Is Lamborghini cow or buffalo?

Why Lamborghinis are named after bulls: it all started at a ranch in Sevilla. Ferruccio Lamborghini’s visit to Don Eduardo Miura’s cattle ranch in Sevilla in 1962 clearly made a big impression on the company founder. So impressed was he by Miura’s fighting bulls that he decided to adopt a raging bull in Lamborghini’s logo when he established the marque in 1963.

The bovine fascination didn’t stop there – after producing the plainly titled 350 GT and 400 GT, Lamborghini (who was a Taurus, by the way) turned once again to Don Eduardo’s ranch for inspiration and the bull naming sequence was started.

It’s not a surprise that the Miura family were proud when they found out that Lamborghini had named a car after their line of bulls. The short name, applied to the fiercest and most powerful bulls, was just what Ferruccio needed to describe his engineers’ ground-breaking creation. The mid-engined Miura redefined the concept of a sports car with its transverse-mounted V12, 170mph-plus top speed and lithe, Ford GT40 influenced styling. The age of the supercar (a term put into popular parlance by CAR’s LJK Setright) had arrived.

Is every Lamborghini named after a bull?

Lamborghini’s model names are mostly inspired by bulls and bullfighting, but some models have other inspirations. In 1981 and 1990, the ‘Speedy Kiwi’ disappeared, replaced by the McLaren International logo, designed by Raymond Loewy as a gift from a sponsor. The color was chosen to correlate with the brand’s color, and after testing different shades of red, rocket red was added to the car and logo.

  • Lol you know when someone is powerful and dangerous when a professional fighter nervously does every every single thing he knows (shakes, hugs, bows, damn near curtsies, mentions a gift, and won’t keep a fist up for pictures and repeatedly utters thank you and sir) as respect just so he covers all the bases to continue his life.

  • I respect both of them for who they are. McGreg noticed what he did wrong and then he immediately corrected himself. I’m preety much sure he would have appologised and Putin took it as a good sport( respect) They are both fighters and know what heat of the moment is. Off the record( McGregor surly was one sec away from being marked) 😛

  • Me, what I can’t stop to watch, is the moment when Conor, after have put his arm back off Putin, is standing hands crossed, and he can’t stop himself to come back with his left fist, to show he is a fighter….loooooooooooooooooooool “even if I can’t take the shoulder of Putin, I am still a great fighter….” What a delirious man !!! So funny, he believes he still is with some fan at the end of some fight…. So fun 😉

  • VV Putin put his arm on Connor first. I see Denis Peskov at 0:45 I did not see Putin’s bodyguards being a problem for Conor, but I think that Conor saw a problem in their reaction to him being in close contact with their national leader. Bodyguards of their caliber are trained to defend at all times. SO Conor responded to their “Ok, you got your selfie…. now back off” reaction. Conor is trained to respond to such things.

  • To everyone talking about Conor’s arm over Putin’s shoulders. Yeah, I agree, the security guard is very likely trying to convey to Conor to get his arm tf outta there, but I believe he stops himself when he realise that Putin has his arm around Conor’s shoulder AND additionally, Putin is not reacting badly to the gesture regardless. Just my thoughts. Conor is quick to adjust though hahaha

  • This would not be made the same way today. This skit makes it appear like it’s sensitive to black issues while showing every white person as actually non-racist. It is funny, and it’s refreshing to not have the trope/stereotype of the ‘racist conservative redneck,’ but I wonder if the underlying message people took away was that the black assertions were just paranoia.

  • I grew up in the 90’s. This is such an interesting social commentary of that time. At the time white people really did have the mentality like “Martin Luther king got black people their rights so why are you still complaining?”. I remember family members complaining about black people and saying things like “God they (blacks) are so sensitive”. Then white people would say shit like this to each other but even to close friends and family would always say “I’m not racist” or “I have black friend(s)”…….Today……..well we know
