What Is The Chakra Required For Flying Raijin?

The Flying Thunder God Jutsu is an s rank space-time ninjutsu created by Tobirama Senju, which involves marking any solid surface with ink to teleport. This technique requires exceptional chakra control and immense speed, as the user must precisely place the seals beforehand. The technique can be used indefinitely without much loss of chakra, depending on the size of the object being teleported.

To teleport anything other than the user themselves, one must use their chakra. In chapter 4 of Two Blue Vortex, Boruto manages to track Code’s chakra across space-time and uses the Konoha pin he gave to one of the targets. The user can then use their chakra to teleport to the desired marker.

The Flying Thunder God requires huge chakra reserves, which Minato had a pretty big one. The chakra needed depends on the size of the summoning being you are going to summon or reverse summon. It seems to be extremely difficult to learn, so it requires extreme chakra control and a vast knowledge of sealing jutsu.

This technique cuts down on chakra cost and usage time, allowing its practical use as a battlefield technique but not being very efficient. Minato or Shinsoku would use this technique a lot. The jutsu doesn’t seem to have any blindspots, as even the chakra usage is minimal, meaning it can be used indefinitely without much loss.

The Flying Thunder God can most effectively be used by marking an opponent’s body with the technique formula, allowing the user to teleport to them at anytime. However, anything that the user is holding, contacting, or linked with their chakra will teleport with them, but this requires additional chakra.

The complex chakra transformation required to traverse space-time into three parts is broken down into three parts, with each member handling one part in the process.

📹 Explaining the Flying Raijin Jutsu

Yeah Sasuke just keep on pretending Amenotejikara is as cool as Flying Thunder God is …

Does Flying Raijin need a lot of chakras?

The Flying Thunder God is a technique that allows users to teleport to a technique formula’s location at any time, regardless of distance or different dimensions. It shares similarities with the Summoning Technique, as it allows users to teleport objects, objects, or both. In combat situations, the Flying Thunder God can be most effectively used by marking an opponent’s body with the technique formula, allowing the user to attack them first or appear at their side when they try to escape. This is similar to a juinjutsu, where anyone marked with the technique formula is essentially sentenced to death.

The Flying Thunder God also provides a defensive option, allowing users to teleport away from an opponent’s attacks. This is often applied to projectile weapons, such as Minato’s special kunai, which can be scattered around a battlefield to create multiple teleportation destinations. Both Tobirama and Minato were known as the fastest shinobi during their lifetimes, but their fame was also attributed to the Flying Thunder God. During the Third Shinobi World War, Minato’s extensive use of the Flying Thunder God led to his nickname as “Konoha’s Yellow Flash”.

Tobirama could intercept and redirect a Truth-Seeking Ball mid-detonation, while Minato could escape Kamui mid-capture. Minato’s ability to dodge A’s Lightning Release Chakra Mode led to him being dubbed the fastest ninja ever lived.

Did Minato have a lot of chakra?

Minato, a powerful warrior with large chakra reserves, was skilled in summoning Gamabunta and teleporting a tailed beast using the Flying Thunder God Technique. His chakra control was refined, demonstrating through his creation of the Rasengan and ability to weave hand seals with one hand. Minato’s fighting style focused on speed, often excluding traditional methods like hand seals. He was taught by Jiraiya to summon toads and demonstrated skill in barrier ninjutsu and Shadow Clone Technique. Minato was also adept at detecting chakra signatures from great distances and was proficient in nature transformations like Fire, Wind, Lightning, and Yin and Yang Release.

Minato developed the Rasengan, the highest level of shape transformation, after observing the Tailed Beast Ball’s nature. This technique provides an edge in combat as it requires no hand seals and is self-sustaining. Minato’s mastery allowed him to form the Rasengan with either hand instantly and vary its size from standard to Big Ball Rasengan-sized. However, combining the Rasengan with his own chakra nature was too difficult to complete before his death.

Who has unlimited chakra in Naruto?

