Techniques For Doing Chakra Dhyana?

Mudras are hand gestures that activate specific elements or energy in the body. The five fingers represent the five elements, and the energy activation point lies on the fingertips. To perform Dhyana Mudra, place your feet shoulder-width apart, ensure a straight but relaxed spine, and slightly lower your chin to lengthen it. Breathe for at least twenty mindful breaths to relax your mind and focus on your meditation object.

To practice Dhyana Mudra, start by sitting comfortably and checking your posture. Breathe slowly in a relaxed manner, feeling your breath moving up and down when exhaling. Focus on the movement of your breath for twenty breaths. Next, go through each of the chakras, starting from the root chakra (Mooladhara) and moving upward to the crown in the head (Sahasrara).

In order to activate the seven energy centers or chakras located from the base of the spine to the crown of the head, practice this meditation together. Get comfortable by lying down on your back or sitting cross-legged with your back straight and your hands resting on your knees. Close your eyes, and direct your breath into each chakra. With each inhale, imagine breathing in vibrant, healing energy.

Start with the Mooladhara chakra, located at the perineum, midway between your anus and genitals. Say “Om Mooladhara” and visualize its red color. Take the Anjali Mudra to the top of your head with your fingers pointing upwards as you picture purple light and breathe deeply without chanting. This practice is essential for practicing Dhyana, a meditation technique that builds on the practice of asana, pranayama, pratyahara, and Dharana.
