After the 2020 election, supporters of then-President Trump began falsely accusing Dominion Voting Systems of rigging the vote. The conspiracy theory emerged that dark forces had hacked into voting systems nationwide to steal the 2020 U.S. presidential election. Ten days after the election, Fox News’ “Brain Room” investigated conspiracy theories about Dominion Voting Systems’ involvement in the election.
The theory claims that an election technology company called Smartmatic switched votes in the 2020 election, but there is no evidence of this. Dominion will attempt to convince a jury that Fox News and its parent company, Fox Corp., acted with “actual malice” or reckless disregard. Social media users have shared content online that claims AT and T had a contract to do a forensic audit on Dominion Voting Systems machines.
Fox News’ fact-checking “Brain Room” found that conspiracy theories about Dominion Voting Systems were false despite the network running the stories. Former Michigan state senator Patrick Colbeck continues to falsely claim that Dominion voting machines can be manipulated via the internet. Eric Coomer, who had an election-security job at Dominion Voting Systems and posted anti-Trump messages on Facebook, went into hiding more than a month ago.
Dominion Voting Systems Corporation is a North American company that produces and sells electronic voting hardware and software, including voting machines. The conspiracy theories have led millions of Republicans to feel as though Dominion Voting Systems rigged the election.

📹 The Secret “SITE B” Detail In Jurassic World That Nobody Talks About
Jurassic World Dominion states that the first generation of dinosaurs in the BioSyn Valley came from Isla Sorna, which means that …
At a minimum they should be forced to publicly admit on their own network, what they lied about and why they felt it appropriate to mislead their viewers – at a minimum a 10-15 minute segment with direct quotes and interview segments of the people who authorized and spewed these lies, at least 4 to 5 times a day, including during peak hours for 1-3 weeks…. 🧘♂️
This theory kind of validates the Locust. BioSyn created the Locust to fund their other ventures like housing the dinosaurs and research of those creatures. By monopolizing the food/farming industry, the company could bring in the capital to continue doing research and make BioSyn look like the good guys by providing sanctuaries for the dinosaurs now loose all over the world.
This highlights one issue I have with “Dominion,” and it’s this; I feel BioSyn wasn’t fully reintegrated well back into the wider saga story of the franchise in this film. This is the rival genetics company (🧬) of INGEN that was introduced all the way back in 1993, and NOW they’re rearing their head and rising as the dominant genetics company of the world post-Lockwood Manor incident? The casual viewer might not really understand what it is about BioSyn that makes them such a threat due to the fact that they’ve been absent from the franchise for the longest time (until recently, that is).
Fun fact: In the original book (the very first one), the dinosaurs are already on the mainland at the very start before the main plot has even begun. The first 2 or 3 chapters are about “unkown creatures” that were attacking a young girl at the beach (The opening of 2nd film on the island orriginally took place on the mainland at the start of the first book) and a baby in a nursery that was killed. The comps and later the velocoraptors escaped the island on the supplyboats.
In an interview during Dominion’s release, Trevorrow said that when Biosyn was given rights to round up all dinosaurs worldwide, this meant ALL dinosaurs – whether escaped from Nublar, newly resurrected species on the black market, and those on Isla Sorna, which is why Ramsey mentions Sorna and why the buck and doe rex are there. Canonically, there were still dinosaurs on Sorna up until Dominion. I can’t find the exact tweet, but I know the talk about Sorna being destroyed was essentially ‘de-canonized’ and said to be propaganda created by the DPG. My theory is that Trevorrow originally wanted Sorna destroyed (explaining the flippant attitudes toward it in JW and FK) but saw how the fans reacted poorly to this and so retconned Sorna into actually still being around. And thanks to Camp Cretaceous it’s canonical that Mantah Corp was plucking species off the island as recently as 2016. So yeah, current canon according to Trevorrow himself is there were dinosaurs on Sorna at LEAST until 2018. After FK Biosyn was granted rights to all the dinos, including those on Sorna, and then began transferring them off. Edit: I found the original quote: ‘As for Biosyn itself, while Dominion doesn’t explain exactly what the company was up to during the rise and fall of Jurassic World, Trevorrow did offer up his own thoughts on how Biosyn likely got back in the dinosaur game: “This is just how I see it, we don’t define it as clearly in the movies, but I always saw it as the fall of Jurassic World was an opportunity for them and the combination of being able to secure the rights to get the animals from Sorna, which we mention that they do, to (being) able to take the animals that are now not only being created at various points across the globe, but have escaped and all of those embryos, everything that got out that they’ve been able to come up with, in a lot of ways, a really justifiable reason, an excuse to lay out to all these different governments, ‘Hey, are these dinosaurs a problem for you?