Kaguya, a Ten-Tails jinchuriki with considerable chakra, was the sole character in Naruto capable of creating a Truth-Seeking Ball of sufficient magnitude to annihilate the planet. This exemplified her proficiency in Kekkei Moro techniques and her capacity to utilize her substantial chakra.

Is Naruto faster than Minato?

Naruto, utilising his Six Paths Chakra in its entirety, demonstrates superior capabilities in terms of velocity and the deployment of “God” level attacks, establishing him at a more advanced level in comparison to Tobirama and Minato.

Why Naruto didn t use Flying Raijin?

Why Naruto didn t use Flying Raijin?

Naruto, a character in the Naruto franchise, is known for his technical and strategic abilities but is more comfortable using his power, stamina, and speed. His teleportation ability is considered redundant for Naruto, as his speed is believed to make his in-battle movement comparable to the Fourth Hokage. Boruto inherits a technique from his bloodline, but fans are curious about how he learned it. Only two people in the Naruto franchise master this technique, Tobirama Senju and Minato Namikaze.

However, neither of these characters are alive, and only three people in Minato’s guard are technically able to teach this technique. This leaves the question of how Boruto learned the Flying Raijin, as Minato masters the technique by himself. The Flying Raijin technique is likely written down as the Leaf Village’s secret technique, and Boruto would have needed to sneak back into the Leaf Village to steal or memorize this information. While it is not impossible for Boruto to learn the Flying Raijin, it is improbable.

Is Boruto Flying Raijin better than Minato?

Boruto’s version of the Flying Raijin differs significantly from Minato’s, as he uses it to travel between dimensions and teleport between them. Boruto has yet to mark a living being, but plants a toad that carries a marked object on a person and can teleport. This is the biggest disadvantage to Boruto’s Flying Raijin, but he turns this weakness into a strength.

Boruto also uses toads to plant a mark on a person, allowing him to save various locations for teleportation and communicate with them. The toads can tell Boruto which mark to teleport and offer advice in battle.

Minato relied heavily on the destructive Rasengan created for Kushina, which was passed down through generations. Boruto’s version of the Rasengan, known as the Rasengan Uzuhiko, is the deadliest, as it is an instant death sentence for anyone hit by it.

In summary, Boruto’s version of the Flying Raijin differs significantly from Minato’s, as he uses it to travel between dimensions and communicate with people. His unique approach to using the toads and Rasengan Uzuhiko allows him to use it effectively in battle.

Will Boruto surpass Minato?

Will Boruto surpass Minato?

Boruto, the main character in Boruto: Two Blue Vortex, has achieved a significant milestone by surpassing his father Naruto and his grandfather Minato by improving his strongest jutsu and signature move, the Flying Thunder God. Boruto’s Flying Raijin, which uses toads for marking locations, has unique limitations and advantages. Boruto’s Rasengan Uzuhiko is a deadly technique, and mastering Perfect Sage Mode may be next.

Boruto has attained an even higher level in the skills Minato was extremely proficient in, and the most surprising technique he has learned while away is the Flying Thunder God, a jutsu created by Tobirama Senju but perfected by Minato. The official database of Boruto reveals that Boruto’s Flying Thunder God is completely different from Minato’s.

Can Boruto defeat Minato?

Boruto, currently operating at full capacity, may be subject to Minato’s scrutiny, akin to Kakashi’s inaugural bell test. Borushiki may possess a superior opportunity, yet he has yet to exhibit noteworthy achievements.

How powerful is the Flying Raijin?

How powerful is the Flying Raijin?

The Flying Raijin Jutsu, a Shinobi technique, is similar to the Summoning Jutsu in that it requires a mark and allows instantaneous space-time travel. However, it defies normal shinobi speed limitations, as seen in the Second and Fourth Hokage, who were considered the fastest shinobis due to their lightning-fast teleportation. Minato tweaked the Second Hokage’s special technique to better suit his fighting style, with his Flying Raijin mark allowing him to sense the surroundings, providing critical battlefield information.

