The ride is geared towards older grade-schoolers and opened to the public on May 28, 2014. The Florida version opened to the public on May 28, 2014, as the ride is almost completely “on stage”. The coaster is located in the middle of New Fantasyland, providing guests with an immersive experience.

The Seven Dwarfs Mine Train is a steel roller coaster located in the Magic Kingdom’s New Fantasyland area, near the iconic Beast’s castle. FastPass+ is recommended for those visiting the park, but visitors can also visit first thing in the morning or during an evening special. • coming from someone who hates roller coasters, this is one of the best ones i’ve ever been on. for anyone who’s scared of roller coasters, trust me this one’s a good one! the drops aren’t all that bad, and you get to tune out to the music! it’s so much fun, disney most definitely did a great job on this ride.

  • You know, you can’t really ever judge these rides by articles of them, because they always ALWAYS make the ride in question seem WAAAAY smaller and slower than they actually are. I went on this and was surprised by how fast it was, cause based on the articles I’d watched of it, I was expecting it to be way slower.

  • I rode this earlier today, and it was a lot more fun than I expected based on having previously seen this article. Reading some of the criticisms here are lame, as I think that they miss the point that Disney is more of a family oriented park, and isn’t known for more extreme thrill rides. I’m one who prefers crazier rides (just this year alone, I’ve been able to ride Kingda Ka and El Torro; and, my favorite coaster is Steel Vengeance); but, I’m also able to appreciate less crazy rides that are still designed impeccably well.

  • Last February I went to Disney, and this was pretty much my first roller coaster. We had fast passes so the line was about 5-10 minutes. That whole time I’m standing there terrified. I finally got on and I was riding wit my sister. It was probably the best ride I ride at Disney. It wasn’t that intense but it was still really fun. The only bad thing was it is sooo SHORT!

  • Our favorite ride! I pray that everyone who works at Disney, and their families are healthy and safe during this time. I also pray for them to be compensated and maintain employment. Disney is a wonderful place to go, thanks in a big part to the wonderful people who work there. God bless all of you!😊

  • Disney is meant for parents to take their kids, but I couldn’t help but smile throughout the entire time there. All of the beautiful special FX, and everyone having such a good time on the ride with you and singing along to the music. I can promise you that you’re going to shed a few happy tears as a parent when you see that big smile on your kids face for the whole time you’re there. This theme park really makes you appreciate your childhood and just life in general. Worth every penny

  • I can’t believe all the complaining I’m seeing about this ride. It is awesome! I’ve only ridden it at night, so maybe that’s what I found so cool about it. At night time, they have spotlights that kinda blind you, so you don’t really know which direction you’re going next. Ride it after sundown and see if you still hate it.

  • Now THAT’S how you do a roller coaster POV article. No bullshit walking to the ride or waiting in line, just the ride. And if you’re perusal on regular monitor (not a phone or table), get high, and go full screen, it’s almost as good as actually riding it. Tho a tiny bit of preamble would be good to give the viewer some time to settle in. Like, turn the camera on just before you get on.

  • Had a ride on this one right after Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. I loved the animatronics here, but the ride itself was very short and kinda jerky. The wait is not worth it. Big Thunder Mountain had shorter wait and the ride was much longer and more fun, while being very smooth from the beginning till the end. My 6 year old son loved Big Thunder Mountain, but was scared by the jerkiness of the Seven Dwarfs ride

  • I went on this ride with a lightning lane pass because the wait time is absurd and it’s one of my fav rides of all time. People had there flash on and ruined the audio. I wasn’t gonna spend anymore money, so waited in line for two hours, and went clinically insane, so that I could get a better experience. But I can’t say it wasn’t worth it!

  • I’ve never been to Disney World before since I live in California but this looks so much fun but also kinda scary. It also reminds me of thunder mountain which is my favorite ride even though it’s a rollercoaster and I hate rollercoasters lol. I love how at the end it shows the scene where Snow White and the dwarfs are dancing

  • Can anybody tell me honestly if this is a good coaster? I’m going in 2022 ( I know it’s cuz I’m so excited) and I hated the barnstormer because of all the sharp turns. I also have emetophobia so the second I feel slightly sick I go into a panic attack. I think it looks good, really smooth, the turns aren’t too sharp, but I want somebody’s opinion who has ridden. And tips would be appreciated ♥️🐁

  • The problem isn’t that it’s a short, tame family coaster, the problem is that it’s a short, tame family coaster that was made out to be a headliner attraction in the vein of Space Mountain and Big Thunder Mountain. I realize people have opinions, but to me it’s as if Universal hyped Flight of the Hippogriff as a headliner. The show scene in the middle is nice, but overall it’s not worth waiting the 60+ minute line length it usually has.

