The Magic Keyboard, Magic Keyboard with Touch ID, Magic Mouse, and Magic Trackpad work wirelessly via Bluetooth when turned on and paired with your Mac. If the device came in the box of your new Mac, it should already be paired with that Mac. To connect your Magic Mouse or Magic Mouse 2 to Mac Computers, follow these steps:
- Click the Bluetooth icon in the upper-right corner of the screen and select Bluetooth Preferences.
- On your Mac, click the Apple icon.
- Connect the Magic Mouse anywhere within range of your computer. When you need to charge the mouse or pair it again, connect it to your iMac using a USB-C cable.
This guide covers how to connect a Mac mouse to any Mac, including the MacBook Air, MacBook Pro, and the Magic Mouse.
