What does it mean to ribbon the hair?

Ribbon highlights, also known as hair ribboning, are a sophisticated technique similar to balayage, where ribbons of color are placed throughout the hair to create a multi-dimensional and vibrant appearance. This method takes the concept of highlights to a new level by incorporating broader sections of color, creating a bolder and more striking effect. The technique involves technique and precision, as ribbon highlights employ a more sweeping approach, resembling balayage than traditional foil highlights. This technique can be achieved by using a curling iron to create true ribbons out of the hair.

Where does witches hair grow?

Witch’s Hair, a lichen, is more desiccation-resistant than other lichens and mosses, growing well in upper canopy areas with lower humidity and higher winds. It also thrives on lower branches with enough sunlight. Alectoria, a fungus, is common in wet forests where moisture is abundant from winds from the ocean to the coast. Rain and fog provide water and windborne nutrients for these plants. Witch’s Hair is a lichen, a symbiotic association of a fungus and a green alga.

The alga gives the plant its greenish color and provides carbohydrates through photosynthesis. The fungus provides nutrients and water to the alga, and the thallus of the plant serves as a home for the alga, making it classified as a fungus.

What is the hair tied in ribbon witchcraft?

A witch’s ladder is a practice in folk magic or witchcraft where charms are knotted or braided into cords or hair to create a spell. The number of knots and nature of the charms vary with the intended effect. The first recorded witch ladder was found in an old house in Wellington, Somerset, in 1878. Six brooms, an old armchair, and a rope with feathers were found in a space that separated the roof from the upper room. The brooms had decayed handles, but were replaced to be used.

The chair and rope were stored in a warehouse. The find was published in the Folk-Lore Journal, and local antiquarians, Abraham Colles and E. B. Tylor, investigated the rope’s function. Charles Godfrey Leland discovered that witches in Italy used a similar form called a “witches garland” made of cord and black hen feathers. The malediction was uttered as each knot was tied in and placed under the victim’s bed to cause ill fortune.

What is the common witch’s hair?

Common witch’s hair is a 15-30 cm long hanging hair lichen, pale green and intricately branched. It is found in open forests and is found at all elevations, but is most common from middle to upper elevations. Its coastal range in the Pacific Northwest stretches from Alaska to Oregon, and it is found in North and South America, as well as northern and Central Europe. Similar species include Methuselah’s beard (Usnea longissima), which has a central strand with a central white cord, and Vancouver witch’s hair (Alectoria vancouverensis), which is a greyish-green hanging hair lichen found only at low elevations. These lichens are similar in their appearance and habitat.

Ribbon highlights are a hair lightening technique that involves adding ribbons of color throughout the hair, extending from the roots to the ends in ribbon-like sections. This creates a stunning contrast between a darker base color and lighter strands, creating a beautiful, multi-dimensional look. What is witchy hair?

Witch hair, also known as devil hair or bristle hair, is a thicker and longer hair type that grows below the chin or above the upper lip. It is often found on birthmarks and is considered annoying on the face. The development of witch hair is not yet scientifically understood, but hormonal fluctuations, such as menopause, weight loss, and hormonal contraceptives, can affect its growth. Weight gain and hormonal contraceptives can also disrupt estrogen levels, leading to an excess of testosterone, which can increase facial hair growth. The term “witch hair” is colloquial and likely originated from the description of witches as ugly in fairy tales, who typically have black hair on their prominent chins.

  • Listening to this article, I was remembering how when I went into the Marines, they immediately buzzed off all of our hair. When we got out of the bus from the airport, the first thing they did was to buzz off all of our hair, then immediately begins the process of not acting or thinking on anything that we’re not instructed to do for literally every waking second of our lives. Everyone knows that the purpose of boot camp is to take people from all walks of life and reprogram them to fit a certain mold. “They break you down, and then they build you back up” is what people always say. The correlation is interesting.

  • Wow, what you said about black people cutting their hair hit so deeply. The black community has had allot o toxicity pertaining to hair injected into the culture do to slavery and racism, and it’s beautiful to see people growing out their hair and wearing natural styles. I grew up hating my hair and thinking I needed extensions or relaxers to look “decent”. I wanted to loc my hair but my hair would never stay..and having 4c hair type I couldn’t understand it. Each time, no matter who’s advice I followed my hair would not loc. One night, about 3 something a.m…I will never forget but I was woken up and sent a message to loc my hair NOW! I got out of bed, twisted all my hair then and their and went back to bed. My hair has been loc’d since them going on 3 years now. The universe told me when it was time. Yeah, at first I wanted it for fashion…but I was told to semi free form for a total different reason. And I love and respect my hair and identity more than I ever have.

  • I was a hairstylist for 10 years, and many of my female clients would chop their hair after a failed relationship or significant life event. They would say that they felt literally light headed. This makes so much sense now. Also, I’ve been tending to my hair diligently for the last 2 years, just letting it be. And without even knowing I become more myself each day. This is mind blowing information. Thank you for sharing

  • Very accurate from personal experience. I like to wear my hair down most of the time but when I start to notice negative energies I immediately put it up and notice that my sensitivity to the energy of others is reduced dramatically and I can focus on my own work. Sometimes I would need to excuse myself in the middle of an interaction with a customer to put up my hair because they were so full of negativity.

