What is the strongest magic class in Elden Ring?

The Elden Ring Astrologer class is a powerful ranged magic option with 15 Mind and 16 Intelligence stats. It can cast powerful Sorcery spells for single and multiple targets. However, its stats are low, so it’s recommended to spend first Runes on boosting Vigor and Endurance to increase HP and Stamina. Increasing Intelligence can help meet higher Attribute requirements for better spells. The class also has the highest starting Faith, more balanced stats, and Incantations that focus less on dealing damage.

Is dragonmaw good in Elden Ring?

The Elden Ring Dragonmaw has been updated to Patch 1. 10. 2. It inflicts greater damage and provides greater protection than the Dragonclaw, but it can be linked to itself when power-stancing is achieved. A strategically executed Dragonmaw maneuver can effectively evade adversaries employing ground-based assaults, such as those utilized by Godfrey and Radagon. For further information, please refer to the patch notes.

What is the strongest magic in Elden Ring?

Impenetrable Thorns is a powerful sorcery from Shadow of the Erdtree that can kill any boss not immune to Bleed in just a few casts, despite a low FP cost of 15. It requires Faith to use and can be cast with an Arcane build and one of the Arcane-scaling staves like the Albinauric Staff or the new Maternal Staff. The spell’s raw damage is good, making it useful against Bleed-immune bosses. To boost its effectiveness, wear Alberich’s Set and have a Staff of the Guilty in your offhand. Impenetrable Thorns can be found within the Shadow Keep Legacy Dungeon in northern Scadu Altus.

Both Impenetrable Thorns and Gravitational Missile are exceptional new sorceries from the DLC, but Fleeting Microcosm is overall better due to its more potent crowd control utility for PvE. When cast, it creates a large bubble-like object next to enemies that violently explodes, dealing huge damage and knocking down all but the biggest targets, making it easy to continue hitting them with follow-up uses of the spell.

How good is dragon magic in Elden Ring?

Dragon Communion Incantations in Elden Ring are often underrated but can be powerful and useful in strategic situations. Players must defeat fearsome dragons with unique abilities to obtain Dragon Hearts to exchange for Incantations. They should strategically choose Incantations based on their build and playstyle, as each offers different advantages in combat scenarios. Although the Elden Ring Dragon Communion Incantations have a less stellar reputation among players, some are powerful and deserve recognition. Using Dragon Hearts in Elden Ring can be useful in traversing the Lands Between, so it’s worth investing in Incantations that can be useful in combat scenarios.

What is the easiest class in Elden Ring?

The Vagabond class is a popular choice for beginners in the Elden Ring due to its high starting Vitality at 15, second-highest Strength stat at 14, and well-rounded nature. This high starting health is crucial in Soulsborne games and is particularly beneficial for beginners. The Vagabond class starts at level 9, costing 811 runes for the first level up. Its equipment complements its strengths, allowing players to wield a longsword or halberd alongside a simple shield.

The Heater Shield blocks all physical damage when guarding, making it an ideal choice for facing enemies in the first part of the game. Alternating between a sword and shield allows Tarnished to quickly work against Godrick Soldiers and other physically threatening foes in Limgrave.

  • Some Ebay merchant is literally selling 72,000,000 runes for $18.99 lol. I thought it was a joke but i go to the description part on his ebay page and it says this “ELDEN RING 72,000,000 (72 Million) RUNES on PS4 PS5 ONLY – NOT GAME, JUST CURRENCY then he says “I WILL MEET YOU IN THE GAME BETWEEN 6PM-11PM CST then he writes “MESSAGE ME YOUR INFO AND I WILL PROVIDE A PASSWORD AND LOCATION IN THE GAME TO MEET” LMAO Is this dude for real hahaha 🤣😂🤷🏼‍♂️

  • So I have a question. Seen a few builds for dragon incantations, but all of them are using mostly the same talismans. My question is why does no one use the roar talisman? It states in the description that it buffs roars a d breath attacks. Is the buff just that negligible or is it just not a common one to find?

  • Yeah Placidusax’s Ruin is cool as heck, but awful. The magma is actually a little better since you can chain two blasts so if someone rolls out of the first expecting it to end, they can get caught by the second one. Scarlet Breath is definitely one of the best but this is just cause toxic is a painful status to deal with. The Frost Breath I would say is just as good if not better in some cases, since the debuff can be really harmful, and the percentage damage hit can help a lot. Fire and Magic Breaths aren’t as outwardly useful, but can be super buffed for major damage and magic IS the least resisted element in the game, meaning you’ll almost always deal more damage overall with it. I do also wanna throw out Greyoll’s Roar. Not so much for PvP but definitely for PvE. It’s just a good choice against certain enemies, especially ones who block or wait and keep their distance. Just roar at them, deal about 1.6k damage and debuff their attack and defense for a while. If you get an enemy stuck behind a wall, this attack can actually kill them through it too. Very good for cheesing bad enemy locations. Dragon Communion is my absolute favorite thing in Elden Ring. Nothing in all of Souls will ever be cooler than using the power of the dragons you defeated to destroy your enemies. I just wish it had just a bit of poise. Just enough to take maybe some general light hits. I’m using the power of a god damn Ancient Dragon, why can a throwing knife stun me? Edit: Thinking about it some more, I do also wanna bring up some thoughts I had that I think would make Dragon Communion more fun.

  • You missed the fact plasidusax initial hit is the fastest attack in the game, coming out in 10 frames. It is basically impossible to reaction dodge the attack, you have to predict it, making it a fantastic finisher when they’re at low HP. Holding it in your back pocket until the enemy has around 400hp or less it’s almost a guaranteed win.

