How To Use Astrology To Find Bhava?

Bhavas, or Astrological Houses, play a crucial role in Vedic astrology, understanding a person’s life, destiny, and various aspects of their existence. Each Bhava represents different aspects of an individual’s life, and the Bhava Chalit chart is used to find the position of planets in the houses relative to the actual Lagna degree.

In Vedic astrology, the twelve Bhavas (houses) are divided into four ‘bhavs’, which point to’mood’ or what the house stands for. The ancient astrologer believed that the house of communication was the house of goddesses, as the moon tends to find joy in this house.

The twelve houses (bhāv) of a chart have the same boundaries as the twelve signs in the chart, meaning each sign is a house in the chart. The beginning of each house is the 0th degrees of the sign and the end is the 30th degree of the sign. To calculate the Bhava Chalit Chart According to Lagna, all you need is LAGNA Longitude If more than 15: SUBSTRACT If less than 15: ADD.

In Vedic astrology, the birth chart, known as the “Kundli” or “Horoscope”, is divided into 12 houses or “Bhavas”. Each house represents specific areas of life. To calculate the Bhava Chalit Chart According to Lagna, all you need is LAGNA Longitude If more than 15: SUBSTRACT If less than 15: ADD.

In summary, Bhavas, or houses, play a significant role in Vedic astrology, providing insight into a person’s life, destiny, and various aspects of their existence. Understanding these houses and their influences on a person’s life is essential for effective horoscope analysis.

How to calculate bhava lagna?

Bhava Lagna is a Hindu belief system that states that from sunrise to the time of birth, every 5 Ghatis (or 120 minutes) is equal to one hour. This concept is derived from the division of the time of birth (in Ghatis, Vighatis, etc.) from sunrise by 5 and adding the quotient to Surya’s longitude, as at sunrise. Which is more important Rashi or Navamsa?

Vedic astrology emphasizes the importance of the Navamsa, the occupied region by planets and the Lagna-point, and consults both the Rasi-chart and the Navamsa-chart together. The Rasi-chart provides information about the location of planets and sensitive points, while the Navamsa-chart provides vital information about their active quality and strength. Navamsa, meaning the “Ninth Division”, measures 3 degrees and 20 minutes in longitude and comprises 108 navamsas in the Zodiac of Signs.

There are three important ways to reckon a Navamsa Chart: Parasara Navamsa, Krishna Mishra Navamsa, and Somanatha Navamsa. The Parasara Navamsa Method starts from Aries, Leo, and Sagittarius, then Taurus, Virgo, and Capricorn, Gemini, Libra, and Aquarius, and Cancer, Scorpio, and Pisces. A planet’s full effects may not materialize if its situation in the Navamsa-chart is not supportive.

What are the 8 symptoms of bhava?

The bhava stage is characterized by eight transcendental symptoms, including inertness, perspiration, standing of hairs, failing in the voice, trembling, paleness of the body, tears in the eyes, and trance. The transcendental ecstatic attachment for Kṛṣṇa, which results from understanding that Kṛṣṇa’s person and name are identical, is called bhāva. Achieving bhāva is not contaminated by material nature but enjoys transcendental pleasure from bhāva, which is intensified by chanting the holy name of Kṛṣṇa, or the mahā-mantra (great chanting).

Lord Caitanya explained that the attainment of love of Godhead is the ultimate human necessity, as it is the eternal nature of the soul and unchangeable. Love of God is the fifth dimension in human endeavor, and the conception of impersonal Brahman is no more significant than a drop of water.

Lord Caitanya’s spiritual master confirmed the validity of his ecstasy from chanting the holy name of God and confirmed that the essence of all Vedic literature is the attainment of love of Godhead. By attaining this transcendental love, one’s heart becomes anxious to attain direct contact with the Lord, resulting in various ecstatic symptoms such as crying, changing bodily color, madness, bereavement, silence, pride, ecstasy, and gentleness. Frequently, a person in love with God dances, placing them in the ocean of the nectar of love of Kṛṣṇa.

  • Hello sir very clear content on YouTube with your single article sir and i request to clarity how to see athmakaraka… does it have any relations with bava chalit chart while seeing athmakaraka planet with higher degree in rashi chart because again highest degree planet change its position to different house… How we can identify athmakaraka does it have any relation with bava chalit chart ?????? 💫💫💫💫💫💫💫💫💫💫💫💫💫💫💫💫💫💫💫💫

  • Well Mr. Purab the charts used in Indian astrology are 1. Whole Sign 2. Bhav Chailt/Vehlow (plus and minus 15 deg) 3.Sripati Bhav Chalit (uses a trisection between Asc and Midheaven and places those points as Bhava Madhya) 4. Niryan Bhava Chalit Or Placidus Chart (KP chart) (which is a western style chart) …….. I personally favour 1. Bhava Sripati Chart and 2. Niryan Bhav Chalit Chart(Kp chart) That is because when I got into KP astrology that changed my prospective. KP chart uses 1st cuspal sublord for personality, 10th cuspal sublord for career etc. KP chart could be simply used in Vedic astrology too as per rules told by you. The great astrologer BV Raman used “Sripati Bhava Chart” That has been traditionally used to calculate Shadbala. Sripati lived in 10th century. 10th cusp (midpoint) has not the same degree as asc degree both in Sripati Chart and KP chart. For me Sripati chart and KP chart work. I can’t discard the works of Great BV Raman and KP. Hence I disfavour Vehlow chart (+- 15 degree). I have reached this conclusion and I am into astrology since 1999. I have wasted much of time on other house systems too like Campanus, Porphyry, Regiomontanus etc which are used in Western astrology. I like western house systems too. Each one has its own merit and demerit. Conclusion: whole sign, Sripati Bhava chart and Placidus (KP) chart are the best

