Was Joe Roagan Instructed To Cease Discussing Conspiracies?

The controversy over Joe Rogan’s repeated use of the n-word on his podcast is more than racist language or cancel culture; it speaks to deeper issues. There have been calls for boycotts, and Rogan issued an apology for his past use of a racial slur and took down as many as 70 old episodes of his podcast. The effort Rogan was referring to is not about intercepting or screening private text messages, and there is no evidence the government is involved with it. Spotify has come under intense pressure to crack down on the spread of false information about COVID-19 on its platform, specifically on certain episodes of the podcast.

Medical and scientific experts have slammed Rogan’s track record of airing false claims about the coronavirus pandemic, vaccines, and unproven treatments. Jay Van Bavel fact-checked a conspiracy theory shared on Joe Rogan’s podcast and found no evidence to support it. The current debate over misinformation has become increasingly heated, with over a thousand health professionals calling on Spotify to crack down on COVID-19 falsehoods aired on the podcast of the company’s most popular podcaster, Joe Rogan.

In the ongoing match between podcasting giant Joe Rogan and the scientific consensus, popularity is a dangerous fixer. Spotify has not removed the “Joe Rogan Experience” episode with Alex Jones, which also remains available on YouTube and Apple Podcasts, despite a backlash on social media.

  • Joe is just the new Rush Limbaugh. It is funny that the thing that seems to finally be turning people against him isn’t that he’s been a funnel to the far right and conspericy loons for the past 8 years or that he’s just a bad person in general. It’s the fact that he’s not funny and never has been. Basically he had to become “cringe” for people to finally start caring about the other stuff.

  • I LOVED voting on Colorado. We got our ballots about a month before an election. I could sit down at home and go over every candidate or prop and research who and what I wanted to vote for! When I was done, I walked down the street and dropped it off in a secure box. Now in Texas, I have to go online and struggle to find what is even going to be on the ballot when I get to the polling booth, take off of work, and try to remember all the things I want to vote for.

  • One thing I’ve always noticed about him is that with the exception of gay marriage, Joe Rogan will typically agree with practically every guest he’s had, or at least respond like the other person is educating him on something and has facts behind what they’re saying. It doesn’t matter what side of the political spectrum they’re on. He may have voiced certain opinions in one interview, and he’ll have the complete opposite opinion in the next.

  • Mail-in voting is literally the only way some people can vote. Many of my clients are fully non-mobile, relying entirely on very large, heavy electric wheelchairs to move around. These chairs require specialized buses or vans for transport. Then there’s the reality of spending hours in a line to vote, stuck in a chair that is horribly uncomfortable, in an environment that exacerbates physical and mental conditions. They’d rather just stay home, and I don’t blame them. I had two clients tell me that mail-in ballots were the only reason they voted at all in the last two elections (WA state has had mail-in for a while), and that is huge. It makes me wonder how many other disabled voices are silenced by the barriers to voting that able-bodied folks don’t even consider.

  • When I registered to vote in my state, they said ‘hey, do you want to do permanent absentee?’ And I said yes please. It works well for me, I can research ballot measures and people I am unfamiliar with. The last time I voted in person was the 2016 presidential primary, which didn’t allow absentee ballots. I got the flu. I honestly thought I was going to die from it, and I felt so bad, I was actually ok with that solution. Never again.

  • I did an exit poll at an advance voting center. Also, my wife and I seemed to be in the minuscule minority of voters that agreed to be talked to. Also I remember 2004. Me and my roommate waited for half a day to vote. And 2000. It was like a whole fucking day. I’m in Columbus Ohio. It was a pain in the ass back then.

  • In Switzerland, we are registered where we live, and if we move, we need to let the Gemeindeamt know if we move to a new town. We are mailed our ballots with a ton of voting information, what each of the approximately 5 or 7 major parties think of the initiative to be voted on or the new law to be voted on the pros and the cons and how what the actual people in Parliament think they will vote. This voter packet comes around 30 days before the vote is finalized. One can read all through it, watch the discussions on SRF tv and fill out the forms and submit it to a dropbox in the town’s government office or mail it in. We seem to procrastinate a little and drop it off on the Saturday before the Sunday it’s the last day to vote. There is no one asking us on an exit pole how we voted, and the majority of the voters don’t think something fishy happened.

  • We here in Oregon have been voting by mail for 20+ years. I’ve never once went to a booth to cast a vote. Every time we vote we do it around the dinner table and discuss who and what measure benefits us and the people that our in our lives. Best way to vote. Shit let’s hand out national voting CAC cards and let’s do this shit over the internet. Use your social to vote.

