Why Possessive Lovers Are Drawn To You Houses Of Astrology?

In summary, astrology houses are crucial in understanding the nature of relationships and their potential for obsessiveness. Mars in the 1st house overlay indicates intense attraction, while Mars’ energy is assertiveness. Possessiveness may seem attractive at first glance but stems from insecurity and discomfort when treated like a thing they want. Understanding your birth chart and the aspects flowing through your 3rd, 7th, and 11th houses can help you understand the nature of your relationships.

The ruler of the 11th house is in negative aspect with Venus, which could lead to negative situations connected to Venus. Astrological houses are one of the three key building blocks of the birth chart, alongside planets and signs. Scorpios and Taurus can be particularly possessive in certain areas, while Venus, Mars, and the moon are associated with love.

Three specific houses are associated with love in the astrological chart: Houses 5, 7, and 8. Scorpio rules possessiveness, jealousy, and aggression, while planets like Sun and Mars should be aggressive, especially in the 7th house.

Taurians, Scorpio, and Leo are known for their loyalty and attachment with partners, but their loyalty can sometimes lead to possessiveness. When Venus is placed in the eighth house, individuals focus on keeping their love nature secret and private, benefiting from the marriage partner and the relationship. By understanding the 12 astrology houses and zodiac signs, individuals can better navigate their relationships and potential.

  • Solution – don’t share your information with jealous people. If they manage to get, taunt, pass sarcastic insults, gossip about you. Don’t react, step back observe & respond, remember not everything deserves your response too. Arguments that are leading no where, become silent & walk away. Once you recognise jealous people, keep healthy distance from them, let them deal with insecurities themselves.

  • Know a lot about these types of people. I have been bullied, humiliated, felt like I was acting childish and like I was the attention seeker. I would have the spotlight on me occasionally for good things and then some one would always ruin the moment. Had a group of former friends who would start drama over anything. The more I hanged out with them, the more mentally drained I felt. I have depression, insecurities, mood swings and anxiety. And they were completely toxic and brought down my mood. Now I cut people like that out of my life and only keep positive people

  • I know I will get attacked for admitting this, but I was a jealous person for far longer than I’d like to admit. Everything in this article is true. I had a major inferiority complex amd I was miserable with my own life. One day, I had to have serious conversation with myself. I recognized my accomplishments and owned up to my shortcomings. I vowed to stop being jealous of everyone and everything. By the way, through all of this, one thing I knew that I could never do was get a Facebook account. I have never had Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc. Anyway, I no longer express my insecurity through jealousy. Life is more enjoyable now. Anyway,

  • It sucks when the person who fits all 10 of these signs is your own sister. It was nothing but a competition with her but she never seemed to realize that she was the only one competing… Life has been 100% better since I cut her out of my life. If you have a toxic family member who is making you miserable, cut ties with them. They will only bring you down and just because they are family doesn’t mean you have to deal with it. Just my bit of advice that I wish someone had given me YEARS ago 🙂 Great article by the way!

  • Have a sister who puts me down all the time. I stopped talking to her as I’d had enough of her. Because I lived in a mobile home she saw me as a failure, but I wasn’t. Worked as a nurse for 50 yrs. Bought my own vehicles. Very independent person. Was a officer in civil air patrol. We flew search and rescue missions for the air force. I was able to do so much on my own and without a lot of money. I also flew my own airplane. Drove long distances to camp. My sister and brother have never said anything positive about me and I’ve done more than the two of them together. Both are married, and my sister well off financially.

  • It turns out I’ve been surrounded by envious people! I had to rid everyone from my past due to this very reason. I stuck around them because I truly thought I was the problem. Otherwise why would he say that or why would she act this way towards me? Instead of being able to see that they were acting out of their own self loathing, I now see that it was difficult for them to be happy for anyone else.

  • I had a boss jealous of me – it started as a statement “if you were married, with children – you would not be able to afford your gear” I would have given him my gear to have a family as he did. Anyway, the work environment was getting bad to worse – to the point I found another job and resigned. The boss climbed the ladder of success all the way to CEO – then he got caught embezzling and was fired. That did me no good – and I felt for all the folks he fired for petty reasons – he often bragged about the folks he fired – one was fired because they needed to repair the wipers on their car. So sad the world is full of these kinds of jerks and hardworking innocent folk has to deal with such.

