What Distinguishes Divination From Prophecy?

The primary purpose of a prophetic word is not to tell about your future and blessings, but to reveal the plan and purpose of God concerning your life. The King James Study Bible defines divination as “the false use of means to discover the divine will”. A large percentage of what is operating in the church today in the name of prophecy is divination, which is of the kingdom of the spirit of divination.

The Old Testament prophet believed in a personal God, while divination is a spirit of falsehood and deceit, not the Holy Spirit (Mic 2:11). There is no enchantment against Jacob or any divination against Israel (Num 23:23). God was in a state of enchantment, and God was in a state of enchantment.

Divination is the general term for various techniques to communicate with the supernatural to gain access to special knowledge. In the temple and royal courts of Mesopotamia, prophecy always lagged behind divination in status, authority, and prevalence. The attitude of the Bible toward divination is generally hostile, as represented by Deuteronomy 18:10, where the prophet of Yahweh is contrasted with the prophet of Yahweh.

In general, prophecy has to do with predicting the future by supernatural means, while divination has to do with examining different kinds of spirits and demons. Diviners and prophets may appear the same, but they are actually very different and have different spiritual effects on people.

The difference between divination and the true prophetic is intercession, as not everyone who prophecies and gives a sign that comes to pass is a prophet of God. The primary purpose of a prophetic word is not to tell you about your future and blessings, but to reveal the plan and purpose of God concerning your life.

What’s the difference between a prophet and a psychic? Let’s talk about it! A main distinguishing difference for a prophet is we …

Where in the Bible does it say there is no divination?

In Numbers 23:23 of the Amplified Bible, it is stated that there are no enchantments or omens against Jacob or Israel. This raises the question of what God has done.

Why is divination a sin?

Why is divination a sin?

Divination is a sinful pursuit of spiritual knowledge, deceiving and separating Christians from the wisdom of God. Christians should avoid all divination-related endeavors, such as fortune-telling, astrology, witchcraft, tarot cards, and spell-casting. The spirit realm is real but not harmless, as taught by Scripture. Christians should not fear spirits connected to divination or inquire knowledge from them.

True, benevolent wisdom comes from God, as stated in James 1:5. Christianity. com’s editorial staff, with a background in Christian faith and writing experience, strive to create relevant and inspiring content for its audience.

What is a person who practices divination called?

A diviner is a person who practices divination, often used as a soothsayer or to predict the location of water or minerals. However, some diviners may have failed to foresee their own misfortunes with the law. The text on Lintel 25 is written backward, likely designed for viewing with a mirror by ancient Maya conjurers, diviners, or oracles. This often involved putting people like women making money as healers or diviners, or colonized people whose local belief systems were frightening to colonizers, on trial.

The diviner confirms a man’s fears, such as two women bewitching his wife. These abstractions, such as the aggregate flow of goods and services, had to be made concrete in the concepts that these people understood.

Is divination forbidden in the Bible?

The Hebrew Bible, specifically the Tanakh or Old Testament, contains laws prohibiting various forms of witchcraft and divination. These laws can be found in the books of Exodus, Leviticus, and Deuteronomy. Exodus 22:18 prohibits tolerating a sorceress, Leviticus 19:26 prohibits eating anything with its blood, and Leviticus 20:27 condemns a person or woman with a ghost or familiar spirit to death. Deuteronomy 18:10-11 prohibits anyone from consigning a son or daughter to the fire, being an augur, soothsayer, diviner, sorcerer, spell-caster, or one who consults ghosts or familiar spirits. These laws emphasize the prohibition of such practices and the consequences of such practices.

What falls under divination?

What falls under divination?

Divination, a practice that originated in ancient Roman culture, has evolved over time to encompass a wider range of beliefs and practices. In some societies, divination is a common practice but not solely focused on discovering the will of the gods. The concept of godly providence controlling human affairs is unusual, but humbler spirits are often thought to intervene in troublesome ways.

Divination is universally concerned with practical problems, private or public, and seeks information for decision-making. The source of such information is not mundane, and the technique of obtaining it is often fanciful. There are many mantic (divinatory) arts, and a broad understanding can only be gained from a survey of actual practices in various cultural settings.

