Oh thank you!! I have always split shuffle on the side but I didn’t think to do the other shuffle with my hands holding the smaller width!! So, when i do that shuffle the cards clump together and I can’t get a nice flow. Will that come with experience? I am only new. Do I sit with my cards and just shuffle while perusal tv to get better and smoother?
Still doesn’t work for me, my cards seem to be very stiff and difficult to bend along with being quite big, so instead of the cards fluttering down they all just kinda go down in a big clump :(. They seem to be more similar in size to the first deck of cards you picked up, and I also have quite small hands. How do you shuffle those ones?
Thank you ☺️ I just opened my first pack of Oracle cards tonight and tried shuffling for the first time ever, and realized I had no idea what the hell I was doing lol.. I watch them in the articles all the time and it looks easy but I got the Starseed deck and these are really thick and hard and I thought maybe I just really sucked 😂 and I YouTube’d A couple articles but this is the only one that made me smile because you’re absolutely right I’m prone to frustration when I don’t get something right away but I just have to stay positive, but I love when the cards pop out it’s my favorite! 🥺 I’ll just keep at it 💕
This helps so, so much. I’m kind of new to this, having bought a deck of Wisdom of Avalon Oracle Cards about 12 years ago. Shortly before that I had finished reading the entire set of Avalon books. I tried to shuffle, but never could figure out how. I have very small hands and have had thumb surgery on one, so my span is limited. I’ve tried overhand shuffling, but it took forever. I’ve slowed to doing a reading every 12-15 months, but have found each one amazingly helpful! Recently I have become interested in starting at least monthly again, and was considering purchasing an automatic battery powered card shuffler. I’m so glad it occurred to me (more like I was guided) to consult my source for all home DIY info — YouTube! I especially appreciate the reminders about bonding with the energy of the cards’ wisdom, having patience, self discipline, etc. I had become so frustrated with the physical challenge of shuffling that I lost sight of the real reason for using the cards. I know this is a long reply, and I just felt that I needed to share my experiences. Perhaps it will help others. 🥰
White Numen tarot is my favourite deck but It’s way too big for me and supper stiff :/ I’m trying to shuffle, splitting it like you do but my inexperienced hands have problem with bridging (The thing that snaps cards back), do you have any tips? Actually from what I noticed every tarot deck is too big for me so I have to split hahaha I don’t mind though 😊
