Colorado has decriminalized psilocybin mushrooms, also known as magic mushrooms or shrooms, due to new psychedelic laws. A psilocybin mushroom co-op has opened in Denver, offering guided journeys, group activities, nature hikes, and live experiences. The dispensary is not concerned about law enforcement, and access to the decriminalized substances is not yet legal to sell.
Psilocybin mushrooms can induce mild euphoria to powerful hallucinations and spiritual experiences depending on the dosage. Denver and Oakland recently decriminalized magic mushrooms, but it’s too early to determine how much decriminalization has changed the drug market. Colorado law changed around the start of the year to remove many criminal penalties related to possessing and using psilocybin mushrooms and other psychedelic substances.
The University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus in Aurora announced it would launch the first modern-era psilocybin clinical trial. People offering guided experiences and other mushroom-related businesses have flourished since Prop 122 passed. However, a new law could push Colorado into its psychedelic era. In 2022, voters approved a ballot measure legalizing the use of psilocybin and psilocin, two psychedelic compounds found in magic mushrooms.
In conclusion, Colorado is in its psychedelic era, with psilocybin mushrooms being decriminalized but not yet legally sold. Access to these substances is possible through certified healing centers and educational resources. The decriminalization of psilocybin has cemented Colorado’s pioneering drug-friendly status.

📹 What’s next after Denver decriminalizes psychedelic mushrooms?
On Tuesday, voters in Colorado’s capital city approved the decriminalization of psychedelic mushrooms. Joe St. George explains …
I have seen with my own eyes, someone attempt to kill themselves on mushrooms right in front of me. After they failed and my friend and I pinned this person down, this person thrashed around, bit us, and screamed as loud as he could for over 5 hours until he finally came back, not having a clue on what had happened. Mushrooms are not a fucking joke kids. Please be careful. I wouldn’t even say they were meant to he used as recreational substances.