Divination is attended by respect and the attitude of participants may be religious, but the subject matter is ephemeral, such as an illness, a worrisome portent, or a lost object. Divination is a consultative institution, and the matter posed to a diviner may range from a few lost coins to high questions of state. The casual or solemn nature of the matter is usually matched by that of the diviner in terms of attitude, technique, and style.

The diviner’s art has many rationales, and it is difficult to describe them as a distinctive social type. They may be a shaman, priest, sorcery peddler, or a holy person who speaks almost with the voice of prophecy. To appreciate the significance of the diviner’s art in any culture or era, one must be familiar with prevailing beliefs about man and the world.

What is divination in spirituality?

What is divination in spirituality?

Divination is an art or practice that seeks to predict future events or uncover hidden knowledge, often through omen interpretation or supernatural powers. It is often used to gain unusual insight or intuitive perception. For instance, reading tea leaves and other forms of divination can provide insight into the stock market. Shamanism, a practice in Korean politics, has a long history of leaders seeking out shamans for their divination and truth-telling abilities.

However, the commercialization of these practices has created a warped caricature of their true purpose and sacred history. Daily meditation, journaling, and self-development through divination, including oracle and tarot cards, have been used in ancient African traditions. Despite their historical significance, the commercialization of divination practices has created a warped caricature of their true purpose and sacred history.

What is the difference between fortune telling and divination?

What is the difference between fortune telling and divination?

Fortune telling is an unproven spiritual practice that involves predicting information about a person’s life, similar to divination but with a less serious or formal setting. It originated from the use of the crystal ball in the 1st century CE by soothsayers, and has evolved over time, with Western images of fortune telling originating from folkloristic reception of Renaissance magic and the adoption of methods from non-Western cultures like the I Ching. Examples of fortune telling as purely pop culture items with little or no occult beliefs include the Magic 8-Ball sold by Mattel and the octopus Paul the Octopus used to predict match outcomes.

There is opposition to fortune telling in Christianity, Islam, Baháʼísm, and Judaism due to scriptural prohibitions against divination. Terms for those who claim to see into the future include fortune teller, crystal-gazer, spaewife, seer, soothsayer, sibyl, clairvoyant, and prophet, and related terms include oracle, augur, and visionary. Skeptics dismiss fortune telling as based on pseudoscience, magical thinking, and superstition.

What is an example of a divination?

Contemporary divination techniques encompass a range of practices, including astrology, horoscopes, scrying, tarot cards, and Ouija boards.

What is a female fortune teller called?

Sibyl is a term used to describe a woman who tells fortunes, often referred to as an illusionist, seer, or visionary. A soothsayer is someone who claims to predict the future, often claiming to be tall, dark, and handsome. Historically, soothsayers were considered useful consultants for governments, but today they are more likely to be scoffed at. Despite this, many soothsayers have successful businesses in telling people’s fortunes and providing advice. The term “soothsayer” comes from the Old English word for “truth” combined with “say”, meaning “an act of speaking the truth”.

What’s the difference between prophecy and divination?

In the early centuries of the Common Era, Christian writers defined prophecy as the revelation of knowledge from the divine, while divination was understood to be the disclosure of information from demons, which was at best only partially true.

What does the Bible mean by divination?

What does the Bible mean by divination?

Divination is a universal phenomenon found in almost all cultures, and it was prevalent in the ancient world. Written evidence for divination dates back to the early 2nd millennium in Mesopotamia and is attested to various parts of the ancient world, including the Near East, Egypt, the Levant, Greece, Italy, and China. Despite being forbidden for religious or political reasons in some ancient societies, divination remained pervasive in the Roman Empire and continued after the advance of Christianity.

Research into divination began in the late 19th century and the first decades of the 20th century, with many primary sources from Mesopotamia, Greece, and China published for the first time. However, interest in divination grew again from the late 1980s onward, with an abundance of research and the publication of new primary sources.

Divination is a means of gaining knowledge that is not obtainable by normal modes of investigation, serving to handle uncertainty, warn or reassure a person or a whole people about what the future will bring, and illuminate past events. It can be divided into “artificial” and “natural” divination, with natural divination referring to prophecy and other kinds of theophany revealed in plain language or comprehensible visions. Artificial divination relies on a hermeneutic apparatus, which can be complex or simple code, sometimes combined with the diviner’s intuition.

In the early 21st century, there has been a movement toward considering divination and prophesy as two sides of the same coin, in line with Plato and Cicero. Prophecy is left out of consideration in this context.

