Blogger The Domestic Heart shared a tip on Hometalk for creating a large, powerful version of the Magic Bullet with a home blender. Instead of spending $80-$200 on a personal-sized blender, you can create your own by unscrewing the blender pitcher from the cap with the blades, screwing it onto a standard mason jar, and going to work. This DIY method is cheaper than buying a box of Mason jars than a box with an equal number of Magic Bullet containers.
To make small batches of blended foods, simply unscrew the blender’s base/blades/gasket and screw them onto a simple canning jar. You can then use the same vessel for storage or consumption.