Tobirama’s version required direct contact with the target, while Minato’s perfected version allowed him to teleport anything his chakra was in contact with, allowing him to teleport others not in direct contact to his target location.

What is the range of the Flying Raijin?

The Minato Flying Raijin technique has the capacity to transcend the conventional limitations of spatial and temporal dimensions, encompassing a range that is seemingly limitless. The distance traversed is contingent upon the dimensions of the object being teleported, rather than the quantity of chakra employed, as the concept of distance is not applicable in this context.

How does Flying Raijin work?

How does Flying Raijin work?

The Flying Thunder God Technique is a powerful kenjutsu technique that allows users to teleport themselves or objects within seconds. The user places a special seal or “technique formula” to mark an intended destination, allowing them to enter a dimensional void at will and instantly transport themselves to the location. This technique can affect anything in contact with the user or connected to their chakra, allowing them to teleport objects or people.

The marking formula never disappears from a marked target. Tobirama, the original user, is known for his impressive skills, including deflecting Obito Uchiha’s orb and returning it before it could expand. He has also created derived techniques from the technique, such as the Flying Thunder God Slash, which compliments his kenjutsu prowess by incorporating instantaneous teleportation. Another derived technique is the Mutually Instantaneous Revolving Technique, which allows Tobirama to switch places with another Flying Thunder God Technique user, as demonstrated with Minato Namikaze and a surprise attack on the jinchūriki. The technique’s effectiveness is evident in its ability to teleport objects and people, and its ability to be used in various situations.

  • My favorite part about Minato is that there was nothing extraordinary about him other than his skill. He had nothing to increase his power, other than nine tails state during his reanimation. He had no ocular jutsu, nothing like the sharingan, and he wasn’t even that good at sage mode. He was just an insanely talented, regular shinobi.

  • Imagine being in a war. Imagine that war being fought with fireballs, bolts of lightning, dragons made of water, spliting the earth with handsing and nearly unstoppable blades made of wind. Now, naturally you’d think most countries and housing centers have strong fighters to defend them. Also naturally those fighter don’t locate in the center of the housing, they keep guard on on the borders or near them to stop the enemy, in order to protect the inner workings of the housing location, the farmers, fresh water suplies etc. Now imagine that someone can simply touch something, like a bag of rice, a plank on the bottom of a cart or even clothes of one of your fighters or even the fighter themselves and the spot touched becomes an instantaneus spot for an enemy fighter to get behind your lines. He can even get in other fighters with him. Now you can’t simply have your biggest “guns” out there, they must remain close as well, since you must keep vigilant over every are that has supplies or objects being brought from outside. You must also vet near every object for a mark about the lenght of a palm. Suddenly the question isn’t “Isn’t Hiraishin no jutsu OP”, the REAL question is “how did any other village keep the war going, with Minato tap dancing on the balls of their warmachines?”

  • I like the Flying Raijin a lot because it shows how resourceful Tobirama was in developing Jutsu to counter the Sharingan. “A hyper perception kekkai genkai? Fuck that, I’m gonna learn how to teleport.” People can hate on Tobirama’s dislike of the Uchiha clan, but he’s a total badass and genius. I like that he was so motivated by war and his experience with the Uchiha clan that he developed so many world changing Jutsu. Think of how many things would have been different if he never invented even just the Flying Raijin alone.

  • I think that it works like this, Some chakra would be put into each seal(just a little), and then when one of the users wanted to teleport they would transfer all of there chakra into the seal, and that could make them teleport. They could also try to throw a kunai while they are in the teleport void, and that would make them go out of the void and then back in because instead of going in the void for that split second they would just use the normal world as the void.

  • Great article. I was hoping that you could do a article about Jiraiya you know explaining about his strength and how powerful he really is. I mean in the first part of the show Pre-Shippuuden he was shown has one of if not the strongest of characters i mean people like Kisame and Itachi doubted they could beat him working together with out major sacrifice made on there part and thats when he had naruto and later a knocked out sasuke to worry about. Hell even pein admitted that if jiraiya new about his abilities before hand he would have lost to him and this is coming from a man that took on the entire ninja force of the leaf. If that isn’t enough Obito was against using the Edo jutsu to bring him back when he was ok bringing ninja like the past kages. So i was hoping you can do a article about him.