Divination is a cultural activity that serves multiple purposes and is attested to in a myriad of variations. The history of their manifestations, development, and cross-fertilization in the ancient world is still a work in progress.

  • This topic in particular is so encouraging to me. I’ve encountered a lot of people who prophesied over me. However, it was difficult for me to discern whether it was from God or not… especially when those prophecies were given from people who are close to me. Some of the prophecies affected me and my relationships negatively. After reading your books and perusal your articles, I decided to personally pursue after God so that I can discern and hear from Him myself. Thank you! These articles are very helpful! Also to add, I did receive some good prophecies! Someone prophesied that my mom who is battling from cancer and Parkinson’s will be able to jump with joy. One day, during praise, my mom was dancing and jumping with joy! She is currently recovering. Praise God!

  • Few years back Long Island Medium Theresa Caputo had a book signing not far from my home. In the days leading up to that God had me in scripture studying His word about mediums/psychics. Day of, I walked the line of those waiting to meet her and saw such desperation on their faces. She decided to leave as I was standing there praying silently. God had me give her a word at her car, and she received it. He has a gift in her! Someone needs to guide her in using it for God’s kingdom. Come on, Shawn!! I can totally see you and/or Sean Smith being that person.

  • Thanks so much Shawn! I’m loving these articles. I also LOVE your Provision book! I had a wonderful experience of prophesy at Bethel Church in CA. They had confirmed what I had been going through, it tied to who I was, it gave me a healing word, and hope. It wasn’t about specific dates and specific events. It was truth, it was about my identity, and also pointed to Christ. Blessings from Canada!

  • I remember when i was desperate to God’s call for me. That i was looking online for people with the gift of prophecy to speak God’s plan for me. Because in the church i used to attend to, they do tongues, but no other spiritual gifts. So the only place i get to hear the supernatural was on youtube, especially with shawn bolz about the gifts of the Holy Spirit. Anyway, i saw a guy doing prophecy on instagram, but he requests payment before he gives a word. And so he chose not to, even if i said i will pay him thrice the amount he’s getting as soon as i get to have a work. But still said no. So the next day i got to talk to a woman sharing about our hunger to God, and out of nowhere she introduced me to her spiritual mom that’s a Prophetess. And just said, “Jesus loves you and you’re highly favored!” With that i felt the Lord told me in my heart he’s called me in the 5fold ministry. A simple word can give powerful encounters with God. Things don’t have to be deep. There was so much revelation after that, but i guess this one’s already good enough

  • Looove all the content you post for this show!! I look forward and wait each week for a new episode, and get excited each time I get notified of a new upload! 😆 I love when you share stories, Shawn. They’re so engaging and relatable. Helps me digest the message better. Also, those little memes/gifs are the perfect touch. In a strange way, they do keep me focused. 😂

  • Thanks for explaining that . My best prophecy was that God wanted me to be baptized in 2019 and that God also was going to give me a healing and cure the deafness in my left ear. But there have been many many prophecies that i have had for many people over my years . All these things come true . I wish I could help more people with prophecy . I will continue to pray that God uses me in this way I am happy to be used by him .

  • When I was 20 and had just moved to a new country with my husband, a christian prophetess prayed over me at a meeting. I really really wanted to be prayed for because I was inspired by her teaching on the Holy Spirit, and I really was convicted inside that I couldn’t hear that ‘still small voice’ of my Father in heaven – but what she prayed changed my heart! Especially about being adopted into the family of God, who has blessed Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, and given Jesus for my sins. I spent three years learning the language of the place I live now, and was very hungry for people to talk to, but God kept reaching in and feeding me with His word, with small blessings through fellow believers, and slowly, opening up the subject of the ‘still small voice’ to me in ways I could understand. Father God is very good, and Jesus is the only way to him! My family is the biggest that has ever been or ever will be, because it’s an eternal family – and I’m never alone, because Jesus is just a prayer’s whisper away.