  • The problem isn’t really “voter fraud”; the problem is election transparency. We had a committee that rehashed 1/6 in the name of transparency, and nothing was done. It is an easy enough thing to fix by posting the results online with your ballot number which you take home a stub from your ballot and just look to see how your vote was recorded. Will it eliminate all problems? No, but it would be a damned sight better than blind faith.

  • Emma is so spot on Needs to be a federal holiday Republicans have voters with better financial means and work flexibility Passing out water gets you arrested in Georgia while people stand in hours long lines in the southern heat Thank god its in November but climate change is making that not matter as much either Why would passing out water be a crime? Well then less people leave the line and they WANT people to NOT vote

  • If they actually cared about election integrity and people voting, they would do so much more towards making voting day a public holiday, opening up more voting centers, and most importantly: TO NOT GERRYMANDER DISTRICTS SO THAT IT’S JUST COUNTING BLOCKS OF AREAS INSTEAD OF PLAYING BOARD GAMES WITH HUMANS IN PLACE OF PIECES.

  • Why does Rogan waste time on idiotic conspiracy theories? A very famous Norwegian sketch from 1600s or so joke about a student using logic to make his mother believe she is a stone . Everyone think he is fun. But when he claims the earth is round he is ridicule . Rogan is both the mother, who though she was turning into a stone, and the student who treats idiotic logic games the same as science. It makes Rogan impotent as a source of fact . I hope my son read this ….

  • There is a very good reason for why we should worry about the exit polls that the new methodologies dont catch. Exit polls are the best way to catch election fraud. Exit polls were typically so accurate that we could tell when fraud had occured by comparing the polls with the actual results. For instance in 2004 in Ohio the exit polls were different from the results and we knew there was something wrong. Of course we did nothing about it so theres that but Im afraid the new methodologies wont allow us the level of accuracy that exit polls once did.

  • “People commit all kinds of fraud but not voter fraud. It’s sacred.” -Rogan sarcastically. He’s almost on to something but is too stupid to get it. People commit all kinds of financial fraud because there’s a clear incentive to do so. To personally gain money. People don’t commit voter fraud, not because it’s sacred but because there’s no incentive to do it. Because the risk far outweighs any potential reward and the reward is essentially nonexistent. No one is risking 5 years in prison to cast 1 meaningless extra vote that isn’t going to make a bit of difference in the outcome. Even if you could vote 100 times you’re still not going to come close to changing the outcome of a presidential election. Most of the country doesn’t even care enough to vote, period. The rest aren’t so invested in some politician they’ve never met that they’re going to risk years in prison to cast a meaningless fraudulent vote that has no effect on the outcome. The likelihood of getting caught is too high for anyone to risk committing a felony that isn’t going to benefit you or anyone else in any way.

  • People misunderstand Rogan. He’s not an influencer; he’s an avatar. He’s a canary in the coal mine. If he buys some dumb theory or some dumb fad, it’s a clear indicator that a large swath of a certain type of person will buy into it as well. He represents every person in this country who is convinced they are smarter than they are; people who think that the appearance of asking questions is actual critical thought. HIs success comes largely from the fact that he is a reflection of a certain cavalier, paranoid ignorance. Of course he believes this theory, because it sounds complex; it sounds like he’s privy to secret knowledge, and therefor he is special.

  • @5:32 the crazy guy with the poodle on his head says something that would blow his mind wide open if he knew anything about US electoral history…. The US was founded on the following principles: We (landowning/wealthy white men) don’t want most people to vote at all; we don’t any regular citizen to vote for the President, Vice President, or their US Senator. We want to count the people who are not allowed to vote and use those numbers to give those that can (white landowning/wealthy men) more power; if we allow the commoners (white men) to vote, they can only vote for a party and cannot vote for individual candidates…. It took TWO CENTURIES for this country to almost have a system where nearly every citizen could theoretically vote. For many decades in some areas of this country a voter could not vote for a party of their choice, they were handed a ballot by the dominant political party and they simply put that prefilled out ballot (called a “ticket”) into a box… if they wanted to vote for the other party, well good luck with that! Some states still allow a version of this called “straight-ticket voting” where there is a box at the top of the ballot to choose a specific party, no need to even look at the rest of the ballot. Luckily this is now voluntary and the voter should be able to ignore that and check candidates individually if they want. The bottom line is that how we vote now and how we will vote in the future are absolutely not what the founders of this country wanted; that is called PROGRESS.