  • I don’t know I really like hitting them with the ice first just so I can drop their defenses and increase their damage taken then bust off of Golden vow or jelly Shield because I don’t know if they stack and then proceeded to Nuke them with something like the magic breath or fire or whatever it is depending on their resistance and before all that if I can get away with it I bust off a roar I don’t know if it’s tax with all the other weakening effects and damage increasing effects because I just nuke everything and I am only sitting at 80 faih 50 arcane plus I drink a physic that increases magic damage because the magic breath gets an increase from it. Also if you have a hard time getting off the Dragon incantations the swarm of flies spell does a good job at staggering people and then you can Bust the incantation off you’re already stacking arcane so the bleed happens quick with the Flies

  • For people who needs a better example for how powerful Rotten Breath is. If you Use it to Apply Rot to a Dragon, you can take it’s health down by Half. Any Dragon. And you can get this at the beginning of the game. So if you Apply it and run away, you can get free Dragon Kills with this. Free Open World Boss Kills as. Long as you can apply it. Congrats your a trained Dragon Slayer now. 🎉

  • I normally think you are dead spot on but with this one I don’t know. I’ve been running a dragon build for over a week I have it setup a lot different but the Lesser Dragon spells are easier to get off and some of them the setup you don’t need the bigger spell and I am smashing a lot higher numbers than what was in here I don’t know what you are four points I am running 80 Faith 50 arcane and I can absolutely nuke shit set people up with swarm of flies once they’re staggered hit them with a boosted to shit magic breath and they are dead if they’re resistant to Magic I use fire and I get the same result

  • I was so very dissapointed by the dragon incantaitions they just feel so lack luster considering how cool they look, but I guess because of that they suffer a cool tax, then a cast time tax, a stationary tax (no super armor), and an aoe tax, this adds up to a high mana drain aswell as all together they are just meh in actuale use, grate if you can get them off but by the time you do it was better to cast almost any other spell or ability or just walk up and hit it with a bick stick. when I say tax I mean a drawback or soemthing that should make the spell balanced but goes to far, or with what i call the “cool tax” is thing looks cool so people will use it because its cool so make it not so good in its actual roll so as to not draw people away from a plain or dull thing that would normaly do the same damage/effct.

  • Spent the last couple days grinding making a build around the dragon breath spells, and absolutely same issues. Minor mobs their amazing, but on anything remotely aggressive you really suffer. I’ve died so many times because I can’t get a hit in against the more aggressive mobs and bosses. These things are awesome, I love the look and feel powerful pulling one off, but they do need casting poise severely bad or at least a cancel ability. Can’t really justify using these despite how much I love them. Went with a melee build instead and have been way more effective on bosses and mobs. Slower to finish encounters, but have higher wins.

  • Just a word of advice, in my experience named dragon incantations are significantly worse than unnamed ones, especially in pve, the named ones are incredibly cost ineffective as their damage/FP ratio is much worse and also they seem to apply less debuff buildup, also them not being usable on horseback and beibg slower is just the final nail, for PvP using them while jumping is useful in open areas so it’s more up to preference but if you’re mainly a PvE player do yourself a favour and use unnamed dragon incantations, you’ll do more damage and stack those powerfully debuffs that shred bosses much easier.

  • Disagree with these needing a buff, Dragon incantations are strong enough but they are high risk-high reward in most cases (magma shot exception here), Hollow did forget to mention that Placidusax’s gets and instant AoE hit around you when used (Damage being so strong and cast being so fast the incantation is actually banned in some PvP communities), Also don’t buff anything involving scarlet rot, status as a whole are already broken strong, we don’t need any more status applying stuff in the game. Magma Shot could use a buff though, to either cast time, damage, or both.

  • Theodorax magma is arguably one of the absolute worst. First off its bugged and doesn’t allow jump or air casting like the ability says similar to most other dragon spells that all have a flight version. It essentially is a maybe slightly stronger version of the other magma spell idk might even just be a carbon copy of it that cost more fp for no reason. This thing also has 0 range and as mentioned you can get interrupted very easy. It is a spell that is either REQUIRED to be used at point blank range or free aim lobbed at the enemy which prolly won’t end well. All that work for damage that frost breath and rot breath do 2x over. Also theres not much reason to use the air versions unless you plan to pvp, it has very little use in pve and is just wasting mana. Last little thing is that plasidusax is not a dragon communion spell although it might look like one. Dragon communion spells are specifically only ones gotten from a dragon shrine and no others are boosted specifically by the dragon seal. Frost breath easily beats out the magma in all situations but that would make for a boring article I guess.

  • I dont like any of them. the amount of damage they do compared to weapon builds is inferior at least in my experience. And the cast times leave you so vulnerable they just arent worth it. Nevertheless they look so cool. Maybe if they give them hyper armor or something or buff the scaling damage they might be super strong.

  • I realised this is a thing pretty late, i had 4 hearts and not know how to use them. The NPC already died in his story line, but u can use the altar regardless. Also, not sure if this is a thing, but the menu didnt come up for me at all until i rested till nightfall, then rested again. After that i was able to access the goodies finally.

  • I can use the church dragon with new issues but I can’t get my cathedral dragon communion to work (note my church worked without talking to the guy who helps you with the invasion) I tried talking to that same guy still can’t use the cathedral communion. PS a lot of YouTubers are using church/cathedral names interchangeably but they are two DIFFERENT locations. Glad to see you made that clear.