  • Thank you for every one that makes it possible for you to keep sharing the truth with so many hungry people out there! You asked about any prophecy words spoken over me, rivers of living water’s will flow out of me ! Many people will be refreshed by the loving truth of my testimony of the Goodness and His loving kindness for each of us!! 🥰🦄

  • I love how creative you guys are. If you weren’t so creative God wouldn’t have spoken to me in such a profound way a few episodes back. God said to me this one time while on the couch that he would put a small gift for me in episode 124 of your prophetic series articles. I was eagerly waiting for a month to see what it was. Many times people had given me prophecies saying “Just do it!” Literally a week before I watched the episode someone had given me a poster of Shia LaBeouf with the script bellow saying, “JUST DO IT!” When I was perusal episode 124, I noticed the Shia LaBeouf skit on your article and from then on you kept sneaking it in with some other episodes. I couldn’t help but laugh so hard knowing that God had spoken in such a creative way through media. So awesome Shawn! Keep up the good work. P.S JUST DO IT! MAKE YOUR DREAMS COME TRUE!!!

  • Thank you so much!!! The first time I was some of the articles, I was surprised by the little pop up gifts or articles, but afterward I realized it kept me engaged and LAUGHING! And I also thought that teens and college aged students would really be able to relate to it. Though it was different, I think it definitely has a place in your articles! You guys are doing an amazing job!

  • My teenagers love to look at all the ‘stuff’ you have on your shelf behind Shawn and guess which game its from, eg. Link from Breath of the Wild. I really enjoy the funny bits your editing team slots in during your talk. Keep it real, keep it fresh. Love that you were at a Psychic Fair and people were blessed!

  • I was raised in a Christian home w the most loving, caring, God loving parents ever. When the church doors were open, we were there. I agree w you on some of what you say such as the self proclaimed “psychics” that will say whatever it takes to relieve a weak. Minded person of their assets by any means possible. However, I think you will agree that God created the planets in our tiny piece of the universe as well as our planet earth and earth’s moon and the moons of the other planets and the star we know as the sun that earth and the other planets revolve around as well as the stars that are viewable w the naked eye from earth at some point including the stars that form the constellations that make up the 12 signs of the zodiac. Loose interpretation of the positions of the planets, sun, stars & earth’s moon & how they may influence and/or make an impact on a person’s personality and/or personal life is a lot of how people read into it, I agree. There may be 12 zodiac signs but there certainly arent 12 groups of “Leos” or any other sign running around like a giant pride of lions havingthe same life experiences at the same time. We are individuals unique in our own ways as God created us. Even identical twins possess their own personalities and minds that are free to make their own choices and decisions. And every person that has ever been born or ever will be born is born under the positions or alignment of the planets, stars, moon, sun, latitude and longitude that one’s birth chart, which is based on the map of the sky at the exact time and location of their birth & is as unique for each individual as their own fingerprints or DNA, perhaps more so as a few seconds can mean the difference of being born under a Libra or Scorpio moon or whether Gemini or Cancer was passing thru Venus territory on their endless but timely orbiting path, spinning in space, making their journey around the sun exactly as God made them and intended them to do.

  • Thanks for another awesome, practical teaching! I enjoy this lighthearted, playful approach with these articles, with the funny clips of memes, gifs, etc. I think it makes it easier to share with this generation that enjoys TikToks, stories, snaps, etc. If I have any other ideas, I’ll let you know!🤗 But I’m loving what you’re doing and wanna give a round of applause to your creative team and editors for trying something new!👏🏾👏🏾🤓

  • I just want to encourage you to keep doing these articles… I love all the media references… Dr. Who…Come on that just Great! And I like that the media references are short and are more like an exclamation mark what you are saying, and they don’t take away at all! And I feel like I can send this to people in different streams of life…Because you make it so relatable!

  • Love these short informative articles with the funny memes you add in! I’d love to hear your take, as a pop culture collector and article game enthusiast, on things like Dungeons and Dragons and Harry Potter. Things the church has attacked sometimes unfairly or just ignorantly. You’d be the perfect person to address some of the misconceptions the church has had towards pop culture that a large part of the church has rejected. Thanks so much for all your content! I send it to all my friends too!

  • Yep, love this website. So fun and creative and full of life! It feels like warmth because it is uplifting and it seems to agree with things that I already somehow know to be true very deep inside that maybe I don’t have the words for. Almost like it’s reminding me of things that were true all along. Tres bien!

