What is the most powerful tarot card?

Tarot cards are a popular tool for self-reflection and guidance, as well as entertainment and exploring subconscious mind aspects. However, there is no single card that stands out as the most powerful. Each card has different meanings and impacts, depending on the context, question, and reader interpretation. Some of the most influential cards include The Fool, the first card of the Major Arcana, which represents new beginnings and infinite possibilities.

The Fool is often depicted as a young man about to step off a cliff, with a dog at his feet, a bag on his shoulder, and a white rose in his hand. The Tower, the third card, represents the power of turning ideas into reality and the potential to create and transform ourselves. Overall, the Tarot cards play a significant role in shaping our lives and providing guidance.

What is the luckiest card in the tarot?

The Wheel of Fortune card, part of the Major Arcana, is a symbol of destiny, fortune, success, elevation, luck, and felicity. It is often depicted in a six- or eight-spoked wheel, often attended by an individual dressed in an Egyptian-style headdress. In some decks, such as the AG Müller, the wheel is also attended by an individual wearing a blindfold. The wheel is not always inscribed with any lettering, but the letters T-A-R-O (clockwise) or T-O-R-A (counter clockwise) can be found aligned against four of the spokes, which can also be interpreted as R-O-T-A, the Latin word meaning “wheel”.

In some decks, such as the Waite, the wheel is inscribed with additional alchemical symbols representing the four elements: Earth, Air, Fire, and Water. These emblems can also be seen on the Magician’s table in the Magician card (Card I).

Should you pull a tarot card daily?

One method of establishing a practice of tarot is to pull a card each morning and record one’s thoughts and reflections on it in a journal. Additionally, touching the cards may prove advantageous. A well-executed morning tarot spread is an excellent way to commence the day with a tarot reading, instilling a sense of excitement and anticipation.

Is it OK to pull tarot cards for yourself?

Tarot readings can be done by beginners, providing insight into current situations, honoring intuition, and forecasting potential outcomes. To begin, clean the energy of your space by burning herbs, ringing bells or chimes, taking a bath, or using crystals. A Selenite wand is a popular energy refresher that aids clarity.

Sit comfortably and close your eyes, focusing on the protective energy surrounding you. Take deep breaths, think about your question or needing guidance, and keep your mind and heart open to the answers that may come through the cards. Shuffle the deck, focusing on your desired query, and shuffle the cards in front of you. The pattern laid out is called a “spread”, and the meaning of each card in combinations builds up to the overall answer to your query.

Before beginning to shuffle, know which spread you will be working with. As answers come through, it’s important to draw additional cards for further clarity or start with a new question from a different perspective. Tarot readings can be a powerful tool for personal growth and understanding.

What does it mean if your tarot card is death?

The Death tarot card is often misunderstood and feared due to its name, but in the upright position, it signifies a profound transformation rather than physical death. It represents the end of a significant phase in life that is no longer serving you, and it encourages letting go of the past for something new and more valuable. Although initial changes may be challenging, they hold potential for personal growth and renewal.

In the reversed position, the Death card suggests resistance to change, as holding onto old perspectives or beliefs could hinder progress and leave you feeling stagnant. Accepting and embracing change can open doors to new opportunities and a brighter future.

In love, the Death card signals that change is coming to your relationship, indicating that you or your partner are clinging to a no longer working connection or old habits hindering progress. The outcome depends on both partners’ willingness to embrace change for the better.

In summary, the Death tarot card can be a powerful tool for personal growth and renewal, and it can also be used in love readings to indicate the need for significant changes or letting go of certain aspects of a relationship.

What is the most valuable tarot card?

The Fool is a card in tarot games, not part of the Major Arcana. In most games, the Fool is independent of both plain suit cards and trump cards, and does not belong to either category. Tarot decks originally made for game playing do not assign a number to the Fool indicating its rank in the suit of trumps. The Fool is one of the most valuable cards in almost all tarot games.

In tarot games originating from Italy and France, the Fool has a unique role, sometimes called “the Excuse”. In these games, the player excuses the player from following suit or playing a trump. At the end of the trick, the player takes back the Fool and adds it to their trick pile, giving the trick’s winner the least valuable card from that same pile. If there are no cards to give in exchange, the Fool is worth one point less and an extra point is given to the trick-taker.

In a minor variant option of French tarot, a player dealt trump 1 but with no other trumps or the Fool can make trump 1 behave the same as the Fool. In official tournament rules, a player in this situation must declare their hand and force a redeal.