Came right when I got notified Klayton! Left a like too! I’m so glad that Site B is now getting answers in the new lore with! I remember all the speculation articles you and others made about what happened to the dinosaurs on site B! It was great tho seeing the Buck and Doe Rex in Dominion, the Buck being my favorite dinosaur in the franchise wish we could’ve saw it more!
Funnily enough, I recently watched Jack Ewins’ timeline article on the progression of the dinosaurs between the islands up until Dominion. Basically Dodgson was doing this kind of dinosaur movement to his site in secret LONGER than InGen was out of action and the Nublar dinosaurs were in peril and moved off the island. Dang it, Colin, it’s like unintentional five dimensional chess here… That being said, megacorporations committing enormous corporate fraud while keeping things quiet isn’t unheard of in our world. But it usually not this complicated.
Hello Klayton! My name is Jacob and I’m a huge jurassic fan and decided to make a novel that takes place on sorna during hurricane clarissa. The characters are a paleontologist, genetic engineer, and security guard that get caught up in the evacuation and are let stranded with all of the newly released dinosaurs. I was wondering, if you would know, if any of the dinosaurs that were released would have been close to full size or somewhere in the ball park of being sub-adult? The reason I ask this is because it would be nice for the characters to be able to encounter larger specimens and not just juveniles and chicks.
I actually never thought about this and now that you have brought it up it completely changes things and makes the canon lore so much more complicated. If Biosyn had their own amber supply since the 90s and had some control over InGen as far back as the early as 1999 then why in the hell would they have wanted to steal from InGen? was it just for revenge? If so InGen always had extra viable embryos at their disposal, it’s not like Dennis Nedry took Jurassic Park’s whole supply. On the hand, while I still hate JWD main plot revolving around locusts they do make some sense now given that the context you created explains how Biosyn should have been loosing money if they had to maintain the Dino’s from Sorna; the locusts and their seeds would have made a great source of income in order to keep funding their projects and research on dinosaurs. Here’s the problem with that, they could have done so before JP3. I’m pretty sure Dr. Wu was still part of InGen back when the amalgam testing was going on and supposedly Biosyn was secretly controlling that operation, who’s to say they couldn’t have gotten him to make those locusts during that period. Why wait now? I’m still super confused by it all and don’t grasp it fully but that’s what I’ve gotten from all this
That is a very good question, and it’s something that I have no idea how to answer. The idea of taking Sorna’s dinosaurs into the BioSyn Valley had to have had some people discovering, or at least hearing rumors about, before the events of “Fallen Kingdom”, but the fact that it was so secretive just boggles my mind. Maybe because the events of “Jurassic World” were such a global story on the news that it distracted people from BioSyn, or something, I’m not sure.
What I really want to know is how the press got SO much information on Maisie. It was initially such a closely guarded secret and it’s in the best interests of everyone involved, good or bad, even the GOVERNMENT to keep that secret, but they just casually chuck that into the information dump report at the beginning of Dominion.
This!! I’m so glad you made this article bringing all this up! I’ve been thinking about it since dominion came out. When I knew Dodgson was coming back I figured that basically the events of TLW in the book happened but worked out in his favor and that it was going to be explored in the movie. My idea was that Dodgson was successful in taking dinos from Sorna at the same time as TLW and that Biosyn was creating their own dinos in secret and releasing them into the real world when they found out that the dinos were set loose in FK. I had the idea that the main cast noticed the different versions and amounts of dinosaurs was more than what was set loose in FK and that they would discover Biosyn and all the while Biosyn and Dodgson would get background and character development to tie it in with JP and TLW. I hoped that Dodgson on Sorna in the 90’s taking baby dinos would be a good opening sequence. Anyways that was just what I really wanted from dominion but unfortunately we didn’t lol
It was mentioned on the site that some of the dinos were evacuated from Sorna after the catastrophe and sent to Jurassic World, it’s possible that some of the transports delivering the Animals “mysteriously disappeared” (were bribed by biosyn). Also it was speculated in JP3 that Spiny was the result of meddling by Ingeen after the park was turned into a sanctuary. Not only does the destruction by Spiny reenforce the idea that it brought ecological collapse on Sorna, but if they can so easily have brought Animals onto the Island (as well as all the tourism that apparently happens which is how Erik got stranded) then it wouldn’t be too difficult to take them off either.