  • I love when you explain things that the kingdom of darkness does that is actually originally a God Concept and how it is to be used for God. I also love when you share experiences that could be scary but then God gave you the victory because you were so humorous. Like when you were in Africa and the witch doctor came by when you were sleeping and you ended up in the bathroom or when you went to Korea and that spirit came to your hotel room. Do you have any more of those spooky stories because you really show redemption and how powerful God is and how really simple it is to get rid of those spirits. The body of Christ has a tendency to think that it’s a very common thing But all it took you was a thought, like remembering I have authority over this. You are really good with making dark and heavy themes seems so easy and even comical. Those are the things that unbelievers really like to hear. Those are the things that show how powerful believers really are. I even taught my son to say, “the Holy Spirit is the only spirit welcomed in this place”. That is so simple. And my son remembers to use that when things seem kind of dark.

  • Never had good news when younger from any so called fortune teller & had one crazy exp with a so called psychic college classmate when she went into a trance, started cursing when talking & the spirit that was possessing her tried to jump into me & push me out my 3rd fl window. I prayed in Jesus name & it all stopped. She didn’t remember anything. That night that spirit’s presence came in my bedroom, I could only feel it and it told me to stay away from her. I immediately prayed telling Jesus I would never get to sleep now. I prayed for his protection & next thing I know it was morning. No more threats after that. The classmate later admitted she had a very protective spiritual friend that only appeared to her, & was sorry that happened. Another classmate a 7 day Adventist told her she needed to pray for it to leave her, but she wasn’t convinced, though I told her it tried to kill me. Our friendship ended after our class did.

  • “I Have Heard Your Prayers And Your Intentions Over Your Heart’s Desires For More Of The Prophetic My Son. I Will Be Just And Faithful To Always Love Your Requests And Your Life’s Work In The Ministry You Have Been Persuing All These Years. I Am The God Of Abraham, Isaac And Jacob And I Will Always Be Here For You My Son Of Many Gifts Says The Spirit Of The Lord”.

  • Enjoyed this so much! I wish they had these conversations when I was in church and were open and honest about spiritual gifts. This is probably a long shot, I know this is an old article but I was hoping you’d have more book and biblical references that match this way of thinking? I would really liek to research this more and figure out a solution to what I have experienced.

  • Sometimes when I re-watch prophetic vids that I’ve already seen, there will be answers or confirmations relating to recent prayers or events and so I receive new revelations perusal them that I hadn’t been able to receive yet when I viewed them the first time. Some of the prophets God speaks to me through in this way are Devin and Michelle Lavore, Sabrina at Helping Hands Prophetic Ministry, Lana Vawser, and Christian Pierre, to name a few. When it happens, the confirmations are so explicit and utterly impossible to be coincidental. I love when God communicates with me outside of time in this manner ❤️😊 For example, there might be a confirmation of a phrase that came up in recent prayer, verses I just read or spoke over myself, a song I just sang or listened to, a number I keep seeing popping up, an image I just saw, a vision or dream I just had etc, sometimes there will be references to several such things all in the same vid that I had seen in the past, but when I watched it again months or years later all these things synced up so I know it’s a word from God for me or signals that the word is being fulfilled now/about to be, or I’ll get an instruction and I know for sure it’s what God wants me to do now, etc. God is so awesome ❤️

  • Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus . John Paul Jackson had explained in a article the difference between a Prophet & Psychic. God gave gifts that he doesn’t take it away. Both were given the gifts to receive messages. Prophet receives messages from God while Psychic receives messages from Satan. When one entertain by going to a psychic, or other medium you are exposing yourself to a source that is not from God. Do not go there, repent, do not give yourself to palm readings, crystal balls, clothing or touch your are exposing yourself. In this world there is good and evil . We are to choose whom God says he will reveal his words to. God forewarned us about these necromancers and diviners. Blessed be our God, ” Jehovah Adonai “.

  • Shawn bolz do you think that psychics give readings about what the enemy will do? Because I’ve heard a story where this one person had a friend read them with tarot cards and they went to church and older woman asked them if they had played with witchcraft, and revealed that two demons stood behind them. She revealed that they were going to kill her. So she prayed and cast them away in Jesus name and they left. So honestly like that pagan necklace that used to feel so dark when I wore it, I cast those things away. I’ve never had a reading and I never will, but true prophets of God are always welcome to aid.

