Which is the strongest planet in astrology?
Jupiter, the son of Earth, is associated with auspicious occasions, strength, aggression, and anger. It is also the leader, King, and Father of the Olympian Gods. In astrology, planets have a different meaning than astronomical understandings. Before telescopes, the night sky consisted of fixed stars and moving objects, or “wandering stars”. The Ancient Greeks, who learned from the Babylonians, considered the five visible planets to be the Sacred 7 Luminaires/7 Heavens, including the Sun and Moon. These planets were considered gods and named their 7 days of the week after them.
To ancient astrologers, planets represented the will of deities and their direct influence on human affairs. Modern astrologers view planets as basic drives or urges in the subconscious, or energy flow regulators representing dimensions of experience. They express themselves with different qualities in the 12 signs of the zodiac and in the 12 houses, and are related to each other through aspects.
📹 Jupiter predicts your Husband & Wife, here’s why…
Alyssa Sharpe is a professional astrologer and writer who has gained a significant following on social media for her insightful and …
This was amazing. I’ve been married for 20 years and your description of how the male & female energy flows/is reflected back and forth to each other is exactly the conclusion I’ve come to as well. I would love more information on how Jupiter is the husband as well. Could you do another article on chart examples? Thank you so much for sharing your insights with us. I love how your mind works.
22:58 – A mindblowing, wide-eye-opening moment: Jupiter and its house actually are the life you built, what concept your life is circling around, the kind of person(ality) you are, the field of life you’re focused to be contained… with all the random details the personal planets add to your material, psychological and communicating aspects of the self. Naturally, the persons who are fit for your jupiter by aspect or sign/house, are the ones who are for the long run, especially if that is mutual! I had to break it to my own words… trully thanks for the inspiration Alyssa!
This makes me understand why jupiter is in exaltation in cancer so much now. That more grounded and controlled homemaking energy of cancer wants to make everything around it better. It takes the things it’s given in (the water receptiveness) and nurtures them so they can grow. It’s the growth of jupiter but in a setting where it can be controlled and you can get the most out of it. Sag jupiter has so much energy and lust for knowledge, it’s heartfelt but uncontrolled and messy in a way Also I love ❤ the in depth talk about the mythology behind the planets and it would be a great series idea
This is so true. I never felt the need to change my desire to be a stay at home wife who still looked good and could be into my artistic work as well… even in this day and age with all the noise of equality and some men wanting to take advantage of that with slacking with providing and all that I still knew I would find the somewhat traditional yet open minded situation I craved because I have Jupiter in cancer 11th house so I married my best friend who is extremely loving, caring and nurturing to me and owns a number of businesses so he just made me part of them all as his wife for me to stay at home, do my artistic thing and look after myself (Venus in 7th house Pisces and Mars in Taurus 9th house) so I love to look after my body and travel while living well as well. Since I need a lot of time for my routines as a Virgo rising and my spiritual practices like yoga and meditation daily etc he understood because I inspire him too as his muse in many aspects of his life including personal growth and business which he loves while also being my bestie (11th house) who is open minded and generous but still dominant as head of house which I like because I love to feel protected so I never had to change my views to fit into this current generation of mine at all because your chart will truly give you what you desire by just being the best version of you since it’s already written in the stars for you so never give into pressure of all this noise these days online it’s so true.
This made me cry. Truthfully said because of all the beautiful marriages that withstand the pain and sadness of life they must grasp each other with all their heart to not lose that light and sound. This was the most beautiful annotation of that Alyssa. I’m 32 and single and men are so blind I agree completely. Not worth leaving my ocean to settle!
I have watched your articles past 7 years or something and I have to say its a great journey to be a part of this. Your concepts are never stuck on one POV and as a Pisces Rising, Libra Sun, Scorpio Moon person, I love that evolution of understanding, not that the previous understanding is wrong just half and this is the beauty of astrology – the more one knows, the more layers to understand opens up.
When you started talking about the beauty contest, I felt it in my heart and soul. Although I am a woman, I resonate with my dominant, masculine energies of going for things and initiating. I’ve noticed in the past I pursue what I want, and it does become like I’m competing to prove I’m the best choice. A beauty contest. And it feels like I always lose the contest because I’m not too focused on light & not sound. Thank you this helped me a lot.