Biosyn Seed is how they off set the cost. If you get multiple Nation to just buy from you as well as Independent Farmers, then release a Locust that only eat competition, wham you control the market. You don’t need to hit every crop just the 10 Major in everything like Corn, Wheat, Rice, Soy, Potato, etc.
In production it’s kind of sobering the remember that a lot of executives and higher-ups working on the projects of the film’s probably thought fans didn’t give a damn about the initial two sequels. After all the sort of reference was only thrown into Fallen Kingdom last minute and because of the viral marketing. The 2010s were very weird when it came to the nostalgia boom because there was a lot of assumptions that certain franchise has had a lot of nostalgic fans but the fans were only nostalgic about the first iteration and installment. I think my the latter part of the 2010s and then especially by the 2020s, studios and creators had wised-up.
Ok, Sorna was never mentioned in any of the Jurassic World movies. Not once. Colin Trevarrow even said he didn’t consider 2 or 3 canon anymore, probably because they completely obliterate FK’s plot. Even if they moved all the dinos from site B to A, the island erupted and all but like 50 of them died. And that wouldn’t have stopped them from being able to move them all back to site B before the eruption. I know at the end of the first JP novel they bombed Nublar, but that didn’t happen in the films and they went back to that island for JW1.
My question is, we saw things like the chaos effect toy line. While not cannon, Ingen by the whole island chain. So, they could technically make it cannon. While Site B is the “factory floor”, it’s been said that it was mostly for show, and very little actual research was done there. They just raise the animals and then ferry them over to Site A. So naturally, the actual R&D happened on one of the other islands. Which leaves a lot of possibilities for some freaky stuff.
Yeah… Michael Crichton’s second Jurassic Park book, ‘Lost World’, was set on Isla Sorna, Where Hammond has a second, secret facility. This was where all the real work of genetic modification, and rearing the dinosaurs were done, not the showcase lab that was part of the tour round Jurassic Park. Whilst on Isla Sorna, the protagonists discover that the dinosaurs they encounter are very young: they are breeding and dying far earlier than anyone expected. Eventually, they learn that due to the way the first generation was raised, and then to both the overpopulation of the island, and the fact it was easily transmitted and was highly contagious, all the dinosaurs are infected with a prion disease known only as DX. This disease will ultimately lead to the re-extinction of dinosaurs, since. Another story thread that got mentioned in the very first film, almost in passing, was again, a far bigger plot line in the book, leading to some dinsaurs escaping off the islands onto mainland South America. This was the Lysine Contingency. It’s mentioned just once in the Jurassic Park film as a failsafe to ensure escaped dinosaurs didn’t survive. In the book, it’s explained that all the dinosaurs were genetically engineered so they couldn’t make the amino acid Lysine in their own bodies. Their only supply of the chemical came in the specially designed food they were fed at the park, and without this supply they would quickly die off. However, at the end of the book that some strange bird like creatures have been seen heading into the forested mountains at the back of the mainland close.
I think biosyn made a lot of money under the table with research. Because people have known about ingen and the dinosaurs for years. They could make tons of money with selling to the world of paleontology/paleobiology or even the field of genetics. We know how many people want dinosaurs so if they can’t have them then the next best thing is the ability to make their own or getting them second hand from biosyn
What is also crazy is that Isla Siena is even bigger compared to Nublar, and it isn’t your theme park designed island. Like before it’s the experimenting ground, and a lot more wild. I think it’s considerably lazy writing that they just wrote off that they all just died, and just left it at that. I mean is it the Lysine contingency or something, because I thought the dinosaurs had firmly established their own ecosystem on their own. I don’t know these newer movies are not as good as the originals, but it’s good to hear about this universe and hear the old music he uses in explains this stuff again. 😀👍😎
In the second book, at Site B they couldn’t figure out how to keep the dinosaurs alive for very long, unless they released them out into the wilds. Even then they had a high death rate. They weren’t really counting or able to count survivors. And that is a prime opportunity for some group to get to site B and steal baby dinos, all they really need is to observe when they get released and snatch them up shortly after.
I’m not a content creator, at least yet, so I have no home base to share with, but damn. I’d love to sit and talk Jurassic, or a specific topic on Jurassic. We are on the same page with so much, differ in random areas (mainly TLW). You’d be a blast to just nerd out with. If you ever do articles with you and fans commentating or just chatting- I’ll gladly toss my hat in the ring.