  • I took acid in 2006 and I could feel my hair like it had a mind of its own, I was filled with infinite information and I had a idea a epiphany that our hair was like bug antennas but we had way more and that it was sad that we didn’t know how to use them. When you said antennas I was floored wow I was really right… this is amazing thank you so very much for sharing this great knowledge we all need to know. ❤

  • I just buzzed my head after growing it for 4 years. My hair had become intertwined with the numerous traumatic events I had endured in that time, and kept me tied to the negativity of the past. I was drowning in the energy of those I had been fighting to let go of, even with constant cleansing rituals. I felt it was time to finally let go of the past and allow my hair to grow with me. This time my hair will be taken care of the correct way as it grows, and I will use this information on my journey forward. Thank you for sharing 🙂

  • I’m Greek but used to live in Egypt for many years and have been going back there on and off for over 30 years now. I noticed that there was a really toxic trend of chemically straightening and “bullying” curly/coily/wavy hair to become poker straight. In the last few years I’ve noticed local girls embracing their natural texture/curls/waves which is beautiful to see. Egyptian girls have lots of different hair types reflecting the multi-ethnic society that lives there now. Hair types range from straight, fine Caucasian hair to frizzy, coily African-like hair. I see everyone now more happy to embrace what nature gave them and it’s beautiful to see 🙂

  • This is true being Native of America. Navajo to be exact. Back in the old days the Natives Long hairs were forced to be cut off and given white names and told not to speak their language. Our elders say the language is one of what is spiritual just as our long hair. So much similarity I heard you talk abt, amazed me and I love your hair. Love and light to u and ur subscribers 🌎💫✨🪴🪐☀️

  • I am Native American (Shoshone-Bannock) and chose to grow my hair out for spiritual purposes 3 years ago and I will never cut it again, prior to that I was always Clean Shaved with a razor blade. The only reason a Native will cut their hair is if they are in mourning and it can only be cut on a full moon for longer and stronger strands, Thank You for your teaching, it was my first time perusal you and all you said resonates deeply with me, as you were teaching I had to pause the article, take out my pony tail and Part my hair Jesus Style, I thank you again for your teaching, I knew some of what you said but also learned a lot too. Our hair is our antennas, if you look at an animals they always will warn you when earthquake or of other things that are about to happen, and dogs know you are coming home before you get there, and they are covered with hair.

  • I love the idea of our hair being this sort of protective spiritual part of ourselves. I had cut my hair last year above my shoulders due to some outside influence and now it’s past my shoulders and almost past my chest. I remember having a shower and holding my hair, looking at it, and I grabbed a thick bunch and kissed my hair and whispered “I’ll try my best to keep good experiences with you,” or some kind of motherly gesture towards it. I feel like our hair holds so many memories and is with us through everything- I like to believe that it’s more than just “hair” but also our strength.

  • I had limited information on this, but heard about a study that tested hunters with long hair vs short, and the ones who’s hair had been shaved off was a less skilled hunter than those who had their hair maintained. The minute you mentioned the reason for the Buddha symbolism my head instantly tingled, especially when you stated that keeping it in a bun maintains your energy. I have always put my hair up in a bun such as this in times of frustration and never realized it may have a purpose behind it. So cool!

  • My whole life I had horrible hair that did not grow. A mix of very curly frizz and dry stuff. As a Cosmotolegist all I could do is keep it short to make it look professional. I started on my Divine Awakening, that’s all I can call it. Three years ago. My hair is now long and soft and curl’s in humidity but is smooth in dry weather. Never thought about it. I do twist it up on my crown and at times the energy is intense. I thank you for your Oracle gift and knowledge.

  • I have Comanche ancestry and for about three years now, I felt a strong pull to leave my hair alone. I stopped coloring and trimming my hair. I also changed my part to the middle from the side. I felt strongly drawn to do this and it was spiritually motivated, as if letting my hair grow longer strengthened my connection to Spirit. My hair has now reached my butt, and still, I let it grow. The idea of even trimming it internally repels me. I read a book called “Empire of the Summer Moon.” It chronicles the rise and fall of the Comanche nation. As I read, I was blown away. They went in depth about the spiritual significance of the hair to the Comanche, who never cut the hair as a way to strengthen their connection to Great Spirit. However, there is one time they would chop just one lock, and that was before they went into battle as a symbolic sacrifice to Great Spirit for protection. This made me realize how powerful the blood song of our Ancestors is. There was an incident where I had to face someone in an aggressive situation that I knew could put me in harm’s way. For some reason, before I went out to face this person, I went into the bathroom, looked in the mirror, grabbed my scissors, and in one fell swoop, lopped off the front of my hair into bangs. I felt a sudden rush of energy and courage. It was the strangest thing and I didn’t know at the time why I did it, but when I read that book and learned of this connection, I knew it was my Ancestors comin’ through! Oh, and I faced that situation with no harm coming to me.

  • This article popped up, I immediately chuckled and dismissed it as ” preposterous attempt at bait clicking”. I’m ashamed of my judgment and discrimination. I scrolled past the article, but as I did that I remembered that I had decided to stop pre judging instead, to take the time to evaluate everything and take what works for me and leave the rest as someone else’s perception. I must say, I feel like I won the lottery! I’ve been muddling my way thru, at each wall or crossroads miraculously there on my path is exactly what I need. I just have to stop the internal reasoning mind and evaluate what is before me. I’m in a very blessed position in life, I’ve cleared out every single thing or person that doesn’t work for who I am and who I am trying to be. I’ve been stuck in the now what moment, YOU have given me a lifeline to continue being the architect of my life. I can clearly see the amazing opportunities of being in this moment of my life, (I can fill it up with what works for me) learning to step into thin air and finding solid ground under my feet has been so freeing and empowering. You echo the things that I rationalize inside myself. Long winded THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! Ive been trying my hand at manifesting ( I entered a second chance drawing for 100,000.00 in the lottery, 05/12/2022 is the draw date, I have two entries and I can’t explain it, but I really do feel like I have already won the top 2 prizes! How crazy is that? Both entries are winners!!!!)