My Jupiter is in Aquarius. And heard it millions of times but not so many astrologers talk about Jupiter as husband or a wife. With men, they say look at their Jupiter. And for women it’s always Venus but I haven’t really paid attention until this; and why I tend to focus more on Venus and Mars. Wow. Thank you. 🤯
Your wisdom is so fascinating, connecting seemingly distant topics and effortlessly tying them together with expertise. So curious about synastry aspects with Jupiter now. Jupiter conjunct Saturn for example, I’ve seen it in action from the POV of both planets, it feel like a combo that plays the long game for different reasons…
I love it when Alyssa does a hot take on something. The more I reflect on this, the more it makes sense. Humans didn’t invent astrology. We only invented the interpretation of it. Jupiter doesn’t have to remain restricted to the patriarchal energy that’s been applied to it. Our first planet Mercury has a hermaphroditic expression to it (hermaphrodite/hermit/hermetic = Hermes/Thoth/Mercury). Speaking is a masculine principle. Listening is a feminine one. The two are united in a single archetype. If Mars and Venus are astrological representations of the unique masculine and feminine principles, is it possible that there are other planets that have them united like Mercury does? Some might argue that expansion is a masculine energy. Let’s not forget that Jupiter has also traditionally ruled children and child birth. Creating a child requires both the egg and the sperm. Pregnancy is an experience unique to women. Typically a man and a women would be married (Jupiter) prior to having a child. With this in mind, I now see Jupiter more as an archetype of the Alchemical Wedding. So yes, Jupiter does represent both the husband and wife!
I could listen to you for hours. Also this validates my own discovery/introspection of the values and qualities I require in a partner, male or female. It’s hugely common to date for the wrong reasons and not understand at the root what you’re looking for, someone to compliment you, not complete you because we complete our own selves. Thank you for your insight.
ALYSSA I LOVE YOU! I’m literally only 1 minute into the article, but I am so glad someone has made a article on this topic. I have also struggled with figuring out how to interpret the ancient vedic astrology texts and teachings when some of it sounds sexist and heteronormative and I’m like “how do I interpret this and apply it in a modern way?” Very excited to hear your take on this <3 EDIT: Me just finishing the article waiting for it to absolutely blow up cause this was some fucking powerful stuff
I have this thing where all the men I’ve dated or even been casual friends and acquaintances with see me as wife material because I can check off boxes. I’ve had guys get eager to talk about how I’d be as a wife on the 1st and 2nd date more often than not. After talking to other women, I realized this isn’t normal 😅 It’s just frustrating because they don’t actually know a damn thing about me. They know I can cook, clean, and raise kids, but they have never asked me about what I want and need, what my dreams and goals are. Needless to say, they are broken up with pretty quickly 😂 I won’t be just a checklist.
Wauw this was truly mind blowing! It does make a lot more sense! Especially if you look at the concept of twin flame, their equals. I makes me think that perhaps, you can see different types of relationships with the different planets, like Venus is a karmic partner with curtain lessons, as for Juno again for something else, and that Jupiter in the chart is your true love and equal. Thank you so much for this perspective, i would like to hear more about this. And especially what the signs are of Jupiter in every sign in his masculine and is his feminine.
Wow, I just looked up charts of the most long-lived young couple I know (been together since the age of 18, now they’re 34, got married a few years ago after many ups. They’ve had many ups and downs but always seemed to gravitate towards each other so strongly) and they both have Jupiter in Gemini in the exact same degree, except one is direct and one retrograde. I have no idea if that has any significance or how exactly the Jupiter placement needs to reflect in the other person’s chart/personality (you haven’t specified), but I thought it would be interesting to mention. I loved your general observations on love and marriage as well. Very insightful and possibly very helpful.
Finally someone who empathises the importance of Jupiter. My personal planets are all masculine (Aqua Sun, Moon Aries, Merc Aqua, Sag Ven, Mars Aries) however they are, apart from Merc and the Sun, placed in water houses (8 th and 12th). So I feel a kind of disconnection in the way I carry myself in the world, and the way I feel deep inside. I have always been drawn to the Neptunian energy and all the symbols connected to it (dreams, music, the Ocean, the Mysteries, the Mystical), in fact my Jupiter is in Pisces in the 12th house. Jupiter is also the planet of augmentation even though is not considered a personal planet, hence I can dwell in a profound daydreaming onyrical status which is in sharp contrast with the other placements I mentioned before. My idea of Love is unconventional, considering the day and age we live in, in fact I’m all or nothing, quite on the unconditional side of the loving and nurturing experience.
A comment on vedic astrology: They don’t follow the same mythology as greek/Roman. It’s a very euro centric view. Their astrology comes from Hindu (sanatani) aspects and the names are interchangeable because it’s easy for the western astrologists to follow them. The concept of venus and aphrodite are very different in Hindu thought. So while a lot of Hindu myths and gods do sound very alike to Greek ones but there’s a lot of distinctions. Also it would be nice if you spoke more about the positions of Jupiter and the traits more than the general characteristics of women and men
Yessss! Just roughly in the first three minutes and so thankfully you are explaining why about Venus and who she is in the mythology that creates the foundation for why flirting, FWB, casual dating is Venus (cause of that bouncing from person to person is the Venus desire, no shame in get it Venus!), but your serious long term is totally Jupiter! I do think, always felt Juno can show case the environment and who you grow into with the happiest mindset once in a long term relationship while Jupiter shows the reasons you get into a relationship and for the long haul on what expands the love, the desire, and the commitment between you and another. I definitely would love to see you expand on Jupiter in not just the houses, but how it impacts your Venus and Juno since those two aspect very interesting in a natal chart as much as a synastry chart. Composite is titillating for this!