Hey Klayton i think this article idea might be outdated. But back in jurassic park 3 when we first see the t rex eating a corpse of a unknown dinosaur and i was wondering if u would like to do a article talking about this unknown dinosaur that has been eaten. Prob could be a spinosaurus or some other creature.
Bro take the island from dominion & set it after the events of JW3, have it as a dark horror type movie. Private military trying to get some sort of secret from the main building, they crash land before getting to their destination and have to get past a bunch of dinosaurs. Use similar events like the T-Rex scene from the lost world or the Denis nerdy death from the books. Instant money maker
Honestly, it’s writer incompetence and not knowing their damn lore. I’ll be honest here Klayton, the more I look at the Jurassic World movies, the more comparisons I can make between it and the sequel trilogy of Star Wars: – Jurassic World is basically The Force Awakens because it kind of rethreads the very first movie (Jurassic Park and A New Hope). People liked it enough and it made a shitton of money. – Fallen Kingdom is basically The Last Jedi. Convoluted mess of a story with too many plot threads, too many characters and a bunch of things that don’t make a lick of sense, least liked movie in the trilogy. -Dominion is basically The Rise of Skywalker. Tries to tie up the messy plotlines from the movies that came before, give a shitton of fanservice yet drops the ball so hard that it makes a damn crater, however it’s at least mildly more enjoyable than the movie that came before it. EDIT: I almost forgot to add here that it retcons shit from the previous movie! JWFK/TLJ -> “You’re a clone of Lockwood’s daughter, Charlotte, he lost her and he couldn’t live without her”/”You’re a nobody” to JWD/TRoS -> “Charlotte Lockwood is actually your mother and she basically cloned herself and cured her uncurable disease because she da best!”/”You’re Palpatine’s granddaughter.” Hell, even who directed it mirrors the sequel trilogy! JW/TFA -> Trevorrow/Abrams, JWFK/TLJ -> Bayona/Johnson, JWD/TRoS -> Trevorrow/Abrams. But the throughline here is that the people behind both of these series of movies don’t know what the fuck they were doing and didn’t THINK about the lore and how it all fits together.
I also think that demon carnotaurus with the broken horn and three scars that’s bigger than the other who’s black and Orange came from sorna. 1. Different in size to all the other nublar carnos, most of everything that was on sorna was bigger than it was on nublar, trikes, pteras, and a handful of others 2. The coloration, just like the jp3 ankys it too was black and had an opposing warm color. Just like the jp3 male raptor and even the tiger raptors. The ceratosaurus as well, and even the brachi. The colors are too dissimilar to the usually brighter color cooler colors that the inhabitants on nublar are made up of. Which I honestly think demon being from sorna is a better justification for it being so different from the others. I also don’t think that carno specifically is a female. Makes and female individuals of a species usually don’t differ so drastically in any quality unless their bugs. These types of colors also look to belong to male variants as in nature most of the time the bland dull colors belong to the females. So I think it’s honestly very probable demon came from sorna.
It’s interesting that you say that the other rexes at the Biosyn preserve are the male and female from Lost World, because based upon the events of Camp Cretaceous I thought that the rexes were the female and baby from Lost World. I figured Dodgson went back to the other island to get them when Biosyn started their preserve. My assumption was that the male got killed by the Spinosaurus in JP3. Can you tell me why you believe differently? There definitely could be something I missed.
I get Star Wars sequel vibes when they ignored the prequels the best they could. And then Jurassic World 1-3 doing the same thing with the two JP sequels. I’m so confused on how / when Biosyn got the site b dinosaurs. Because Ramsey tells grant and sattler that they just got “the T. Rex” it’s like. What? You have two others don’t you? why is the Giga the only apex predator till Rexy came about. It’s really disappointing that JW cannon is pretty messy and confusing if you go off of just films. Also I feel like Colin just put the JP3 raptor and rex display as a Easter egg in 2015. More than a cannon thing unfortunately. Meaning I don’t think the Sorna raptors from JP3 were ever on Sorna. And no male Rex. Just rexy for ten years.
The Costa Rican and/or US government(s) could have secretly decided to move some of the dinos off of Site B for safety reasons and turned to Biosyn to do it. The governments could then have been secretly paying Biosyn all this time to house and take care of those dinos. Its not outside the realm of possibility.