  • Thank you for this pov because the wait time for this ride is crazy and I didn’t want to purchase lightning lane for non thrill rides. I still wanna try this ride to see what the hype is about for the swinging carts but I can’t with that wait time 😅 last time I listened to the hype for rise of resistance I was soooo disappointed after wasting hours in line

  • I definitely think it looks slower than it is lol. I rode this as a kid because my family thought it was a kid coaster… needless to say it scared me into never wanting to ride another roller coaster again😂 I’m 18 now, to this day this is the biggest and fastest roller coaster i’ve been on and I don’t plan on changing that.

  • This space was supposed to be a lame meet and greet. While I enjoy meeting characters, there’s already hundreds of meet and greets. This attraction was never in the original plan for new fantasy land. With the space that they had, they did a great job! It is short yes but it is almost a bit of a montage for the dwarfs. And doesn’t go fast enough? It goes 1 speed slower than thunder mountian rail road. The attraction is also in fantasy land. Fantasy land is a land for children, and adults who want to become a kid again. Because we never stop being a child in our heart. Fantasy land is a land of wonder, peacefulness and a land of hope. The ride deserves more praise. And the animatronics were very innovating. The only problem I have is that it sticks to close to a montage of the best moments of Snow White and doesn’t tell a complete story. All and all, I think this is a fantastic attraction for all ages. Disney is not a roller coaster park. You thrill seekers need to get out of here lol. Disney is a park full of wonder and discovery and story telling. Not thrills. 7.5/10 for me on this attraction. Pros: Beautiful atmosphere Smoothness Rocking cars Repurposed animatronics from swsa. An overall fun ride The amazing line Nitpicks: Not a fan of projection faces. Cons: No coherent story The ride is to short(still happy that it exists though)

  • I got to ride this coaster on the front. The only problem that I had with the is that we were on the lift hill about to go over the big drop when it broke down for like 40 minutes. When the problem got fixed, it just ruined the ride experience because we waited for over two hours to ride the ride and it got stuck.

  • Funny story actually: one day, Me and our arts Group from school went on this ride and nearly every single person from the group went on it. When we got to the Second Hill(In the mine) I had the idea when we lifted I was in front of the Train and shouted HI HOOOOOOO and then everyone Responded with the same thing and then I Look behind the other Sections, and the front section with me Yelled “HI HOOOOOOO” Again And this Time the Front, Then middle Then Back Went in order and We all Sang and Clapped And whistled at the same time. Really Epic Moment At Disney If Ya ask me!

  • It’s a cute ride for what it is but I can’t help thinking the entire experience would have been better if the rollercoaster wasn’t split up with the dark ride part in the middle. I think if the part in the mine with the seven dwarfs happened right out of the station and then you rode the track uninterrupted it would feel like a longer ride and a better experience.

  • This Halloween, I went on this. Before we got on, they said “Put on your coats or ponchos, it’s raining!” So we got on and we all of the sudden got stopped in the cave where they are singing, just before the biggest drop on the ride. And they said it was RAINING. WE WERE STUCK. AT THE DROP. Then we started going again and it was fine till we screeched to a stop AGAIN LIKE REALLY

  • I will not stand in a line more then 40 mins or so and thats since they got rid of the good fastpass where it told u to come back in an hour ajd get right one id just got ride like 3 less wait time rides and come back was awesome fast pass back in the day why cant they keep it the same? I usally only use fastpass anyways on the three mountain rides at disney world

  • I hate all the butthurt adults in the comments. Disney is aimed at kids more than adults most of the time so obviously the ride isn’t gonna be fast or dark all the way through. I went when I was 8 and 11 and both times it was my favorite ride. If you wanted something more thrilling go on Everest or big thunder

  • For any reasonable person, this ride is NOT worth the wait. If you can catch this for 45 min wait or less it’s at least bearable. Some comments talk about waiting in line for 4 hours. I’m telling you that is robbery, nothing less. The folks who also say there are things to do while in line… There are 3, trough of glowing gems, wet sifting gems, spinning buckets of gems. The ride is short but we’ll decorated. This was not an impressive ride and the fact they sell “pay per ride” is again, robbery. I waited in line for 20 mins and the whole family was not interested in waiting that time again.

  • Is this ride too intense for someone who hates drops? I hate that feeling in my stomach when I feel like I’m free falling. The only roller coasters I’ve ever ridden were at Universal. I rode Hulk and Mummy and HATED them both. I also hated the Jurassic Park ride for the drop at the end. So just wondering if this one has any big drops. I don’t mind the twists and turns.