Great observation! I find venus is the planet that is representing marriage and the expression, receiving/giving of love and their devotion more than being the wife too. Jupiter as the planet of husband/wife as the marriage partner as jupiter is the legality of it but also the “higher purpose” too. In vedic astrology they also use the Darakara(spouse) planet which is not venus or jupiter but it can be, as it’s the planet with the lowest degrees in a chart out of the 7 traditional planets. You mentioning sound/hearing, something jupiter represents in medical astrology. Jupiter is our hearing if i remember that correctly.
i dont know if you did it on purpose, (im assuming you did?) but i LOVE the balance that black blanket and the white fur, blue and purple pillows balance the frame from the painting and poster. also the colour pallet of this article is so beautiful! This is an amazing article, as a lesbian, ive been VERY confused by what i should look for in my chart, i know there are many methods but venus never made sense, so i find this extremely helpful.
I really like everything you’re saying and I definitely agree with all the ideas about a wife and I like how you put people in their place when I comes to Venus. I do disagree though when you talk about your viewpoint on men. As a Libra and Scorpio, I’ve had 99% of my problems when it comes to emotional connection. It’s not because a woman’s body gets old. If you study men and psychology with men, it always says the same thing, that men are looking for emotional connection (maybe subconsciously)And most men leave marriages because of that. The idea that you’re talking about is a very pop-culture thing to say and I think it also comes from the breadth of more alpha signs that are the likes of Taurus, Sagittarius, Aries.
I am the husband. my wife has 7th house Sagittarius and as such.. I am a pisces rising so we know what that is all about. I needed a woman to ground me and help me take hold of my life. she wanted someone that could mentally challange her. and after 9 years we are stronger than ever. hopefully it last for so many years to come!
Maaaan you are actually soo right, I realized after perusal the whole article that my now ex has his Jupiter in Cancer and has told me that he used to be extremely, magnetized by Cancer women. !!! + He had a friend that I was sensing this with and by coincidence of course we used to quarrel when we were to hang with her. It was just so obvious to me intuitively. I have my Ascendant in Cancer so I guess I only seemed as tho I was what he needs/wants. Aced it as always ! Love you, Alyssa – GG
Planets can really mess your life up, this girl i was into, i really thought she’d be my wife, we have so many things in common and jiving so well, one night i invited her to do some star gazing through my new telescope, everything was going fine, untill i said “i want to see Uranus tonight” she slapped me walked away, what did i do wrong?
I was on an island today with no traffic and no artificial noise from anything. Only the sound of the sea and the breeze. It occurred to me that we have adapted to a very artificial and fast paced world, very much out of sync with our own nature, out of balance and disconnected and discombobulated. We feel detached from ourselves bit we innately long for integration and wholeness. We search everywhere and get more confused. We look for connection with others but because we are thrown so far off-centre, there is an excess level of friction and anxiety. Finding inner peace and calm and a conducive outer environment makes life easier.
Think of any explosion seen from a large distance. Light exposes the monstrosity and it’s easy to be in awe for a few seconds before the sound and force hit you, then you are disoriented and feel the terror in your flesh, whereas the light put the terror in your mind – the sound put the terror in your body.
Interesting and wise words. I agree with a lot of what you say and it’s opened my mind to new perspectives. The more women and men know themseleves and what they really and truly want out of life the better relationships would be. Unfortunately my experience has been It rarely happens like that, thus the high divorce rate and lonely suffering of many married people. Societal expectations are a problem but also why we love certain people is also a mystery.
Excellent analysis, Alyssa. This is Bronwyn. I would love to hear what each sign and house of Jupiter might disclose to us. For instance, my Jupiter is Gemini in the 8th house. I love communicative people, and I love Scorpio people. Note aside: I was intuitively picking up that Jupiter represents Divine Protection. Well, that would be a mate to provide that. 🙂 Also, I had a spiritual experience of seeing Jupiter as a Womb connected to wombs on Earth. A connection line, thus, the umbilical cord. Jupiter in astrophysics is considered a very young planet. Planets with rock are considered older. So, again, I think it can represent many things along those lines. Also, a young planet cannot move out of it’s galaxy, but a rocky planet can. So, it’s more with humans than we can imagine. 🩷
The patriarchy is the default system via natural phenomenon of the woman carrying the baby and being in a vulnerable position because of that, with the man having to get off his lazy ass to provide food for the waddling baby carrier. During this process the woman is probably not the best at fighting off predators and sometimes dies during birth; therefore the man is left to rule by default, but not necessarily because of superiority. That being said, I look forward to perusal the rest of the article.