I kind of wonder if Biosyn used the Sorna dinosaurs as a way to help them “reverse engineer” their own animals? That’s kind of what the idea of smuggling the embryos off Nublar was in the first movie, at least as I understand it. Obviously Dr. Wu wasn’t working for them until after the events of Fallen Kingdom (as best we know) and they’ve clearly been working on the DNA side of things for a while before he was brought into the fold. I guess my question is when exactly did they start stealing animals from Sorna? was it before or after JP3? There’s a lot of questions here that haven’t been addressed and they clearly weren’t thinking about during the writing of Dominion (which is one of my BIG issues with that movie). I would like for them to do something with the Sorna situation going forward, be it a netflix series or even a tie in novel. There’s a lot of story potential there that seems to have been largely ignored or only very briefly touched on.
Bros, i’d give anything for an open world game that has either of the islands from the movie, fully modeled and explorable. It could have abandoned buildings you never see in the movies. It starts out a few months after the islands close down after the first film. You are in a little propeller plane flying over the island. A pterodactyl smashes into your plane and you parachute out over a random part of the island. When you land you have to get your bearings and scavenge around looking for supplies to maintain hunger, thirst, fatigue, fear, illness, injury, vehicle fuel, tools and parts for repairing jeeps or power conduits. You have a series of objective based missions to complete to successfully call for an evac, but youre constantly stalked by raptors, rexes, dilophosauruses, compies. You have to craft defensive weapons and diversionary consumables. Completing one objective like fixing the water pumps, allows you to enter a tunnel door behind a waterfall which will unlock the next objective like repairing the gas powered generator for the lab section of the island. Multiplayer mode lets you split up to accomplish tasks quicker. Each time you play thru, the landing site where you parachute changes, the non-mission critical items are randomized, the dinosaurs spawn points are switched around, the order that you have to complete mission objectives is shifted. This play though you need to find the water wheel item first, but the next time you drop in you are first tasked with finding batteries for the handheld GPS.
Honestly it makes sense that Biosyn wanted to keep the dinosaurs for so long on the DL even if it costed money. They were just waiting for the right time to use them to make them profitable. If word got out about the failure of OG Jurassic Park, then the public’s perception of dinosaurs wouldn’t be so great. Maybe they were waiting for the Jurassic World to be a success before being like “hey we have dinos too”
Hi klayton you do amazing content. I am a big fan of TLW and it always make me curious how the set of the operation center looked like. There is really no data how the OC loked like inside and what was in the right side of the the building a long with the back.before they change it for embryonic admistrration I would really dig a episode dedicated the set of the workers village. I know that it is your favorite movie and a lot of people like me dig JP2 mire then anything else . Thanks regards 👍👍
The profit was the biogenetic material, remember they wanted the embryos in the first movie and in the books. They wanted the originals to see the generic coding and the blueprint how Ingen did it. Remember the end goal wasn’t the Dino’s, the end goal was crops and feed and global food supplies, they picked the Dino’s up well before they got their hands on Wu, so they were using the Dino’s as a map to catch up to ingen’s progress
Anyone else think Ingen was stupid for cloning/breeding dinosaurs for money when the real money would have been in bringing back plant species to exploit for pharmaceutical purposes? I mean in the first movie we see Sattler looking at a plant species that supposedly had been extinct since the cretaceous, so we know they can bring back plants.
Something that always bothering me about Fallen Kingdom was the idea of taking them off the Island chain in the first place. From my understanding (and because of how Island Volcanism works) Site B wasn’t actively volcanic, and since there are no animals there at the time, it is virtually undisturbed habitat.
Biosyn wanted to study the dinos, learn how they were created and clone them but make them different enough so they could pass off as their own creations rather than obvious copies of Ingen’s work. The entirely same reasons why Dodgson hired Nedry to steal the embryos and then later went to Sorna himself (in TLW novel) to take the eggs.