  • I just lost a card rn😭😭and it’s my first time. I’m a beginner too.. I was doing a card reading for myself and I tend to close my eyes when shuffling the cards. And all of a sudden one of them flew away and I couldn’t find it in my room at all 😭😭(plus my room isn’t even big) it feels like it ran away 😂😭

  • If it was only one card, I would still read with the deck. I had one reading, where it was about travel, new job and adventure but the 8 of wands did not turn up. Instead all the other cards hinted that way. So the answer was still yes, there will be a new job in a new place with lots of adventure. When I put the cards back into the box I saw the 8 of wands in there. It was almost, as if the rest of the cards made up for the one missing card, like they knew it was gone. Funny how these things play out smetimes 🙂

  • I recently discovered, on sorting carefully through a deck I call my Learning Deck, that a card is missing. I asked someone who knows the tarot better than me if that was the deck telling me something (thinking I sounded like a crazy person for asking) and she has yet to come back to me with her thoughts on that so I’ve done some research on my own. The first thing I did was to look up everything I could about the card’s meaning – and lo and behold, it represents a whole bunch of crucial energies that are actually also missing (and much missed) from my life at the moment. I find that spooky, in a good way, because it’s the same way that the tarot cards “talk to me” by offering me answers or more questions about the things I ask it, when we “have a conversation”. I think that now I’ve received this wisdom, the card could well make its way back to me since I know it has not left the house. I certainly hope so. It’s a beautiful pack to work with, and although I have another deck which I would gladly use to read for other people, I would not use the Learning Deck for anyone but myself because of that missing card and how closely my missing energies tied into the missing card. Thank you for this article. I appreciate the information you’ve given in it.

  • I cleaned the basement and found a an old box of my crystals and tarot card decks an interest I had as a youth. I decided to open all my decks reset them and was very happy the cards where all there yet one of my decks had all the cards but the world and this was during Covid 19 2020 I kind of thought to get rid of the deck but they’re so pretty and cute I was like well the world is in shambles anyway so I’m keeping my deck! Thank you for this article I will do more research on the world card!

  • Been having challenges in my marriage, hubby and I haven’t been communicating well and that was leaving me feeling a little lonely and lacking in attraction. Last night we had a really deep heart to heart and this morning I found the king of cups in my home office. I didn’t even notice that it was gone for at least a week. Thought that an interesting revelation and I wanted to share.

  • Hello Amy – this is a lovely story . You totally opened up my eyes to see missing card s differently. I’ve got a deck with two missing cards, got it used and forgot to make sure all cards are complete -haha.Upto now I thought I cannot use it.after perusal your approach I am curious to seewhich ones are missing. Thank you so much for making my view more open ! Subscribed this morning to your website – love that I can learn from you. Love and blessings💝🎆

  • I’ve had scares where I thought I’d lost tarot cards from a deck, but I was usually sitting on it or it was around. One deck I have is missing a few cards, but I never really liked the deck. I like how you looked at your missing cards and felt empowered. Do what feels comfortable. Me, I would probably be over thinking about the missing catd(s) and give a less than reading so I wouldn’t read w/that deck. But I think that’s an insecurity in me. I love your confidence ❤

  • Cool topic! I recently discovered my first ever missing tarot card. It’s The Hermit from my Greenwood deck. I printed this deck myself on Make Playing Cards with the artist, Chesca Potter’s Fair Use images. I’ve had it less than two years and take such good care of it because it’s one of my all time favs and is such a gift to have since it’s out of print and goes for crazy amounts of $$$. It’s so weird to me that this card went missing. Still pondering the deeper meaning of it…

  • “Maybe it went on a sabbatical!”…hahaha! Loved it! Seriously speaking,I really like your approach to the subject!Personally I haven’t lost a card but I think I would struggle to read with the deck, not because I believe it wouldn’t work (I agree that the cards can say the same thing in many different ways!) but because my mind might find it hard to get past the fact that the deck would not be complete and that’s ok! 🙂

  • This is interesting. I recently had a situation where I’d taken my two decks of the month out with me somewhere and was going to read with them, only to pull them out and have a terrible time getting them to function well. Both decks were ones where my daily draws would just jump out of the deck while shuffling, so I found myself sitting for ages and ages shuffling with nothing happening. I think with one I just cut the deck and drew a card, which was fine, and with the other one I did the same thing and it made no sense. I remember thinking that they were “off” and that it felt like all the cards weren’t there, but it didn’t occur to me to check. This went on for a few days. . .until I looked over at my newly established tarot “altar” on my grandmother’s hutch, and low and behold — one card from each of those decks was there. Once I put them back in, the decks seemed to function as they had been with no issue at all. I think this issue is so individual that it’s up to every tarot reader what to do in the case of a missing card. You felt fine reading your deck without that 5 of Pents, and so it WAS fine. Completely. And when there was a new 5 of Pents on offer — voila! Great! No big deal. I think readers should just trust their own instincts in reading with the cards. You know what’s best, and as long as you feel okay about what you’re doing, there’s no problem.

