The narrative of American colonization was largely based on myths and legends, with Native people being the primary victims of witchcraft. Most Americans’ knowledge of the seventeenth century comes from heavily mythologized events, such as the first Thanksgiving at Plymouth and Pocahontas saving Captain John Smith from execution. The Salem witch trials began in 1692 when a group of young girls claimed to be possessed by the devil and accused several local women. Tribal laws, treaties, and oral history transcripts were analyzed to determine how witchcraft accusations were used to negotiate the social and moral boundaries of Native people.
When Europeans first settled in America, the belief in witchcraft was universal among the nations they came from. Native American peoples were subject to accusations of devil worship, as they were viewed as godless and pagan, making them easily influenced by the devil. Multiple roots entwined to produce a witch hunt, including a belief in sorcery, a patriarchal society, sudden deaths due to a lack of healthcare, and inaccessible justice systems.
In colonial America and the United States, views of witchcraft were further shaped by European colonists. The Salem witch trials in Massachusetts, where Native American society faced threats, led to the persecution of witches and the search for witchcraft. Early modern Europeans feared witches and pondered the meaning of their dreams.
So far, none of the accused have stood trial for witchcraft. Gender is perhaps the principal factor differentiating witchcraft legends, with eight of the narratives featuring male witches and only three female witches.

Was witchcraft illegal in the United States?
Over 300 years ago, practicing witchcraft in the American colonies was a felony, defined by English law as acting with magical powers. However, legal failings, mass paranoia, and Puritan religious and societal rules led to the Salem Witch Trials of 1692, where over 200 people were accused of practicing witchcraft. Twenty were executed, most by hanging, and one man was pressed to death under heavy stones. Dozens suffered under inhumane conditions, including torture and imprisonment.
The tragedy of the Salem Witch Trials is largely due to the failure of the court and the laws during that time, which made visions, dreams, and the testimony of spirits permissible evidence. The court also accepted accusations that were so flimsy they would seem laughable today.
When did witchcraft become a crime?
During the 16th and 17th centuries, religious tensions in England led to the introduction of severe penalties for witchcraft. Henry VIII’s Witchcraft Act 1541 was the first to define witchcraft as a felony, punishable by death and forfeiture of goods and chattels. It prohibited the use of devise, practice, or exercise of witchcraft, to steal money, treasure, consume, destroy, or provoke people to unlawful love or intent.
The Act also removed the benefit of clergy, which exempted accused from the King’s courts from those convicted of witchcraft. This statute was repealed by Henry’s son, Edward VI, in 1547. The act was a significant step in addressing the issue of witchcraft in England.
Who was the first person to be hanged for witchcraft?
In May 1647, Alse Young, also known as Achsah or Alice, was the first person executed for witchcraft in America. He was hanged at the gallows by Meeting House Square in Hartford, which is now the site of the Old State House. The panic over witchcraft in Connecticut began four decades earlier than in Salem and continued for several decades. Alse Young was one of over ten people accused and hanged for witchcraft in Connecticut.
Mary Johnson of Wethersfield was executed in 1648 after confessing to entering into a compact with the devil, the earliest confession of this kind in the colonies. Joan and John Carrington, the first of several accused couples, were executed in 1651. Some of the accused were acquitted or exonerated with damages, while others fled the colony.
John Winthrop Jr. became Connecticut’s governor and chief magistrate in 1657 and was given an official royal charter from King Charles II. This charter established Connecticut as an independent colony and granted Winthrop the right to pardon offenders. He overturned the conviction of Elizabeth Seager of Hartford at her third witchcraft trial in 1666 and saved Katherine Harrison from a death sentence in 1669. Harrison’s trial changed the way evidence was used in Connecticut, determining that there should be a plurality of witnesses and that the burden of proof should be on the accusers.
Is there witchcraft in Native American culture?
Witchcraft was a significant part of Native and European worldviews. Access to content on Oxford Academic is typically provided through institutional subscriptions and purchases. What was the real reason for the Salem witch trials?
The mass hysteria in 1604 was influenced by various factors, including King William’s War with French colonists, a smallpox epidemic, Native American threats, rivalry with Salem Town, and tensions between leading families. Historians believe witches were victims of scapegoating, personal vendettas, and social mores. The Puritans’ religious beliefs and legal system also played a role. The Witchcraft Act of 1604 was the primary English law for witchcraft, making it a felony. A minor offense could result in a year of imprisonment, while a second conviction could lead to death.
When did witchcraft start in America?
Virginia courts followed England’s witchcraft law, which was passed under James I in 1604. These cases primarily dealt with the charge of maleficium, causing harm to people or property by supernatural means. The earliest witchcraft allegations against an English settler in the British North American colonies were made in Virginia in September 1626, with Joan Wright of James City County (later Surry County) being accused. Wright was acquitted despite her own admission of knowledge of witchcraft practices.
The charges against Wright are typical of many witch trials during the colonial period, where witchcraft was a relatively logical explanation for misfortunes. The fact that Wright was a woman also reflects a trend in the legal records of England and the Massachusetts Bay Colony.
The most famous witch trial in colonial Virginia is the case of Grace Sherwood of Princess Anne County. Sherwood was accused by her neighbors in 1698 of bewitching their piggs to death and bewitching their cotton. Sherwood and her husband, James, brought defamation suits against the accusers, but did not win either case.
In 1706, Sherwood stood trial before the General Court. The court justices decided to use the water test to determine her guilt or innocence. The test involved binding the accused’s hands and feet and throwing them into a body of water. A defendant who sank was presumed innocent, while a defendant who floated was presumed guilty. Sherwood floated and was convicted and imprisoned, but by 1714, she had been released.
What is the word for a Native American witch?
