How To Recognize An Astrological Interception?

An interception is a phenomenon where a house larger than 30 degrees is engulfed by an entire sign, which is totally enclosed in the house. This occurs due to the method of house division used in astrological charts, such as the Placidus system. Intercepted signs in astrology can negatively affect the native, but there is deeper meaning to be found.

Intercepted houses are a fascinating aspect of astrological interpretation that delves into the intricate layers of a person’s natal chart. In a beginner’s introduction to interceptions and a guide on how to find them, it is essential to understand what interceptions in astrology charts mean, how to identify them, and how they work.

Intercepted houses refer to the fact that in horoscopes erected for northern or southern latitudes, the 12 houses are not all evenly spaced at 30 degrees. An intercepted sign in an astrological chart is a zodiac sign that does not rule any house due to the method of house division used. If a house starts in one sign, includes the next sign, and then ends in the third sign, then that house is intercepted.

Intercepted signs will always start in one house, and they can have a significant impact on an individual’s natal chart and astrological readings. Understanding intercepted signs in astrology requires a deep exploration of how these signs influence an individual’s natal chart and astrological readings, providing insights into their underlying meaning.

What are intercepted planets in astrology?

Interception is the act of a sign being completely swallowed by a house, never touching a house cusp. This is a common astrological question, but it is not possible in certain house division systems. Many astrologers prefer traditional methods like Equal houses or “whole sign houses” where no interceptions are possible. This is because houses and signs are conflated in these systems, making interception irrelevant. In the Equal house system, all houses are thirty degrees wide, and no house is wide enough to swallow a sign. Therefore, interception is not relevant in these systems.

Which signs are dual signs?

Vedic Astrology, an Indian or Hindu system, is the study of the effects of planetary movements on our lives. Originating in ancient India, it is documented by sages in the Vedic scriptures. There are 12 zodiac signs, each with its own characteristics. These signs can be divided into three types based on flexibility: Movable, Fixed, and Dual.

A birth chart, often referred to as a map of planetary positions at one’s birth, helps understand various aspects of one’s personality, career, relationship, and future. It consists of twelve houses, twelve signs, and nine to twelve planets. Each sign has its own characteristics and is open to ideas and learning.

Do I have intercepted signs?

An intercepted sign in an astrological chart is a sign that is entirely contained in one house and does not appear on the cusp of another. When a sign is intercepted, the opposite sign is also intercepted. This results in a dual type of energy, expressed by the sign on the cusp and the intercepted sign. For example, a Pisces ascendant is placed on the cusp of the first house, with the sign Aries intercepted in the first house.

The opposite seventh house has Virgo placed on the cusp of the seventh house, with the sign Libra intercepted in the opposite house. Astrologers have different opinions on the meaning of interception, but the author believes it is stimulated by intuition and allows for creative use of intercepted signs.

What is the rarest conjunction in astrology?

What is the rarest conjunction in astrology?

Great conjunctions occur every 20 years when Jupiter overtakes Saturn in its orbit, making them the rarest of the conjunctions between naked-eye planets. The spacing between the planets varies, with most events being 0. 5 to 1. 3 degrees (30 to 78 arcminutes, or 1 to 2. 5 times the width of a full moon). Very close conjunctions occur less frequently, with separations of less than 10 arcminutes only happening four times since 1200, most recently in 2020.

Great conjunctions have attracted significant attention as omens in the past, with topics discussed by pre-scientific and transitional astronomer-astrologers, scholastic thinkers, and authors such as Dante, Lope de Vega, and Shakespeare. This interest in conjunctions can be traced back to translations of Arabic texts, particularly Albumasar’s book on conjunctions. In the past, great conjunctions were discussed by pre-scientific and transitional astronomer-astrologers, scholastic thinkers, and authors like Dante, Lope de Vega, and Shakespeare.

What are blockages in astrology?