  • My brother became extremely successful in the last five years and every single person in our family said it was impossible or a pipe dream. I told him to do it and then laugh in their face when he gets it. He just bought his 5th house and they don’t have a single negative thing to say. Now it’s “we always knew you could do it”!

  • Your article was definitely on point! I stopped talking to my sister because I discovered she’s jealous of me. And you have to be very careful of “friends”. If they undermine your achievements, gossip about you or compete with you, stay AWAY from them. Jealous people will try to destroy your life. Thats why I keep my circle very, very small now. More friends, more enemies!

  • This article just described both my mother & father. Had to separate myself from them in totality. And ever since, I’ve been thriving. It’s very hard to explain to women I date, but necessary for my own livelihood. My high spiritual growth has helped, and strengthened this lonely walk. Don’t judge those that are being used to break you. Accept your walk with GOD. And focus on your path. Is my message.

  • Take it as a compliment, because they wouldn’t be hating if you were ordinary/average. They run their mouth slandering you behind your back but never to your face. Total strangers have done this to me whom I never even knew the name of until they were trying to slander me(I was a basketball star in high school and played in college and I had a couple big jelly haters whom tried so hard to bring me down but I only smiled and thought they’re making me more famous and have more fans because of their slander so thanks!) take it as a compliment, they wouldn’t bother if you weren’t hot stuff 😅

  • I apologize if his sounds conceited but I’m being honest. I know what it’s like to have people be jealous and envious and because of this, I’ve learned to become more private and to myself. I don’t share certain details anymore. I had friends ask my credit score (since I’m buying a house) and I thought it was weird. No one has the right to know this info unless you’re my realtor/broker, payroll person or paying my bills. I think the more people know about you, they believe they know you more than yourself and start controlling you and this is their way of feeling superior because they are envious of your blessings.

  • Jealousy is dangerous never entertain it. Jealous people will start to act shady towards you when they see you get a promotion get fit, buy something nice, go on vacation. Just being happy. Don’t be surprised at how many people in this world are secretly miserable . I have lived in Almost whole states of miserable people and many of them had more than me .

  • They left off gaslighting, and vengeful behavior, along with guilt tripping, and manipulation. I grew up in toxic environment. Made the mistake of marrying someone who is toxic, and so are several members of his “family”. He abandoned me 6yrs ago which left me homeless for 5yrs and fighting the system to get a place which I succeeded in. None of them know where I live, or if I’m still alive.

  • Some people can’t help being jealous. I had a friend who had this problem, it turns out her childhood was very difficult. Her physical aspect was a problem too. You want to be patient and understanding but it is difficult to stay friends with someone who is always jealous and passive aggressive. They can’t help it, perhaps, but you don’t have to put up with them either, sad but true.

  • Honestly, people who are jealous just need to love themselves. Just cause someone has something nicer than you or something you desire doesn’t make you less valuable. You most likely have good things going in your life, appreciate the little things that make you yourself. You can never become anyone you’re comparing yourself to. So why not love being you.❤️

  • I know a few people like that; extremely envious to the point that they will lie about me, and will do anything to bring me down. Though they didn’t succeed, and I no longer interact with them. Anyone that can’t be happy for me when I’m happy, nor could bring themselves to compliment me for any achievements, and spends too much energy trying to upset me, that screams “Red Flags” to me, and those are not the people I will allow to upset me nor I want in my life, they’re not and will never be my friends – even when they pretend to be- I can see their narcissistic traits through their facade.

  • The comment that envious people don’t want you receiving any complements is sooo true. They want to keep you from what’s yours or even comes natural to you. They don’t want you to have anything good. I’m dealing with an envious person right now. True, they are always sticking their nose in your business and perusal every move you make. It’s sad that they work so hard trying to keep you away from what’s meant for you or already is yours. I’m sure their lives are pathetic and pitiful. I feel sorry for her or him. I really do. They can’t stop a thing and powerless to keep me from having what is mine in the long run 😁

  • Avoid people like this. It will only destroy your inner peace and worst your life as well. The worst case scenario is that if you start to cut them out your life they will labelling you some bad callings like your selfish, evil, bossy, pathetic, and so many that they will look like your victim and your an evil…So funny that those things they said to you are also stumble back right at their faces. So be yourself always..be happy and do whatever things right that makes you happy. Enjoy your life.