The Cherokee people, known as the “Little People” or Yunwi Tsunsdi, were believed to have supernatural powers and were feared by those who treated them with respect. They were known to perform good deeds for those who treated them with respect, but were considered bad luck and could potentially result in premature death. They were often warned not to tell others or even speak of them, and were more safely referred to as “skill’li”, meaning witch or ghost. Similar tales exist in tribes across North America, such as the Jo-ga-oh in Iroquois folklore.
The most dreaded Cherokee witch was Kalona Ayeliski, also known as the Raven Mocker. These witches, who could be of any sex, were known for their supernatural abilities and were often seen flying with wings and making a raven’s cry. They would take the life of a sick or dying person at night, often finding others of their kind at the dying person’s house. Unless an Indian Doctor knew how to drive them off, they would frighten and torment the sick person until they killed them. After taking the life, they would eat the person’s heart, adding to their own lives as many days or years as they had taken from the person.
What was the biggest cause of the Salem witch trials?
The mass hysteria in 1604 was influenced by various factors, including King William’s War with French colonists, a smallpox epidemic, Native American threats, rivalry with Salem Town, and tensions between leading families. Historians believe witches were victims of scapegoating, personal vendettas, and social mores. The Puritans’ religious beliefs and legal system also played a role. What is the Native American version of a witch?
Western Indian tribes, particularly the Navajo tribe, believed in supernatural beings called Skinwalkers, who could take on any animal form and travel quickly. They gained this power through initiation into the Witchery Way, which involved murdering a close relative, necrophilia, and grave-robbing. Once initiated, Skinwalkers became “pure evil”. In Native culture, most witches were male. As Halloween approaches, it’s important to consider whether your neighbor is a Wendigo lurking in the night or if your family dog or cat is actually a Skinwalker in disguise. Lock your doors, stay up late, and have a Happy Halloween!
What role did the Native Americans play in the Salem witch trials?
Tituba, an Indian woman, was enslaved by Samuel Parris, the minister of Salem Village in Massachusetts Bay. She was crucial in the Salem witch trials, confessing to witchcraft and accusing two other women, Sarah Good and Sarah Osborne, of the same crime. She was imprisoned for over a year but never tried. The only records of Tituba pertain to her central position in the trials.
Tituba’s birthplace is not known, but Thomas Hutchinson wrote in 1764 that she was brought into the Country from New Spain. Later historians have taken this to mean the Caribbean or Barbados, but this is speculation. Elaine G. Breslaw identified her with a “Tattuba” born circa 1662-1666, who was documented as enslaved to Samuel Thompson in Barbados in 1674. Other historians have suggested that Tituba was born in Africa.
Bernard Rosenthal objected to both lines of argument as compounded speculation, stating that Barbadian slaves were generally African, but Tituba was universally described as Indian in Puritan sources.
How did the Indian War affect the Salem witch trials?
The self-centered motives of West Salem villagers resulted in their support for witchcraft trials, while the Indian Wars caused significant disruption and hardship in colonial life. The combination of food shortages and severe weather conditions served to exacerbate the situation, resulting in a notable increase in distress among the community.

Thank you so much Grandfather Wally and team. The evil ones are becoming so visible now that we need to constantly be aware of what is happening lest they gain the upper hand and hurt us or those we love. I feel sorry for people who don’t believe in prayer and the Holy Ones. Many Blessings to you all.
My comment about this article as a Catholic is more or less “Mr. Brown is discussing topics I’ve only ever heard exorcists discuss, such as avoid all discussion much less participation in the dark arts and the occult or the demonic attacks on the sanctity of the human family.” An excellent article, thank you Mr. Brown. May the Creator of us all always bless the steps you take.
Thank you, Grandfather Wally, Shane, and the team for bringing these teachings to us. I value it more than you will know; hearing you speak on these topics sobers my spirit and helps me to keep the evils of this world in perspective. I feel that I can more easily rise above it now after hearing these talks.
I had a dream about the four devils. In my dream a man’s voice said ” I’m going to show you the four devils” one was a black shadow man, a witch, a green goblin, a man half animal, I don’t know the names but they all have a reason and what they do . We are in a spiritual war between good and bad everyday .
From Poland: The best defense against evil is the awareness of the choices we can make ourselves. Evil will not overtake us unless we invited it, we allow evil enter into our lives. It is so beautiful that people with such ancient knowledge and teachings have survived in today world. It’s a pity that there are no such people in my country anymore and we got rid of the beliefs of our ancestors in favor of a foreign religion in which only money counts for their priests.
This message has come at the perfect time! There is so much going on in the world today that are distractions. This reminds me of my grandfather who shared similar wisdom. He also said that to even think of evil will feed it and draw other evil near. I will be focusing my attention upon my Protection prayer rather than the distractions. I appreciate you taking the time to teach us. 💞🤗💞
People don’t need to ask anything regarding these topics. If you can see beyond sight, hear beyond hearing, feel beyond feeling, you know what it is. Avoiding it is good, but to show no fear is even better. When you have no fear of any of these beings, they shall be the ones avoiding you. That’s always been my experience and still is ❤ Observing is key to knowing and learning
You give them power with fear and anxiety. We live on a huge mountain in TN, mostly secluded from other people. When we first moved there, we would hear crashing in the woods like something big was always running around. You could tell it had two feet and it sounded huge. One day, me my mom and my brother were walking outside at night, i was in the middle burning sage for cleansing. We heard a roar besides us and my mom and brother had huge claw marks down their backs. That made something click inside of me and i stopped fearing this being, turned and faced the direction of what i now believe firmly was a skinwalker, all i could see was a tall, black silhouette, it looked like it was covered in thick fur but it was too blurry and dark out to see in detail as it was about 75ft away. Without thinking i walked directly towards it with the sage in my hands and screamed leave my family now! It backed up slightly but continued to stand there, extremely errirlie still. My mother and my brother were so scared they were stuck where they were standing. I turned to look at my mom and as i did that whatever this thing was ran directly towards me, i turned back around to face it and thats when i saw its face. It would absolutely petrify anyone else who would have seen it. It had blood red eyes, with wolf/hyena like face, and as i looked directly into its eyes it started smiling, at this time mom and brother started crying, and then my adrenaline started pumping because i thought whatever this thing was (i didn’t know at the time) was going to either kill me or severely hurt me, and i remember telling myself, “oh well, if i go down im going down with a fight”.