  • Man most of your articles are insanely good. Amongst all the articles I’ve seen so far I believe that you’ve have an awesome job in about 90 percent of them. Your articles are highly meticulous and detailed and cover almost all te areas up well that can be said atleast for almost all the articles I’ve seen so far though in a few articles you’ve missed to take certain things into account which I think could’ve affected and altered the outcome but still no denying that you’re good swakage. Man I’ve a request though. I know you mostly make articles about naruto characters and cover the narutoverse and that you in your versus battles you compare characters who’s physical feats are quite known ie you cover characters from animes that revolve are physical fights and battles like naruto. I request that you also try like a battle of intellects between some of the smartest characters in anime and in fiction in general. You know like who’ll prevail in a battle of wits between L and Lelouch or between light or Lelouch or L or conan you know something like that. I think a battle of wits will be quite an intriguing article. Now I know comparing and scaling physical strengths and skills is easier than mental and cognitive skills and I understand that comparing mental and intellectual prowess is far more of a complex task since it requires making a lot of assumptions and hypothesis but I believe that a article which could be that awesome is worth experimenting for.

  • Having met and married Kusina of Uzamaki clan, known for their sealing jitsu, Minato picked up a deeper understanding of seal techniques. It was said that Kusina taught Minato sealing jitsus. This enabled him to easily improve the Flying ThunderGod techniques. Flying T G is closely related to sealing and summoning. Kind of like when someone summons a beast or a weapon using a scroll. One can reverse summon oneself where ever there is a seal.

  • 1)what if naruto got orochimaru curse marks 2)what if obito wasn’t dead and will itachi be able to kill him during the clan massacre 3)what if naruto was jinchuriki of other tailed beast(other than kurama) 4)what if madara became the first hokage 5)what if danzo became the third hokage PLEASE DO ANY OF THIS!!!!!!! i really wanted to know what would have happened..

  • one thing people dont give minato credit for is his natural affinity to the technique. could any of us be THAT good instantly teleporting around? even if we had the same skill level and chakra, we wouldn’t be as good as him. imagine teleporting somewhere in combat and having to process your placement from the teleportation and the enemy’s movements. imagine having to react to the raikage’s (not raikage at the time) speed and teleporting accordingly. he did it effortlessly. he wasnt the fastest just because he could teleport instantly. his reaction time and overall wit was also one of the fastest. also people dont really talk about how he can determine his pose when he teleports. when he teleports behind obito, his body is automatically in the perfect position to rasengan him. minato completely changed his body’s posture in an instant.

  • 飛雷神 is the literal mean of “飛” is flight or flying, literal mean of “雷” is thunder or thunderbolt, literal mean of “神” is theos or god. 時空間忍術・飛雷神の術 is literal meaning of time and space sneaking art – flight thunder god art. By the way, the difference literal mean between “雷” is thunder, “電” is lightning.

  • How can a shinobi unlock the Flying Raijin Jutsu?. Because Minato,Naruto and Tobirama are the only one who have use it in the entire series. Tobirama and Minato are not connected at all and Minato has it so does that mean anyone with enough chakra can performed? and how does one know the seal for one to use it since Tobirama and Minato have diferent seal marcs so is it one seal marck for person and how can someone know whats hes seal marck.

  • Swagkage, you should’ve covered why people in-universe confused shunshin with FTG. This would help the people irl, confusing right now, in your comments section. There’s also the implication that Tobirama and Minato are 1337 programmers. They plant the seal for the technique all over the place, yet nobody’s ever cracked and reverse-engineered it, even though you know villages would love to have the ability.

  • The ammount of chakra needed to teleport some one, is directly proportional to the ammount of chakra that the person who´s teleportating holds. An example of this happens when minato teleports the kyubi during konoha´s attack and when he teleports the whole shinobi alliance; in both cases, Minato gets exhausted due the huge ammount of relative chakra he´s moving.

