📹 Video: Woman carrying a pickaxe caught shoplifting at Rite Aid store in Venice l ABC7
A woman who police say shoplifted from a Rite Aid store in Venice was captured on video carrying a large pickaxe leaving …
When I heard she had a pickax I was envisioning a small, handheld pickax, not the full sized version. I am assuming that was raided from a construction site. Not an easy to conceal weapon. I guess it did the trick, no one tried to stop her. I guess she did not get the memo, no stores in California are stopping shoplifters.
I don’t know about over there or anywhere else but over here in New Jersey that’s not shoplifting that’s called strong arm… That comes with an 85% mandatory sentence. It changes from shoplifting to strong arm or what is considered a violent crime when a weapon is brandished you touch the victim or you attempt to flee from apprehension from the victim or anyone else attempting to stop you while committing a crime. Trust me I know this personally I had to do 4 years and 3 months here in New Jersey over an $85 voucher that I found in the casinos in Atlantic City on the floor when the owner of the voucher who was playing the slots in that area realized what I had just found and noticed it was his he grabbed me by my shirt and I instinctively broke his arm off my shirt with my forearm. When the police came in to file the report I was let out in handcuffs with a robbery in the second degree charge and was forced to play guilty to 5 years because if I were took it to trial and found guilty they were going to smoke me. I don’t know why I just put that all out there just that it’s crazy the things people are doing nowadays and walking away with misdemeanor if no charges at all… Smfh🤯🤯🤯