I know the evil one. It’s why I always notice so much bad when I try to do good. Every good action I do comes with backfires and failings. I used to think it was cool to be the bad guy, but then I grew up, and it seems I have a long way to go to distance myself from it. A lot of bad feelings and instincts that I thought were bad ass but now corrupt my good. I need to work through them if I want to be a real force for good in the world.
Thank you very much for this article. This article popped up in my suggested articles for today. Yesterday I acted like I would not like to act. Several times I have asked myself what happened. I did this as It was happening. I watched myself like an impartial observer as some of the behaviors occurred. Your words offered me a perspective where I could see what might be going on. Thank you so much for your powerful and healing words.
When I moved to the Rez with my late husband, I kept asking him what a skinwalker was. Being traditional he would never say. All he said if you keep Goodness in your heart, nothing can hurt you. I eventually I figured it out but I too would never speak of it. Having Navajo kids, I made sure I kept every tradition intact. I don’t take chances with my kids.
Not only applies to material world …. it’s spiritual/inside …. we are complicit in our own downfall daily ….. ignorance does not equal excuse nor grows forgiveness and patience inside. When one finds themselves with no family, community, or true friends … the road of life can seem impossibly difficult. The wisdom in this Elder, the gifts he leaves here… have been life preserving and saving for me. I haven’t the words to express or encompass my gratitude. Thank you Elder. Blessed are the wise and so happy my ears still hear, recognize and know truth when spoken.
First of all thank you for this article, it resonates strongly with everything I’ve been able to perceive and experience so far. I wanted to share this story because I don’t have these teachings yet intuitively I’ve acted out on these principles. I go to the forest often and generally through my life I’ve had a lot of strange paranormal phenomena always happening around me. It got to a point in my life in which I realized I was attracting all of what was happening to me because I did wanted to see beyond the illusion, I knew ever since I can remember that there were things I couldn’t put into words hiding right in front of me, all around me, pretending to be something it wasn’t. One of my most recent experiences was deep in the forest far away from civilization. I went camping with a friend and from the moment we set our tent I was feeling very strange so I just started to pray. I’m not religious and I don’t pray often but when I do it’s an impulse, almost like I can’t control it my spirit takes control. I was praying all night inside of the tent while my friend was outside making fire. Before he went into his tent, I came out to sing a prayer of protection. Again this is not something I do, it kind of just came out of me. Fast forward to later than night and we saw all of this beautiful small lights land on top of the trees around us and above us. The only reason we could see them it’s because our tent was see through on the top. It looked very similar to a tree decorated with lights but much more beautiful.
I love learning about the Navajo spiritual ways. God bless ! I recently found out I am part Navajo 🙏🏻 🙌 I have always felt a connection to the native ways, jewelry, music, dance, and always interested in learning about the old ways the stories such as these ones. I am Catholic, and i am spiritual. I feel a calling to learn more of what your grandfather speaks of. Thank you, i am so glad i came across your articles, and may the creator always watch over us all. 🙏🏻 May God the Creator bless you and all of us in this world 🙏🏻 I know evil is here walking the earth, and we all need to pray 🙏🏻 🤲 for each and every one safety and health. 🙏🏻 Amen 🙏🏻 ❤️
I want to thank you for sharing your teachings. Much of your ancestral wisdom contains things that have been shown to me in visions. I have been reticent to share too much with others as they don’t seem to give proper reverence to the truth. But your website gives me hope that I might find a way to share things in a way that will be useful sometime in the future. Blessings to you
I was contacted by a skinwalker. It tried to get me down to Arizona. I said “NOPE!” Moved to an area where no skinwalker can go. It was creepy. It took the form of my friends ‘ mom. Even their dad said she was not his his wife. He didn’t know what it was. My friends also said no to the skinwalker. I think my detection of this creature saved my friends and I.
Nimitztlazokamati temachtiani 🙏 I dreamt as a child that I was asked if I wanted to come to earth and I said yes. I’ve had dreams recently in which my ancestors lead me to ancient sites in what’s known today as the Americas, I searched them out and found them in reality. Your words make me feel closer to my Dine friends who are now my family.
Thank you, not only for sharing the knowledge that has been passed down, but for always demonstrating wisdom. Words and thoughts have power so great care must be taken in how we express ourselves. Thank you Mr. Brown and the whole team, not only for sharing your teachings but recording them for posterity.
our Grandfather always speaks great wisdom here, but this is SO important and so needed in these times- so many young people have been deceived into an obsession with the occult, there are even books for kids telling how to cast spells, how to contact your ‘spirit guide”. In the Christian church, too few priests or ministers EVER warn about these things in recent years. Thank you, sir; you are a treasure for us.
I’m Plains Cree and was asked by a cop if I saw the centaur after telling him that phantom passengers were a common thing for cops to witness, the fear in his eyes was something else to behold as the average cop has to maintain a professional attitude. It’s one thing to hear a relative say such things but hearing it from a cop gave me the chills, that was one of those “OMG that was REAL?” moments where it really starts to sink in. There are a lot of medicine men and women in our tribe, some good and some bad who have directly affected our lives.
Super Thankful for this website! I was literally just perusal this from start to end whilst sitting inside of my car all comfy and cozy after enjoying some small McDonalds Meal. And I was sat here feeling like an actual child again where you could just sit and listen to someone wise tell amazing stories/ facts and just be like so interested in every thing that was said and try to anticipate everything that is being said even if you didn’t understand. But, I absolutely agree there is a lot in this world we do not comprehend.
