How To Calm The Hyperactive Chakra Of The Solar Plexus?

The solar plexus chakra is located in the navel region and can be balanced through various techniques. Twisting type yoga poses, candle gazing, connecting with the sun, chanting “Ram”, doing some cardio, wearing yellow, eating nourishing foods, and saying “I choose to” instead of “I have to” are some ways to balance this energy center.

Balancing an overactive solar plexus chakra requires cleansing the blocked chakra, which is responsible for compensating for blockage elsewhere. To unblock the solar plexus chakra, address the wound that keeps you in a place of shame and embrace all parts of yourself. Health and well-being experts often emphasize the importance of intentional positive affirmations in balancing the solar plexus chakra.

To balance the solar plexus chakra, follow these steps:

  1. Twisting type yoga poses: Remember the location of the solar plexus is in the navel region.
  2. Candle gazing: Connect with the sun.
  3. Chanting “Ram”: Do some cardio.
  4. Wearing yellow: Eat nourishing foods.
  5. Saying “I choose to” instead of “I have to”: Balance the solar plexus chakra by recognizing the signs and understanding the science behind them.

Holistic remedies such as aromatherapy, sound, crystal, movement, and emotional therapy can help re-establish harmony within the body-mind.

Signs of an underactive solar plexus chakra include feeling the need to boss people around or control them, being aggressive, and quick to anger. Consume yellow colored foods or drink soothing teas associated with it.

To balance the solar plexus chakra, spend time around heat, whisper positive affirmations, wear yellow clothing, and consume yellow foods. Aromatherapy, such as essential oils like lemon, bergamot, rosemary, ginger, and juniper, can also help regulate the solar plexus chakra.

What damages the solar plexus?

Solar plexus pain may be caused by a number of factors, including pulled muscles, which can occur in a variety of settings, including the gym or during daily activities. In some cases, this can result in the development of swelling, redness, or bruising.

What trauma is stored in the solar plexus?

Solar Plexus Chakra traumas are rooted in societal forces that push individuals to the brink of breakdown. These traumas involve abusive and oppressive authorities, environments that suppress individuality, and power dynamics that control societies. These experiences can lead to a sense of powerlessness, unable to control events or shape one’s destiny. Adolescence is often an example of such traumas, as individuals strive to assert their individuality amidst parental, educational, and peer pressures.

Adolescents may have faced abuse, belittlement, or punishment for standing up for their beliefs, leading them to believe that people in positions of power are inherently dangerous. This fear fuels a fear of responsibility and the use of power, even for self-control. Responses to these traumas can manifest in two polar ways: seeking conformity and longing for the embrace of a dominant authority figure, or extreme individuation, isolating themselves from society and resisting healthy influence.

Heart Chakra traumas encompass significant emotional wounds that can profoundly impact individuals, stemming from painful disappointments in relationships, such as abandonment, physical loss, or perceived betrayal. These traumas make it difficult for individuals to release the heartache associated with memories of love and the loss of love, leading to feelings of isolation and vulnerability.

Throat Chakra traumas arise from past experiences where attempts at self-expression led to negative outcomes, such as harsh rejection or mockery of opinions. These traumas often involve elements of social humiliation, powerlessness, pressure, and confrontation with a crowd, resulting in the belief that it is dangerous to express oneself and expose one’s inner world and opinions.

Additionally, writing down dreams and listening to messages can help open up the Third Eye Chakra.

What emotion blocks the solar plexus?

Solar plexus pain, often triggered by emotions like anger, frustration, and anxiety, can cause discomfort in the stomach area. Addressing these emotions through meditation, journaling, or therapy can alleviate the pain. Feeling unusual or experiencing sensations in the solar plexus may indicate an imbalance, possibly due to emotional stress, lifestyle changes, or personal changes. Blockages in the solar plexus chakra can be caused by factors like low self-esteem, fear of rejection, past failures, negative self-talk, and chronic stress. Clearing these blockages through self-care, therapy, and positive affirmations can help restore balance and alleviate pain.

How do I relax my solar plexus?

The pain in the solar plexus may be caused by a number of factors, including digestive issues, anxiety, trauma, and pancreatic cancer. Which chakra holds PTSD?

The Sacral Chakra, linked to creativity and emotions, can be blocked by trauma, causing emotional numbness. Engaging in art, dance, or self-expression can rekindle this chakra’s fire. The Solar Plexus Chakra, our confidence realm, can be diminished by deep wounds and pain points caused by trauma. Practices of self-love, setting healthy boundaries, and empowering activities can reignite this chakra’s inner spark.

The Heart Chakra, governing love and compassion, can be reformed by engaging in connection with others, finding the value of interdependence, practicing gentleness, and engaging in heart-opening practices. These practices can lead to significant relational improvements and healing from trauma.

What may someone with an excessive overactive solar plexus chakra display?

The solar plexus chakra, located in the upper abdomen near the stomach, supports confidence and the second part of the “serenity prayer”. It encourages accepting what cannot be changed and asking for courage to change what can. Overactive solar plexus can lead to aggression, taking too much control, and losing sight of what can be changed. • The reason I looked up this article is because I thought my Solar Plexus was overactive. I have observed my solar plexus throbs at times. Very gently though. Also without any change to my diet or activity routine, I have noted an increase in my stomach acid levels. I am a workoholic but I love what I do and would work without conditional rewards. But I’m glad I don’t fit the bill. I am flexible, accepting of my short comings or mistakes, I love spending time with family. Am pretty calm and patient as well. But thank you for sharing.