Just because the public is told Site A is the last place with living dinos does not mean it’s the truth. In JP3 Udeski and the Kirbys were surprised to learn there were two islands with dinos. Keep in mind this was after Ian had blown the whistle about what happened at JP and the San Diego incident and still the general public has no concept of what was going on with these islands. Another thing in TLW the islands are called Los Cinco Mortes by the locals. This leads one to believe that there are five islands in this chain (Isla Nublar, Isla Sorna, and three others) so if that is true there could be dinos (escaped/placed) on those other islands. Also, there are many ways (secret or otherwise) to profit from rare animals and most are not legal or moral. As for the whole thing with the locust, that was just something that went sideways. Dodgson and Wu were both surprised at how things played out with the locusts and while Wu was finally humbled, horrified, and remorseful; Dodgson was in complete CYA mode and trying to spin this disaster to his advantage. From JP to Dominion, the takeaway was that the issue was never the Dinos (they’re just animals) it was hubris and greedy/ambitious people that are the danger, the dinosaurs/locusts were just the means by which this was made apparent.
i cant realy give an opinon yet since i havent seen but i always thought this: in jp2 we meet the trex couple and the child, in jp3 the trex that was killed by the spino was that child the trex couple died because of the age or some reason like failing to hunt or something, (in the book the dinos where infected with something because of sheepmeat so that they dont live that long)
You need to look at the original books to understand who Biosyn really is, specifically Crichton’s The Lost World. Dominion does a terrible job at explaining the corruption, reverse engineering, and corporate espionage that Dodgson was responsible for. He is NOT the Steve Jobs archetype figure as he is portrayed. In the books (which should always be canon) he is a cold-hearted, menace. To your point, if Biosyn somehow succeeded in kidnapping dinosaurs or embryos off of the island, their end game wasn’t for entertainment, it was to exploit an animal species and experiment their pharmaceuticals on them without governmental regulation. Therefore, they could still make turn a profit while continuing their shady and unethical business practices. The Biosyn in dominion is a far cry from what Crichton described.
Hmmm it does leave u questioning everything doesn’t it I mean I would say maybe Biosyn decided to take dinosaurs off Isla Sorna between JP3 and Jurassic World but how is a mystery would want to see a Biosyn movie based on that like first show what happened in 1993 and then fast forward to when they start to plan to capture dinos and we can finally go back to Isla Sorna and see the Buck and Doe and maybe the Spino and as a little thing having to the point that Masrani was planning to also take dinosaurs from the island and move them to the park but idk if that would work overall I would very much like the mentions of Sorna and the little things we get like the raptors and other things.
If we go off what it is also written in the first book. Biosyn wanted the dinosaurs not only to reverse engineer what Ingen had done and bring it to the market first. But, behind closed doors, they would conduct extreme and/or harsh drug experiments and research on their dinosaurs. Labeling them as ‘product’ and not ‘animals’ as a way to get around all of the laws and regulations involved in animal testing.
Site B . is well known if one has read the original book Michael Crichton 1990s novel Jurasic park its mentioned several times. The book it self is 10 x better than the movie, the same with the jurasic park the lost world . I would recomend every one to read the original 2 books as they are so much more detailed, bloody than the movies. Scenes of the 2nd movie come from the original first book . There where 3 opening chapters in the original book, 1 worker in hospital atacked by an unkown animal, 2 a baby beeing eaten in a crib by a comptosaurus . and a small child beeing bitten by a comptosuarus at the beach where a rich couple on a yacht had a picknick .
Maby you said this or mentioned this at some point in time but I have to ask did most of the dinosaurs from sorna die before masrani global took the rest of the dinos to jurasdic world 2015 or did byosin somehow come in before masrani and steal alot of the dinos. I mean I know they took the male and female rexs fron the lost world but what about the other species and what not. Sorry if you explained this already and im just not paying attention I was just wondering cuz I dont know.
The recent movies have been such a let down I don’t bother thinking that much about them but I imagine the grain they had already genetically altered and spread around the globe was a product gained from studying the dinosaurs and plants. The locust were of similar design but the implication is they had already been altering the grain for awhile.
They probably didn’t get them straight from Site – B. You even said yourself. It’s pretty obvious. Biosyn probably sent people to Lockwood Manor to buy at the auction, and Jurassic World probably sold some assets, too. Claire was all about business, and Massrani was probably oblivious to it. He may have been during the illegal cloning Wu did… I don’t know how you miss your main scientist disappearing and a Dinosaur Sanctuary suddenly having boat traffic… Even smuggling off of Nublar and Sorna when Jurassic World was operational is a viable option. Maybe, yes, perhaps Biosyn had agents undercover when transporting the Sorna dinos to Nublar, it would be the easiest way since they’ll already have a reason to be there, get the dinos, and get them out… an alabi could be at the ship sunk, or the helicopter went down depending on how they retrieved the creatures. I see payoffs in the Costa Rican government being viable, too… Edit = Also, making money isn’t the only reason to have the dinosaurs… yes, there is a short supply of a wholesome reason to have them, but there’s demand for legitimate research and study for purely noble reasons. Paleontological, biological, evolutionary, where we came from and how we got here… stuff like that.
the best i can figure is that biosyn’s intent originally was the plot as outlined in the Jurassic park novel, and then followed up on in the lost world novel. get samples of Ingen’s dino’s, remove any ingen patented junk DNA that marks them as made by that company, and then insert biosyn DNA markers and clone new stock you can claim as your own while insisting you just recreated the same research.