  • I’ve been voting for 50 years and have never been polled or anything close. maybe because in my State we don’t appear to count to most political polls, i think the State went red twice, Eisenhower & Reagan. we were the only State that didn’t vote for Nixon. I don’t remember Eisenhower (baby) and I actually detest Reagan – he cost me a house & different life, our polling places that i’ve been to have been relaxed in the past but i’ve been voting by mail for a bit

  • Dear Joe (and Tim P., and David, etc.), with your undeserved wealth you could easily afford to hire real experts on your show to speak on issues like voter fraud, health, foreign affairs, etc. but that would require you possessed the intellect and integrity to do so. Do better, Joe. Or better yet, don’t do anything- just stop. Frustratingly, Rob

  • Im starting to think none of you watched joe rogan and only agree with these people because they really didnt say anything that was true joe rogan doesnt push people any direction he in fact pushes people yo make their own decisions im sure ill get hate because im “defending” him but hes a comedian he takes all the stuff hes told and turns them into jokes im just starting to think people are getting more and more closed minded

  • I enjoy some of Rogans content, mostly his older stuff and I find he can be quite insightful and open minded but I do not know whether the crazy tin foil hat part is an act, he did call out candace and her craziness on climate change once. I am open to some conspiracy theories but others are a bridge too far and either some people are really gullibal or their “belief” is financially motivated

  • Jre was good up until he got his Spotify deal and covid. Ever since 2019/2020 his episodes are just empty. Theyre the same conversations recycled over and over he doesnt dive deep into anything anymore. His questions and inquiries are soft and shallow. Hes gotten rich and content and a little lazy. Which is fine thats what big money can do. But i seriously dont see how his podcast will last another 10 years. Theres only a couple guests i actually listen to when theyre on. But joe himself has become shallow and theres no longer much to listen to. I swear there are times ill try to listen to a new episode and its the exact same as the last one i tried to listen to. Same topics. Same empty opinions. The guests are boring

  • Rogan is just too stupid for words. I have no idea why anyone looks to him for wisdom or knowledge. 🤷🏼‍♀️ I did a mail in ballot back in 1976 because my due date was late October. I was quite happy that I was allowed to as my son was born ON Election Day that year. The tired old idea of in person voting is the “only way to do it” is absolutely ridiculous and mediaeval ffs. 🤦‍♀️

  • Yes, Rogan is a douche. But his fans are the real problem. I’ll give it to him – somehow, a barely average actor & comedian, from a 2nd tier role on one successful show, found a niche as an announcer in what would become fight-porn for a sect of aggrieved young men who found pro sports both too difficult to understand & not violent enough… and then somehow parlayed all that into a podcasting career. Still, it’s the willfully ignorant audience of his that’s the real threat.

  • Turn off children’s internet and smartphones and put them back on bicycles and playing outside together. Take them on a bike ride to the park or fishing instead of handing them a smartphone and telling them not to bother you.. parents need to get back to actually being parents instead of using flat screens to hypnotize and babysit ✌️

  • I pulled my girl out of a new high school that had an assembly about how it’s okay to change what you are and how they can make the choice there. I noticed how the kids all started to change after that as they got off the bus stops every week, and it progressively got worse, so Ever since I pulled her out she’s been fine.

  • I’m a 68 year old homosexual male who is appalled at this trans ‘culture’ and consider it psychosis. Such radical misinterpretation of reality is psychotic. Psychosis is a system and people within that system feel that what they believe is very rational. I feel sorry for these lost children of America.

  • My (now deceased) ex wife encouraged our teenage son to become a female. She was mentally unstable and addicted to pain killers. She told him she always wanted a daughter. He was so desperate for her attention anymore that he would be the martyr and become a girl. Thank you to my personal god that I was there to fight for him and his future. 4 years later he doesn’t bring it up and is dating girls. She died from an overdose.

  • My friends teenager was gay, then bi, then non-binary, then changed her name, and now that she’s an adult, she’s very heterosexual and has been in a relationship with a man for 3 years. She got attention when she claimed all of these things. If I’d made a noise about my gender as a kid? My parents would have clipped me round the ear and told me to get a grip. Parents these days validate every whim of their kids and it damages them psychologically.

  • A former coworker adopted two girls from China years ago when China was doing the one child program. One was just an infant but the other was around 5. The older one along with other girls in her group of fellow Chinese girls decided they wanted to be boys. I tried explaining to my friend that it was a result of being thrown away in China and to get her psychiatric help. Her whole thing was if I had just been born a boy my parents would have loved me and wouldn’t have given me away. Now she’s a boy but is still mentally screwed up and will be for the rest of her life. Sad

  • our small community school had one girl claim she was trans, got loads of attention by the school. Of course, a huge population of girls at the school started claimed the same; they were trans. When the original girl left the school for secondary, on their own, almost every single girl went back to their original identity. Interesting

  • My daughters both thought they were gay, because it was “in” at school. I thought that was crazy but “accepted” it. One of my daughters has a boyfriend for 2 yrs. now & the other has a “boy” friend. Silly social media and peer pressure to be “in” is incredible. All their girl friends also thought they were gay. Insane.