  • Today I’ve realised that 2 cards are missing. Lovers and 9 of Swords. I was very very upset event put the cards back in its box and taped it. Was thinking about buying new cards….anyways after perusal this article I suppose I will still use the cards, hoping that those two will come back….but I still will buy new ones… very sad, but I’m full of hope.

  • I once lost the entire pentacles of my angel tarot deck and a few air cards, once found them in the closet like a year after. I was literally just working with a new whole deck, and was looking for blanks (cards I have trouble relating to) and I realized the 2 and 10 of cups (water) were gone and the 5 and 9 of swords (air)was gone. Life has been crazy lately so curious as to how this will play out.

  • I discovered I was missing The Emperor after deciding I would count the cards in my deck one day. I don’t know exactly how long it had been missing, & it worried me. However, my readings seemed to be good without it, so I quit worrying about it. I finally found it on the floor, tucked away as you found yours, & I returned it to the deck. I haven’t thought about what The Emperor might mean for me, so I’ll think on it…(Oh! LOL! I’ve been QUITE enthralled with our Presidential situation as I’m into politics! Maybe it was a foreshadowing of it all, as I found the card back in the summer (?)) I’m kind of a stickler about new decks…I count the cards immediately upon opening the deck.

  • If it’s a major card I would be so unhappy to use the deck, a court card a little upset, and minor arcana I would be only a little and keep reading. I recently badly bent the edge of my 10 of swords, I trimmed that bent section off and then decided to proceed without it. I feel like it’s my personal card that I am withholding for the good of my quarents, 10 of swords is pretty negative anyway.

  • My tarot deck went missing not just one card I don’t know where it is and I looked everywhere for it and it still missing I don’t know why one of my friends said maybe if your not ready to used the cards they might go away and comeback when your ready idk if that’s true I got my deck a couple days ago so I’m a beginner so I don’t know why it’s missing

  • My first ever card that was drawn in a reading was the reversed devil card I then decided to get my own deck after my first self reading I put all the cards back in the box then I noticed the next time the devil card is missing I still haven’t managed to find the card unfortunately I feel it will come back when the time is right but this was months ago I decided to setup a reading tonight but as I opened my deck I felt this dark energy all over my body so I decided to put the cards away has anyone else had a similar experience to this? I have been having negative thoughts of anxiety hitting me randomly as well these past few months after cleansing my room today I felt a lot of light enter my life 🙂

  • So today I let my cards outside to cleanse because it was sunny, but out of nowhere a big wind flew them. I could find all of them pretty easily except the Ace of Cups. I set my intention to find it though. I heard that this means that the card manifests into my life, which makes sense since I m going through mt twin flame reunion, but still now idk what to do with the deck😂 I thought of creating a new one with a normal playing card or something

  • So i used my tarot deck last night and i live alone and today i had a bad feeling and a dream of missing cards so i decided to see my deck and 23 were missed. And yes i had a thing of one time i missed a card and the energy of that card missing wass so strong that i whenever i was doing a reading i felt something missing. But my 23 just disappeared

  • I just found out a card a missing, I didn’t know it, when I use it tonight, seem like there’s a voice that u should count your card, then it’s very strange. I count them again n again it’s 77 cards, one card is missing. Then I found out it’s king of cups. Then when I count it queen of cups or one of those cups is missing too. But then I count it again. It’s 77 cards, I double checked it’s king of cups. I don’t know what happen with the cups cards? Anyone knows what that means?:)

  • Yesterday I did a reading for my friend over article call and I know I pulled The Fool card. (i pulled 5 cards and none more), after that i collected the cards and i brought them back into the box I keep them 100% safe. And today I pulled out my deck and reordered them AND THE FOOL IS MISSING. I SEARCHED EVERYTHING AND NOTHING. WHAT DO I DO

  • usually it depends on how important and complex is the card… Losing a Hierophant is kinda a big deal, compared to a 10 of Wands. They are both important, but the 10 would get ‘divine intervention’ from the help of other cards to disclaim the missing meaning it should have called upon. But the Hierophant, the complexity would have been harder to explain, or it would make your other cards ask more of you to seek meaning.