I’m Puerto Rican man from NYC and this old teacher speaks about things that are true today even in my world here. The evil, distractions, demons, obsession to material things it’s all true. I see people acting so crazy in the streets for whatever reasons but I know they weren’t born that way. Evil is real and it’s everywhere. That one teacher who molests students. That one police officer who steals money from evidence and sends people to prison who are innocent. The one family member who tries over and over to get off drugs. Evil is an influence that will never stop and if carrying a cross, a pouch of herbs, a necklace with a special stone or image of a Saint whatever keeps you strong in the path of righteousness use it! Keep it! When a man like this an elder of a tribe dies maybe his spirit is reachable somehow but generations of knowledge and love go with him. Learn from those who are humanitarians people whose knowledge is golden no matter where you come from this knowledge can never be erased from your mind but can be distracted if you lose your way! Be righteous with people not a bully or a demon. Thank you 🙏 for making this article.
Thank you for the teachings and reminder of being “family” in a nearer and wider sense. Integrity of goodness is hard to keep up with in this world full of noisy and nosy distractions. To find the own prayer for protection is a helpful advice. Especially when the sphere is toxic and the material space dense, pathways -covered with rubble and destroyed remains of betrayal and greed – clutter & plunder. Family in its deeper purpose seems to me to becoming part of the inner call for being — keeping and passing on— good. Thank you for speaking Diné 🌱🌸✨
I really appreciate all of your teachings. But I especially like this teaching, in part because I think we all are seeing some version of this resurgence of evilness around us now. Maybe it’s not so much of a resurgence as it is more of something recognizable than before. But I also appreciate this idea that if we show too much interest in them/it, then those entities can use us to do their bidding. That they can then attack us not just physically but also break apart our family system. This is mind blowing in its simplicity. It makes so much sense and I can think of a multitude of instances where this has happened to me or people around me. However, I won’t be speaking of it anymore.
He’s talking about what’s wrong in our world today! We have to be aware and know how to battle it if we are to survive! I know evil is all around… I’ve been personally attacked physically and it has taken its toll on me. Now I can’t work so I will be following Wally and learning. I have good faith and evil hates that so it bangs on me every opportunity it gets.
When I was a child about 12 years old, I made friends with 2 other girls close to my age, all of us had strong spiritual gifts so we stuck together, but as we grew up both of them leaned toward witchcraft while I kept to faith in god and knew my identity as a child of god. It got to the point where my friends were summoning demons that appeared as a shadow that followed me home, only appearing out of the corner of my eye, so I went to my mom and admitted that my friends decided to be witches and I had a dark spirit following me now. She was able to help me get rid of it, I cut ties with those friends after that, but its heart breaking that even children can get pulled into the dark side if they dont have a sure knowledge of their identity.
I find it incredible that the idea of a singular evil spirit whose sole purpose is to misguide people through subtle influence developed independently on two separate sides of the world. The Evil One sounds incredibly similar to how Iblis is described. Thank you for the articles. It’s been genuinely insightful.
I know it is hard to believe, but I have woken up on the other side multiple times…..but I don’t know if I woke up inside my true form, or if I woke up inside that which tries to control and influence me. I have felt it within me ever since I can remember. It has grown in power over time. The time I was at the other place the longest (perhaps 30 seconds at most), when I came back to my body here, it was in control….I could only see but it was performing all the movements, thankfully this was very short lived (less than a minute) before I gained control back over my body. After this happened, I began to get sicker and sicker over time….doctors could not find anything really wrong. I got to the point were I felt like it was over for me and I would die…but it was a sickness unlike any other, new thing hurt, new symptoms all the time, changing…unpredictable….I lost the ability to keep control over my mind and it was pure chaos, somehow I pulled myself back from it all, but I still feel the influence of that being/presence within me. I wonder if it is what you talk about here. Even though the worst of it is all over, I still do live with the pains everyday that doctors can not figure out. Changing my diet has helped tremendously though, and soon I plan to cut out the junk as well as dairy and go to eating mostly meat and plants.
Thank you for sharing all traditional stories.. I see that with my doctrine of “the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, why does it seem it the same teachings of the same story just told differently with different words? I feel connected to your teachings. I know my grandmothers I am told were Choctaw and maybe more tribes.. maybe that is why I feel the cities make me sick, I need to move back home to my country small farm life. My body is sick after years of a marriage falling apart and violent words and actions on me. The stress of this has made how get emotional and physical pain. I have 5 autoimmune diseases and my body is weak and tired. Can I get an elder’s help to heal from this?
In my dreams, I often escape, change, or rescue someone from hell. In one dream I had to save my niece. We were at her school and everything and it was so dark and she was under attack by a group of people. I grabbed her hand and told her to sing with me. As we sang it became brighter. I still remember the song. “I Am precious and beautiful. I am lovely and joyous”
I agree, when I got into energy work n the occult is when I had to face intergenerational trauma demons of my ancestry. As well I had to take on a larger amount of responsibility for myself and others to teach, to reflect, bear witness and awareness. Energy is very powerful force and a dark mind and heart will misuse it. I believe that’s why we are in spiritual warfare. Spiritual crises within ourselves our community and globally. I committed to self responsibility at a very young age, I served criminal youth, minorities in my community, prevention of abuse and family crisis, mental health, shelters, protected indigenous kids and youth from Abuse, took care of newcomers from other countries, serving our elders, holding sacred space for plant medicines etc. I truly believe the dark forces play a role here, we must learn, we must protect, we must open up our hearts and spirits more than ever. 🙏🙏🙏🙏 we are all called to being stronger, wiser, Strengthen our inner being and commit to service 🌷
The Trickster as I know Him is very good friends with Great White Spirit. His role is vital to maintain duality and divine law, as well as facilitating evil in this temporary realm we call Earth. Evil does not exist in the Eternal Realms and it is a shame that this aspect is so widely misunderstood. Earth’s primary purpose is to facilitate the birth of Eternal beings of energy and consciousness. This process can take 1000s of lifetimes for the individual and collectives. Free will allows you to choose between good and evil. It’s that simple. The ramifications are (potentially) Eternal. Only advice i would give to anyone who cares is: Choose unconditional love and compassion over sensual desire, attachments and greed with at least some level of consistency. Good luck on your travels and thank you for reading if you took the time!