Argala, a term in Vedic astrology, refers to the obstruction or impediment that can affect the free flow of planetary influences. It can be modified based on the influences of planets in certain signs, resulting in either positive or negative outcomes. This concept is explored in various texts, including Jyotishtatwam, Hindu Predictive Astrology, Prasana Tantra of Neelakantha, Jataka Tattva, Varshaphal, Jaimini Sutras, and Studies in Jaimini Astrology.

The text book “Varshaphal” by B. V. Raman, published by Raman Publications, Bangalore, provides a comprehensive understanding of the concept of Argala. It also includes a commentary by B. V. Raman on the Jaimini Sutras, which are also available in various other texts. The online Astrology Lesson No. 7 of K. N. Rao discusses aspects in Vedic Astrology, which can be found in pages 53 onwards.

How do you find the coordinates of interception?

To find the x-intercept and y-intercept of a line, substitute 0 for y and solve for x and y respectively. The intercepts can be used to graph the line. The coordinate system is a grid system with lines formed by two perpendicular axes, the x-axis and the y-axis. The intersection points (0, 0) are called the origin. In an ordered pair, the x-coordinate is always listed first and the y-coordinate second. The coordinate system is similar to a map, with lines formed by two intersecting axes.

How to unlock intercepted planets?

How to unlock intercepted planets?

The interception system in a chart operates similarly to a Japanese safe-chest with secret drawers. To access the secret compartment and intercepted signs, one must follow a specific sequence of keys. The first key, ruler of the house cusp, and the second key, ruler of the intercepted sign, unlocks the intercepted planet. Fulfillment depends on unlocking the interception, which is often assigned delays, hard work, and frustration.

Intercepted Sun (and house of Leo) is a challenging situation as it requires a sense of ego, purpose, and importance to be built. The power of the will and personality essence remain elusive until the voice inside is found.

Intercepted Moon (and house of Cancer) may point to the past and the relationship with the mother, hindering growth due to obsolete past emotional reactions. Addressing and confronting intense emotions is necessary for growth.

Can you be two signs at once?

Individuals born on the cusp, that is, on the boundary between two zodiac signs, may experience an identity crisis. However, this can be seen as an opportunity to embrace the best aspects of both identities.

How to find an interception in astrology?

Interceptions occur when one House fully encompasses a Sign, with 12 signs evenly spaced around the circle, each containing 30 degrees of the full 360 degrees. Houses can be any size as long as the sum of the 12 Houses adds up to 360 degrees. Interceptions will always appear in pairs, as house sizes are symmetrical and reflect across the circle. If a Planet falls into the intercepted sign, it is also intercepted. Each Planet, Sign, and House carries meaning when involved in an interception.

For example, the chart has two pairs of interceptions, with the 2nd and 8th Houses intercepted, and the signs Capricorn and Cancer, respectively. Uranus, Neptune, Sun, and Venus are intercepted Planets.

What are intercepted nodes in astrology?

Nodes are symbolic interceptions where the Moon’s path crosses the ecliptic, used by ancients to predict eclipses and predict life longevity. They have been used in astrology since the 1st Century BCE, with Indian astrologists using Rahu (North Node) and Ketu (South Node) in their delinations. The Karmic qualities associated with nodes in modern western practice were borrowed from Joytish traditions after Eastern philosphies reached the west in the 20th century.

Many people become interested in astrology after learning about sun signs, as these symbolic points are key in outlining the soul’s purpose and often serve as pillars of destiny when one finds a crossroad in life.

  • Seth, would you do a article on midpoints? I have a T square with mercury in the 3rd house opposing saturn in the 9th, and they both square my neptune in 5th. Midpoints really helped me break down the T square because it can be difficult to dive into aspect patterns. Especially because I was diagnosed with a mathematical learning disability as a pre-teen. I only even knew I had a T square because another astrologer pointed it out to me, haha 🙂 Btw I have pluto in sagittarius intercepted in the 4th house with gemini in the 10th. im not sure how having pluto in the interception would complicate things, but i definitely am a plutonian because of a bunch of other aspects lol