  • The solution is in setting boundaries. You can’t control them–hiwever, for myself, I will not make excuses for them! My highest purpose is to send out good vibes. At the same time, good vibes takes teamwork, so that if I’m positive while the other person gives a backlash of bad vibes in return, then I’ll hang with those who are positive while releasing the negative person to the universe!

  • so there was this girl in one of my classes last year. we started talking and becoming “friends”, after some time tho she would say stuff in front of other people to be embarrass me. she would always come up and ask me who i hate or like etc, generally she was the “mean girl” of the grade. I thought she just hated me but turns out she was jealous. here are some of the things she did – if one of my real friends complimented me she’d always would say to them “in your opinion”. – she would always do anything she could to make me upset. she would act like the victim if i got mad at her. – she physically and mentally destroy the things i made. she would gossip about me. and way more stuff that i’m not even going to say. i always hated myself for never doing any about it, but now that i think about it i didn’t have to do anything. her jealousy over me was the most powerful thing i could’ve done. i’m glad i kept talking to my friends (who she was friends with to, but they always wanted to be with me and not her so that was half of the reason she was jealous), so if you ever wonder why someone hates you, they are most likely jealous of you.

  • Damn that’s sad you just described my mother to the T I remember when she heard I was graduating with straight A’s she tried to stop me from attending my own graduation and made me get there late. Then she said my accomplishments were nothing because medical assistant jobs are for Mexicans ps she has something against Mexicans for whatever reasons. She has tried to stop me from going to school too but it didn’t work I made sure to always have a babysitter and never depended on her.

  • I have been dealing with people like this all my life. I always wondered why my grandmother said… ‘that they don’t care about you, they are jealous of you and they are using you. Only if that message sunk in at a early age. I could have evoided alot of these people. I could have been so much further in life. they literally do nothing but hold you back. My family fell apart when I was a teenager so I had to learn the organic way.

  • I think being sensitive and tactful around other people is important if you are successful, especially if your life changes and become more wealthy. Sometimes we are so joyful and excited when good things happen, we want to express how we feel wholeheartedly with people close to us.. experience has taught me to be a little cautious about this, as it unfortunately doesn’t always bring out the best in others

  • Jealous people are really sad, they don’t appreciate life. Its sad that some have achieved something in their lives and don’t even enjoy their achievements because they are looking at what other people have, they always want to be the centre of attention. We should learn to appreciate the gift of life and always remember there are some people out there in worse situations but are just happy to be alive.

  • HOLY-SHAT!!!! According to what I’m hearing from this article—some of the closest people to me have been jealous & envious of me all this time?!?! WOW—These characteristics I would have never thought of. This is bananas…but I’m glad to know this truth now. I can move forward knowing who my real true friends are. There aren’t many! WOW

  • Letter for letter, word for word, this seriously describes so many family members, co-workers…it is just sad. My eldest daughter graduated from Grad school in a year, immediately following her Undergrad degree and it was the most quiet, abandoned year of our lives. Only my friends who were mostly older than me congratulated her; literally, not even the grandparents showered her with any kind of congratulations. And, she was only 22 years old at that time. My brother literally was the only person in our entire family who even acknowledged it.

  • One thing that is very true, they are extremely nosy! Wanting to know where you’re going and even who you’re hanging out with!! They even wanna see picture of your friends to judge them! One dude was like, who you’re talking to, let me see a pic of her! Of course, she was undeniably attractive and that made him even more internally mad

  • Almost all of this describes my ex-roommates and I definitely believe jealousy and envy is a big part of why they treated me the way they did. One of the most blatant examples of this was one night one of them said to me, in a very aggressive and accusatory tone “Why is it that everyone likes you and has nothing but nice things to say about you, but people you know who know us hate us and want us dead?! What do you tell them about us?!” I had never once heard anyone say they wanted them dead. There were people who disliked them, sure, and frankly they probably had valid reasons. But I highly doubt that anyone “wanted them dead” or was actively out to get them like they were making it sound.

