What Does It Imply In Astrology To Be Exalted?

In astrology, a planet’s domicile is the zodiac sign over which it has rulership. Exaltation in astrology is the sign where a planet performs effortlessly and in the expected ways. Detriment or exile is the sign a planet struggles in or where it needs to find. Some signs have an exalted planet in their charts, such as Venus, Taurus, Libra, and Pisces.

Exaltation is a crucial concept in astrology that helps astrologers interpret the placement of planets in a birth chart, providing insights into the strengths and challenges an individual may face in their life. The word “exalted” implies something superior or an idealized form of a planet’s potential.

There are four different dignities of planets: Vedic and Western astrology categorize the planets as four different dignities. Their powers become malefic (negative or weak) or benefic (positive or strong) for the signs. When a planet is exalted in a particular house, it means it is positioned in a favorable position, and its energies are expressed in a positive and harmonious manner.

Exaltation is one of the five essential dignities of a planet, meaning it is a place of awareness for the planet. The exaltation of the planets means the sign of the zodiac in which the properties of the celestial body are most pronounced. Planets ruling over a sign are in exaltation, and they can achieve their highest expression and potential. Exalted planets signify strength and happiness by being placed in a friendly zodiac sign, like when there is something special about home.

What does it mean when you are exalted?

The term “exalted” refers to someone or something raised in rank, value, or power. It comes from the Latin word “exaltare”, which means “high”. The term is often used to describe someone or something of high moral or intellectual value, or to indicate a character with high or elevated character. Examples include the exalted queen, who enjoyed regular processions and gifts from foreign lands. Despite not having an exalted position at school, an exalted role in a family can bring siblings together.

The positions of these planets are 18°00” – 18°59”, 3°00” – 18°59”, and 28°00” – 28°59” respectively.

In what signs is Saturn strong?

Saturn’s energy is associated with seriousness, perseverance, and maturity. It teaches patience, responsibility, and realistic goals. Positive aspects of Saturn can lead to stability and strong foundations, while negative aspects can cause feelings of restriction, fear, and self-doubt. Saturn’s position in the zodiac signs reflects its disciplined and serious energy.

In Capricorn, Saturn is strong, ambitious, and focused on goals. Aquarius brings an innovative approach to discipline, valuing independence and original thinking. Libra focuses on relationships and fairness, requiring balance and harmony in interactions. Aries brings a determined and assertive energy, facing challenges head-on and being driven.

Saturn’s house in the birth chart indicates the area where its energy is most felt. First House individuals highlight personal responsibility and self-discipline, while Fourth House individuals focus on home and family life. Tenth House individuals are career-focused and work hard to achieve professional goals.

Saturn transits can bring periods of testing, responsibility, and growth in areas affected by the birth chart. A Saturn return occurs approximately every 29 years, marking a significant time for personal growth and maturity. Understanding Saturn’s role helps us see our potential for growth through hard work and perseverance, leading to long-term success and stability.

Is exalted Saturn good?

Exalted planets are a major misconception among people interested in astrology. Many astrologers believe that an exalted planet in a horoscope means the planet is strongly positive for the native and is likely to produce strong positive results regarding the general significances ruled by it, the house it occupies, and the aspects it casts on other planets and houses. For example, an exalted Saturn in Libra is considered very good by many astrologers, and a person with Saturn placed in Libra is likely to be blessed by its good results throughout their life.

Similarly, an exalted Sun placed in Aries is considered a sure indication of very good results, which may include securing good posts in government departments and administrative fields. All other planets in their signs of exaltation are considered to be strongly positive and associated with strong positive results. However, this is just a misconception. The placement of a planet in its sign of exaltation in a horoscope does not imply that the planet is positive in nature.

An exalted and positive Saturn can produce very strong positive results regarding the significances ruled by it, the house it is placed in, and the aspects it casts on other planets and houses. On the other hand, there is almost no planet in a horoscope which is as destructive as a negative and exalted Saturn. A negative Saturn placed in Libra can be destructive to extremely destructive and destroy the significances of the houses and planets aspected by it altogether.