  • I have never heard this before but it makes so much sense! Even in the Bible the story of Samson now totally makes sense why he was so strong and was told to never cut his hair because that was the source of his strength and when Delilah betrayed him and his hair was cut he lost it all. I’ve been growing my hair for over 10 years and that may explain why I’m more spiritually awakened more so now than I have ever been. I guess no more trims for me though! Thank you so much for this information. I’m glad I found your website some way some how. Blessings to you and what you are doing to awaken the masses!

  • You are a God send! I’ve recently been reconnecting to my African indigenous spirituality and I have watched my hair grow wild and extremely quickly. My dreams have been vivid, lucid and full of clear instructions and guidance, my life is changing… This past weekend, I was complaining to my mother about how heavy, full, thick and hot my head feels and that I want to chop it all off, she pleaded with me not to cut my hair off. She said if I did, to plait it and give it to her as she’d like to make a wig out of it. I’ve now watched your article and decided not to cut it off at all, I might consider loc’in it or just plaiting it and leaving it alone with a mid part. You’re a God send, thank you, thank you, thank you.

  • I was suffering and not close to God and he told me to change my life I need to cut my hair. I hesitated, but he kept insisting. I finally listened in the middle of the night one night and chopped off my hair. That night when I slept I had a prophetic and spiritual dream. I have had many more since that night. My intuition has heightened much more since then. I feel that was the start of a symbolic clean slate and God/Spirit has been building me up since then.

  • This is my new favorite website. I’m a chosen one, I know this because when I was 11 a spaceship came to me and drove along side of my car for a long time in the blind spot so my mom could not see. They taught me telepathy right then. I asked them why I have the skin color that I have this lifetime and they said so that I could align perfectly with my mission. That was the latest thing they told me a couple days ago. Do you have a Facebook you can give me because I like to be friends with people like you.

  • About 3 years ago, I finally grew my hair out and got rid of my fringe by parting my hair equally. I did it for spiritual reasons, like you said about the third eye. It seemed to randomly come across my mind at the time, but now I’m reconsidering that moment as an intuitive call or message to just let my hair flow freely and hang loose. It was also a time of growth as I was always self-conscious about my hair – my closest friends always joked about it, making me feel a little uncomfortable. Initially after parting my hair, some people called my hair “curtains”, but then they stopped. I’ve been spiritual for as long as I can remember and altho I wasn’t exactly conscious of it, I was always guided, as I am now. This article is basically confirmation that I’m indeed spiritually gifted. So thank you.

  • Bro .. I’ve had my hair long majority of my life It’s always been my preference 🙂 but every time I allowed negative outcome energies to get at me because I didn’t have the knowledge I do now realizing I was giving my power away then, I cut it off and seeing & hearing your message of divine wisdom about this gives me a WOW moment.🤯🧬🙏💯 You see I make music and when my hair is long I’m in a flow state which I believe was websiteing because a lot of my song subjects is about awakening subjects and I didn’t know that when I made the songs at the time, However my point is that every time I cut my hair I couldn’t think straight And I was what most artists call a artist crisis having creative blocks as well as high anxiety depression etc… So yes now it all makes sense! Thank You! Love & Light my friend & Namaste 🙏

  • Great article! Thank you. I’ve had extra long hair all my life. More than once hairstylists chop off more than the ends by ‘mistake’ according to them. They traumatized me! I cried over it so many times, felt like if they cut my arm. Nowadays I cut it myself! Teached myself to cut it, the ends, trim it and layers thanks to YouTube lol! Check out the ‘Unicorn ponytail cut’ or the wolf cut for example, so easy! I made it a ritual, to cut it on full moon🌙 To have natural hair, to cut it yourself is so empowering! 💙

  • This article is definitely a confirmation I grew my hair out for first time in my life when the very beginning of the reset / plandemic happened,I was contemplating for months before this all started my intuition was telling me so I wrestled for awhile then I asked myself what could I do Spiritually to honor my ancestors & I decided to Grow out my hair, fast fwd Til now my hair is long as it’s ever been, I’ve noticed certain white folk at my job are intimidated by it & treat me differently which I actually love it reveals peoples truest feelings I feel strength spiritually & I experience a ton of freedom in my soul from this it’s been bout 3 yrs now And I dnt plan on cutting & even if I did I would grow it back, I feel my ancestors are proud cause I acted on my intuition and listened

  • This relates a lot for me! 3 years ago I was sick and had chemotherapy. I had very long hair and lost it all when I was sick. I stopped dreaming and lost a lot of energy. When my hair started growing again and it was long enough, I always had this instinct to put it in a top knot on my head either half up or fully up. I can’t believe the intuitive reaction that my spirit has to keep the energy in my body. I am wearing my hair in a top knot right now and do most days, right over the crown. Before I got sick I always wore my long hair over my right shoulder, and strangely enough, I had left breast cancer. I can’t believe the significance of keeping your hair equally on each side! Now my hair is past my shoulders again and it’s starting to have significant impact on my intuition and dreaming! 🙏🏼 I am also happy to hear about dreading, I am going to make a few hair wraps and lock some intentions in soon. Thank you for sharing!

  • You just spoke volumes and depth. I had been called to keep my hair and for 5 years I did not touch my hair. It grew like the Vikings and it became very long and very full and everyone was commenting to me that hair, what amount of hair, and even unto jealous family and friends? Now I see why thru your words, the much deeper reasoning and purpose as to my higher concsence telling, no, prompting me to STOP cutting my hair. I have in to peer pressure and comments and then cut my hair and as a result my life and my intellect and my connection which had dev3loped significantly over the 5 years immediately decined. Thank you for your wisdom and explanation as to why I feel literally, half the man, I used to be.