I know it’s me being pedantic but, it’s been bothering me lately that you have two islands several hundred square miles apart that somehow housed enough house-sized dinosaurs to encompass the world over. I mean, what do these things grow like weeds and reproduce every couple of weeks or something? You’d think the military would just mow them down in an afternoon. A week at best.
The websites aren’t canon. Even now the jurassic world website does not have have the information about the fate of the Site B dinosaurs, hell it advertises live shows and dominion. So a source that was only available for a limited period of time, and is not backed up in the movies, can’t be canon. It was simply marketing since why even mention site b at all except to stop people from asking about it.
What I don’t get in this case is if the 1st batch of dinosaurs biosyn stole came from site B probably in the very late 90’s or very early 2000’s then where the hell is the spinosaurus? Even if you assume JP3 took place AFTER the 1st batch of dinosaurs were stolen, the fact there are no living dinosaurs left on Sorna means that either the Spino was taken and is being held somewhere OR the virus that wiped them out in the 2nd book must have happened off screen on site B but either way it’s a huge plot hole
Biosyn was making money from the intellectual property from the unique dna from the dinos. Like adding cuttlefish camo to animals, or making modern animals more resilient to diseases, making grains stronger with dna from ancient plants, this kind of thing is already real with Monsanto, so not that far fetched
What if biosyn just simply purchased them from InGen to help of set some of the cost of building Jurassic Wold they sold Dino’s that have been wild they would very likely be hostile towards humans and are now so old that they would not be as appealing a audience if they were able to catch and train them
Even before the premiere of “Dominion” I was convinced that the secret Biosyn base should be on Isla Sorna. I was disappointed that their base is in the Dolomites. After the premiere, more things disappointed, but nevermind🙂 Now I think the same. It was on Isla Sorna that Biosyn created dinosaurs and then transported them to the Dolomites. Kayla could help them because she knew (with one exception) the fauna of the valley. Another argument for Isla Sorna are atrociraptors that are very similar to velociraptors from TLW. Ramsay Cole is hiding something.🤔 There is one exception that does not fit Isla Sorna – pyroraptor. It was the only creature Kayla didn’t know. She was surprised by his presence on the dam and his skills. It is additionally adapted to cold and mountain conditions. Did the pyroraptor originate in the Dolomites? Or maybe there is another secret base where they studied dinosaurs resistant to low temperatures? For me, this is the most mysterious dinosaur that has appeared so far.
Directors, writers, and studios for modern day franchises like this seem to think Michael Bay is a really amazing story teller. I wouldn’t count on this franchise getting any better (in fact, count on it getting much worse), let alone getting plot holes explained in future films. The episode of South Park for Imagination land where the government asks Michael Bay to come up with an idea about how to stop the terrorists is how I look at Michael Bay (and all modern franchises…MCU, non-Zynder DCEU, Jurrasic Park, Ghostbusters, etc)
I think you’re conflating too separate things when you say that Biosyn always wanted to profit off the dinosaurs they stole from InGen. What they really sought was the technology (or at least the parts of it they weren’t able to replicate through their own R & D) that allowed InGen to produce those dinosaurs, and the easiest way to do that was to get specimens that they could study and reverse-engineer from. The actual applications of that technology (and the means of profiting from it) needn’t have anything to do with dinosaurs at all, so not being able to sell those stolen specimens isn’t really a loss. There may have even been a degree of corporate pride in continuing to possess assets they their rival had failed to hold onto.
It’s been 8 years since Jurassic World released and I don’t like that movie like I once did. I disliked Fallen Kingdom and Dominion upon first viewing, but Jurassic World was a special case because it was the only one to truly fool me due to its nostalgia-baiting and the use of seeing the park coming to life. However, the film’s trickery has long since worn off and I just couldn’t bring myself to finish it again. Contrast that to the Jurassic Park trilogy and I can watch any one of those films all the way through (even JP3, a film I don’t like). Personally, this franchise needs to either die or be soft-rebooted by creating a new timeline set after JP3. Maybe do an interquel movie that shows the hurricane event that destroyed Isla Sorna, or pull an Underwater/Meg move by having humans go up against dinosaurs in the ocean. Just saying, there are tons of ways to go about the Jurassic Park universe, but it definitely needs a reset.