This was one of the most enlightened articles I have seen in a long time !!! I needed to have a bigger understanding of Jupiter Blessed you ! The relationship that I have been in for 25 yrs was not easy in the beginning, the first 5,6,7 years or so was so hard. I do believe I know now why thanks to you! Blessings
Juno and Jupiter… I have found are 50/50 the same sign in a natal chart. I have also found this to be very accurate with your take on Jupiter. Doesn’t mean that’s who they are currently Married too, but most of the time, it is. But you will ask who your real love ever was, and bam- it’s always the Jupiter sign. I have also found that it’s the rising sign or the ruler of the 7H in the other persons chart. One I just checked has a stellium, and in fact- that sign was the others Jupiter. Boom girl! I’ve went through all my charts, and you are on something! Keep doing this! Xo!
Blessed Be I am aleo I have a Jupiter reversed conjuction with Saturn reversed in my second house in Capricorn It took me decades to find my partner, and have a libra ve us in 8th My first wife was a Capricorn, so I thought she was it, she left me as a single sole parent of two kids, her Asc was libra Lol My second wife was an aries with a libra moon… It fizzled I was 45 when I met my partner, she is a libra, Capri rising, together 17 years
Synchronicity Thoughts conjured amidst howling echoes, As Eastern winds Pushed through… Carrying the very essence Of you in every wisp… Sands slip through my fingers, With a touch of gravel. As my heart is left With this searing heat, coursing through me. Thoughts racing, while they come together, Within moments… Another barrage, of fiercely scribbled verses continue… Appearing like fibers of bound strands on paper, but spun like thread… Longing to be felt, whilst the rays of twilight Which pierce through me, In flashes of brilliance like vapor. Within that one moment in time, Where fate meets destiny In a cosmic alliance which was brought forth With each shift, in the grand scheme of things, Induced by a planetary alignment, A stroke of luck, in the shift… Where timing, meets opportunity And my eyes lock, In a gaze upon thyne, Where it was all held in synchronicity And you finally realized, all the while… That it carried the essence, Of a love divine! Hey girl! Love this article! I have my Jupiter in Libra and hubby has Jupiter in Sagittarius. He is very much a Jupiter in Libra man. Before I had a spiritual awakening in 2020 I wouldn’t have believed I was reflecting his Jupiter in Sagittarius but holy shit I am. It was in fact hidden! It wasn’t until I started looking within and gone on a self-love journey that I started shining that light out. He always wanted me to be the Sagittarius in Jupiter woman but I had to find it myself and did when I started focusing more on my inner world.
I’m interested and hearing more around the meaning, interpretations, and/or examples around Jupiter placements in charts. Maybe a breakdown of some archetypes reflected in real world charts, of Jupiter connections playing out in real time. Would probably require quite a bit of research, I know you can access celebrity charts on some sites, idk how accurate they really are tho. It would still be interesting to explore what Jupiter’s sign and house placements could indicate ab one’s ideal partner.
I think taking the Greek myths too literally is tricky, particularly for a Christian rooted culture consciousness I am glad that you pointed out the Jupiter/Juno Twin point. She was very much revered in Rome. However, Your astrological research is compelling. Your explanation of Left/Right brain is spot on.
“Why don’t you just look at her fucking face, right?” Had me in stitches. This has been interesting to listen to. I’ve come across Jupiter as ‘the man’ talk before. And have always had an issue with the limitations placed upon Venus and Mars as reflections of a romantic partners based on gender (I do see many of my closest platonic connections reflected in my venus though – quite literally). So listening to your take is broadening the scope that bit more. Thanks you for giving me further info to consider. ✨☀️✨
I went to a Vedic astrologer this year out of frustration, I was only seeking career related advice but he ended up telling me that I have to be careful because the opposite gender will be me up hurting me in some way or another, that I will get hurt a lot and to really introspect another’s man’s chart if I want to stop getting used. It felt freeing at the time because I was going through a breakup but even the negative feedback somehow felt like dead weight being pushed off.
I could see this very clearly in the new Avatar movie. All the female characters were very grounded and centered and knew themselves, and didn’t need approval or validation or backing of the men around them. Most times the husband, the brothers, the guy friends around these women are doing low vibrational or just manly aggressive unwise things, but the women knew themselves and knew what to follow and what to say, I e lead with heart and show kindness and lead even the men into that. Without sitting around helpless or feeling judged before taking action. The only thing that I enjoyed about the movie, not really recommending the movie as it was poorly made I felt.