  • I wrote off a guy I’ve known over 30 yrs now for jealousy. Every conversation was the same shit. Adding to everything I said, arguing, blaming others, lying, competing, criticizing, gaslighting, discouraging my choices, one upping me, wannabe subject matter expert on politics….just one nauseating individual.

  • I once worked in retail. The flagship store was in close proximity. Month after month we smashed the records for performance & we became the best performing store in the country. My sister store (flagship store would ride on our success). I had other states ask me for advice & I always offered help. The flagship store manager was very jealous of our results & would scream at his staff to do better. I wish I could just say “it’s you who is the problem, not the staff” but he wanted to live in his ivory tower & demand staff work harder to outperform us.

  • Thanks for the article!! I didn’t realize how much this happens! I had a jealous girl in my team during my Master she drove me crazy so passive-aggressive. I almost dropped out till I said I’m going online and lied saying I needed to change to online bc of time management not bc I’m scared of a girl. I’d never felt so lonely in my life. The sad thing is in another group a girl also moved online with me because she was bullied. She is Catalan and people would write nasty messages in the group chat directly to her saying don’t write in Catalan and behind her back say racist things. For such educated people backward thinking.

  • Jealousy is a strong emotion…and we live in a world that is consumed with it…Most people judge you by what you have or your looks..It’s sad most of these people are close to you..family and friends..They won’t admit it of course but will show it with their demeanor in a quick way..Don’t ever let them bring u down..don’t care and move forward..You know what there doing no need to give them your energy..Sooner or later they have to say if u can’t beat them join them..

  • One of my biggest haters was in my first two years of college. I was in theater arts, rushed for a fraternity, ran for office, wrote for the campus newspaper, and more. He started saying crap as I walked into the dorm… when that didn’t work, he did whatever it took to catch my attention. If I showed up at a mixer, having fun, he would stand around and whisper to other people, stare, and have a goofy smile on his face. The more I achieved, the more he tried to rain on my parade. When award night had come and gone, I overheard him talking about how it was too easy, anyone could do what I did, I was lucky, and I didn’t deserve it. I didn’t get mad or confront him…I knew I got under his skin and that was enough. Next year, I was always involved with something and he ramped up his jealousy when I started dating someone. I can handle it if it’s me but don’t go after someone that I care about. So I talked to the dorm mom about it and we had a meeting. He was like, ” You woke me up for this? ” I went in …I told him that if he wants to come after me, fine because I can handle it but leave my friends and my girlfriend out of it. I told him to find something to do and leave me alone. He smirked until the head of campus security walked in and informed that I could make a charge of harassment…two more complaints and he would be good as gone. He glared at me and I said that if he didn’t believe that I would…try me. He backed off finally and the head of security reminded from time to time to watch it and not to harass anyone else.

  • Searching for a solution, one day I confessed to my Acupuncturist doctor that I do have to many envious persons around me. The doctor asked me how many peopes I found that they are envious of me. I replayed: roughly ten persons. My doctor replayed to me: Until you don’t have at least one hundreed peoples envious about you, you didn’t acomplished anything in life! It is so freaky unconfortable to have envious colleagues and family members!

  • They act like you did something wrong like they have something personal against you, you can see anger in their facial expressions mostly because envy is a feeling like sadness some people cand hid it some people can´t. They compete with you, when you are not competing with them, they are focus on you even if you don´t know them or did something wrong to them. They treat you badly with behaviours they can excuse later as a misunderstandings like throw the door in your face when you are behind, or do subtle things to downgrade you image like avoid you in front of others . Usually this is accompanied with lies and rumors to justify and encourage more disrepect from others . If you are going to confront them they escape because they know they were the ones who have a wrong behaviour, they also usually don´t give you time to confront them or they just act like they didn´t do anything. The most common thing they say it´s you think you are too much or something similar but more subtle, like you are not too beautiful or smart as you think, when the ones who act superior and arrogant with you are usually them.