Many people suffering heavily due to a negative exalted planet find the cause of their miseries and sufferings in some other planet because they believe that an exalted planet simply means a very strongly positive planet and is never supposed to cause any harm. This misconception leads them to not find the planet responsible for their sufferings for long periods of their lives or even at all, and they just keep guessing about which planet can be the cause of their miseries and misfortunes.

Debilitated planets are often the easiest planets in a horoscope to blame for all the sufferings, misfortunes, and problems.

What is the rarest conjunction in astrology?

Great conjunctions occur every 20 years when Jupiter overtakes Saturn in its orbit, making them the rarest of the conjunctions between naked-eye planets. The spacing between the planets varies, with most events being 0. 5 to 1. 3 degrees (30 to 78 arcminutes, or 1 to 2. 5 times the width of a full moon). Very close conjunctions occur less frequently, with separations of less than 10 arcminutes only happening four times since 1200, most recently in 2020.

Great conjunctions have attracted significant attention as omens in the past, with topics discussed by pre-scientific and transitional astronomer-astrologers, scholastic thinkers, and authors such as Dante, Lope de Vega, and Shakespeare. This interest in conjunctions can be traced back to translations of Arabic texts, particularly Albumasar’s book on conjunctions. In the past, great conjunctions were discussed by pre-scientific and transitional astronomer-astrologers, scholastic thinkers, and authors like Dante, Lope de Vega, and Shakespeare.

What if Venus is exalted?

Venus, the planet of love and passion, can be found in various astrological signs, including Sagittarius, Pisces, and Pisces. An exalted Venus may not necessarily lead to a successful love life, as it may be addicted to the concept of life rather than falling in love. Venus’ position in the eighth and ninth house can make a native attractive and magnetic, as it is associated with sex, lust, love, and passion. An evening born native’s Venus is most alluring and can be felt most strongly in the second part of the night.

However, Venus’ placement during dawn can provide concentration and creative powers, such as writing, composing, musical practices, meditation, math, and science. Therefore, individual kundlis must be studied to fully understand the natal chart or synastry.

  • I read before in Alan Oken’s book about Mercury being exalted in Aquarius! I personally think that Mercury in Virgo makes more sense because the planet of languages in a mutable sign. But its definitely something to think about… Aquarius could lift Mercury very high because Uranus is its higher octave and Saturn adds a stability to the otherwise erratic nature of Mercury. Also Aquarius being a sign associated with networking!

  • Mars in Capricorn here, I am a powerhouse when it comes to working my butt off to steadily achieve my goals. I also have sun in Libra at the bottom of my chart, I can be a people pleaser and often put others far ahead of myself. I have a hard time showing who I am. I tend to try to blend into the background and avoid attention but as I age I have become more comfortable and do that much less. I was very bothered by attention when I was younger, even having someones eyes on me would make me want to disappear.

  • man oh man this has been saved under my ‘watch later’ list for a year now heh here I go, so… I have a Cancer rising, NN, and Jupiter; a Virgo sun & Mercury; a Sag moon, mars, chiron and pluto; plus a Gemini saturn under whole sign housing, you can see in my chart that I have Mars & Saturn in opposition Jupiter & Mercury are exalted and the moon and Jupiter are specifically in mutual reception I’m not sure how you would interpret this that same way but to meeee My chart definitely seems like a bit of a melodramatic or overwhelming pot of energies :d 😀

  • the fall scheme would be awesome! I have mutual reception between cancer mars and scorpio moon. My moon is also involved in my grand fixed cross with jupiter, sun and saturn and it seems like I basically don’t know what my emotions are until they’re EXPLODING, and I HATE communicating how I feel. So immature!

  • Hi! My moon is in Taurus which is funny because everyone else in my life loves how dependable and nurturing I am but sometimes I hate it about myself because I’m mostly Libra and Sag so I just wanna have fun but I like won’t allow myself. Lmfao. I also have sun in Libra so maybe that’s part of my issue. Always a constant battle with myself. Lol