  • I was doing intense meditation and attained samadhi. And my view of my hair changed and started not cutting it on the normal regular dates. And felt my hair is a very important part of me. I recalled how in my youth the days after a haircut were always the most unstable ones, and I tend to lose things/ fall sick/ get issues with my girlfriend after these days. It just made me more unstable. And until now I am deep afraid of days following my hair cut. I would even compensate it by more prayers and meditation. But when I kept my hair long my mother would insist by all ways that i cut it. Later I learnt she was manipulated by some djihadists against her sons and family and wanted to murder each one of us. So by all means she did not want my hair to stay long. She actually did many things against us including trying to put all property under sole ownership, and insisting on me not having long hair was part of that.

  • Dhieyo – great knowledge, thank you for sharing. Truth: in a past life I was born a shaman. I was born with pure white hair and had it all my life. The indigenous Native Americans held white Buffalo, white horses, white owls, etc…in highest spirit regards. Hence, when I was born into this past life as an indigenous in the americas with white hair, I was born into a shaman. In this life, when I was born, the nurses freaked my mom out for the first couple days. Because my hair was white!! Later of course it turned blonde. But I never correlated the knowing, until my past life as a shaman caught up to me….in this life as a shaman. Benevolent Blessings!!

  • 6:57 lol the moment he ties his hair like Buddha the article becomes super high contrast and he becomes illuminated. Great article. From a different perspective, some of us wear our hair a certain style to express the energies or qualities of our birth nakshatras. We sometimes think it’s fashion, like getting certain tattoos or wearing certain styles, but actually we are just aligning with our soul chart’s expressions.

  • I am a blissful devotee of Lord Shiva! Just wanted to express my appreciation for the sacred knowledge you share! Your vibration is great and I very much enjoyed learning such simple yet vitally important concept! Please keep making articles and share more of your knowledge, if it feels right for you and if it makes you happy! I strongly believe that if one does things that do not feel right or that do not come from an inner drive and desire, even if you try to do a good thing, if it makes you in any way uncomfortable or if it doesn’t vibe right, it ends up having the wrong result and it is taxing on you. So most of all do what feels right and if sharing more with us is on the menu- I can’t wait! Namaste! Jay Shiv Shankar! Jay Ma Parvati! Aum Ardhanishwarae Namaha!

  • Namaste Dhieyo. ♥️ This article came up as ‘recommended. Most appropriate for me too, as I travel my own Spiritual Journey. When my Husband died in August 2020, I simply pulled my hair back and chopped it all off. It was a form of self mutilation I feel. Since then, I have only ever trimmed my fringe but my hair does not seem to want to grow and become healthy. So, my third eye is currently covered and I intend to cease doing that after listening to you. I will also keep a middle parting, I absolutely loved listening to your calm, knowledgable Self and am keen to learn more. Thank you so much Dhieyo. ♥️

  • Really enjoyed all the information you shared. As a child my mom always chopped my hair off. I always had short hair and always felt lost and weak. Always was bullied. I’m going to start growing my hair long. Thanks so much. I just discovered your website and I’m going to enjoy perusal your articles🌟💖🌟💖🌟

  • It’s a very interesting talk on hair. But I beg to differ at some points. 1. Buddha’s tied hair on top of the head represents opening of his crown chakra. 2. We do NOT go to temple to only talk about our sorrows, but to pay our gratitude and thanks for this gift of life for this opportunity to work on ourselves. 3. Not all gurus tell their disciples to go bald. 4. I have known of at least one person who was bald n Enlightened.

  • Thank you so much!! I find calling it a crown when I talk to myself about my hair really helps in remembering what you’ve said it attaches the holiness to your hair so instead of just calling it hair when taking care of it you call it a crown realizing that it is divine and called thus. I literally went from an American lifestyle of hair care which is evidently destroying it to the Indian oiling method and water only and it has worked miracles. So happy I found your article god bless

  • Yes, since I started my Spiritual Sadhu path I have grown my hair for two and a half years. Last night I dreamed I started a new job and then I cut my hair to fit in, I immediately felt a deep regret, it woke me up. I have always noticed a huge change in my perception and personality when Ive cut my hair, I dont think I ever will.. 💁

  • Omg looking back at my life when I was in the military, then working armed security I always had to have short hair when a possibility of violence existed. But when I grew out my locks I became so much more peaceful and loving. My spirituality is so prevalent in my everyday life, wich before I had none. So what he is saying really resonates with me. Absolutely incredible

  • Thank you so much for explaining dreadlocks. I have very long dreadlocks because I never felt comfortable cutting them. I never knew the reason. They are now at my hips. I am very spiritual and can tune into things that other people seem oblivious to. I also have an independent spirit and I think for myself about situations and follow my intuitions. I have encountered many people who get upset with me because I don’t follow them. I never thought that my hair could have anything to do with that!

  • A very unique and informative perception. You are truly enlightened soul the KALYUGI needs. Cuz your way of explaining things makes so much sense and it flows like water into our heads. So seamlessly and effortlessly. I wonder why I did’nt come across your website uptil now. BTW I live in the same city😊 Note: I am facing a lot of hairfall and it really hurts me. I now shampoo my hair once in a week to avoid any hairloss and hence tie them most of the time leaving them lose only at bedtime.

  • Interesting that I stumbled on this article. When my spiritual awakening started in 2018 I decided to let my hair grow out from my shoulders length (now it is down to my hips) and also felt compelled to do the parting of the hair in the middle, which I had always felt it was uncomfortable to see me with that style, but all of the sudden, I wanted to do that and loving it. Most definitely feel that my intuition and understanding of Astrology and metaphysics increased tremendously. It all makes sense now! 🙏🏼 Blessings!

