How To Study The Astrology Of Jaimini?

Jaimini Astrology, named after the ancient sage Jaimini, is a celestial science that offers profound insights into human life. It is learned in four levels: A-Absolute, A-Sutra, and A-Sutra-wise. The basic 12 Signs (rasis), 12 cusps (bhavas), and 27 stars (Nakshatra) are the same in both Parashara Astrology and Jaimini Astrology.

The defining characteristics of Jaimini Astrology include Mahadasas, which are rasi mahadasas (sign mahadasas) in Jaimini astrology, and Chara Dasha, a Rashi-based Dasha system used in Jaimini astrology. This system is calculated in a unique manner for each chart, allowing astrologers to understand the influence of cosmic forces on individual destinies.

Learning Astrology is more difficult than people think and can take years to master. A unique book, A Manual of Jaimini Astrology by Iranganti Rangacharya, is written to help readers understand and grasp the fundamentals of Jaimini Astrology. This first Jaimini course consists of eleven 2-hour astrology classes, Jaimini Sutras Translation, Homework, Homework answers, and horoscopes.

To learn Jaimini Astrology, one must take the 9th sign from the Ascendant and count the dasas from the Ascendant Rashi in clockwise order. This unique book is set apart by the fact that it is written to help readers understand and grasp the fundamentals of Jaimini Astrology.

This video is the first basic lesson of Jamini astrology aka Jamini sutra which is a very unique part of Hindu and Vedic astrology.

What is the difference between Parashara and Jaimini astrology?

The Jaimini Sutras, a four-chapter system of prognostication, differ significantly from the Parashari System in terms of Rasi aspects, Karakas determination, Badhaka bhavas, and Dashas. In the Jaimini System, aspect is assigned to Rasis or signs, which are synonymous with Bhavas or Houses. Karakas are fixed according to longitudes gained by planets in particular signs, Dashas are assigned to signs, and the method of determination of Badhakas is more complicated.

Bangalore Venkata Raman’s book, Studies in Jaimini Astrology, explains the abstruseness of the Jaimini System, particularly when mentioning several dashas. Jaimini developed almost a new system that did not prove popular due to its ability to have various interpretations. The Jaimini Sutras have been explained and commented upon by Neelakantha and Premanidhi. Jaimini appears to have favoured Charadasha for determining longevity and predicting important events during a person’s life.

Jaimini acknowledges that all the principles explained in this work are truth propounded in other works. However, understanding the different Bhavas, Rasis, and Planets found confusing requires patience, diligence, and practice. He gives various Lagnas, his dashas are mostly founded on Rasis and Navamsas, and calculations backwards and forwards for odd and even signs and the extent of dashas differ from ordinary conceptions as explained by general principles of astrology. He has not given prominence to the Nakshatras and the merging of two or three planets into one karaka. The exact meanings of the sutras are short and sweet but not easy to grasp.

Is astrology a real study?

Astrology is considered pseudoscience due to its lack of scientific validity and effectiveness in controlled studies. There is no proposed mechanism for how stars and planets affect people and events on Earth, which contradicts well-understood aspects of biology and physics. Modern scientific inquiry focuses on the correlation between astrological traditions and seasonal birth in humans. Most professional astrologers rely on astrology-based personality tests and make predictions about the remunerator’s future.

Those who continue to believe in astrology are characterized as doing so despite the lack of verified scientific basis and strong evidence to the contrary. Astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson emphasized the importance of understanding how nature shapes the world around us, as without this knowledge, individuals can easily become victims of those seeking to take advantage of them.

What is longevity as per Jaimini astrology?

The text categorizes lifespan into three distinct categories: short (up to 33 years), middle (33-66 years), and long (66+ years). To determine longevity, the text employs a comprehensive analysis of astrological factors, including the ascendant’s lord, the 8th house, the moon sign, and the hora lagna. This analysis allows for the identification of conditions that may either increase or decrease longevity.

Jupiter, the planet of progression, indicates professions related to spirituality, philosophy, law, and higher education. Saturn relates to discipline and responsibility, impacting careers that require perseverance, determination, and endurance like accounting, engineering, and management. Getting a professional astrology reading with someone who resonates with you is also a great way to connect with your chart and transits. Each astrologer has a unique way of relating to and translating astrological concepts, making it a fun and engaging way to learn about astrology.

Who is Rahu in Jaimini astrology?

In the tradition of Jaimini astrology, the lowest degree planet in a horoscope is identified as the Dara Karak planet. How to predict marriage in Jaimini astrology?

In Jaimini astrology, marriage can be assessed using the Up-Pada, the pada of the twelfth house. The seventh house from the Ascendant and the seventh house from Darakarak and Up-Pada should also be considered. The second house, which is the house of family, is important for finding an attractive and homely spouse. Jupiter or Moon is placed in the seventh house from Karakamsha or Shadvarga, making it the most auspicious planet in all. Married life is also considered in this house, as it is a part of family life.

What is the Darakaraka in Jaimini astrology?

In the chara karaka scheme of Jaimini, the Darakaraka is the planet with the least degrees in a chart, representing spouse, love affairs, relationships, and infatuations. It is associated with benefic planets and can bring happiness from marriage. However, when in bad company with hard malefic planets or in close conjunction with Ganatikaraka, it can cause trouble in married life or relationships.

The position of Darakaraka is also analyzed in the Navamsha kundali for deeper understanding. The Pada or Arudha signifies the external manifestations of houses, and the Pada of a house tells us how the significations of that house are perceived by others. The Darapada is the Pada of the 7th house of marriage, and the Upa-Pada is the Pada or Arudha of the 12th house, which signifies bed comforts. The planets influencing the Upa-Pada tell us about the married life.

