In League of Legends (LoL), players can ping cooldowns by pressing the G key to open the ping wheel, then dragging their cursor to the right, where the “Ability” ping is located. This allows players to alert their team about an ability’s current status and share its cooldown status with their team. High-rank streamers often track enemy spell/ult usage on a case-by-case basis, but Riot has expanded the Smart Ping system to allow players to ping their spell cooldowns, jungle timers, gold, and item status by alt-clicking the user HUD.
For enemy champions, pings like “Danger” or “Enemy Missing” can be used to warn teammates about potential threats or alert them when an opponent leaves a lane. Spell Tracker is an easy-to-use tool that allows players to know the cooldowns of every enemy’s summoner spell, such as Flash and TP, so they can decide when and how to outplay.
Riot has expanded the Smart Ping system to allow players to ping their spell cooldowns, jungle timers, and even gold and item status by alt-clicking the user HUD. The main setting to highlight is the option to Show Timestamps, which helps in timing Summoner spells. Players can also use the Tab interface to ping an enemy’s Summoner Spell or one their Ultimate ability.
In addition to ping cooldowns, players can also quick cast Summoner Spell 1, Shift + D, Quick Enemy Vision Ping, H, and Cast an Area Is Warded ping on the mouse. By using these tools, players can optimize their teams and maximize their chances of success in the game.
