📹 2024 Fix: The Application Was Unable to Start Correctly 0xc0000142 Error in Windows 10
In this video, we’re going to show you How to fix The Application Was Unable to Start Correctly 0xc0000142 Error in Windows 10 .
This didn’t help. I restarted and I’m still receiving the same message when trying to open any office program. Starts with wanting to “update”, then get unsuccessful error message you mention. I am on Windows 10 Pro… When I paste the information and hit enter, it does nothing but give me the same line, when I pasted the second option and clicked enter, still no change on the screen but to give me the next line… But I restarted as instructed. I’ve tried that twice now. Not fixed! I still have no access to any of my office programs meaning any of my documents!!!
Didn’t work and i did use both commands and they did “work” with some fiddling with the way its supposed to be typed in but after making sure everything should be fine restarted the computer properly and when i went to try the app same issue even tried the first solution as well on both menus for the settings
I tried doing both of the solutions but none of them worked, i guess i have a trojan virus idk. Everytime i try opening regedit it shows me this error, every time i open wifi settings it freezes then crashes, the search isnt working because its suspended, i tried resuming it but quick resource option doesnt open. Its complicated af, i guess i’ll just have to format my pc
Please help me! I not able to run command prompt as i cannot het past my sign in page. I have not forgotten my password but it wont let me in. When I click on ‘i forgot pin’ it shows me the same error that it seems loads of people have been getting.it also tells me that brightdata.exe has failed to open application. I dont know what to do
i cant do with both options. the second option is unclear. i copied and pasted the two in subscription and do i have to press enter again or no? like there is two sentences or another start with C:\\Users\\Lenovo> ? or two sentences end with the two links in subscription. do i have to press enter after the second command?
so I paid for lord of the fallen and it gave me the same message so I emailed steam and let them know I was having issues. they had told me to send a couple things to them and they said it was on their end. I waited a couple days and downloaded the patches and still was not fixed to I got my money back. I wanted to play Elden ring and got the same message. I noticed it was also easy anti cheat. I’m lost and need help.
This worked for me, I pasted his comment below. Right click on your local drive where the app is installed, for me it was Local Disk (C:) Click Properties Select the “Tools” tab Click “Check” in the error checking section You might get a window that says “You don’t need to scan this drive” Ignore it and scan anyway After the scan i got a notification saying that some corrupted files were discovered and offered to restart and fix the issue. After that the issue was resolved and i was able to open my app.
When i put those commands into command prompt it made it so that windows would not boot until I unplugged all of my hard drives except for the boot one, I don’t even know if I can plug them back in and have windows boot up again and honestly I might do a clean install of windows because of this. Would not recommend based on my experience. Edit, after plugging in my other drives and running windows memory diagnostic to make my computer recognize the drives again all seems to be well and this fixed the issue with my game which was Modern Warfare. I don’t know if the game will continue to work because I fixed this once and it was working but it shortly stopped working again, will comment on this if my game stops launching again.
Error Code 142, program fails to install I would remove everything raze related and then boot into safemode with networking. I fixed my issue and here is the solution. Why the program stopped trying to do an install at 10% made no sense. Whatever was blocking the program was either my computer’s fault or the program’s fault. This is related to my Razer Tartarus v2, it’s possible this may help with other Razer devices as I suspect it’s either a shared file or interference with another plugged in device like a keyboard or some other device plugged into the USB ports. As I was perusing the net trying to get a snippet of information, I came across a site that identified that error code of 142 but was unrelated to Razer’s. It stated to boot into safemode and do some troubleshooting there. I thought, wait a minute will safe mode allow me to install the program? As far as the steps are concerned I may have gotten lucky in the order or not. But I am happy I am back up running. So I rebooted into safemode with networking and proceeded to install Synpase 3.0 It installed but stalled out at 99% due to the fact that there are a lot of services turned off but I was somewhat skeptical and so rebooted back into normal mode. I saw the Razer boot screen and it allowed me to log into the program but the service wouldn’t start. Great, I was close so I decided to boot back into safe mode and install Razer cortex and wait for about a minute to reboot my machine because it would not finish the install, but I was somewhat confident it would finish the install process upon rebooting back into normal mode.
SUK AND WHEN WILL I FIND A NORMAL AND WORKING WAY?! I CAN’T HOLD IT ALREADY! IT WAS EXPECTED THAT NONE OF THIS WOULD WORK! MY LIFE SHIT! Sorry for the inadequate whiskey, but one article does not help me fix a stupid problem. It was expected that nothing would work, so… I won’t be able to use the bitch that I used in windows 7 before the boot sector failed. I HAVE SO DUMMY PSYCHE OF RASHATAD!! I WANT TO RESTORE EVERYTHING AND THE PROGRAM FUCKED OUT.
I Have Watch Soo Many articles But All Solutions not work For Me … Then I Reinstall The Windows And After That Downloaded DirectX Runtime And Install It Ti Worked For Me… But I Tick The Keep Nothing On Windows Install Setup It Will Fix So Many Errors One Of This 👉 ( Application Doesn’t Start Correctly ) And ⚠️ Keep Nothing Will Be Delete Only Documents,Videos, Pictures Like These Default Folders Only⚠️
You know what I find just sad and pathetic? You can’t call MS with a problem you are having with THEIR product. You have to scour the web and watch youtube articles on how to fix these crashes and glitches. In my experience MS is just the shittiest company out there. They don’t have enough money to offer call in tech support for THEIR product yet they have enough money to buy 2 game companies. It just makes me sick. I’ll try this..I even went the the official MS website for help and even those techs were referring people to sites outside of MS…. I mean WTF is up with that corporation??
The first solution just wprked perfectly to solve the problem. I moved to another country, perhaps that’s why the bizarre message from Microsoft started to pop-up. This is quite weird once people nowadays travel quite a lot (well, less due to Covid). The system should be automatic, without this excelent tutorial I could have passed a hard time to solve it (and losing a bunch of meetings, tasks, etc.). Many thanks again for WR team (and not for Microsoft).
i must say it seems my problem could be from the windows defender as i set additional adjustments to make my computer more protected …wonder why it cause problems with my apps ..Note: i am using object dock and its almost like rocket dock but it seems to run into a start-up problem when i adjusted my windows defender dm me if you want more info and yes this didn’t fix my issue unfortunately