Too many plot holes in Dominion. If it had a better direction, that movie would be epic to end a trilogy. But they love to put unnecessary things with locust, Maisie’s, etc that should done in Fallen Kingdom. Like most of the former audiences dissappointment, it doesn’t delivered. Feels like an unsatisfied long waited final showdown. I called it a missopportunity.
If all this is true and the male and female tyrannosaurus from sight b where captured before the events of dominion why didn’t come and help rexy battle the giga and they capturing dinosaurs from the islands and the mainland long periods of time and byosin is doing this without the American creek and Costa Rican government is knowledge one I’m surprised they don’t do an investigation and see were all these dinosaurs are coming form
A potential reason is site b isn’t secure enough so governments contracted out a company to secure move and maintain the animals to a safer location where no one could accidentally paraglide onto the island or a cruise ship stopping by and exposing civilians to danger. And if it was government contracted it would mean big money for biosyn and explain the secrecy
The problem with anything after 3 to really cause 3 is a problem all itself but they had a t-rex stomp through a major US city after that it would be a major crime in all countries with UN to even suggest making a dinosaur after 1997 and teams would have been sent in to whipe all that out just like they were in the book the idea that engen would still be company and make a functional park after how many murders on their watch how much property damage from the trex in San Diego and building a park over seas and in the us that never made a dimo engen would be completely bankrupt and biosyn would have been forced to stop anything dino related the entire concept of the second trilogy is bat s$%^ campy
Got the last movie was so bad. It was so fking bad I didn’t think they could top how bad the one before that was but holy crap, the theri stabs the Giga with its claws like wtf no just no. And all the corny punch lines 🤦♂️. Like the new trilogy makes those old cheesey carnosaurus movies look good like wtf were the writers smoking? Seriously wtf.
I feel like Trevorrow has ruined JP for me. The whole thing is a mess with a lot of potholes and every time someone points those holes out he gives some poor explanation and calls it canon, even though the explanation creates new potholes. The JP univers is sadly poorly written and the only too people who did understand it was Michael Crayton and Steven Spielberg. It is super clear how incompetent Trevorrow is by looking how JP, JP2 is made compared to JP3. JP and JP2 had this special vibe too them that JP3 hasn’t but what annoys me the most is JP 2 and JP 3 is the same location but the vegetation is sooo different clearly showing Trevorrows lack of detail in his work. This leaves hardcore fans to must come up with theories to correct his mistakes because we want to love everything JP related and sense we get so little content we have to make it work with what we got. We can’t even get a good Jurassic park game without it being cancelled. I love JP so much but god universal makes it hard! Stood it to me, they should do like marvel did to correct Death Pool. Come up with some silly idea that completely erase what have happened and start over again. Something stupid like Dr. Malcolm waking up in 1998 and it was all a bad dream. Too be honest JP3 and JW is good but could have been performed better. But that’s were it ends. I can rewatch all the JP movies and JW but the last two movies isn’t rewatchable. I tried with fallen kingdom but as soon they left the island I lost interest real quick and found something else to watch.
The jw trilogy was easily the worst sequel series I’ve ever seen. Incredibly inconsistent. Constantly trying to nostalgia bait the community. All while the only interesting the series did was… give us written out lore…? I’m sorry tf is this five nights at Freddy’s? The only thing tying up the loose ends is stuff cobbled together on websites and this is just not how you do a story. Yeah let’s leave all the interesting stuff on paper and make 7 second clip articles be the bread and butter of our trilogy and absolutely drop the ball down a mineshaft in the ending of the trilogy. Jurassic world more like Jurassic L. So tired of being strung along by promotional material. Fanbase carries this franchise like a truck. Carried it so hard all that “interesting” stuff was made by the fans 💀 got the fans outdoing the studio
No, I’m sorry Klayton, but there is NO way Dominion (and maybe to some extent the entire JW franchise and even JP3) can be considered canon. Let’s just leave that whole idea behind, as that is NOT an idea worth acknowledging nor continuing! And no, we’re absolutely NOT accepting the idea that the JW Rexy and the two other JW Rexes actually represents the JP Rexy and the TLW Rexes, they are two different franchises, with JP being the actual one and JW being the bad fan-fiction one!