  • One thing to add to this would be that both Minato and Tobirama both had incredible sensory skills. Which allowed them to fly away when danger was close and appear somewhere safe. Evidences would be, when we see Minato vs the third Riakage, and how close the Riakage gets to Minato every time and how Minato knew where and when to jump too safely. I would think this would be why it was forbidden. Only highly skill sensory type or people with the sharingan could use it with out falling victim to jumping somewhere where someone is waiting for you.

  • I know I seen this article late, but I Assume Tobirama is better than the Minato at the Flying Raijin in certain ways. Such as when Obito Summons the 10 tails to use 4 Bijuu Damas. Tobirama asked Minato if he could Teleport 2 of them which may mean he’s able to teleport the other two himself. (or it’s becuz Minato lost an arm :\\)

  • It’s also implied that distance is chakra based. So even if you’ve got GODHOOD level 3 Raijin (not real to my knowledge) if you’ve got a small reserve it’s useless. This is what made Minato a beast. His chakra reserves…… and Kushina falling for him (which got him the jutsu). Also I’d think having to “think” on which formula to port to might be an issue for early users or inept ones (if Minato raised Naruto that’d be interesting) popping in not where you wanted but a nearby formula. Even injuring or killing some users early in life.

  • I may be wrong but I don’t think the markings are needed to use the flying rajin. If you pay attention minatos movements in storm he instantly teleports without a marking or even throwing his kunai. It’s only when he uses flying rajin level 2 where he needs a marking. My guess is that level 1 has a limited distance it can be used but doesn’t require a marking while level 2 is vice versa

  • there’s this command to all shinobi saying “if you see yellow flash of konoha, flee right away”. means he can kill you easily, but if you survive, he left you a raijin mark which means when you return to village you are a trojan horse. minato could pop outta nowhere in the middle of the night and slaughter the entire village in the blink of an eye. that’s how dangerous that man is.

  • It seems to only have limit on mass as he needed signs to portal the 9-tails beast bomb in the leaf village and he showed some temporary exhaustion after porting the entire shinobi force. But that being said since he can flash himself near instantly enough times to chain his lightning-style into a continuous circuit with no conducting agent (lightning moves at 1/3 the speed of light) it’s very likely that the cost is greatly reduced by more skillful use

  • I wonder if it would be possible to alter the formula so that it sends just the target to another marker, without needing to cover them in chakra. That way you could mark someone then teleport them into a trap – could be as simple as a tweaked Barrier Method Formation or into some other Shinobi for a surprise attack. Throw in some Genjustsu to disorientate the target further and you give your opponents another reason to avoid coming anywhere near you.

  • Since Kakashi lost his sharingan could he use the flying thunder God technique to give him an extra advantage when using chidori? He has more chakra since he has no sharingan so chakra reserves shouldn’t be a problem and he should definitely be intelligent enough to use the technique on at least the second hokages level right?

  • okay so this is gonna be a stupid question especially since i havent seen boruto ive only heard of whats sorta happened so far, but i just wanna know what swags opinion on this is, lets say hypothetically, minato was alive, or even just an edo tensei again some how; if he marked that one otsutsuki that went to the past to attack naruto, would minato be able to teleport there? i dont really care if theres a solid answer or not nut most of my naruto knowledge comes from what i understand from the show, and then from swag and seth. like i said, stupid question but i genuinely want to know swags opinion on this, like even if minato had kcm, if he tagged the guy, would he be able to go to the past?

  • There are some things i don’t fully understand about this technique.. 1) Why’s the Kunai designed like that? 2) Are there any difference between 2nd Hokage’s technique & 4th’s technique? If there’s no difference, then why did 2nd compliment 4th about using the technique better than the 2nd? Did Minato somehow upgrade the technique? 3) The technique works with the “marking”. It doesn’t matter how far you are, as long as you’re marked, you can instantly teleport to where the “marking” is. Then how did Minato able to send ten tails Bomb attack far away to the sea during the war? Did he somehow “mark” the Bijuu Dama?