  • Amazing! I have always been attracted and all about hair ever since I was a child. Everywhere I would go, I was always reminded of my voluminous big curly hair. I had to learn to take care of them on my own since I grew without a mother. I also had to learn to say “no” and keep strangers hands away from my crown. Finally being able to put meaning behind some of my struggles and different hair phase made my day! Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge! xx

  • I have learned that my hair loves braids( AA). The less I do to it, the happier it is! So I’ve been keeping my hair in braids for some time, then, when I wear my natural hair out, I’ve only worn these three styles. It’s growing like crazy now. Wow, feeling super connected! So happy to have found you. ☺️

  • This found me at the perfect time. I had been shaving my head for months bc my hair was falling out due to health issues. Now I want to grow it out and I have been since December and as it grows I can feel myself growing as well. I haven’t had long hair since I was assaulted in 2016 and I think I have truama tied in with my hair. Blessed to have been given this insight and it makes me feel even stronger about my decision to grow it out thank you friend 💚

  • Great article, thank you! My second son was SO incredibly averse to haircuts as a small child, we’d kept it long for about 2 years before cutting his blond ringlets at home, I saved & still have the ponytail! Every trip to the salon after that was pure torture for the poor guy, it was like it physically hurt him to have it cut. Looking back I wish I’d left it alone.

  • I was thinking from a long time why we should not cut our hairs all of gurus said that grow your hair don’t cut them but now i got the reason behind it thanks a lot sir of giving this knowledge 👍 From a long time try to grow my hair but i cut them because i don’t have a valid reason but now I’ll make sure that i grow up my hair

  • I have super long hair and I see them as my “wings” my big hair helps me make my aura bigger and therefor my energy gets shared more. Thats how I see/feel it. Thank you for this amazing article! Very interesting 🙏🏼🧡 Real eye opener, funny how I felt this (I do my hair with a middle part. Now I need that bun ☺️ at work I wear a bun. Saving my energy).

  • Back again to share my experience. Your articles sure do find me at exactly the right time, you were right about that. I had a chance to test this a bit, and I’m so grateful. I went to give my niece comfort last night during a very trying time, but first showered and tied my hair up solely to protect both of us from each other’s negative energies, and immediately upon entering her home the entire energy changed. Her grief had gone from unbearable to acknowledged. Her hair remained loose, so I believe she was more receptive to the healing energies of comfort. I cannot thank you enough. 🙏

  • Also this is what I have experienced I am fond of long hair but recently as u said fashion has taken over, evn i have wanted to cut them short and stylish but ugh my stylist neber allowed me to as she has an opinion that such long hair are rare to find these days and it’s a blessing indeed Now i understand probably it’s the spirit itself which is helping me keep these long strands to acquire the knowledge 👍 🙏 I am so glad and grateful that you did this article Love you loads ❤️😀

  • I am 43 years old my dad has the closest hair to me and my family but again nothing like what I experience I woke up one day and I had legitimately dreadlocks in my extremely thick French canadien hair . I am the only person in my family to have had a spiritual awakening also there can be no other explanation I have searched high and low hairdressers refuse me when I sat in the chair and I actually lost my job over the look of my hair. Since then I have become so much stronger in my spiritual awakening I just had no idea at the time

  • Oddly haha, this article has inspired me to finally seek a partner from hearing you speak about the sacredness of hair. Thank you. It’s also inspiring me to let my son’s hair grow out. A part of me felt joy allowing him to have a surfer length hair. We started cutting his hair short about 18 months ago and it always made me feel a little sad.

  • Facts, I know what your saying first hand is true! When my hair was long and down to my shoukderd, my psychic perception was much more enchanced. When I cut it, my perception withered, still am psychic but not as psychic as I was! Now growing it back, takes time but its worth it! Your 100% right dude, an any one who argues with this man, I know first hand this to be fact! From experience, love and light!

  • Amazing I am so intrigued by this! For one I never knew what the spiral hair accutriments were for, this makes total sense. Also reminds me of African women who wear thier hair in a bun on the top of thier head and a bit towards the front. Here’s something interesting to me. Since I became sick with chronic fatigue, maybe 2 or 3 years ago it started, I have been wearing my hair in a bun. I dont think about it I just do. I have also been awakened in that time and wonder since I have become more weak and fatigued have I been called to put my hair in a bun to try to conserve energy, without realizing it. (Note I saw a blue flash of light in the corner of my eye as I said that so take it as confirmation). Thank you!!

  • This is just pure and simple ecstasy. I had been having troubles with hair loss and now since I’ve started doing Ayurvedic remedies on my hair, it has become progressively healthier and longer. And this article is just a bestowal of blessing. Thankyou for putting my faith into my hair and giving me the drive to take care of it even more.

  • It was the same with Native American Windtalkers during the war. They could transmit messages and receive different supernatural insights. When they joined the ranks, their superiors ordered military buzz cuts for the Windtalkers, but when they’ve got their haircuts, their abilities diminished, until they grew their hair back.

  • I had a very long hair(my hairs were till my stomach) then cut my hair too short for fashion. The times when I had a long hair was in my 15 and 16teens, then I was doing yoga everyday without miss and my life was so disciplined. But after going to college in my 2nd year I just cut my hair very short( to my neck length). Now I look back all the bad things started happening after cutting my hair. I was victim of silent bullying. I always felt people arround me were jealous of me and no one helped me whatever the case was. Up until last year I have been cutting my hair as it grows. But after graduation I (that’s last year july) I disappeared from that clg group. I intentionally avoided them everywhere, everytime. And from December I have let my hair down and even from side parting my hair I have changed to middle parting. Now it’s really easy to do yoga everyday unlike it was in my college days. It’s like everything makes sense now. My hairs, my habits, even my circle.

