Circe, a Native American mutant, manipulates reality and controls minds through her ability to communicate with animals. However, most of the animals she talks to are not animals but transformed men. Her victims can still think and speak, but are subdued by her magic and cannot fight back. Moonstar, a young mutant, uses her animal telepathy to cast illusions based on fears and desires pulled from another’s mind. This power caused her many issues, but as she honed her psychic abilities, new powers developed.
She can create ‘psychic arrows’ that can incapacitate targets. Although her telepathy does not allow her to consciously look into other human minds, she can connect telepathically with animals, allowing her to see through their eyes and communicate on an emotional level. Moonstar’s emotion-based power allows her to communicate with animals more empathetically, but she cannot directly communicate with them directly.

📹 SPEAK WITH ANIMALS | The Everything Whisperer – Spell A Day D&D 5E +2
Alrighty day 308! Today is Speak With Animals. 57 more to go. While it’s not everything everything in the title, it is still quite a lot.
my ranger is a biologist and I use speak with animals quiete often. It´s also helpful in combat! We once were attacked by a pirateship and I convinced the gulls to shit on our enemies and obscure their view. And once I had to track down a bandit pair in a dark alley and some stray dogs helped me wrestle them down in exchange for some of my jerky. We also have a hellhound in our group and it´s sometimes helpful to know what he´s thinking (we also have a guard drake but the spell doesn´t work on him since he isn´t a animal)
Persuade an animal to stick around for food and care. If he helps you out with stuff, he gets what he wants also….a higher level of training for your animal…. an animal companion that whilst you can only chat with them about 10 or 20 mins per day, eg dog, monkey, warhorse ….but still you can get them to understand you better maybe giving advantage on animal handling checks??
So, do I get this right? You can cast Speak with animals either as an action (6 seconds) OR as a ritual (10 minutes, without expanding a spell-slot) AFTER that, you can talk to animals for 10 minutes. If you would want to talk to animals all day long, you’d always have to ritual cast for 10 minutes, then can talk 10 minutes, and recast for 10 minutes for another 10 minutes talking, having 30minutes of talking within an hour.