  • @swagkage Can you please clarify something for me. So in Naruto the movie “Road to Ninja”, when Naruto is fighting Obito in Menmas body, he hits him with the rasengan just like Minato did. To me it looked like he used the Flying thunder God Jutsu, but I could be wrong. In short my question is, can Naruto use the Flying thunder God Jutsu?

  • Summed up: Seals can go on anything. You can teleport to any seal you have ever placed instantly with anything you want. You don’t even have to go with it. Minato put a bojuudama through one of those fuckers. Low chakra consumption. It’s like going through a void (like kamui) and being spat right out. Except you can’t stay or put anything in the void. Steep learning curve, learning it is harder than learning perfect sage mode. Tobirama and Minato placed seals on each other and could switch places. Though, y’know, it probably cost more chakra. Also minato could through kunai across a battle field and kill 7 jounin a second.

  • naruto has this big problem where there are INCREDIBLY powerful techniques that nobody else decides to learn and the reason is because “its difficult”. like minato and tobirama are very talented, but am i to believe that someone like orochimaru isnt smart enough to figure out a way to use it. like if it is so powerful why has orochimaru or some other smart boy not tried to do it.

  • The thing I like about Minato, Orochimaru, Kabuto, Sakura, Guy and Lee is that all of them do not belong on any lineage that makes someone instantly OP Nope to the people who claim Namekazi clan (Minato’s family) are OP are lying, nowhere that was stated guidebook, anime or manga, there’s no “Namekazi Clan” only “Namekazi Family”, Minato just like Sakura, Lee, Guy, Orochimaru, Kabuto and Kakashi belongs to a regular family and their hardwork is what put them on top stop making things up ps. same reason why I was disappointed that Uzumaki clan is a lineage of Senju and that’s what made Naruto special including being a Jinjuriki, it brings Naruto up to the “DNA privileged Ninja” just like Sasuke. i.e. Neji was right

  • Ok with this technique am I the only one who thinks minato could have stopped so much of the series if he had just put a deal on all of his students in case they got into huge trouble he could have found obits was alive because he could have teleport to it to retrieve the body before finding out he was alive or he could have instant teleport to kakashi a rin killing all the hidden mist ninja I just feel like not marking them was most likely one of his bigger fails in the entire series by him not being able to get there causing huge ramifications

  • but do you just think of the marked thing you want to go to? I dont understand how he throws a marker and goes to it without doing anything. What is he doing with his body that lets him teleport? idk i dont understand that part cuz if he had multiple kunai out at one point he can go to any one he wants right? But if they are all the same formula is it not randomized?

  • Tobirama is stronger than minato ? I think tobirama bcz of he have lot of experience than minato and he is the smartest character after father and son from nara clan (shika dears) he is good at sword and kunai and he is smart and he will make good strategy to defeat minato. he can beat reanimated minato bcz after reanimation jutsu minato got nine tail chakara but also he lose his one arm before losing arm the minato can defeat the tobirama but still tobirama will give tough battle for minato even when he have sage art and nine tail chakra Tobirama >>>minato Reason is experience, knowledge, taijutsu, kinjutsu (forbidden jutsu), kenjutsu and also in ninjutsu and also genjutsu (genjutsu:the infinite darkness justu) he is better at breaking genjutsu bcz he studied the sharingan and genjutsu, juinjutsu The reason i gave respect to tobirama is bcz he do not have sharingan and any other kekkei genkei he mastered the five chakraq nature best assistants and smart and most unique is he was hokage he have experience of war and fight better than anyone (you will say what about hashirama he also see the war but he is not smart)*itachi is different case* tobirama do not sage mode or any vast chakra but he is senju so he have lot of chakra reserve than ordinary shinobi kakashi is also like but he have Sharingan the kakashi hiruzen and tobirama have only skilles and he is brother of first the master of third and orochimaru and fourth (minato) learn his jutsu Edit: i wrote this much 😅😅😅 tell me what do you think and if you agree 👍like the comment
