Is it cold on Disney cruise ship?

Disney Cruise Line (DCL) doesn’t control the weather, but cooler weather itineraries typically average in the 40s-60s during the day. However, there are many reasons to love cold weather itineraries, such as introducing kids to new cultural experiences. During warm weather sailings in the Caribbean and Bahamas, most activities on shore are variations of beach visits. On cool weather trips, you can learn about trades like logging and salmon fishing, as well as dog sledding.

On Northern European trips, you can see museums and castles, and often learn words in other languages. For Epcot fans on Norway sailings, be sure to look out for the real Akershus. Overall, cold weather itineraries offer a variety of cultural experiences and can be a great way to explore different regions and cultures.

What is the difference between Disney Magic and Disney Dream Cruise?

In 2014, Don and his wife embarked on a 4-night Disney Magic cruise to the Bahamas, followed by a 7-night Disney Wonder cruise to Alaska, and another 4-night Bahamian cruise on the Disney Dream. They were excited to see the reimagined Disney Magic and the classic Disney Wonder, which were the first Disney Cruise Line ships. Both ships have 875 staterooms, with a maximum capacity of 2, 400 passengers. The Disney Dream and Fantasy are newer and larger, with two decks taller than the Magic and Wonder, with 1, 250 staterooms.

All Disney cruise ships share common features such as no casinos, great childcare, character appearances, and a kid-friendly crew. However, they were curious about significant differences beyond the décor and if they would have a preference for one ship over another.

The Disney Magic, the oldest ship in the fleet, underwent a complete “reimagining” in 2013, including more adjoining staterooms and more verandahs with removable dividers. Other improvements include taller bed frames and regular hairdryers, which were easier to manage than the old built-in hairdryers on the Wonder.

The Disney Dream offers two show times each night for guests to attend. Guests assigned to the first main dining seating enjoy dinner at 5:45 and attend the later show at 8:30. Guests with later dinner seating can attend the 6:15 show and dine later at 8:15. The shows last about an hour, and children will be fully engaged with the beautiful scenery, lively storyline, and familiar music as their favorite Disney friends perform on stage.

The three favorite shows onboard the Dream are The Golden Mickeys, Villains Tonight!, and Disney’s Believe. If your child needs to leave halfway through, sit further back and on the aisle. They will likely enjoy these shows even later in the evening.

  • For your next adventure, those plugs you said were not American Standard actually are; those prong holes are meant for your power boxes, which can transform both 110v (American standard) and 220v (European standard) to the voltage needed to charge your devices. Just don’t plug in a surge protector. But all other power bricks will work.

  • This ship is so stunning and timeless, especially when compared to the announcements regarding to the newest ships (every single space of the ship being tied to a single ip, even the lobby on the destiny is going to be themed to black panther which I see as becoming dated fast). Comparing the magic to your article on the wish, I’d much rather vacation on this vessel than the wish as it looks more pleasant, inviting, and charming despite not being the newer and bigger ship. The wish’s layout seems more clunky and doesn’t flow as nicely as these older ships based on what I’ve seen on your article. Also the spaces on the wish are so drab, bland, and sterile, while the magic’s are so warm and unique. If it isn’t broken, don’t fix it, and yet Disney keeps doing just that and making worse ships imo.