  • When people say they wouldn’t let their child get a tattoo because they aren’t mature enough, but then claim a child can decide whether to irreversibly modify their body to fit a gender expression, that’s as sure as sign as any that there wasn’t any deep thought that went into that viewpoint. Shallow-minded people are simply doing what society is telling them to do.

  • I am a Social Worker who has specialised in Trauma, Complex Trauma, Mental Health and associated symptomolgy, with 20+ years experience. I have spent most of my career working and supporting individuals, couples, families…children, youth and adults in various roles. I am 56 years old and worked mostly in the Northern Territory of Australia……I agree with Dr Phil in this instance…the advancement in technology and in particular the internet has had a huge neurological impact upon our communities younger generations. In a very short space of time.

  • Social contagion. Dr. Phil is spot on. It happened in 1965 when the Beatles hit the USA and teenagers were consumed with this “social contagion” called the British Invasion of rock and roll music. You weren’t considered cool if you didn’t listen to their music, wear long hair, and Beatle boots. Yeah, that was a thing back then. It happened in the late 1970s when all the cool kids were listening to disco music and if you wanted to be part of the cool crowd, you listened to disco music and the “disco contagion” spread across the world. It happened in 2019 with the COVID scare. Once again, people were branded as outcasts and heretics if they did not conform to the “social pressures” and conformity of wearing a mask and getting vaccinated. Families were ripped apart, businesses were forced to close, people lost their jobs, houses, cars, and were humiliated and shamed in social media if they dared question the efficacy of the COVID vaccinations being forced on society. Once again, this was all initiated and instigated by social media platforms and used as a weapon against independent thought.

  • This is why I don’t want it around my daughters. It’s hard enough growing up nowadays. I don’t need anybody telling them in the chop off their body parts or grow one to make them fit in or be more beautiful than they already are. This is a war against my children and yes it is contagious. I don’t want it anywhere near my kids

  • There’s definately a social contagion aspect to this…schools have lgbtq clubs, support groups, special days, accomodations…you’re pretty well a hero and get all kinds of love and attention if you declare you’re trans. Imagine the impact on an attention hungry tween. schools are an effin factory production floor.

  • This was experienced ar a local high school in my city … one girl in the class said she was trans and within a couple of weeks, several girls claimed the same thing also. The school handled it pretty well – had to follow department guidelines but basically agreed to call them by their boy names, let them use a special toilet but didn’t give them any other special treatment. None of the girls transitioned. The following year, the girls admitted it was just experimenting and they went on to resume their normal lives. The first girl is still serious about transitioning.

  • I’m 43 and never fathered any children of my own, until now, I lived by a belief that bringing a child into this world today is cruel, now that I am about to be a real dad I am terrified of what the world will hold for my child, I don’t wish to isolate my child but at the same time I feel that it would be best to keep a few of the old school ideals on earth.

  • When I was a kid at school, one Kid got a pair of Nike Air Jordan’s, then all the other kids felt under pressure to ‘join the group’ and get expensive sneakers. I now feel ashamed of pressuring my parents into buying me a (then) £125 pair of Reebok Pump Hi-Tops. Purely to keep up with the ‘Cool kids’…but I’d feel a lot more ashamed if I made them pay to get my junk cut off 😂

  • Children have SO much development to go through. They make a lot of mistakes, but they are incredibly curious and they will take risks. Their emotional development is so fragile, and their desire to be noticed, considered and empowered is astounding. If you give the child something the others don’t have, they feel way more important. You raise their confidence. Children who don’t have a strong support system at school or at home, are more vulnerable to those feelings. If an adult tells the more vulnerable child he or she can change who they are – to be true to who they really are, and to become more important.. a ‘stronger person’, that child will jump at the chance.

  • I am a clinical psychiatrist and, unfortunately, “Dr. Phil” ignored Joe Rogan’s very insightful question: “Do you think it’s because there are people that are queer or LGBT and they want other people to be a part of their group…that they think has been suppressed?” The correct answer is absolutely YES.

  • My daughter is 13, I have no say at the doctor’s office. I say BS! I pay the insurance. I say what happens! Until the Gov starts paying for the insurance I say what happens. Then the BS on social media is stupid. Kids are doing crap that’s just stupid! How many times did you drink a cup of Tide growing up? Not once because we knew better. We would get a smack upside the head. Then asked what’s wrong with you?

  • Thanks for airing this episode. We’re dealing with that here, in Alberta, Canada. Our Premier wants to disallow life altering surgeries such as these until the age of 18, for the exact same reason being talked about here. By that age, young adults have a better understanding of the seriousness of this type of decision and the consequences should they subsequently feel differently. I’m totally for not allowing minors to make such drastic decisions about their body…can’t believe there’s even an argument for allowing it.

