Ways To Perform The Sri Chakra Abhishekam?

The Shiva Abhishekam is a significant ritual in Hinduism, where worshipers praise the god Shiva by offering various liquids such as Gangaa water, milk, ghee, honey, rose-water, coconut water, sandal paste, Panchaamrit, scented oil, sugarcane juice, and more. This ritual can be used for various purposes, including strengthening planets, balancing karma, prosperity, blessings for a cause, removal of inner/outer negativity, and relationships.

To perform the Abhishekam at home, one needs a Shiva Linga made of Pancha Dhatu or Ashta Dhatu or Brass. The Shiva Linga should be placed on a brass or copper plate. The process of performing the Abhishekam involves surrendering to the deity of one’s choice and the energy and power it exudes.

Sri Chakra Puja is an important practice in Hinduism, with the procedure for doing Abhishekam to Sri Chakra found in mantras provided in the document. The worship of Sri Chakra should be done at home only after initiation by a Sri Vidya Guru. There are two methods of performing the Abhishekam: the Bahiryagam and Antaryagam methods.

The Sri Yantra should be worshipped daily with sandal paste and coral mala, along with lighting incense and decorating with marigold flowers. In the Bahiryagam, the Meru Chakra is worshipped, while in the Antaryagam, the nine Shree Chakra Poojas or Yantra Poojas worship a deity in a diagrammatic form. This type of worship exists in many parts of the world and is performed in front of Sri Siva Kameswari.

Yantras are aids to meditation, representing the deity the object of meditation. They are typically geometric shapes radiating from the central point, the bindu, and often include a square representing the four cardinal directions. A popular form is the Sri Chakra, which represents the goddess Tripura Sundari and Shiva, and is designed to show the totality of creation and existence. Yantras can be on a flat surface or three-dimensional, and can be drawn, painted, or engraved on paper, metal, or any flat surface. They are smaller in size than mandalas and traditionally have less color.

Occult yantras are used as good luck charms, ward off evil, preventative medicine, and in exorcism due to their magical power. They are traditionally consecrated and energized by a priest, using mantras closely associated with the specific deity and yantra. Practitioners believe that a yantra that is not energized with a mantra is lifeless. In Sri Lankan Buddhism, practitioners are required to have the yantra of the deity with them once the deity has shown acceptance of their prayer.

Which God is the Sri Chakra?

Sri Chakra, also known as the Divine Mother, is the supreme body of Shiva and Shakti, compared to a human body. The Uttara Bhag of Lalita Trishati provides a comprehensive explanation of Sri Chakra, which is full of life and energy and should be worshipped with great reverence. The book has three sections: “Journey to Sri Chakra”, which elaborately deals with Sri Nagara, the outer portion of Sri Chakra, and the journey to the innermost triangle.

The journey begins with worshipping various gods, goddesses, sages, and saints, passing through rivers, ponds, forests, and gardens. After traversing through Sri Nagara, we reach the innermost triangle, where we are completely purified. Inside the triangle, we have darshan of Lalitambika, who takes us to Shiva in the Bindu for liberation.

The second section of the book deals with Navavarana Puja, explaining every aspect of mantras using references from Lalita Sahasranama and other sacred Scriptures. This section is a complete guide to perform Navavarana puja, providing mantras, images, explanations, and detailed procedures.

The third and final section is Bhavanopanishad, which means imagination or formation of a concept in the mind. It contains thirty-seven verses (sutras) and detailed interpretations for all sutras. The entire book consists of both Sanskrit and English texts, with an IAST format for those not conversant with Sanskrit. This book can be acclaimed as an encyclopedia of Sri Chakra.

Who is the god of Chakra?

The Chakra, a central concept in ancient meditation practices, is a petal lotus of “Essential nature” in esoteric Buddhism, corresponding to the second state of Four Noble Truths. The concept of the chakra originated in Hinduism, with beliefs varying between Indian religions. Early Sanskrit texts discussed chakras as meditative visualizations combining flowers and mantras and as physical entities in the body. In Kundalini yoga, techniques like breathing exercises, visualizations, mudras, bandhas, kriyas, and mantras focus on manipulating the flow of subtle energy through chakras.

The modern Western chakra system emerged from various sources, including H. P. Blavatsky and other Theosophists, Sir John Woodroffe’s 1919 book The Serpent Power, and Charles W. Leadbeater’s 1927 book The Chakras. It also includes psychological attributes, rainbow colors, and correspondences with other systems such as alchemy, astrology, gemstones, homeopathy, Kabbalah, and Tarot.

Why is Sri Chakra Pooja done?

SriChakra Navaavarana Pooja is a profound and secretive form of Devi worship, involving a complex method of enchanting and powerful realization of the Mother through sound and form. Vedic scriptures claim that a mere sight of the SriChakra can wash away sins and grant auspiciousness. The nine Aavaranas or enclosures of the SriChakra are called ‘Navaavarana’. The Supreme Mother, Sri Lalitha Maha Tripura Sundari, dwells at the central point of the SriChakra, where the Goddess merges with Lord Shiva, known as the Shiva-Shakthi Aikya.

The process of SriChakra Navavarana Pooja involves progressing through the nine Aavaranas, ultimately reaching the Bindu, where the Supreme Mother resides. The SriChakra is not only a symbol of Devi but also a miniature representation of the universe and human body, containing all Deities and radiating divine energy beyond description.

  • Once Sri Ramakrishna Paramhansa worshiped her wife Sri Sri Maa Sarada Devi on falharini new moon night as Maa Soroshi or Tripura Sundari and called her as Saraswati or Sarada the third of das mahavidya. After this historic event, the Ramakrishna mission celebrates it as soroshi Puja night by worshipping the holy mother. So, those who don’t have Sri yantra or have not been initiated by guru diksha simply call her saying oh mother I want to do your puja, please let me. Offer flowers to her photo. I can say strongly if you have true faith in her, you will definitely find a way. May the holy mother bless you 🙏🙏🙏

  • Thank you so much for this. I have a doubt. I have placed a Lakshmi-Kuber idol in the southwest corner of our house with the idol facing north. I have been told this is the correct placement for kuber. Now I have bought a Shree Meru Yantra and want to place it. You have said we should place it in North East. But Lakshmi-Kuber idol is there in Southwest of our home. So where to place it? Can we place the Shree Meru Yantra in front of the Lakshmi-Kuber idol? Please guide.
