In League of Legends, a feature called Quick Cast allows players to cast spells with a single button press. This feature is useful for self-buff abilities, ground-targeted abilities, and skillshots. The spell indicator shows the range of a champion’s abilities and/or its area of effect, usually indicated by a blue circle around the champion or a line missile display originating from the champion. To enable or disable Quick Cast, go to Options > Hotkeys > Abilities and Summoner Spells > Quick Cast with Indicator.
Quick Cast automatically casts the selected ability dependent on the current position of the cursor, working for self-buff abilities, ground-targeted abilities, and skillshots. It is also harder to accurately cast as it requires clicking on the ability and then on the target. However, Quick Cast works like normal quickcast, with range indicators displayed if the key is held down. For example, holding Q on Nidalee will display the indicator. If you simply tap E without holding it down, it acts as regular Quick Cast. If you hold it, you see the range/direction indicator.
To enable or disable Quick Cast in League of Legends, go to your Hotkey settings and click “Quick Cast All”. Then, toggle “Replace Quick Cast with Quick Cast With Indicator in the quickbind UI” on. Indicators can be seen by hovering over the ability or activating the ability with quick cast disabled. The classifications for the indicators are:
- Quick Cast with Range Indicator
- Smart cast + Line Range Indicator
- Quick Cast with Indicator\n4