  • When I was 8 years old I was same size as an older female cousin. One summer my mom and grandmom made her dresses for the next school year and used me for the fitting model. I hated it of course and threatened my little sister with violence if she yold anyone. I can’t imagine a boy wanting to wear a dress in public. Times sure are weird.😊

  • I have seen kids with influence over other kids, at school, pushing this. But the REASON for that is a child who is transitioning (temp/perm) is isolated, but if they have ANY social power over their peers, they will, in an attempt to be less alone, try to get their peers to question and experiment. But ultimately it is for the transitioning child to alleviate their loneliness by pushing this onto other kids.

  • I drove past a school and seen rainbow flags in a window. I watched a movie with my 6 year old daughter, a commercial plays and shows intimate lgbtq, then my daughter starts asking me funny questions. When i was in school i had a gay math teacher. He never posted any flags or spoke of orientation. A perfect gentleman and an amazing teacher. It should not be a topic in a classroom. It should not be displayed with material items by a person in a position that can influence a child.

  • I see it… I have a coworker who has 4 kids.. born as 3 girls and a boy. The oldest, a freshman in HS, claims to be nonbinary, the second is 13, and claims transgender, so I am expecting anytime to hear the 12 and 8 years olds to be something else. All 4 kids look like Pat from SNL. There’s no way that something isn’t influencing them.

  • I consider myself very liberal but fully share dr Phil’s stance. I don’t even care how kids express themselves, or experiment. But hormones and surgery – I dont even want some adults to be so hasty! If gender is a construct, then ultimately no one should be aiming for the “other” gender. But at least once you’re an adult it’s no different than other elective or plastic surgeries. Not everyone’s cup of tea but doesn’t matter, it’s yours!

  • I sometimes wanted to be a boy when I was a child. Because I had many interests like boys, liked to dress like a boy…. wanted to be strong. Nobody cared. So I did. And years later after puberty I liked beeing a girl, liked to dress like a girl, and liked to date boys. Thank god my parents and teachers DIDN’T encourage me to BE a boy and take hormones and stuff. 🙏

  • You’re 11 and at school, your peers start appearing with piercings and tattoos everywhere, only to join the “cool” kids. At that age and with that type of magical pressure, you would automatically do whatever’s in your power to get what they’ve gotten. A lot of the time, you’ll get it using specific guidance from them. This is when your parents start losing those battles, and with the stress of life in America, they basically give up trying to protect you against yourself. Because it’s either that, or they lose everything else from getting thrown in jail.

  • A detransitioner wrote a very interesting book about ROGD (rapid onset gender dysphoria in girls) called “Irreversible Damage” which a LOT of activists have tried to discredit and get cancelled. There’s so much internalised sexism and homophobia in this movement, it’s all about control. My heart goes out to genuine trans people just trying to live their lives.

  • My entire childhood I was a tomboy, if I could convince my parents and all the adults around me I wanted to be transgender (a boy) I could, I was boy through and through, all I ever wanted to be was a boy! That changed for me and I’m glad it did, I’m now a wife and a Mother of two beautiful children.

  • When I was in high-school, I had a teacher that commented once about her worries about cable TV, and how it basically decided what we should watch, at specific hours, instead of perusal what we wanted, whenever we wanted to. And for some reason, that comment stuck with me. That was about 2007, when youtube was kinda new, still growing, and there were no other kind of sosial media we have today like insta or ticktock.. And now, we have the freedom to basically watch/read/research whatever we want, but we mostly end up perusal random reels on an app that pretty much keeps us trapped in a loop… My teacher had no interaction with the internet back then, but I think she kinda predicted we would get where we are now, mostly based on what she new about cable TV.

  • When all of this really started to take off I reminded my youngest child who is still in school (the other’s are grown ups) that when she was a little younger she had her hair cut short and that some people thought she was a boy, which she wasn’t impressed with. I told her to remember this if anyone tried getting her to think that maybe she’s a boy just because she doesn’t want to dress all girly and frilly, she a girl who is just happy in jeans!

  • I’m a 45 year old gay man. I fought for the rights we enjoy today. And it’s about time that we acknowledge that there is no “LGBT” community. Lesbians, Gay Men, Bisexual people, and transgendered people have almost nothing intrinsically in common except for the fact that we’re all something other than straight. That doesn’t make for a community. My sexual orientation is the least interesting thing about me, just like everyone else. It certainly doesn’t form the basis of my identity.