Hi Alyssa.. one of your long time subscribers here.. I am a nobody when it comes to astrology. But I have this point of view about why Jupiter is your spouse. Jupiter is basically your value system or higher order thinking. A woman is likely to listen to a man (submit to a man) who resonates with her higher order thinking (Jupiter). Hence Jupiter is a woman’s husband and her guru (a.k.a teacher) Traditionally, men do not look for higher thinking in a woman. They just chose her based on how obedient or loyal she is to him. However, in our current era of gender being defined as a spectrum and with more Demi sexual, Sapiosexual men in the dating scenario, men are attracted to intelligent women or women with values (his Jupiter). Hence Jupiter can be a husband or wife in a person’s chart.
Such good information and eloquently put 🙏🏽 when I look at my husbands chart he’s got astellium in Gemini of Mars, venus, & Jupiter while it’s also his ascendant- 1st house of self 🙄 I loved your description of the moon being okay in the dark but so much brighter when the sun shines on it 🤍 so beautiful. I don’t go looking for reasons to confirm my insecurities 😅 but I truly feel this man stands on his own 🤷🏻♀️ never has made an effort to connect on a higher level or listen to my song… Perhaps I interpret wrong but in a skewed way this explains his lack of a need for an actual companion, like it’s all wrapped up in himself anyway… 🤷🏻♀️ If I were to leave him, my absence as a human wouldn’t matter but all I do for him…
Great news about Jupiter because in more deterministic astrology the moon in man’s chart indicated the wife, whereas Venus showed a type of a lover he needed, his sexual needs, however if these 2 planets have a good aspect or conjunction the man is lucky to get all in one. For a woman her mars and sun was indicating a type of a partner. would be great to hear more about Jupiter, does it need to aspect woman’s sun or moon?
Damn this such an intellectual chat. Thank you for sharing your wisdom with us! Though I would love more info around this, maybe explaining how to look at the chart and compatible Jupiter’s. Me and my boyfriend both have Jupiter in Sagittarius. Mines in the 10th house and his is in the 5th. I would love to understand what that could mean for our future. Anyways, Alyssa, thank you again.i don’t know if this is weird but the way you talk feels really nurturing to me
Man, not sure about this. Attracted to big characters for sure (my juipter in Leo,) but they cant be over shadowing me. I am still finding my juipter how to utilise him. Shes conjunct Lilth, so as I mentioned., no overshadowing. Powerful but fucking supportive in all ways…is that too much too ask 😅
I was dating a man he was saying how he had made poor choices and I said wait you’re good at just deciding to dive into it and he said yeah but I have been wrong and I said but I am your water And then I saw this and I feel like the universe always tells me what it’s telling me and then it shows me what it’s showing me I can’t wait to find out about how to understand Jupiter The man I was dating is so obvious he’s so forward and so frank and so delightful so obvious I just love that about him I need to understand and find out who I am once I nurture myself and find out who I am then the world will know I am so important
Thoroughly enjoyed this article. I actually am going through what you are talking about. For the past two years I’ve been on a journey of self and my future husband found me halfway. He literally just came and kissed me one day. Mind you we have known each other for over 10 years but like you said I didn’t know myself then so he wouldn’t be able to find me. ❤
Such an interesting take. I can see how western astrology will translate differently than vedic. Both great systems but the same rules don’t have to apply to both based off of different etymology. I don’t think you need to fight the vedic boys, you guys just have two different systems and understandings.
Our Jupiter s are exactly conjunct⭐️ Felt silly falling head over heals for this guy I’m adoring so fast- ( not my “usual” ways my feels pop up) within 6 months…!!!!?! And I wasn’t hitting on his Juno….so but we have Our JUPITERS EXACTLY CONJUNCT- exactly conjunct- same sign same degree- top of my chart so I guess I’ll stop feeling weird about it (we aren’t each other’s usual types)🤷♀️🫶🏼💜but he makes me feel safe- and I guess I’m the only one to ever comfort him (he’d never had a massage yall- for real) And I’ve already spent years becoming my “own Jupiter ” so maybe I’m ready.. yay Jupiter- thank you for this info I’ve never heard before✨ Guess I’ll go with it and see what happens- thanks Jupiter ❤ and thanks Allison🫶🏼🥰⭐️
WOW!!!!!!’za!!! 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽💃🏽💕💕 This article has to be the best description and offered understanding of a connection that just is or isn’t ~ and now we fundamentally, at the very core:heart:mind of it all, have a ‘why’. Thank you!! It is Brilliant how you describe it and certainly makes sense!! I have always loved the idea of ‘a mirror image’ to represent what I am looking for in my guy .. meaning “we will just fit.” The mirroring has very little to do with being the same or having to be so alike!! But rather and more importantly, for ALL the reasons you offered, we just need to be wonderfully complimentary to each other. Innately I feel we recognize them and know they are the one, often without any reason. 🧩 💕✨ •The last few minutes of this article is PURE GOLD!!!!! 💖✨🦋🌸 Time to take a good look at my Jupiter! Do you offer any articles or readings for this?? 🧚🏽♀️
Loved the topic and the way you approached it! So, congratulations for going beyond what it is said. I havent studied that much of vedic astrology, but looking into a few things and different charts, I realised how unfair were the results of stars if you were a man or a woman…and I thought it couldnt be possible that the sky were as machist as society
I think this is great. I am no way near expert level like you but could Venus be how you desire to be loved? Or your love language? So could it be the character of your potential spouse be your Jupiter, but he/she needs to also fill your Venus love cup? I really want to understand this. Maybe both Jupiter and Venus need to be compatible in both charts? I don’t know, what do you think? Btw I am a woman, heterosexual, married for over 30 yrs. I never thought of divorce, as I thought I would be dead by now. Astrology makes me feel alive. So many mysteries, so little time left.
