Disney World offers an amazing hack that allows users to use their Apple Watch as a Magic Band, allowing them to enjoy their time at the park. The Magic Band is an all-in-one wearable device that makes it easy to navigate through the park’s entrances. To use the Magic Band, users need to sync their Apple Wallet with their Apple Watch, download the My Disney Experience app, and use Apple Wallet as the payment method.
To set up the Magic Band on an Apple Watch, users must first put their watch next to the app and select the Disney MagicMobile tile. Once inside the app, users can easily enter the parks by holding their iPhone, Apple Watch, or other smart device near an access point. However, only one device can be set to “express mode” where they don’t have to pull it up first.
To set up the Magic Mobile, users must open the My Disney Experience app, sign in, tap on the three lines in the bottom right-hand corner, choose Disney Magic Mobile Pass, and select “Set Up”. Users can also take the “puck” out of their Magic Band and place it in a 3D printed holder that attaches to their Apple Watch band.
Additionally, users can use Apple Pay for payments, but they cannot open doors with the watch, only the app on their phone. To open doors, users can scan them in from their device, get them all bands to tap in, or ensure they are logged into the MDE app on their respective devices.