  • My daughter was listening to the BS and said she felt she was trans. I didn’t agree nor did her mom because she was the most girly girl ever as a small child. Puberty naturally gives some teens a form of body dismorphia. There’s a book her pediatrician recommended called the keeping and caring of you for kids going through puberty. I highly recommend it. She stopped even mentioning it after a few conversations we had questioning her choices and she couldn’t answer. If any kid chooses to stay on topic and transition they shouldn’t be allowed to do so until they’re an adult. 🤷

  • Social media does not make people gay, bi or trans. That said, if you were to require people to be 18 before they could be allowed to undergo any type of gender changing procedure, you would still see the same number of them electing to do so. If you really want to know why it seems that there are more people comfortable coming out, it’s because those same kids in my generation were pulled out of school by their parents for being different or they were bullied, beaten, killed by classmates or other members of the community. Fear makes a lot of people hide who they are and that’s the sad truth. People like Rogan and Phil should know better.

  • My 13 year old niece reached out to me one day telling me that she was trans and suggested I call her by her new name. I refused to call her by that name but instead just referred to her as “darling”. She changed her mind a few months later 😒 She’s in college now and she’s still a young lady (obviously) but that just goes to show how much a she was indoctrinated and socially pressured into believing this weird lie that she was actually a boy.

  • My daughter thought that she wanted to transition when she was 11 yrs old. She absolutely hated her body, especially her breasts. She also thought that she was a lesbian at 12 yrs old, depressed and cutting herself at 11-12 yrs old and pan-sexual at 13 yrs old. She would dress in baggy boy clothing to cover her body and look more masculine. She tried everything to hide her breasts, even binding them with ace wraps. Today, at 14 yrs old, she is very feminine and dating a boy. I let her ride out those waves and support her, but of course not to any major extreme. Teenagers change there mind like the wind. Even with something as serious as there sexual identification. She will tell anyone that asks that the internet had A LOT to do with the thoughts she was having about here sexuality. Going to the gym and changing her diet made the world of a difference for her. She found confidence that she never had before and her mind was much healthier. I truly believe that social media is trying to ruin our children. Don’t give up parents!

  • I remember being a kid and many girls “wishing they were boys”. They weren’t transgender. Wishing you were the opposite gender because you have romanticized ideas of what it would be like or fetishized the idea of it and actually having gender dysphoria is different. Actual gender dysphoria is really really rare. As rare as body dysmorphia (where people want to amputate limbs etc) if not rarer

  • With the prevalence and disturbing variety of pornography (image of what being a woman involves), on top of many girls’ discomfort with the thought of periods when they’ve never had them (which has always been a thing for many girls), leads to avoidance of being a girl. I worked with children for 40 years and these are real issues.

  • I think the reason there’s such a surge in girls becoming trans is because of internalized misogyny. Like many other girls, I went through a phase where I rejected everything feminine because I always got the message that girly things are bad and dumb and boy things are cool. Had I been born 15 years later Lord knows what I would’ve done with that feeling.

  • 24 year old male if that amounts to anything, most likely not, but my mother did not let me get my ears pierced until I turned 16 or was told to wait until 18 to do it. Point being, there were rules in place and if I did not follow them; there would be consequences. Now; my question is where did the consequences go? They’ve found them in life altering situations where they thought the end product was happier and more fulfilling. If the parental ruling consequence didnt get you, the life altering effects will FOR SURE!

  • Being a young girl was always a lot more work than we admit. Being a boy is hard too. Girls gotta learn make-up & hairdos, fashion and body-care.. A five year old could not handle having periods and the hygienenic effort that costs. But now we are deferring adulthood for as long as possible. Kids are doing their best not to grow up fully as teens. But still appear grown-up.. Boys domt get taught to build muscle and eat healthy. Ibwanna be clear, my dad beat us severely. It was illegal by my time, but we didn’t know. We were kept frm the internet and laws etc & groomed by my mom to never tell what goes on at home. In turn, we were pulled from karate when the coaches asked why we are so scared to get hit and why we cry etc, when we think we’d get hit. Our teen boys got weak for a while. The Beatles? PinknFloyd? These were famous ppl. For what? So teens, especially girls; I’ve seen this, see being boys as easier than being girls. Its instant acceptance. I’ve seen it. Men aren’t punching each other as often & girls are seeing it as easier to act and dress like a boy. Not to say that it’s one size-fits-all, but I know some transcends personally andnthere is a huge difference between experiencing full blown gender-identity confusion or taking the easiest way forward.

