How To Create Sigil Witchcraft On Your Own?

Creating a sigil involves defining your intentions, which are the core of the sigil. There is no single, definitive method for designing a sigil, but any method that allows you to condense an intention into an abstract symbol can be used. The first step is to identify why you want to make a sigil and figure out the energy you want to harness.

Sigils are meant to be visual representations of your desires, so the first step is to clearly define what you want to achieve. This intention should be specific and specific. Making sigils is the most straightforward form of magick, but one must know how to do it before calling it a piece of cake. Wiccan sigils serve as visual representations of your desires.

The term sigil derives from the Latin sigillum, meaning “seal”, and is the root of the word “witch”. Sigils are a powerful way of manifesting goals or significant change in your life, and have been used by witches and occultists for centuries.

There is no “right” way to make a sigil, and there are no wrong ways. Instead, create your own sigil using minimal skill and physical tools. Sigil magic is a rich and versatile tradition, and there is no “right” way to make a sigil. • The first, Witches Wheel, is more for me right now as I’m such a perfectionist with my creativity taking 2nd wheel (meaning behind). The first is precise for me, but I feel the 3rd way speakes to my creative nature. I’ll have to work on that as said, my need for perfection sometimes interferes with my desire for flare! For some reason, the 2nd way just felt too complicated for me, I even began to feel frustration as you were working it. But I made notes on it anyway, I sometimes feel the need for a good challenge 🙂 Thank you, Blessed be 💫☮💜

  • I have used all those methods but also one you did not talk about. I have used Numer squares for sun, moon, and the respective planets based on my intention. You draw it like you would on the wheel but after you cross out all the vowels and extra letters you make those into numbers using the basic Letters to numbers numerology method. It’s a really nice way to draw on the cosmos and astrological energy for your sigil. I recommend it to everyone who loves sigil making.

  • I really like the numbered wheel for sigil creation. Ive always used the letter method and the process and final sigil for what ever reason always nagged at me. I always felt like my mind could remember the intention of the sigil at a glance with that method. I feel the overall aesthetic of the sigil is much more pleasing the process is much more fluid and with the number wheel i feel my mind can much more easily release the intention. thanks you for sharing.

  • As an artist I find the third method way more liberating and creative I love combining and simplifying letters until I get to something that feels right, it’s very rich yet deceptively simple. I do think the other two methods are a very good way to get started, push away conscious thought and overcome drawing insecurities some people might have.

  • When I looked up witched wheel template, all of them were different shapes and had the lines in different places making it so the letters weren’t quite in the same spot, but still in the same order. I ended up just making my own. Do the letters and lines on the witches wheel have to be in a certain place or does it all work out the same?

  • hi there. love your creativity and sharing. thankyou very much. I have a question if possible you can help me I’d be very grateful. I intend to move out of my flat soon, do a flat swap with another council flat. I have being manifesting this move for over a year now. In my dreams I saw the street and flat and number. I did more websiteing and found the place. I believe with absolute conviction this is the flat swap that will happen. So How do I word this for a sigil. eg. I love my new dream home at (then write the address and flat number)?..peace, light and joy..col

  • I don’t understand how you join the letters…can we join any letter with each other… Until it makes a shape or something ?? In the 2nd one… Can we write the numbers till 9? Or even 5 or 6?? Okayyy so the last one is the easiest one so i’mma go on with that!! Thank you! 1 last question, is this safe? I mean I hope there’s nothing involved in it since it’s witchcraft? I am sorry I do not know anything about witchcraft. I just know about manifestation and its ways, and I feel like sigils are manifesting tools and I’m very interested in them!

  • Thank you so much for this article! I have been trying to understand how to make sigils and just didn’t quite get it. After perusal your article it was like Bam! I hadn’t heard of the first two methods you demonstrated and found that the first method (the letter wheel) fit me wonderfully! Again, THANK YOU! Blessed Be!

  • At first I was only using the number and letter chart, but I always felt like I was doing something wrong. Thank you so much for this article it really helped me see that sigil can be however you want them to be. The last one spoke to me the most and now I will feel like the sigil are more meaningful 🙏✌✍🌌🪄🔮🥰

  • 1. Can I make multiple sigils for multiple goals? 2. If there’s double number like 4646, do I need to only keep 1 number which is 4 and 6? 3. How to activate it? 😊 Do I need to burn it? And paper will do? Or can I keep it on the back of my phone, between my phone and case. Thank you so much for the help!!! 😊🥰

  • Greetings love, I am new to your website an playing catch up. I am not new to the craft but I still find it enjoyable to go back to basics to “refresh” ones mind. Love you work an I am sure your articles would help a lot of the baby witches out there. I look forward to perusal more of your work. Thank you an may you never walk alone. 🌹

  • Would there be any particular way to do your own personal sigil? Would you use your name or would you use a very personal phrase? (Sorry if this question is not appropriate in relation to sigue use; I just found out last night that sigues could be used when baking to “mark” the crust of the bottom of a pie you might be baking, lol) thank you. I really appreciate your articles and the practices here. I hope I can “emboss” more of my objects…

  • I had an interesting experience with this before I even knew what sigils were (which was very recently). When I was middle school and junior high age, i would draw this face profile of a guy with a goatee, sometimes smoking a joint. I would draw this in almost all of my class notebooks and I really identified with the character I created (I named him ‘Shamone’ from a line in Weird Al’s parody of Beat it called “Eat it”) by the time I was a sophomore in high school I had a well defined goatee well before the rest of my face grew beardy. By the time I was in college and smoking weed, I often wore a goatee as well. I remember looking through my old notebooks and wondering if I manifested my early goatee. I had assumed it was genes and conditioning (snoop dogg also has a goatee—I really liked snoop dogg in high school) but now I think manifestation took a part in it as well. I found this article really helpful, and I plan on making more sigils 🙂

  • I only have two so far, one is for protection for my house and the other is for luck. I love both. And I didn’t intend it, but they both mesh together. The one for luck is basically a fancy H that I actually made three years ago when sketching. Before I knew anything about witchcraft. It felt good to look at it. Like hope or luck. And the one for protection has a sort of h shape in it. I guess it makes sense that luck and a safe home do sort of have something to do with each other. I’m going to put the protection sigil in the door frames of my home. I’ll just slip them in there. And bam! a safe house is what I have!