  • I love the meme-y references and stuff. A lot of people have a style of how they try to get their content to come across and in the christian world its like perusal paint dry to someone who became saved later in life and learned to sing thru mainstream music and who still loves memes. Like I love Chuck missler but dang. It is hard to get thru some of the mans stuff. Its similar with most. I dont feel like you’re pandering or trying to “fill seats” it just seems like its your God given personality. And I like it. So. Gg

  • I think the intro with like the intergalactic theme, since there are times when you guys put gifs that are funny to relate with what shawn’s saying, i’m not sure if the galactic champion intro is actually just you guys making a meme out of it. Or something already serious? Because the topic is psychic, and a lot of them base it on the stars. Haha

  • That is interesting. ” A main distinguishing difference for a prophet is we have a relationship to the source of who God is”. I liked that quote, yet I have a problem with “we”. I thought that prophet is a certain person called of God? It doesn’t include everyone. Yes, I believe all people can have a relationship with G_d and even have some type of experiences. I don’t believe all of us are prophets though. However, prophets have special experiences and not your typical run of the mill type of experiences. They have more miracle type experiences. Has everyone had a burning bush experience? I believe a person must be called of God to be a prophet. Does that really include everyone?

  • I’ve been searching for something like thi article for so long because when I was younger I had a psychic tell me something & it ended up happening and now I’m worried about the other things she said – (it was 3 different people and they said the same thing) so I’ve been worried daily & trying to believe that their lies from the devil and Gods will for me is different. I guess my question is, in this article – at 5:10 are you saying that astrology & physic isn’t set and always correct?

  • Prophets don’t bring all positive they also warn peoe if they don’t change something negative would happen. I have prophesied in the last 4 years things that happened accurately and out of the 4 2 turned out for the better and 2 the opposite and I have another prophesy thats Negative and waiting for it to happen and its just a heads up

  • There a lot of people on YouTube that says that their all Prophets oh, and they were like what God said that this is going to happen CI prophesize that but they’re not talk about religion to talk about what’s going on in the world which anyone can see and why do they think that they have been anointed by God when they live in the secular world and behave on YouTube Instagram

  • During the time of christianity we clearly see how the priesthood detest any person who has psychic abilities, this is why the prophets in the bible had a hard time too!The priests in Israel was not happy about them but they had to keep their masks,it is not that easy to get rid of/kill a psychic person who the crowd believes is a new prophet! Giuseppe da Copertino 1603-1663,was an Italian Conventual Franciscan friar who many times started levitating during his exstatic prayers. It was told that only a glimpse of a painting or statue of Mary made him levitate. Well, you don’t have to be a psychic to realize that the priesthood was not happy about the commotion around the pius and simple, levitating friar! They would certainly have burned the poor man, what saved him was the fact that he was slow, flat out retarded in many ways. How can you burn a man who everybody knew was so simple and slow, indeed Satan himself would understand that this poor soul would only cause him hard work and no gain!Satan knows he can not twist a mind which is “absent”! They wanted the pius friar to stop praying, but they realized it was too grotesque,a priest trying to forbid a friar to pray to God!They sent the poor friar away to a remote place,a place with no road leading to it,they hoped it would prevent the crowd to reach him! Sure, the news got out, people established resthouses along the rocky trail, the poor and pius friar had become business! The prophets were individuals, like every psychic person they have their own personality, now and then you get a vision like you are perusal the tv,other times it comes to you in symbols .

  • Funny how all these new prophets always duck the justice and discipline of God. The prophets of the Old Testament: Jeremiah, Ezekiel and Isaiah and others prophesied SIN and judgement just as much as blessings and turnarounds and miracle breakthroughs. However, these 2023 prophets prophesy sugary and soft things. Where is that now? You say that prophets don’t ask for money, but that’s a lie too. They play on words. Love Offerings, seed offerings and plainly stating they need USD is one in the same. And no, psychics need to be dealt with. We love the person, hate the spirit they walk in. Stop perverting LOVE.

  • You do not have to be a believer of Christ to be a prophet, man. You don’t have to even believe in the Bible. I always seen a prophet as a person who receives messages in dreams from God. And yes, it is in your Bible about this too. So stop acting like Christianity is the only belief that exist and stop believing that the Bible is the only source. And besides, some prophets bring very damning news of judgement, wars and murder to people, even in your Bible. Read it sometime. Your Bible speaks quite a bit of psychics and astrologers. Even the high priest of the Levites consulted the stones called the Urim and Thummin in his breastplate when he couldn’t get answers from God. Did I say the HIGH PREIST OF THE LEVITES? Yep!