The 7th house from Karakamsha lagan is used to judge the prospects of marriage or relationship. The 7th house from Swamsha lagan is also seen for the purpose of marriage or relationship. The conditions of Venus, which holds the natural signification of marriage, are also to be judged. The influences of benefic and malefic planets must be considered in Jaimini aspects.

How to check two marriages in astrology?

Astrologers check for dosha presence during Ashtrakoot Milan, aiming for a minimum score of 16 to ensure marital harmony. Failure to do so can lead to disharmony in the first marriage. • I have thought about your arranged marriage article and I’m sorry for writing here but I feel I will forget before I find the right vid. You can very easily have an arranged marriage in this day and age without anyone arranging it for you. It’s more like your choice of partner and what is it based on. I’ll give an example. If you happen to be a woman, like I happen to be, you could go for a spouse who you fall in love with and the circumstances of this other person’s life, if at least acceptable, you take in stride and work with it. On the other hand you could be looking for a person in certain life situation to marry. Like when a woman is looking more for a man who will give her the life she wants and that is more important to her than the person providing it and again, if the person is deemed acceptable for her, the woman will just work with it. It is you who arrange the marriage based on your priority. I am one of four scorpio siblings and of two currently existing marriages my brother went for the girl he fell for where my sister went for the man who could give her what she wanted in life and while her husband is in love with her, she just likes him alright, it is a business deal for her. When she went for this guy, she first saw what he had to offer her and when she saw that there was a catch, love, she just went and gave him what he was looking for. It’s an arranged marriage. She likes him, of course, and while there is no passionate love for her husband, she is the perfect wife.

  • sir it is very easy for you but difficult for another sir i am great fan of you i have also keen interest in astrology i have learned so many books based on astrology and i have also attended so many classes for it from past long time but i assumed that astrology is still a research and there is no end of that subject. Now i watched every article of your krs website and i learned so much through your website.

  • It becomes very complicated and very difficult to predict whenever it comes to prediction of some of the main important things like career, marriage, education love affairs, specially in court cases hospitalization and jail because in that way any kind situation can be made or cannot be whatever a person wants so many aspects makes a person confused more so one should go only with one theory of astrology.

  • Thank you sir now i understand, for example my chart, i have sun moon mercury jupiter venus in ascendant capricorn. So if its in jamini then those planet aspect 5th, 8th, 11th. While the regular astrology those planet aspect 3rd, 7th, 10th. So in the end its not just 3 houses but 6 houses?!!! Wow wow thank you thank you sir i will looking up about it more!

  • Kapiel can one deduce that if an aspect is shown by Parashar as well as Gemeni then there are more chances of the event being signified coming to fruition. Is this kind of compounding an ok way of thinking (don’t mean the only way of thinking.) Thanks for posting the article. Very interesting and eye opening.

  • That does make a bit more sense out of the interview you had with Paul knowing that you were referencing different systems. I hope you explain the sign aspecting more with Jaimini. That article interview was interesting cause he mentioned something he was looking into with marriage being triggered when you add the degrees of the ascendant with the degrees of the lord of the 7th house. If Jupiter is transiting there it can trigger marriage or relationship. Do you add the AS deg to 7th lord’s?

  • If we consider planets to aspect the signs and houses along with jaimini sign aspect then through Planetary aspect planets sitting in a sign will also cause the signs to aspect the houses and the signs which the planets are aspecting through Planetary aspects rule ?? Its wrong to take planets also when implying jaimini aspects, purely signs will aspect the houses and signs that’s it

  • Hey kapiel, I talked to Deepak Bisaria ji he said to join Bhartiya Vigya Bhavan in Delhi, and before joining i want to know the height of my success in the astrology (not in terms of money but in terms of fame & predictions) so will u please tell me if you agree i will tell u details and in fact i have send u. Waiting for answer

  • Hi Kapiel… im using Jagannatha Hora software for analyzing and learning vedic astology.. I cud find that Rahu is marked as my atmakaraka since it is at 5 degrees and due to its retrograde motion it is actually 25 degrees and which is the highest degree attained in my chart thus making it the AK… but now after perusal your article, Rahu is ruled out.. am i following the wrong footsteps?? kindly guide… by going with wat u say AmK should become my AK (Moon in my case).. it changes everything now…

  • Omg I am laughing here.. So you fuse them to cover aspects.. But then hold on how many more are you go a fuse. There is a confusion in astrology because the frame work is not 100 percent non arbitrary.. We need the right frame work that is natural and mathematical. Not to say the frame work we use now is not that effective.. It is at least 70 percent correct

  • What about Multable signs? Which house has to be eliminated? Since for Multable signs, no house sit next to the planet placement house? For example: Saturn in 12th house in Mutable sign (Sag) – So he will look at house 3 Pisces, house 6 Gemini, and house 9 Virgo. There are no houses sitting next to 12th house at all.

  • They us aspects such as Conjunctions, Squares, (Ex. if a planet is in a Cardinal sign, (or others, doesn’t matter) it squares any planets that are in the other Cardinal signs) Trines, (if a planet is in a Fire sign, it’s trines the other planet that’s in a fire sign) Sextile, (if a planet is in Virgo for Ex. it sextiles the water signs except Pisces. If a planets in Aries it sextiles the air signs except Libra) Oppositions (opposite from sign, Ex. Leo and Aquarius) and other insignificant ones.