  • It’s interesting, I did cut off all my hair, shaved my head when I left home at 19. And my religion changed round the same time, everything in my life changed, ideology. Everything. It’s very interesting hearing what you say about it removing all connection. Leaving one weak. I’m both glad I did it and concerned. I don’t want the connection I had as a kid, raised christian and it wasn’t good for me. So I’m glad I left it behind, but I then got indoctrinated into other ideologies I’m just getting out of. So.. it was part of my experience but … still. In hindsight I don’t think I’m going to cut my hair again. I’ve been covering my head when going out for the past 6 years. I have a lot of hats now. I have the same beliefs about hair as you do, learned them from the kemetic community actually. I also stopped cutting it, believing as you do it’s a spiritual antennae. I’ve dyed it a few times but even that isn’t something I’ve kept up with, I used to dye it a lot, and got burned out on doing it. I did keep it in twin braids for the past few years. I tried victorian hair taping methods for a while, where you used a ribbon to tie up the hair in a single braid, no elastic. I’ve gotten bored and left it alone now, but I do miss braiding it still. I dislike being around people with my head uncovered though. I refuse to do it. I feel that should be saved for close family and friends, lovers. No one else though.

  • I’m around 18 months for growing hair and beard. By far the longest I have ever went. I’m still exploring how I feel about it. Every couple of weeks I have to fight the urge to cut it all off as my mind keeps reminding me of how I have kept my hair short my whole life. In my gut it feels like I’m not cutting because I’m holding out for something, but I don’t know what that is. I’m 38 and all of my hair is silver, so it’s not typical to see someone my age with all silver hair and a silver beard, which in a way makes me feel insecure in some sense. Anyways, thanks for sharing some interesting thoughts about long hair.

  • Thank you so much for this article, I was drawn to it. I have long, beautiful magical hair. Details are complicated but what I can say is that, I have been locked up alone in my house for over a year, dealing with anxiety attacks and mental breakdowns, but I found myself. I realize I became antisocial (even though I am an active musician) because I cannot stand people’s energy. This is my last life on earth, so perception is at is fullest, I am just learning about the third eye and the magic of hair. I usually wear bangs and cover my eyes, you helped me realize I do it because it makes my perception weaker and helps not to see or feel, what is not my business. Great knowledge just learned. Thank you! Sending you great energy ❤ btw I always cut my own hair, feels correct.

  • It’s SO true that when you’re ready to learn and grow, the teacher or information will show up! I recently started my hair locs so I could have a connection to Source. As a black woman I’ve always loved my hair because it was versatile, but I didn’t think there was a spiritual connection to it. Now that I’m “aware,” I understand why it defies gravity and that it is an antenna. Thanks sir for the confirmation. Namaste.

  • I recently felt completely compelled to shave the side of my head. My hair was waist long. So I shaved the left side of my head but now that I’ve watched this article I wonder why I felt the need to do that. I have a very huge cyst on that side on my abdomen so so you think that could have something to do with cutting off the negative energies that caused the cyst?

  • I never had a connection to my hair until after I shaved it all off for 2 years, then grew my locs.. They grow so quickly! I’ve intuitively tied a scarf on my head and tucked all my hair away bc I did not want to share nor receive energy/ attention to the outside world. And I always wanna let my hair out of my buns when I’m having a great time, or want to feel free. The feelings have no association with my appearance, either. Pure feelings. It’s really interesting. Thanks for this article.. The part about being given a loc from your elder/ guru once they pass on, is a mindblowing concept. It’s absolutely beautiful. I immediately felt the presence of whoever my elder/ teacher is ( I don’t know If we’ve met yet, tho) and felt a pressing sensation in the crown of my head. Brought an innocent and genuine smile to my face <3

  • thank you for your amazing articles 🎈 I have a question, I read a lot about the importance of long hair, but the strange thing and what I went through personally was that I went through the spiritual awakening and the Kundalini experience when I shaved my head and still every time I cut my hair, I feel beautiful and fresh, unlike when it’s long!!

  • Actually shaving your head can be very benefitial. If you worse time in your life, struggled with deppresion and heavy emotions when you shave it in ritual way you can leave things of your mind and energy that is no longer serving you. Buddhist monks also do that cleaning frequently that is why it is easier for them to do what they do. This is also practical sometimes in material perspective as we know :p Still i really long hair and what you said about them i agree with and this is a way of someone who grows spiritualy by themselfs that is way yogis do this. Thank you for your content brother, Namaste <3

  • Hi Dhieyo, this was enlightening. Thank you so much for sharing this information. I have always had long hair. Tried all three ways of tying and letting our hair loose. There is one more very important way to tie our hair into a braid I feel calm and composed and wiser when I do that somehow. What are you thoughts about braiding your hair You have beautiful hair btw

  • My mother told me that I’d always cry during haircuts When I was young. I don’t recall it much, but the sorrowful mood was always finished soon after leaving the barbers. She said I had never any reason or complaints as children tend to while whining. However, the moment I grew to adulthood, style never factored into my life and the hair slowly amassed in thick salt/pepper curls. From the time my heart had finally received peace from our wonderful Heavenly Father, decades of searching for why I was seeking culminated into a blissful appreciation towards the gift of life. My hair is one facet of the vessel God blessed me with and he did a job too masterful to alter. I do not deserve the health and capability granted by my vessel, yet Without ever experiencing supernatural aspects of hair myself, I can say without a doubt that Every piece of what we are graced to temporarily hold in life deserves preservation.

