Which Nation Has A Mascot Ram?

The Ram mascot is a popular choice for schools, including high schools, colleges, and sports teams. Fordham University used live rams, all named Ramses, as mascots from 1925 to 1969. These rams were housed in a small brick building behind Queen’s Court next to Metro-North tracks.

In the late 70s, a ram’s head mascot began to appear on Dodge D Series pickups, which became known as Dodge Ram in 1981. Rampage is the official mascot of the Los Angeles Rams of the National Football League (NFL), introduced in July 2010. He is an anthropomorphic ram who wears a Rams uniform and wears the number one.

The Mercian Regimental Mascot, a Swaledale Ram, is known as “Private Derby” and is held on the official strength of the Regiment. Phil the Ram, the mascot of Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, has had a revamp just in time for the school’s bicentennial.

The Ram has been WSSU mascot since 1932, but it took the name Amon during the era of Hall of Fame Coach Bill Hayes. Colorado State University’s mascot, CAM the Ram, has its origins dating back to a 1946 competition to name the new face.

For four generations, the Hogans have been the caretakers of the live Ram mascot, which made its first appearance at a Carolina sporting event in 1924. Rameses came to Carolina to cheer on the Tar Heels over 35 years ago and never left! He supports the Carolina Family across 28 varsity teams.

Los Angeles is a more fitting locale for Rams than St. Louis, as the natural habitat of bighorn sheep covers the Rocky Mountain region of North America.

  • I’m a Ravens and Commanders (Redskins) fan. Ravens got their two mascots back because Poe got injured. Ravens had three mascots which they are named after Baltimore native and poet Edgar Allan Poe they retired Edger and Allan but kept Poe but now Edger and Allan are back. They look like Poe because it is the same mascot design.

  • Sorry that was hard for you, but you did a great job…..so thanks.👍 I didn’t Sofi Stadium was in the shape of the logo. Rags: I actually like him. I wondered why he was all white, but I guess the creater was going for a real ram look. Spirit: Cute. But rams can be very very grumpy at times. Huddles: He was okay, but a bit too toy like for me. Ramster: Nah, don’t like this one. He does look like a cat with horns. Rampage: I love this one. He’s one of the best looking mascots imo.

  • The thing about St. Louis is that it’s not a football city, it’s more of an baseball city. This is clear as when the arizona cardinals where in St. Louis, the baseball team drew more attendance than the football team, because St. Louis has a rich baseball history that includes legendary players like Rogers Hornsby, Stan Musial, Bob Gibson, Lou Brock, Ozzie smith, Albert Pujols and many others