I call them the choas makers, they will learn to do things to get others to believe their influence is supernatural, taking advantage of the good, and corrupting “spiritual” underatanding. When I healed myself, and The Creator connected with me, I learned its perspective, and that everyone is supposed to have that connection naturally. But there is only one spirit that is in everything. The chaos makers are among the suffering, and because they cannot feel the truth, they reject it, and oppress those who know, and/or are connected to The Creator. It is a very old problem; slavery, suffering, and being disconnected, and our struggle to stay on the path The Creator made for us.
Before I started to educate myself on the actual beliefs and traditions of the Indigenous Americans and First Nations people, I was writing a novel that involved a Skinwalker (as I then understood it) as the villain. It was a story about a young man in a small town who was of mixed Cree ancestry. As he was coming of age he discovers that his Italian side (Friulian specifically) had a supernatural tie to the old movement of the Benandanti, “Good Walkers”, a group of spiritualists who would hunt witches in spiritual form. The idea was to draw this rivalry between an Indigenous villainous spellcaster, essentially a witch, and a mixed hero who drew his spiritual powers from his European ancestry, as Native peoples are often portrayed as inherently magic and I wanted to avoid that. However, I was about halfway through it when I learned more about the struggles and beliefs of the various peoples of the Americas, and when I came across the fact that it was considered disrespectful to write about the Skinwalkers at all I felt awful. I stopped writing it after some soul-searching, deciding it was not a story for me to tell. Was a small shame, as I was proud of the primary characters and the strange plot, but ultimately it felt wrong to not only include something I knew so little about, but to attempt to commodify it into something I could sell? Never again.
Thank you for your service. There’s a story about a Marine during World War II who wanted to learn about these things. Without discussing all the details, let’s just say it didn’t turn out well for him or his family. Some keys never need to be picked up because it’s best for everyone if these doors stay closed. If you choose to pick up these keys and you mishandle them because you’re curious, your life will be over.
I went through a pretty traumatic experience nearly 10 years ago with what he speaks about. I wanted to die, it haunted my every waking moment. I finally come across the right people and over time, I learned how to know my real self! My soul! I now see how people are puppets to these non physical beings. I either see them in there eyes, feel them in peoples homes or just have a knowing something is feeding on certain people. Regardless if people believe in them or not, they 100% exist.
Thank you so much for this free wake up call. First time running in to your page and it changed my life in a second. I love playing article games and I enjoy YouTube on my free time despite that I own a company and work Monday through Friday but it’s a huge distraction in my life now that I hear everything you just said. I been distracted since I was 5 years old and I am 33 now. I always think about my family and the development of it but I never thought how distracted I really am from all this. I honestly feel like now I hate article games and I hate everything I been playing close attention too that isn’t really real or helping in any sort of way in the development of my life or family. I just can’t say it all but deep inside you changed my life. You deserve credit for it 😊 Thank you
What I love about aboriginal teachings is that it’s very simple and straight forward yet it has a profound effect on you and unlocks a lot of complexity within you. Contrary to the arrogant over-intellectualization of some religions and cults which are dressed in metaphors and allegories yet teach very little to the individual who hasn’t gone through the colonized education that would require to understand these topics in that format. It is this simple, you don’t need to over-analyze it or try to understand beyond that. Your spirit knows the truth and I’m sure this can resonate with whoever watches it. Thank you for sharing and allowing his teachings to live on.
I am Native American and Viking and I learned about all of these things b/c I was born with most of the Claire’s(Clairvoyance,Clairsenstence, etc),so slowly God/Source revealed to me what the gifts were and why I had them. Then the rest of the sacred knowledge came through deep trance’s/meditation sessions, etc.I use this knowledge to progress my Soul evolution and to help those that I am told by Source/God to help,etc..
I was very fortunate as a kid growing up. My life growing up as a Finnish child I always had Native American friends from the time I started school to this day in my life. Someone has always watched over me. My mother read to us at night the ways of native people and even the horrors of what others did to them. I’ve always remained close to respecting our forest and environment. It’s just natural to me. When he speaks about why they don’t talk about evil things I don’t question it. Somethings I question to have knowledge not to go down that path of evil. My beliefs are very close even in the way I carry myself thorough life to stay close to nature.
This is so much more helpful than what most people are putting out there. Thank you for sharing this wisdom. It is really deep in our modern culture a sickness where healers are taught to be sick as well. Much gratitude. I’m not from a native tradition but been figuring out a lot lf the things that been put for me in my path. I asked a few days ago for something like this, and it clicks with everything ly spirit teacher had taught me along with few people on sacred path. Much gratitude.
I totally understand keeping spiritual teachings a secret. My sister joined the Yoruba religion a while ago. I’d attend some of her events to support her. (Personally, I’m an agnostic.) I’d ask the people questions about certain rituals or decor, just to make conversation and be polite. And it always seemed like they gave me different answers or confused looks. My sister later told me that they had to learn to keep their teachings secret because white Christians would use their beliefs against them to oppress them. I don’t know if any of this stuff exists or what’s even out there, to be honest. Nevertheless, I’ve learned to not risk doing anything like whistling at night.