  • Hmm I am a Scorpio Lagna and only Sun and Mercury moves from my 6th house in rashi chart to my 5th house in chalit chart. I am currently running my Sun MD so I will observe and see. I actually found out I have a malavya yoga just like Princess Diana who is also a Scorpio lagna. Venus is alone in my 7th house in Taurus but so was Princess Diana. I was wondering why her marriage was so bad and looking at her chart I can only think of 2 explanations. Her Jupiter is debilitated in her 3rd house Capricorn and aspects her 7th house with Venus. The tragic events in her life all took place during her Jupiter MD. I also took a look at her chalit chart and many planets moved including Venus which moved to her 6th house. Based on the movement it does match the story of her life. Venus in the 7th house first gave her a very wealthy and royal spouse but since it moved into her 6th house her marriage failed and her husband became her enemy.

  • Thank you so much for this nice article 🙏 it’s very beneficial for me becuase my chalit chart is different than rashi. For example in rashi chart for gemini sign sun, moon & venus are in 4th house. Mars is in 3rd house. Mercury& pluto& ketu in 5th house. Jupiter in 8 th house. But in chalit chart they change their houses. In chalit Mars & Venus in 4th house. Sun&Moon in 5th house. Jupiter in 9th house. And Mercury&pluto&ketu&saturn in 6th house. So here according to the chalit chart for 6th house can we say 1st, 5th, 9th & 10th houses’ lords are in 6th house? Let’s say we want to predict this person’s profession. Do we have to consider chalit 10th lord placement here? I’m an academician. If we look rashi chart, my 10th house lord (jupiter) is in 8th house. But if we look chalit chart, my 10th house lord (Saturn) is in 6th house. Which one do we consider here? I know for profession prediction we should look more things and sub charts too but let’s say we should analyze just chalit or rashi chart. Which one’s 10th house/lord should we look?

  • Excellent explanation. My Asc is 4° Sagittarius. Moon is in 8th house 29°Cancer. So my Moon actually gives result as if it’s in 9th house in Cancer. The result given for the house change but the sign remains as in the Rasi. When interpreting strength and power, Mahadasha and gemstones usage, we should use the Bhava Chalit chart. Question: Moon being my Atmakarka and in Gandata at 29° Cancer, does it also lose the power of these status & condition?

  • if bhavat chalit chart 7th house lord is in 12th house where as in d1 it’s 7th lord in first house ..that means if jupiter and mars both husband and it in 12th house in bhav chalit chart so your partner for marriage will come fro foregn country or far away? or near by as max astrologer said that my 7th house lord in rashi chart that is d1 chart 7th house lrd is in first house so which one to conside as in the bhavat chalit chart it in 12th house.

  • This is good information!! Actually my bhaav chalit kundali changes from app to app and website to website… how to know which is correct? Does place of birth affect? Example, I’m a Gemini asc 26 degrees … mercury is in 9th house, Kumbha in lagna chart.. but in some apps, it goes to Pisces in bhaav chalit and astrologer suggested that mercury is neecha so wear some gem stones… you won’t believe I had so many issues when I just got it home and was not even wearing!! Then I just threw it outside the house and all the problems were sorted immediately!!! In few apps mercury stays in Kumbha even in bhaav kundali…

  • Thanks i got it, however just wanted to know what would be the lagna on the example chart you showed. Software will now show tauras as lagna, and even based on lagna other parameters connects in terms of gems, as maybe some lagna’s don’t suggest to wear particular gemstone. Example bein shani lagna people, cannot wear sun/moon gems

  • Sir in Cancer Ascendant in birth chart if Mercury is in 3rd house in the sign of Virgo(exalted) and in Vhav chalit chart if it goes to 2nd house what will be the result? Because mercury in virgo in 2nd house can only be possible for Leo Ascendant people. In cancer ascendant mercury is lord of 3rd and 12th house so does it indicate that there will be heavy loss of money?

  • clear that the strength or weakness of the planet (aspects, sign, conjunctions, etc) is assessed from rasi but the effect of the planet applies to the house of the Bhava Chalit chart, I have not found a good explanation to how to use the harmonic charts to maximum . Do you have articles on this. First time I saw you.

  • Sir I am little confused ..there are so many ways to calculate bhav chart..I installed jagannath hora and found different bhav chart…mid bhav concept and some time they are calculating from the lagna degree…and after finding some Quora and etc that different astrologer believes in different system…if it is like math it should not have different answers.. waiting for answer 🙏