  • In the older days, and in current day in veda pathshalas, the brahmins( intellectuals of the society, pls don’t get into casteism here) used to have long hair and would tie it up in a bun. Or they would have a shikha which is just a piece of hair on the top chakra and that would be knotted too(like Chankya),they would do that so that they focus the energy and restore all the knowledge into their head/ brain and can store and recite the vedas better.. I would look into our ancient culture to learn and understand the importance of these things..our culture has everything, there is nothing that’s not covered in Hinduism..🙏🏼 thanks for making articles on these topics, these are all things we are forgetting nowadays, my grandmother used to scold me to tie up my hair and not let it loose, but I never listened, now I know .. 😬

  • Hi Dhieyo, since you mentioned it; so what to do with hair that sheds while brushing/combing please? During my growing years; my mum used to make sure that we picked each strand of hair off the floor (which fell during combing) and clean our hairbrushes and combs. She believes no one should walk/step on our hair. So how would you suggest disposing this hair please? Cheers. Many thanks 🙏🏽 😘😘😘

  • I have to ask…I had a rebellious moment and cut my hair to just above my shoulders. I was at my wits end with an awful, long situation. Since doing so, I have been on this incredible spiritual journey, and didn’t even realize it until more recent weeks. I can’t remember exactly when I cut it, but sometime in mid to late summer. My intention was so that i could work without being hindered, even though i know how to tie it back. Is it possible that I have cut the negative spiritual ties unwittingly and am now free to work on myself unhindered? It does suck that it takes 3 years to grow back, but if it only improves from here, it’s been really strong.

  • Wow that’s magnificent information. I’m spiritual men and I always have long hair Im also hair stylist. I’m a historian And every where in ancient history people had long hair, but I never hear anyone to explain In this simple beautiful way God bless you and keep bringing The wisdom. Humanity needs it more then ever 🙏🙏

  • Wow, this is so interesting and makes sense too. I like how you apply old knowledge to modern life. Although I am distraught now!!! I always had long hair and loved it and now I understand the value of it too, but I am entering Menopause and my hair is falling out big time. Any thoughts or tips for that? And I am curious, aren’t we supposed to come into knowledge with age ? How does it work with those that go bald or Moncks that shave their hair and ethnic groups that have genetically short curly hair, like bushmen? I guess they were grounded and in tune with nature then…

  • Brilliant. I have been pondering this the last few years. I started growing my hair…but cut it off very short after 18 months. Now, it has been growing again (six months). Definitely feel a difference mentally. I also wore it in a bun ontop. Thanks for explaining why. I love your articles. Always thought provoking.

  • Thanks for this article and sharing the benefits of having long hair. Now in todays world people look at having long hair like it’s something foreign or weird. Some people consider it dirty/messy. If people knew the benefits amd and powers of having long hair they wouldn’t cut it. Im 9 months in without cutting my hair. I intend to keep on growing it

  • Wow it is completely knowledgeable 🌟🌟🌟🌟 I am glad that I come to click it one thing is for sure your purpose is for sure for the betterment of people or society. It is full of spirtual world and I am thankful that I am that grateful that I am blessed that my intution guides me so beautifully that it awares me about the things before its about to happen but the sad part is that it always comes like I have to use my brain to understand but I got it only when it use to happen. Is there any mudra with the help we can get it more clearly.. apart thank u so much Daniel u r such a great mentor & guide 🌟🌟🌟 god bless u more & more…

  • I had long hair before pandemic and I’m in my early twenties. I always thought…oh well I need to get stylish, this hair is so long, I gotta cut it and style it but my south asian parents were always making me feel guilty for wanting short hair. 😂 Then I decided to donate my hair on 2020 March, pandemic hit, I was slowly sliding towards depression, ended up severely depressed and finally let the hair grow since 2021. And that was when my spiritual awakening happened. Somehow here I am diving my hair into two parts and before pandemic I liked my hair on tight ponytails without parting. Damn. Now I see a connection I had no clue of. Wonderful message. Thank you so much for sharing with us.

  • The first time I was told, to cut my hair or not come home, I was given the coin for the cut . All of my Hair was ordered taken off – it was white, & I was 9 . When it grew back, it was dark and only with much time in the sun, did it go white for just one season – my skin went to near black, and emitted light – a string singlet, on its own was white, under a white shirt, it stood out, against the skin colour . Once my ’employment’ stopped, my hair was grown, as I wanted to see how long it could get . Since then, it’s been cut to the same cut as first, to support 2 freinds who had cancer . It has not been cut since, and all collected hair is put out into nature, for further use to be made of it . It’s always worn atop the skull, the crown chakra is noticeable, this sense of the chakra, can get the area affected, to cover a wider area, which at present is needed, due to incoming knowledge of murders in east Ukraine, by paramilitary groups which are not Russian . Namaste 🙏❤️👍👌

  • Thank you for sharing. I’ve always wanted to try a short hair cut but something within me just won’t let me do it, now I know why. My hair has always been long all of my life, I’ve always trimmed it myself & would never trust anyone in my hair, besides my parents. I’m highly intuitive and always have been all my life, thanks to my long beautiful thick hair☺️💕

  • When I shaved my hair I couldn’t stand how it felt. I only kept the style for a couple of months until I grew it back out. I’ve also noticed people react to me differently when my hair is down. They’re like amazed by my hair and I asked my mom if she felt people treat her with more respect when her hair is long and natural. She said Native American had a hard time tracking after white people cut their hair. And that’s how I learned how special our hair is. And I’m really happy I came across this article. Its a nice reminder. Thank you

  • I am puzzled about this. I heard about it years ago. But I love going to the hairdresser and get my hair as short as possible and coloured. I love the sound of the razor. So chilling. After this I feel beautiful and newborn and very happy. I even shaved my hair completely bald years ago and thus fulfilled a longtime dream. After a haircut I change completely. I am full of self confidence and dare to get eye contact to other people.