When I was 14, my friends And I came upon this older Navajo lady….she was down on her knees…in the canyon…looking up at an owl on the cliff…she was chanting and singing to this owl…she was completely naked…the owl flew to her and sat on her head after which she disappeared… The owl flew off but her clothes were still there…Ran home and told Grandma who asked who was the lady, we told her…she said I will let Grandpa know…Two weeks later we heard that the lady was found dead in her hogan with no visible signs of trauma. Grandpa did a ceremony for us and that was of that. True story.
I am a muslim listening to this, and i can say it’s like listening to the teaching of God. im sure Allah must have sent some messenger to these people as well.how amazing is that, that all religions,un corrupted, actual teaching basically teach of only one God warns us about the same evil commands us to live in harmony with nature and not to spread evil and corruption on earth and not to get distracted or interact with supernatural kind and literally recite protection prayers and guard yourself and conscious always of being answerable to Our Lord . I think someone as intelligent as you should give read to the Holy Quran .
Interesting to hear this Traditional perspective, that the alien stuff (such as on Secret of Skinwalker Ranch) is just a distraction that evil beings are causing. Having seen all of the episodes of that show, I found it really interesting that some sort of phenomenon exists, but also that it’s so hard to pin down exactly what it is.
Some evil/negative spirits are not to be spoken of because it may summon it into the self or others and possess or cause that person to commit an evil wrong! Such as crimes, unjustly behavior, illegal, immoral, etc.. negatively affected by the spirit. Keep your Corn Pollen Pouch on you all the time! Fascinating, Sabé, Sasquatch, Bigfoot is are beings of 2 World’s. Ours and the Spirit World. Thank you for sharing your information and knowledge! Miigwich my brothers and sisters! Much love to you! 🤗💐💕👣🦅

I have a few stories of guidance. I carry Apache stones because in Allegheny format something was messing with me. I had these stones, picked them up and said “I have no idea what you do but I need your help” after a conversation with a spirit he said “you’re safe tonight” and it all stopped. Recently something happened and a spirit I seen as a kid (my sister and I called him Chief) showed up to tell me to find an elder because a legitimate elder will kniw who I am before I know who he is. He said I need an elder. I can’t, in Western NY there’s a rez all around me, but no elder that I’m aware of. One of the hardest things to find is what my guides are telling me to find
I was once cursed by a loved one … they dark ones came for me… I turned on the TV and turned it to the Christian website … the native ministry happened to be on and it seemed like the dark one used the websites to try to coerce me to give up my will … I again thank you and thought I would share that experience… the A.I. GOOGLE was an infant at the time. I hope that all that have watched this article read my words and take it into consideration. What we see on our phones is only Googles perception of who we are … and Google can be manipulated by the dark ones.. ❤ and light for you all
Thank you. It’s good to hear the Navajo people and many other people have kept the Word, and know who the Fallen are, and their leader the evil one. Those demons are quite literally the dead children of the Fallen….some of them were giants, others were little people. God placed a curse on their Souls when they passed away during the Flood. They are forced to roam the Earth in the spirit realm. There was no place found for them in heaven, and no place found for them in hell. They are neither man or angel, but an Abomination that never should have been. That’s why they listen to the evil one, because the evil one is even the Ruler over their Parents, the fallen angels. And their Parents and the evil one will be known as the Aliens. And yes they do have advanced technology. And yes they too are Trapped here on the Earth. Their leader was hurled down to the Earth in the days when God created Adam and Eve, and he has been trapped here ever since. The other fallen have been here almost as long, a lot of them ended coming down and joining the evil one, and a lot of them got trapped here because they took wives and defiled their bodies, and were handed down punishment before the flood as a result of all that. They will be walking Free in the Public again one day, if not already. Up to the same old Tricks. There is nothing new under the Sun. Thank you Sir. A lot of us non Native Americans are finally waking up and putting two and two together and need to listen to our Elders who actually do know what they are talking about.
I am just staring to learn about Native American religion. I am a dedicated Christian and this article has very striking similarities. This got me thinking about how the Bible says that everyone has had at least one chance with God. Even those across the ocean. This got me wondering if the Native American religion(s) are close enough to the teachings of God to be acceptable. I find myself well educated in the Bible and would really like to tackle this steep climb. Maybe I’m totally wrong, but if anyone in the comments would like to give me pointers, I’d really enjoy it!
Like many other Native kids my 3 younger brothers and I were raised by our grandparents and our aunt on the reservation, we were extremely close, our mom wasn’t around until I was 8, that’s when she and her new husband took us away, to us they were strangers, I knew she was our mom from the pictures grandma had of her, but we had no idea who he was. We were at grandmas for all the holidays, summer vacation, anytime we were out of school for a week or more we were back on the rez. When mom came back into the picture that’s when the family bond started to break, mom didn’t like being on the rez, she was an apple, red on the outside, white on the inside, she single handedly broke our families close knit bond. As we got older, we left her and our second dad and went back to rez, I was the first to leave, I ran away when I was 17, but, I was smart enough to graduate from high school first, within 4 years we had all left her and moved back home, to the rez, when grandma died, so did all the family get togethers, mom tried to take over everything, she was the oldest and she felt whatever she said was the law, she had turned into a dictator, and yes, she was evil.
Thanks! I do agree. Regarding skinwalkers, I would like to share some experiences. I have good results protecting me with an array of small magnets, or an covering with magnetizable iron. Covering sensitive body parts, like the neck, head or the belly. It is the type of degenerate humans drifting in-between worlds I have to endure. But after all, not to be distracted is basic. And yes, these beings regularly try to hurt our relationships.
