Does Using An Amulet Coin Make It Rain?

The Amulet Coin is a special power item available in Pokemon Sword and Shield, Isle of Armor, and the Crown Tundra DLC. It doubles the amount of prize money received from trainers when held by your Pokemon, and it stacks with money-increasing moves. In the core series games, the Amulet Coin doubles the amount of prize money received after battle if the holder takes part in the battle. It also doubles the number of coins picked up from Pay Day, G-Max Gold Rush, and Make It Rain.

The amount doubles if any of the player’s Pokémon that took part in the battle were holding an Amulet Coin. However, having more than one Pokémon holding the item does not further increase the money amount. The Amulet Coin does not boost Make It Rain, but it stacks with the Amulet Coin, quadrupling your prize money. Happy Hour isn’t passive like equipping an Amulet Coin, as it still consumes energy.

In Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, trainers should aim to get at least two Amulet Coins to speed up the process of earning money. If trainers participate in a Double Battle with the first two, the Amulet Coin will give you 10x your level’s worth of coins instead of the usual 5x.

In conclusion, the Amulet Coin is a valuable item for farming money from trainers and trainers. It doubles the amount of prize money received from trainers when held by your Pokemon, and it stacks with money-increasing moves like Gholdengo’s Make It Rain.

Is luck Incense permanent?

Luck Incenses on characters do not carry over into NG+, so the best way to use them is to hoard them until your final file, where you don’t plan on doing any more NG+ restarts. Your IP address has been temporarily blocked due to a large number of HTTP requests. Common causes include the latest version of the Opera browser sending multiple invalid requests to our servers for every page you visit, using the Brave browser or Ghostery add-on, which send extra traffic to our servers for every page you browse, and using GameFAQs regularly with these browsers can cause temporary or permanent IP blocks due to these additional requests.

Some unofficial phone apps may also be using GameFAQs as a back-end, triggering our anti-spambot measures to stop automated systems from flooding the site with traffic. Continued use of these apps may cause your IP to be blocked indefinitely.

If you promise to stop using Luck Incenses, we will unblock your connection for now, but we will immediately re-block it if we detect additional bad behavior.

  • with gengar 0 x speeds only ballons potions and some revives two metagros one blisey one poliwrath witch i never use and a gengar ggs your welcome 😀 and amulet coins farmed from first island meowth is droping it so ezy, the only thing that i dont like from your run just an opinion is tht your going the hard way xd no offensse other than that great job

  • I have been doing a similar method for a while. my team was chansey, gengar, metagross, poliwrath, chandelure and scrafty. it worked great until they nerfed it by putting a cap on how many items you can use per battle. because sometimes the team my face was pretty tough and I’d have to use revives. so seeing a fairly similar team that I can easily build up to doing this consistently again is amazing. can’t wait to see a poke paste of the team 🙂

  • You can pretty much do the Ace academy tournament with all the Pokémon without issue. One thing that I think has been forgotten in all of these articles is maxing the friendship with your Pokémon. It helps prevent things that can end your afk run, with chances to live KOs, Heal status conditions, get more critical hits to hopefully one shot tough Pokémon, and avoid attacks that could hit you and end your run. I’ve been using a flutter mane with max Sp Atk and max Sp Def, holding the amulet coin. It’s been going by itself for the past 10 hours without fail.

  • Thank you for this helpful article! My favorite method thus far has been to do all the raids I possibly can 😂 I don’t catch most of the Pokémon but even the 3 star raids will usually drop a few stardust or star pieces, amongst other goodies. 5 stars will drop better stuff but will take longer and have a higher chance of being lost, but overall I’ve made lots of money that way too! Obviously not afk but simple enough for me. Definitely going to have to try some of these out now!! Thank you for sharing ☺️

  • The AFK-Methode with Sylvion in the Academy Ace Tournament is working perfect. I bought a Hori Turbo Controller and an OTG-Adapter for my Switch Lite and tried it out. I had to tweak the EV values for Sylvion a bit, because i hat a lot of problems with Cosima, but now its working for hours withot a fail. Thanks for this great build. 🙂👍 BTW: Your thumbnail image shows 99,999,999 Pokédollar, but i think the wallet is maxed out at 9,999,999 Pokédollar.

  • You don’t need Choice Specs on Chi-yu to run it, it sweeps everything no problem with only 2 pokemon needing 2 hits. Ran him on my game while I went to sleep and went to work a total of 19 hours. Returned home Money capped. Going into speed is also point less because it out speeds everything in the tournament at base stat, so HP and SATK with one in Defense is the way to go for him. So place Amulet coin on him and let him clear the tournament when you sleep or while at work and you will return with alot of money.

  • I just go through the closest raids I can find to farm shards, XP candy, and other items. I also get LP from defeating the raids, which I usually do in one shot with Azumarill (aside from 5*). While on my way riding to them, I pick up any items I see. Usually, the raids will be near a TM that I don’t have yet too. Probably not the fastest method, but I’m finding money isn’t really the biggest priority right now. I’ve had plenty of Pokedollars and LP to spend on what I want, and I get the XP candy and berries that I need more. I haven’t even dug into my Treasures tab in my bag which has been filling up steadily since I’ve started the game!