  • More than one thing is true at the same time. Representation matters to those that are already questioning or know they’re LGBTQIA+. Also, I’m in my 40’s and remember all of the conveniently bisexual girls that were just trying to be edgy. But the queer boys were just getting bullied, period. If being Trans is an edgy trend for some people, kids included, go with it until the changes are physical. Different name? Fine. Different pronouns, hair, clothes, makeup? Sure. Hormones? Maybe not unless there’s truly dysphoria. That’s not easy to fake. Surgery? No. Not until you’re18. Then, do you. And i love you no matter what. Common sense without judging. ☺

  • If I was living in todays world and not the time I grew up in the 50’s and 60’s, they would have turned me into a boy, becausevif asked, I would have told them I wanted to be a boy. Every night at the supper table, my dad told me I wad supposed to be a boy because they already had two girls. I tried to be the best boy I could be. I was a tomboy, to please my dad, but realized I wanted to be a mom later on. They are not allowing these children to grow out of their desires.

  • to quote House, M.D. “Monkey see, monkey do.” I think it’s not really surprising that when a kid, who even might be transgender for real, gets all the attention and drama that undoubtedly surrounds their transition – a portion of other kids want to get a taste of that clout and want to undergo transition as well, because they are not capable of making life-long decisions. Because they’re kids. This shit should be illegal and parents who allow their kids to do this shit are idiots who shouldn’t have had children in the first place, they’re obviously incapable of making adult decisions for their kids.

  • I lost all respect for the so called doctor Phil whenever he said that he doesn’t care if a woman attacks the man ( even with a weapon), he can never ever put his hands on her back. Even if she chases his, attacking him violently. He must run away as fast as he can in his own house. And run down the street or hide behind a locked door. He literally said ” I don’t care what she does. ” Taking all accountability away from pos women, who abuse others. It was disgusting. And his whole audience stood up and clapped for that sickening garbage.

  • Remember the stories of a random girl getting pregnant in HS and the next thing you know 5 more are pregnant? I do. Not all, but most young people don’t under life long consequences. A week is like a yr to them. Its not just that some of them want to be part of the IT crowd, but and especially boys are hearing how much women hate men, despise them. How toxic they are. If you could become a girl and not be toxic anymore, maybe you might give it a go. If your mother talks about how she hates men and wishes she’d had a girl and then everyone is saying YOU CAN BE a girl, maybe you would say you’re a girl, so that your mother wouldn’t hate you. Its sick and its going to cause mental health problems for years to come.

  • All gender affirming care administered to children is completely reversible except for one thing…the voice. Once puberty ends, a person is stuck with whatever voice depending on the choices made. No children are “having their genitals chopped off”. This man knows this, or at least he should if he is going to pretend to be any type of authority on this subject.

  • I always felt like I should have been a boy from as long as I remember until my 40s. I didnt need to be trans though. I hated having a female body due to an abusive childhood which led to eating disorders, body shame, unable to wear swim suits and feeling humiliated when males humiliated me for having boobs so i wanted to cut them off. I still didn’t think any thing more because I was never brain washed. I was just abused and hated myself

  • Part of the reason, in my opinion, is that the picture of “girl” is toxic. So many of us don’t fit and it would be easier to think we should be boys. I was such a girl, but trangender hadn’t been “invented” yet. I was very tall and called fat because I was broad and square sholdered, muscular, strong. I wasn’t into fashion or cosmetics, that much. And even now there is pressure for females to assume certain occupations, partly because they are still taught not to like math, science, etc.

  • It’s all for attention….acting out in order to get attention. No one affirmed them in their gender which is the job of the father and mother. I had parents who picked at me, made fun of me and pointed out everything wrong with me, 2 narcissists. So of course I spent 50 yrs of my life struggling with identitiy and self worth issues, self doubt and fell for lots of BS. Thank God I never gave up and continued to believed in myself. These are survivor qualities, God put the truth in each of us, we have to weed out the lies and get back to our true selves.

  • Its big money for doctors! Come on! Not hard to figure out! Like vaccines were for pharmaceutical companies, transitioning children is big, guaranteed profit for the doctors involved. But the ones i blame even beyond that, are the school teachers who recommend it and the parents who are so disconnected they go along with it

  • Anorexia and bolimia are social contagions. That’s accepted, non-controversial medical science. Both are vigorously discouraged at schools and elsewhere, while genuine sufferers are given the profrssional help that they need before they do themselves life-altering, or even life-ending harm. Why not suddenly this issue?

  • Growing up I was always into boy stuff, playing outside in the mud, dirt bikes, sports ect, I always felt like a black sheep between my family and friends and never felt like a fit in but THANK GOD they never pushed anything on me as a child and put stuff in my mind, turns out I was just a tom boy, not every girl has to like girly things not every boy needs to like boy things but dont ever confuse a child or put ideas in there head especially when they have always preached to us that a persons brain isnt fully developed until mid 20’s so why dont you let your kid be a kid and let them make an adult decision about their body when they are legal to do so.