Reminds me of this scene Luke : There’s something not right here… I feel cold. Death. Yoda : (points to a cave opening beneath a large tree) That place… is strong with the dark side of the Force. A domain of evil it is. In you must go. Luke : What’s in there? Yoda : Only what you take with you. 10:09 This part right here… my fathers nickname was pappa wolf. Always have a wolf pendant to remind me of him. Also had a pitbull that passed last year and i swear she became what the Japanese call an Inugami for my son. Im not sure if it’s specifically a skinwalker but it happened back in Arizona after hearing coyote calls, which normally i love hearing. I always feel calmer with coyotess in the area. Something about canines in general with me just calm me down. But this WAS NOT a coyote. I can’t really explain it more than that. Then had nightmares of a deformed looking woman right outside my back door… the crazy thing i found a wierd footprint. I know Arizona animals and no bird is that big. I even checked one of the neighbors who had emus, nothing. It was behind a mesquite tree in view of my back door. Then one day i accidentally dropped some ashes from a sage stick that i pretty much only ever used to help me with my anxiety. The nightmares stopped that day for about a week. Then i found the same wierd prints on my wifes car… after that i took my last sage stick, challenged the thing and said “this family is protected by God and the Wolf. Get the fuck out. Im not prey and can trace my own northern European ancestors to the Berserkers and Ulfhednar.
Couldn’t we by the power of our minds create our own meaningful spiritual practices without them being tied to already known entities. It seems like intention is one of the most important things when it comes to spirituality. Say I shoot a deer for food, ask for lasting protection from the buck spirit to bless the skin, make leather out of it, find a stone with some sort of protective intentions on it. Then make a leather bracelet of say protection? Could it work like that is basically my question as well
I cannot express the amount of gratitude I have for you sharing these traditional teachings, and I’m hoping it is OK for me to share them on TikTok and repost. Of course, I absolutely will be giving credit where credit is due. I believe our entire society has been convoluted and it’s teaching like this at the world truly needs so thank you for sharing.
I went to the social security office and the guy at the window I was called to asked me what I was. I was getting my paperwork out for him so I said “hang on I’m getting out my things” he then said “no what ARE you? When you walked over here everyone stopped and stared” I said “yeah I get that a lot no reason why” he proceeded to tell me he was a certified witch and skinwalkers come in and out of the social security office often and take the form of other people and identities from people but the skinwalker term he used was the Navajo name that I had never heard someone else say.
From this traditional account the Navajo have a belief that evil wins through “distractions” away from the good and that this can lead to physical illness. It is useful cultural resilience that can be drawn on more widely today to counter propaganda, psychopaths and the physical and mental health deterioration caused by resulting stress.
I have witnessed a lot of weird stuff. Last year i was in Maroc and whilst i was there i did discover that i had been sleeping in the courtyard where a couple of months earlier a young man had allegedly hung himself. I was there in Maroc to assist my friends son who is diagnosed schizophrenic and autistic ( like myself ) anyway i was there to assist him to help his grandmother remove an evil imposter a cuckoo out of her house. He was abusing her and cooking up doula and all sorts of dangerous shenanigsns were going on in that house. I had to evict the man out of the house and protect my friends son and mother. All the while sleeping in the courtyard where young man was hung. A couple of months earlier ( allegedly by suicide ) So anyway we were threatened with knives etc. It was dark. And demonic Later i found the hanging ropes which were knotted in very strange ways . And strange tbings were tied to the ropes. I did disentangle the ropes and i did not tell my friends what i had found as i did not wish to distress them. I can see things that i mainly keep to myself unless i am called to share them 🔥🔥
I’m part native american on my grandmother’s side. Ive heard it said that makes me part of the tribe when I’m decended from the side of the woman. I’m apparently Algonquin and my grandfather was a cheif. I have always tried to have deep respect for the native side of my herritage and never do anything so foolish as to disrespect it. I hope if i have any family left alive among them that i may meet them one day.
I have a question. I am Diné, but never been to the rez. My mom is white and I was raised by her. My dad and his mom died when I was a baby. So I never learned anything about my culture. I knew I was Native and I was friends with other Native kids in California. I later was attracted to witchcraft due to it’s earth based philosophy. I consider myself an herbalist healer and witch. But it sounds like other Diné people consider the title of witch as evil. But that is not what I mean when I call myself a witch. I use the term to describe anyone who practices magic. Medicine Men practice magic and they are healers. How is that different from being a witch? I guess it all comes down to terminology and intent. I am not evil. I don’t believe in white or black magic. Nature is both light and dark and one cannot exist without the other. Nature is balance and respect. I would love to have a conversation about this and learn more.
As a student of Tibetan Buddhism, I really like what was said about people who become somewhat obsessed with aliens, cryptids etc… In the teachings I learn, everything is a projection of the mind, and so, while cryptids are “real” they are to be thought of as any other sentient being. Focusing unnecessarily on anything other than love, peace, compassion, and becoming the purest, least attached you can in an effort to see through an enlightened mind, is a distraction. Experience, acknowledge, learn from the experience if that is its purpose, and let it go. While the First Nations peoples, of the land we call the USA, have different expressions of the nature of reality, to Tibetans, I see much in common. The way they look, the music, the dancing, and much of the philosophies. Aside from my studies into the Tibetan way of going about things, I’ve lived among Tibetans, in India, and the similarities are quite striking sometimes. I wonder about the migrations over thousands of years. Environmental factors and experience affect culture and beliefs, which boils down to time available to focus on the ‘beyond the physical’ vs survival of the physical body. So maybe this is where divergence happened. Tibetan Buddhism came from Hinduism 2500 years ago and so the “American” First Nations I speak of would have carried some Hindu beliefs across the Bering Bridge (if that’s how it happened) and then learned their own way of applying it to the land that supported them, which was best for them.