  • I have an interesting solar plexus situation… or rather design. My will and can-do spirit is really strong, almost unbreakable and I and never hestitate whenever I have a desire or an idea… I just go for it 😀 My personal style in terms of interests, hobbies, clothes etc. has always been very individual, without me really making any conscious effort for it. I just can’t… not be me, in a way xD but here’s the thing: I am extremely shy of conflicts and find it so difficult to speak my truth when I know it is not going to be recieved well. Everything from “I’m so affraid to hurt the other person” to “omg, I don’t what the other person to get angry at me”. Having a discussion is also very challenging for me. I have my own opinion usually, but I feel so open for all perspectives and very quickly feel that I want to understand other people that I tend to bulldoze my own expression and opinion for the sake of seeing others and keep some kind of harmony…. even though it is not really harmony, since I’m not being harmonious to myself… Working on sharing my truth now, and it really causes me physical discomfort. Self-caring and healthy boundaries are also super important for me to integrate… but its kind of a paradox for me, how my solar plexus can be so strong and yet rather weak. Great article, Vicky ^^ always a a great joy to watch!

  • I always had trouble with my stomach, even ulcers. My stomach gets upset easily and it affects completely my whole body. I feel very tired and like having a flu. I definitely have overactive solar plexus chakra. And lately my heart and sacral chakras are becoming weaker and weaker. This article helped me to see clearly what is happening. Thank you!

  • This is really interesting. My husband has a very overactive root & solar plexus chakra & i have a very weak root & solar plexus chakra. I love this series thank you for sharing all of this info with us. Im looking forward to the next too… I’m overactive in my sacral, heart & throat. You look beautiful in yellow! Gorgeous. Blessings to you.

  • Hi Vickie! I bought your book last year and I’m reading it again now…you ever considered doing an audio version of it? I would love to purchase that as well if you ever decided to! It is such a great book, I bought one for a friend of mine and she’s enjoying it also! I sneak my copy into work and read a little here and there on my down time 😁 thanks for all you do, ✌

  • These articles are very good. I have a blocked root and heart, causing my sacral and solar plexus to be overactive. Which is an odd situation for a man, because although I have an excess of that fire-like masculinity, I have almost no root chakra masculinity, and too much feminine sacral energy (which makes me a bit too childlike and unreliable). Best way I can describe it, is feeling like a man-child.

  • thanks vicki! 🙏 great article💛 i have a quastion: after wathing this article, i feel like i have both weak and overactive solar plexus at the same time. i was sure before wathing that the chakra in a weak state, because i tend to have difficulty with solar plexus characteristics such as doing, get a decision and act on it ect. but some of the signs from the list you gave about overactive chakra- seems to be apply to me to. can you help me please?

  • I feel an anxiety in my solar plexus that radiates up to my heart chakra then i feel heart ache and then it leads up to my throat chakra which leads me blocking my communication..like actual block and stuttering. I was told i have a blocked root chakra though. Any advice on what i can do? I hope you see this i know this article is older but i would appreciate any information. Ive already been to a reiki healer 3 times and a hypnotherapist. I still have anxious energy. Thank you 🙏🌈🌠

  • Speaking of the subconscious mind, habits, programming, something which may help is EFT tapping. Bruce Lipton has spoken about it. It’s easy and free! I like Brad Yates’ articles, he has hundreds on so many different subjects, including finance, relationships, habits, motivation, loving yourself, etc. Please check them out! edit – even articles for health and pain are available

  • Thank you! Love this information! I’m a bit confused because I know my lower chakras are unbalanced and am aware of how my sacral chakra especially is unbalanced and that I tend to betray my feminine energy for masculine yet I seem to be a contradiction – I lead with my heart and intuition and am a feeler (at times controlled by my emotions) but also analytical and can’t sit still. What if our solar plexus seems both overactive (always moving, analytical, ego driven) but also underactive (low confidence, always put others first)? Is this even possible?

  • I have most of these qualities. However I have all of the blocked/weak solar plexus qualities as well. My 3rd chakra is a mess. I’m extreemly fatigued, depressed with no self-esteem and having gut health issues. But I’m am a total control freak and I truly believe my loved ones do everything wrong. I can’t apologize either, even if I sometimes want to. It pains me to be wrong! How can both sides fit me soooo well!?

  • I can see all of the 12 signs in myself, I even have a bone protruding from the solarplexus more than ever before! Im an Aires and I am thankful for your article. A person once told me “take care of your heart” from out of no where…now I can see why. If you have any more advice specifically to balancing my solarplexus chakra I would be much grateful.(its kinda Driving me mad:) Thank you!

  • Please put these in the playlist with the underactive solar plexus. Please add each overactive chakras in the chakra playlist. Some of the myths of chakra was not added to chakra list. Like the Heart was not in the Heart Chakra playlist. Last three chakras oils was not done and not added to their playlist. Please have someone go through and check the chakra articles, because all information is skater all over instead in their playlist. Just a nice head up. 🤗 Thanks.