I have not listened yet, but I’ve noticed Juno being a huge part of a relationship being successful. Mine is in Scorpio, and I real eyes’d I’m only fully sexually attracted to another Scorpio Juno. My exhusband was a Virgo Juno, and good god, NO, haha, but I didn’t have an astrological clue back then. Your thoughts?
Alyssa. Thank you for sharing your perspective about Jupiter being the husband and the wife in astrology. It’s always fun to learn something new. I have my Jupiter in Taurus in my 12th house. Also, I’m not looking for love right now in my life, but I hope that my future wife and I bring out the best in each other.
this is a really intuitive insight!! i’m very open to it and will def be looking more into jupiter! my only quip- i recently learned that “left” and “right brained” is one of the most common neuro myths! i totally understand what you meant with the comparison tho, i just want your argument to be as valid as possible, so i figured i’d mention 😅
each girl I have used a different fairytale for, each way it fits into the relationship. I have used every form of fairy tale, including tangled and the in the frog in well syndrome, to beauty and the beast the venus star to snow white the planet alignments of the grand alignment i have even used the light of Jesus with mar Magdalene, to movies the Titanic, terminator 3. which is the Eurydice and Orpheus complex which is apart of my jump and resetting the karmic relationship. Two now having a complex of lana lang and lois lane, complex. which is jupiter venus love triangle., I am stuck inside a love triangle. The Heavens are saying otherwise. We are the pinicchio thats our spiritual journey.
Wow, this is very insightful ! Me and my husband’s Jupiter are both in our 4th house. My Jupiter is in Gemini which accurately describes his traits and his Jupiter is in Libra which accurately describes my traits. 😮 And we both have the same transits in Aries in Jupiter in the 4th house. Hope thats a good thing! Married for 13 yrs now. 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
Alyssa!! I’m not even finished but wooo!! Life changing and profound information. So poetic, makes so much sense to me. Thank you! Jupiter in Pisces 1st house massively intercepted. I’ve always focused too much on my Venus in Leo square Pluto which got me in so much trouble I can’t even express. I want to embody more of my deeply inner space ocean earth mermaid plant Jupiter energy now. 🌊💫⭐
Alyssa I just want to say I love you so fucking much. This was such a blessing to my life right now and inspired me to journal and think about why I love my partner. Also, 1) fuck the patriarchy; and 2) you are a sociologist, a mythological historian, a poet, and a million things more but DAMN GIRL its like you were talking dirty to my mind, stimulating as fuck.
Interesting, in Vedic they say Venus is the spouse for both male and female. Jupiter is regarded as the native him or herself sooo idk . From what I’ve seen I believe Jupiter is you . For example, they say ppl who have an 8th house Jupiter will marry rich but I see so many ppl with that placement who are wealthy by their own merits but of course quite naturally if they decide to marry they will probably marry rich . I think Taylor Swift is an example of this
I would say that the stories of the archetypes planets are named after do not always match what the planets actually do. So Venus being the “prostitute” archetype doesn’t necessarily mean Venus couldn’t represent this or that. However, I thoroughly enjoyed this talk and I love your insight. Subscribed.
Jupiter is like marge simpson. She forgives. But you know everybody doesn’t marry for that kind of affection. Some man marry someone who is like a daughter to them. Which is moon And im kinda sure every planet can be that but maybe you have jupiter in 7th or sag or picses dsc idk? That’s probably why you thought this
I think I understand this thought I had to listen real hard, I’m a Pisces so I think I can understand your language and I find it to be really genius especially about the light and the king and queen stuff. I always think back to when I watched the Tudors, things haven’t changed much since then between men and women, it’s troubling however about the Jupiter because my ex husband who I was with twice in my life first as childhood sweethearts and then in our forties married and divorced again, he comes back and has his Jupiter in Aquarius and I’m a Venus in Aquarius but it never works he always bounces, he’s Aries. I can’t take him coming back around for a 3rd time despite being left fr dead like the queen, my Jupiter is in Sag and every sag I know never got married and want to be married so idk how to work this lol. Probably could vibe with it better if I wasn’t so tired tonight, I do believe women have to know themselves, what you said was very profound.