Is bigfoot evil only? I saw one manifest years ago. My family was also going through a hard time then. It was very real. Very physical. I just refuse to believe though that they’re exclusively evil. I guess i am biased as I really am interested in other peoples encounters and learning as much as i can about them to understand better what I saw. Is it better I leave it alone? Will it bring negitive energy to think of my encouter? It didn’t hurt me but it could have. Why did it reveal itself to me? These are questions that I really wish I could find answers to. Thanks for your teachings
The people asking more crunch need to listen to this man is people know and they have been around a lot longer before white man came along hundreds and hundreds of this generation I’ve passed these stories down they know things we couldn’t even imagine I’ll give you an example I have been psychic since I was 7 I know things I see things a lot of people couldn’t even imagine Arthur Finley College taught me a lot of things and help me in my development over the last 12 years I walked away from my spiritual connections and spiritual groups I had good reason
I am glad I am a sceptic person.😂 I question everything i hear. Particular when it comes to religion and wisdom. Just be becourse the same things are being said by millions, does not make it true. ✌🏻💚🌳.. I say to my self. Ooooom. Makes my self quite and then I feel the energy that comes from the person who speak. 😊.
Half my life i was ignorant to this knowledge. I was in abusive and dysfunctional households and environments and no guiding hand or word of wisdom to guide me. It was worn down by the years until i was so weak i was attacked by demons and they turned my life upside down and caused irreversible pain. Casting them out, learning to look to the Creator and look to the Good things, live beautifully, ive watched my life improve drastically and my own thoughts and behavior are becoming more beautiful and good.
Thank you sir. Kinda funny, I spooked myself. I was listening to this in the background while working and when you switched to Navajo, for about 3 seconds I thought I was having a stroke. I’m such a moron… Edit: It’s interesing that you use the word “adversary” much like “Satan” means adversary. One of the differences is that Satan is like… Yahweh’s prosecutor who argues against the worthiness of the human soul. A lot of Christians seem to forget or ignore that “Satan” and Yahweh are on the same side lol. Good times!
The evil forces are very strong…but prayer and God is stronger. It’s not always easy to work in his name, because there are greedy, bad people who use witchcraft to bind the energy of someone else and who want to use it for their own plans. So one has to protect himself. I didn’t knew what kind of strong evil power exists, it’s disturbing. But I freed myself by the power of prayer….its stronger than every demonic stuff.
Wait wait wait… So the more you learn about these evils, the more likely you are to be contacted by them and then they try to recruit you? So how does that work, if many Navajo elders know these things? Wouldn’t they all be swayed to join? Shouldn’t they all be teaching about evil, as to fight it? If the ones withholding the information (not you since you uploaded this article) are not spreading awareness, wouldn’t this weaken the tribes? Because they cant better understand the evils and possibly fight back?

The one time in my life I was able to astrall project… December of 2017. I Immediately went into the home of the evil one… And permanently weakend it… Using all of my spiritual might. Unfortunately I only had about a minute in my astral projection mode… Otherwise I would’ve turned it to ashes.

God is coming back. Maybe in our lifetime. Chaos has run amok too long and too many different cultures have similar prophecies. I dont know bout a rapture, but i do believe we are seeing this age’s sun setting. Maybe its already set (i hope) and we are in the dark night. The new sun will rise in due time and evil will have no room here. Think about the atom. Positive charge sits peacefully bound to neutrality in balance, while the negative charge flies around chaotically at the outer bounds. Stay strong brothers and sisters. If you have the seed of righteousness withjn your soul then i dont care what name you gave it, you are a follower of our one true God. Our specific Creator who went throufh the trouble of whooping the gods of Egypt
I moved away from my mom and something made me hate her but even now I still love her and we been trying to heal. Not having my mom took pieces away. I love my mom, I love my mom!! She is cares! She loves and I didn’t see it! I suffer nightmares that determines or I have premonition of my death that’s why I neglected family. I was afraid of my own family faults and I was on a path of suicide.
I’ve used the Goetia. How do I stop the malevolent entities from attacking my family? They dont harm me, but they harm my little brother badly. They took his wife and son, who were my nephew and sister-in-law, in a car accident. My brother has RA, Lupus, all of his ribs were broken in the car accident that killed his family, and as of yesterday, he has shingles all over his body. He’s a good person and doesn’t deserve this.
Ephesians 2 : 2-3, And you (before Christ) were dead in your trespasses and sins, 3, in which you used to walk when you conformed to the ways of this world and of the ruler of the power of the air (air-waves), the spirit (adversary) who is now at work in the sons of disobedience. Who are the true saved people (spiritual Israel) of God (Yah) according to scripture ? Christ tells us in : Revelation 12 : 17, Rev 14 : 12-13, & Rev 22 : 11-15, those who keep the commands of the Father & have the testimony of Jesus (Yahusha) Messiah in their lives. 💕🕊🙏 Christ said in : Luke 11: 28, blessed are those who hear the word of God and keep it!” 1 John 2 : 15 – 16, Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, love for the Father (God/Yah) is not in them. For everything in the world; the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life comes ‘Not’ from the Father (Yah/God) but from the world (adversary). How to Love God & others, & be pleasing in God’s eyes according to the Bible : 1 John 5 : 2 – 5, 2, By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God and follow His commandments. 3, For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments. And His commandments are not burdensome. 4, For whatever is born of Elohim (God) overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world— our faith. 5, Who is he who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus (Yahusha) is the Son of Elohim (God) ?
“What we do know is that adults accepted wild accusations by children as hard evidence. Today the Salem Witch Trials remain a cautionary tale of the dangers of groupthink and scapegoating and the power of fear to manipulate human perception.” Unfortunately the same applies in our era too. People trust the words of anyone but the doctors in regards to COVID and vaccination matters. All this paranoia about the so-called “side effects of the vaccines” stems from the fear of the unknown and groupthinking. Shame. You would think we would have evolved after almost 4 centuries.
Some studies discovered that a fungus had been growing on the wheat in Salem. The fungus produced the same chemical that is actively present in LSD. To quote the New York Times, “The symptoms resulted from eating grains contaminated by a parasitic fungus known as Claviceps purpura, or ergot, one of the components of which is a hallucinogen related to lysergic acid diethylamide—LSD.”