  • Children don’t know crap, they talk each other into having autism and A.D.D. for goodness sake, I remember telling my friends I had M.P.D. and acting crazy because they loved their crazy friend, I gave myself a complex, and then others followed my antics, now I see my daughter and her friends do the same thing, and I realize that it’s just an unhealthy part of growing up, so to let people who literally are still in a fantasy world make life altering decisions is truly evil and stupid. I sure am glad my parents didn’t put me on anti psychotics when I thought being crazy was cool.

  • I’ve noticed that whenever I see a group of trans people there is always one ring leader. They usually are one or two years older or more and they always have this dominant personality. Everyone in the group fallows them, they look up to them. It reminds me of a relationship sex workers have with a pimp

  • Ask yourself this: Do you think it’s okay for girls to do boy things and how do we describe that identity? Answer is typically, “Yeah, sure. We call them Tomboys.” Now……: Do you think it’s okay for boys to do girl things and how do we describe that identity? Answer is typically, “Not really, boys need to be boys. We would call that ‘gay'”. Let that sink in when it comes to the treatment of children that find enjoyment in certain activities that go against the social norms of gender role play.

  • Years ago I read some of Ted Kaczynski’s writing. What he did was horrible and wrong. But his conclusions about the effects of the Industrial Revolution and technology have been shockingly accurate. He saw all this coming and I believe he lost his mind because he didn’t know how to stop our self destruction. In a twisted way he wanted to save humanity. The rates of depression, suicide, school shootings, random and domestic violence are at all time highs since the creation of social media. Kaczynski was also experimented on at Harvard thru the same people who ran MK Ultra. This was an attempt to control members of the public to commit acts like assassanations without ties to the government thru drugs and behavior modification. He was subjected to what we would call “social engineering” and torture. It involved things like constant negative reinforcement, making him strip and making fun of his body, screaming at him, hitting him, socially isolation, dunking him in ice water, ect. This really messed with Kaczynski in particular because he was only 14 when he started college. There are some similarities between McVeigh and Kaczynski. They were both labeled as just “crazy”. because then everyone dismisses everything you say. They both saw dark things happening and followed the wrong path to stop it but that doesn’t mean their conclusions about technology and government weren’t real. If they had focused on positive change they might have improved things. Instead they just hurt or killed innocent people.

  • In other words the progressive activists, who are few, carry more influence than the silent majority. And getting worse because of social media. We have seen this play out for the last five or more years but it is fair to say it has hurt the country most right now. The question is whether the country has declined enough for the average citizen to understand that, shed the propaganda and fight it.

  • O Lord our God please protect our little children and our teenagers from satan and those who follow him, we Christians do need their guidance and protection from the evilness and wickedness of this world and please keep us Christians and our little children and teenagers in your Blessings and in your Grace and in your Mercy, in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, Amen.

  • I listened to why you moved to Texas so you could be part of a group. Think of what went into the change you made. It was a big choice correct but right down why. You feel more comfortable in Texas than California. I don’t know the reasons why the kids do it but 15 years ago if I said you would move to Texas you might say I was crazy. Everyone elevates to groups. Just a thought. It’s the only thing this electronic age we are in has genuinely created. Groups Again, I don’t have any exact answers but this seems to be a larger movement in many areas of all our lives.

  • The field of social contagion has been repeatedly criticized for lacking a clear and widely accepted definition … and for sometimes involving work that does not distinguish between contagion and other forms of social influence … or from the otherwise also diffuse concept of homophily. Certain types of collective behavior are better understood by emergent norm theory or convergence theory, rather than by social contagion…

  • I did this comment on the fly the other day. And sometimes i’m in a hurry I don’t proof read. I came back Do this article and look at my comment. I’m gonna redo it. The problem is there’s so much information out there now. The water and food are loaded with chemicals not present in the food supply from previous generations. The hormone imbalances found in people. There finding nano plastic particles in human tissue. And if that wasn’t enough, the crap on TV, the re-education camps which range from pre-school all the way to our universities have been introducing to the public, ideas meant to create confusion. It’s an overload of dangerous ideas meant to create divisiveness and resentment. A country divided shall fall.

  • In most countries you need to be 18 for surgery first off. I’m not a fan of any surgery personally, I wouldn’t want for my wife or daughter to get implants either. But it is a personal choice and one an adult has the right to make. As far as children who are developing goes, it’s another story; but if you were to check the suicide rate of youth who feel they are not in the right gender, throughout history; you would want at least conversations to be happening, and help/services being available for these kids; to feel safe working through those feelings. Till at least they reach age to decide what they want to do with their own body ✌🏼🙏🏼