I find this really fascinating because I can’t see how it fits for myself, but I am intrigued. For me Jupiter is the father. And Saturn is the husband. I have a sun Jupiter conjunction with a 1° orb conjunct my descendent in Gemini and my father is a Gemini who I have a very challenging painful relationship with, and has shaped me and my psyche more than I can share in a comment, all of this to say I have never once been attracted to a Gemini man, but I am wildly attracted to Sagittarian Jupiter men and some of my greatest loves have all had strong sag. placements. My Saturn is in cap and my husband is Capricorn sun Venus with a sag stellium 🫶
Awesome article Alyssa! So when looking for a wife, I should be searching for a woman w/the characteristics described by my natal Jupiter in Pisces then? Also, considering this concept in Synastry, would my Jupiter in positive aspect to a partner’s Jupiter be a reasonable indication that our Jupiter’s are meeting the ideals you mentioned? Lastly, does the 9th house fit into the equation at all?
On repeat..cause I’m a Sagittarius Rising Female and I just wrote in my journal, ‘ sound travels farther than light’ to a man who rather text me instead of talking to me via a fucking phone call..very critical of my mind, its so sad cause I truly 💚 him. Have to move on, though .. After all, I’m a Cancer Moon.-Water-
There’s no “Jupiter female/ Jupiter male”…only Jupiter the husband (because HE is the one that brings marriage to the women)…the wife is Venus at her best and Venus at her best is venus Pisces .. because there she is comfortable, in her Devine femininity, most beautiful, most youthful, relaxed, ocean wet, things come easy, bringing peace to the house, making the house a home…Venus at her worst is Venus in Virgo (Venus not youthful, not as beautiful, a tough environment for a female and often steps out of her femininity and into the masculine…not good… marriage comes late because they still have to work on letting go of that masculine frame as a woman)… Jupiter? Exalted in Cancer..this is the creation of the Family as a result of marriage….brings celebrations at the home, children at the home, expansion to the home… Jupiter exalted in Cancer because it’s signifying the roots of the family (between man and woman) it’s also symbolic of the roots in the womb of the wife to Jupiter..and Jupiter being the karaka for semen and children
I love this. Thank you for the fun and new metaphors for Kingship and Queenship. My Jupiter is conjunct my partners moon to an almost exact degree, and his Pluto. His Jupiter and Neptune conjunction is conjunct my Venus, Pluto, and Rising. My sun is in his 7th house, and Mercury/Venus/Pluto stellium are in his 8th house conjunct his Jupiter/Neptune duo. I swear to Thor it’s our Jupiter sextile Jupiter, and Sun sextile Sun dynamic that makes things fiery between us, but mostly our Jupiters aspecting personal planets that has kept us moving forward in devotion. So much in regard to Jupiter has to do with MUTUAL MISSION. Because the Jupiter in us goes toward expansion, like you said, either way turning it inward or through partnership. I truly believe Jupiter in both people’s charts no matter orientation needs to be aspected to see weight to a potential relationship. My Jupiter is also conjunct my partners Descendant. Our first child coming in 23 will have Jupiter conjunct Sun!!! 😀 To confirm The differentiating roles of of Juno and Venus: Venus being not only conjunct my ascendant and ruler of my descendant, Jupiter and Sun, I’ve always attracted muses but many are not partner material with that energy. Venus is also sextile my jupiter so from experience, sometimes what starts out as a fling does progress into relationship but it’s pretty obvious from the outside who is projecting the Venus and which potentials needed the Jupiter giftings. It wasn’t until I opened up to my Jupiter opposition (happening throughout 2022, right now, and 2023) that I entered what I would consider the first serious soulful relationship of my life.
I agree with much of your rejection of the current superficial nature of much of current thought. The Fit is critical but the ingredients of the Fit are very Venusian, which is what you describe by the Men going after the woman. However, I disagree with some broader points. The basics of attraction aren’t stupid. Life is not stupid. However, there’s a great deal more to a Union than just progeny. Thanks to the cultural values and success of America, we have never had to deal with arranged marriages. So we have the ability for a total Union of Male and Female.
Ok this is amazing Alyssa!! … I would love maybe articles with examples like ex me and my husband have all the same houses we’re both 12th house gemini suns so cancer risings our 5th is scorpio that’s where his jupiter is so i would fit what hes looking for since its the same energy !? … our 6th in sag that’s where my jupiter is so he would fit because it’s the same energy I’m looking for !? Or is it more complex 🤔 I mean he always says we’re the same bahahha and like I know we work bc we both are just ourselves but just to be able to translate
That actually makes so much more sense to me! I have a question tho…and this is dealing with secondary, or additional marriages after divorce. I’ve learned that every additional marriage can be found by skipping one planet (I’m sure you understand what I mean) My main question, for now, is this: when each of these planets is looked at…. Will this be the sun sign, specifically, in another’s chart or are other placements (Venus, mats, etc.) taken into account as well? I hope that made sense….