  • I’m freeforming my hair atm and it feels so powerful I’v had dreadlocks in the past but freeforms feels so different I never realise how powerful hair is til I shaved it grew it for a year after I got a cut to fix it I cried for a week it didn’t look bad but I felt I lost my power til I freeformed it felt like I got my power back I’m planning to grow it Rastafarian style – hair is really powerful I learned this the hard way ( not only how people treat you but it’s a amazing spiritual antennas that can also make you feel protected)

  • Dhieyo, thank you so much- now I understand why my dominant dather always wanted me to cut my hair! He always told me “long hair, short brain” but I never gave up my long hair even now during my Cemotherapy I made the experience that lots of hair fell but there are still enough – so i keep them and care for them. Also in the modern medicine they tell you to cut it off, but I did not ! So I am walking my way with lots of alternative medicine, meditation and Mudras beside the medical stuff. And people ( including myself wonder how fast I am recovering)

  • I’ve been growing my hair out for around 2 years now. I had hoped it would allow me to feel more connected, or rather less alienated from this world (not just the people). Like most big changes in my life, it hasn’t really changed anything, I just encounter the same repeating cycles over and over, and while I’m glad others seem to be having tolerable experiences here, mine just continues to make me bitter. I feel like I just need to accept that bitterness is the flavor of experience I’m in for.

  • Wow! I feel so good with a bun on top of my head. This started maybe 7 years ago or so. I wear it in a ponytail when I go to work as a nurse, just cuz I think it looks better. As soon as I leave the hospital it goes right back in a bun. It just feels so good. This article explains so much. Now I’m thinking about saying, whatever, and wearing it in a bun ALL of the time!

  • Learned a lot with this article. I tell people this all the time and they just look at me dumbfounded. About power in your hair. I read a story about native Americans being trained in Military tactics. They were brilliant always knew where enemy was and when to do things. Finally when the US military put them in the field they cut their hair. Then they became completely changed paralyzed in fear and didnt know where the enemy was even if around the corner. I will start burying my hair when I trim.

  • Wow that’s fascinating. I’ve intuitively worn my hair in a top knot outside for years. I never knew why.. I’m a very very sensitive empathic person and hate being around other people’s energy. No wonder I put my hair up like that. What should I do with hair that comes out when I brush my hair? I can’t just throw it out or put it in the toilet like some people do.

  • Dhieyo, for many years I grow hair to reach length where I can wear it up or such yet no matter what I do with it, strands loosen, tickle &: torment my face and head to the point of utter frustration! Even in my younger youth, movies had a gal in convertible, scarf on yet hair every which way & I’d think, ” HOW the heck is that tolerable???” Years ago I even buzz shaved it & have photo evidence of that. Prior to preparing for lawn mowing, I sprayed pinned and covered yet some snuck out anyway. I asked my daughter the one with cosmetology license where the buzzer was. OY! Does shorter hair diminish the antenna effect? If I don’t shorten it I’ll resort to GLUING it! ✂️ ✂️✂️✂️✂️✂️✂️✂️✂️✂️✂️✂️✂️

  • I’m learning sooooo much about this beautiful spiritual realm we live in brother… I’m growing my hair out now for the first time ever I’m 33 let’s see how long I can get it it grows so fast I thought it would slow down as I got older but maybe it’s cause I’m ment to have it long that you for the article

  • Great article friend. I have been growing my hair for the better part of 5 years now, it looks a lot like yours. I will take the advice of tying it up before leaving the house. Buddha had long hair, but his modern day followers have buzz cuts. Jesus also had long hair, but in most catholic institutions, they cut your hair short, and monks even have the part over their crown chakra shaved. Organized religion leads us astray and blinds us to the spiritual, the truth is within our own hearts, the search must be done within. Thank you for posting this.

  • I have long hip length ginger hair, really hoping to grow it longer too. My hair has always been incredibly important to me, I’ve always wanted it long and have had a lot of hate over the colour of it, which only makes me love it more. I absolutely love seeing people with long hair. From the perspective of optimal hair health, especially for women, hair is best protected/braided at night.

  • I was just realizing this the other day. Not all but some. I took a baking soda bath and had my head submerged over forty minutes. Next to wash. But…I couldn’t seem to get all the grime out no matter how much I lathered and rinsed. So I used sunlight dish soap.. And voila. Came so squeeky clean… And I exclaimed, omg I finally got my antennae clean!! After that bath I was so joyfull!! All night long. I thought it was the bath… And a couple days later came across your article. Now what about a tiny trim… Then you put your trims in the river or bury right? Namaste

  • I used to have real dreadlocks..an one used to stick up… An people would comment, an I would just say “yer, it’s my antenna” … Actually not thinking much more about it… Great article.. I today have a wierd relationship with my hair love/hate .. I now wear braided dreads, an I suddenly have urges where I need to take them out…

  • Good stuff brother, 12 year’s growth and about 9 since it’s last trim, I respect and cherish my antennae and it’s intrigant role in the development of intuition, higher connection and inner development, even more then ever now, the last two years have proven to me how important that inner development is as individuals and as a collective. The lack doesn’t look so pretty does it, but we’re all on individual journey’s, some will choose to go deeper into a materialistic obsessed reality in an illusion of freedom while others will continue to wake, grow, see and connect..

  • I opened YouTube to find a article to listen to while I blow dried my hair and yours was top of the list lol. I like how you related this knowledge to the different major religious and cultural practices. You answered so many questions but I have so many more. What about color? Is it significant? What about going gray? Is it harmful to apply heat styling, as I have just done? What about dying our hair with chemicals? Or applying hair products? Thank you.

  • There’s a patch of hair of mine that, even on good days when I’ve washed my hair, oiled it, shake it dry in the sun, this patch is still frizzy and has weak curls. It can’t hold shape. This is the part of my head when I get very bad migraines. Same thing with my feet. My entire left side consists of injuries and only my left foot experiences athletes foot, extra calluses, dryness, while my right foot never comes close to half as bad. Everything that grows on us is connected. Every inch.

  • I always tend to have long hair, and 2 years ago I cut a big part and kept it, when I touched it I felt so so much beautiful energy… and I felt like I shouln’t have cut it. Ever since I decided to keep it as long as I can. And I just let it be because I realized I can’t control it as I want. It always goes in a middle parting, or a high bun. And of course brushing it is one of the most inportant things I do, and I always encourage people to brush their hair with love and patience, makes a huge difference.