  • My thoughts: Lv100 Smeargle with Happy Hour and Payday, holding an Amulet coin. 0 Attack IV with hindering attack nature, encounter something high level in the wild that quad resists normal moves, but isn’t much of a threat, spam tf out of payday, refreshing PP when it runs out. I guess if you wanted to keep the battle going, give Smeargle Heal Pulse to keep the wild Pokémon alive also? 😂

  • Here from Charizard raid stream! I didn’t have anything good enough to participate, so I didn’t bother. Training up a Grimmsnarl for next time. Thinking Light Screen/Swagger/Fairy Terrain and not sure about 4th move. Gonna Light Screen, Swagger Charizard, deploy terrain, then Swagger friendly physical attacker. Or Fake Tears the Charizard, I forget if Grimmsnarl gets that.

  • I generally collect a ton of items on the ground, it’s something I’m addicted to doing, and it has older items like super potions, and poke balls, and great balls, and I sell them off for a decent chunk of change. I’m occasionally getting more coins so I can get Gholdengo. I’ve gotten over 100 the other day.

  • Man even with how easily you can get money in the game, if you want to buy lots of battle items and vitamins and such and especially if youre a fan of apricorn balls, which go at the auction for hundreds of thousands per single ball, youre gonna run out of money so quickly. I’m annoyed they make the apriballs so rare and expensive. You got them from Kurt just for exchanging apricorns and no additional cost in the past. EDIT: Sylveon is my #2 favorite pokemon so the third method is music to my ears. I already have a perfectly built Pixilate Sylveon since the Charizard raids, too. If anyone else is reading this: you do not need an ability patch, you can get Pixilate for free. Raids have Eevees and Eeveelutions with their Hidden Ability from time to time and you can breed those down with a 60% chance. Pixilate is Sylveon’s; if you have an Eevee with Anticipate, then that will become Pixilate for Sylveon and you can even get a Pixilate Sylveon from a raid. Also, lots of players have Hidden Ability Eevees thanks to the Eevee raid weekend. Trading is always an option. Even surprise trades, if you’re lucky. I do wish Ninetales (my #1) was in the game… even its classic counterpart Arcanine is… 🙁

  • Hello fellow trainer. I am a content creator of sorts as well. I am looking to see something. A new challenge, one I have not. But, here it is. February 15, 2023 start a new game on Pokémon Scarlet or Violet. The purpose of this is to create the first shiny only capture Dex. The deal, you get the views, I get the challenge. Rules? Simple, a trainer can only capture shiny wilds, and trade only versions exclusive Pokémon. If I complete mine first, well, I’ll use switch capture to create a montage. Want a new challenge?

  • For the picnic thing, you don’t need to be so specific as to have it exactly on the basket. If it’s near where you are, they will automatically collect it. It’s a feature in the game they promoted on the website. As long as your Pokemon aren’t breeding, they will look for items nearby, and you don’t need to have it near the cushion at all. I’m not sure why people think it needs to be so specific xD

  • Raiding in from the ‘Zard Hunt livestream! Personally, I’ll probably go for the Picnic Method – great way to earn some cash & get some hobby project work done at the same time. One question with this method; does the basket have a hidden maximum item limit, or does it just keep spawning indefinitely? Awesome guide, and this will definitely help me afford all the items & gear when I start playing after Crimbo! Thanks again, and great to see the website recovering!:_AbdallahSmash:

  • I found out this picnic one randomly, didn’t even realize I set up a picnic on an item. Got 2 berries, then looked up if Pokemon sometimes leave items in the basket. They don’t. Edit: ALSO, they do NOT need to have an egg! I set up picnic for about 3 seconds, looked in the basket, just for the sake of it, and there were 2 berries. Edit #2: Nevermind, this is to get even more items cloned! Lol

  • How is this not a glitch with the broken star piece exploit?! Lmao don’t try to lie and play it off like “that’s just how the game works”… Yeah, that’s how the game works when you abuse an exploit in the coding, A.K.A. a GLITCH. Now, I’m not saying doing the first method is bad, or abusing the exploit/glitch is wrong, I’m just saying call it like it is instead of straight-up lying. Great article, otherwise, very helpful. I’m definitely going to try that first tip and the afk method at the end. Thanks for the article! 🙂

  • Hi there, I’m trying your afk method and I have to say that it’s working great. My only problem is that my controller (easysmx esm-4108) turns off by itself after 5 minutes because it goes into power saving mode when using the turbo function with the same button only. I assume that this doesn’t happen to you, so my question would be… @AbdallahSmash,exactically, what controller are you using? Or which one can I use for the REAL afk mode? Thank you. Love your articles!

  • A few quick notes. Sparkling item locations are set. They don’t change or move. However, an item may not appear at a given location every day. The sparkles some locations, like the Asado Desert, reappear 5~20 minutes if you’ve moved away from them. I haven’t actually timed it. When they reappear, they’ll be the same item again. So if you know where a Star Piece is, it’ll be a Star Piece every time it reappears. However, the items at each location change daily. In the Asado desert, the item at each location varies pretty widely… but at the beaches south of Valencia, each location only has 2-3 possible items to spawn, as far as I can tell.

  • Turbo controller? Buying the other physical copy of game would be cheaper. If you own violet buy scarlet viseversa. You buy physical copy because its release version full of bugs exploits at its glory. You turn auto update off. You beat game sell everything buy useful items put it on pokemon wait for pokemon home and start duplicating big nuggets at 20k a pop you will be ritch no time. Just do a trade every time u need to get money.