I disagree on Jupiter being the twin flame personally. Jupiter energy is merciful and expansive and purely masculine. Twin flame is about unending fire that purifies and connects the masculine and feminine. What is most sacred to us. It’s the kundalini energy of raw creation. I’d say that vesta most accurately represents twin flame energy, but even then I don’t think there’s a single planet or asteroid that can indicate that. Jupiter’s mercy and protection for sure can indicate the earthly husband but not necessarily the spiritual one.
There are some astrologers especially Indians who confirm this theory that Jupiter in the husband. Still I am not sure if this is true. My Jupiter is in ♏ in the 5-th House. My partner for the last 8 years, works in the gaming industry, which is 5-house related. But somehow he doesn’t not resonate with ♏ archetype. I have seen that the Sun resonates a lot for the husband and the moon for the wife.
This world is so out of whack. The masculine and the feminine both seem to be totally out of balance. It’s sad seeing men only highlight the negative aspects of women and women only highlighting the negative aspects of men. MGTOW vs. feminism, etc. I know that’s not really what this article is about, but I just find it the current state of masculine/feminine dynamics to be so out of tune. As a friend of mine once said, “we’re just a bunch of damaged children running around pretending to be adults.”
My Jupiter is duplicated in Taurus♉ in the 5th house conjunct both Mars and Saturn, and carrying the lowest degree, I wonder how that affects my partner, my fiancee is a Sun in Capricorn♑ and Moon in Aries♈, and she is from the southern hemisphere, the country of Zambia🇿🇲 in Africa. What is your opinion on that Alyssa? And thank you for this article, you being a Libra♎ and knowing Venus in depth I much respect, Venus is my dominant planet, and I always associated Venus with marriage. My Midheaven is also in Libra♎ yet my Sun is in Aries♈ in the 4th house, and my Venus is in Aries♈ in the 4th house.
So, I think I am confused. I found this informative and really interesting, but I’m not sure if we should be looking for someone who has the same Jupiter or their Sun sign in the same sign as my Jupiter. I have Jupiter on my MC in Aquarius. Do I need to look for an Aquarius Sun person or someone who has his Jupiter in Aquarius as well? I apologize if you explained this in the article and I missed it. 🙏🏻💜
I got a good chuckle, when you said “A woman to be in.” Last I checked, any heterosexual man would be both with and in her. On a serious note, my Jupiter is in Gemini. Her Jupiter is in Virgo. Granted, there are significant differences. However, they are both scholarly. This suggests of the 4 mutable signs her Jupiter could be in, this pairing may be second best. The best would be her Jupiter is also in Gemini. What do you think?
Hi I loved this article and I’ve contemplated these concepts myself. I’m wondering if you can do a article on what Jupiter means in each house or how you find yourself as Jupiter in your partners chart. My partner shows up with his Jupiter in my 7th house and someone told me that means he could potentially be my husband but how do I find my Jupiter in his chart? I don’t know if I’m even asking these questions right but I’ll just send you a telepathic message and I think you’ll know what I’m asking. Thank you for your articles. I gain so much from your wisdom and I feel like I’m perusal a best friend because you feel so similar. Ps it’s my birthday today. I pray you have an amazing holiday
Thanks for your article, It absolutely pisses me off I have spent a life time coaxing my dream girl, I have improved adapted and changed in so many ways. The thing is she calls me on all time, unno sounds. I am the light, I possess the light, Still she is so ever difficult. She does not go easy on me. She will find another one like me, impossible. The thing is with Scorpio lunar nodes it makes even more sense she is the one soul mate. we share history and a massive connection beyond belief. she still remains, closed off, controlling and criticizes. that’s devil energy. even to the point of seeing myself signing the contract, covenant, I remain in two minds and through the Scorpio eclipse to terminate this contract its my time to break free. My kundalini Jump says otherwise its says “yes, you we have worked way too damn hard, do not give up!”. Just think TITANIC that the connection we share, it like I fail her each time. I get this right, I will write a book, it will solve all relationship problems. I am no there yet still working on it, once in my power then we will see what happens. After all through the AKASHIK it did say we are going to give you three gifts step by step. Now we will see what happens. This is the year for it. A voice does say, “I cant wait until your in bed with her son”. “she is the girl of your dreams son” “slowly become your wife son” see so through clairaudience they are encouraging me. She also does the same thing. she communicates telepathically. I know my mind and what goes into it.
We throw the term misogynistic around endlessly but the level of man bashing in this article is equally as bad yet considered acceptable. It’s extremely disheartening. I can’t wait until both sexes, all of humanity, can return to valuing the divine masculine and divine feminine. Both are necessary and both are beautiful.