  • You didn’t touch on jealousy within a relationship. I use to be that person. It was very hard to over come. Being extremely insecure and young, did not help. My partner also fed on it. Until it interfered with his womanizing. We were both very sick puppies. Once I started having children. All the insecurities seemed to disappear. My children gave me the unconditional love I desperately needed.

  • Jealousy is an emotion you can’t control. Noooooooooooooo one wants to be jealous. It’s manifested by one’s own thought of lack or thinking you can’t have or be what you see in another. SOOOOOO when I encounter with those that are jealous, I try to show them I’m not better or worse then they are. I just use more of my time to understand who I am, what I like, and do and don’t want in my life, more than I worry about others. That helps me stay in my lane and appreciate others in theirs🤷🏾‍♀️😘

  • Well, sometimes I am envious that somebody gets something I want and I cant afford it, but I am not jealous. You know why? Because I was brought up not to think I was equal to everyone else. When my mother bought my brother a car I wasnt jealous. She couldnt afford to buy us both one so why not let him enjoy it. Other people reacted tonit and told me to ocmplain it wasnt fair. Why? It was her choice. I think children being treated equally is wrong, we are not fundamentally equal. One of the reasons my father gave when my brother was allowed to do something and not me was that I was a girl and he was a boy. I accepted that. Birthday presents were only for the person who had the birthday. People need to learn not to be so self-entitled, its notbjust about low self-esteem.

  • When you share something good with them, you’ll always get a bad vibe. Like they want it to go bad. And saying stuff like “yeah, I’m totally alright” in an obvious sarcastic manner as though your accomplishments diminish theirs. And some of them will purposely ask you questions so that they can extract that information and make you feel bad about having good things. They live pathetic lives.

  • When an adult is jealous of you, they seek to punish you or create suffering. Punishing an adult may include denying, destroying, humiliation, etc. The fact that adults have the right to have, gain, earn, and live without being subject to jealous adults creating hardship is a powerful truth. People are extremely jealous of me. I got some adults trying to punish me like I am a child. IGNORANCE PERSONIFIED= JEALOUSY= CAUSING PROBLEMS FOR YOU

  • In my opinion it’s hard for us to see the difference between people who support us or people who get jealous to us. Nowadays there are people who full of fake and i think they won’t show some signs (like this article said) whether they support us or hate us. Just be careful to meet people and even your close friends can betray you

  • I am so so grateful, my whole family is so content and happy, we are like the proverbial pigs in sh*t, the only thing to make us happier is to shovel more on top! We love sharing good news, knowing the person on the other end is rooting for them! Life is too short! We all share frugal tips daily, we all push each other so we can all retire early and go on more holidays together! My parents instilled that since we were toddlers! Thankfully, all the kids are the same! If one is unhappy, wr all finds ways to bring them up again! Close knit families always should!

  • I used to have what I thought was a friend, since childhood. I was adopted as a child and I met her soon after, through my parents and hers being friends as well. Fast-forward to adulthood, and I’ve fallen out of contact with my adoptive parents (long story and not a good one), met and started dating my (now) husband, and had my own place. Well, her being jealous didn’t kick in until after my husband and I got married, we got our first vehicle, and started sharing our plans for our future together as a couple. Her life was in shambles, her long-term boyfriend was still cheating on her, neither one was working, so they were lucky to be living in a crappy apartment. We (my husband and I), had been staying in a pretty nice apartment complex that had a pool that we could use at any time. We’ve never had much money, but we were making steps in the right direction, and things although were tough, were working out for us. Life was pretty decent. Then I noticed she was jealous, I still don’t fully understand why; she had the same opportunities that I had, but I was willing to learn from my mistakes, whereas she hadn’t learned from any of hers and was always playing the “victim card”. Maybe that was the problem: I happen to be younger than her and took the chance to learn something. She’s never wanted to actually work for what she wants; she just expects whatever she wants, just because. I happen to know the world just doesn’t work like that, and have realized that I need to work, to earn what I want from this life.

  • Yep, I have a “friend” who I’ve nicknamed The Doubt Whisperer. I can always count on them to covertly look nice and supportive in the presence of others, but whisper doubt in my ear, when they see me striving or winning. They are also always good for bad advice. That whatever my narcissistic mother needed, I should comply. I know where it comes from though. Their own possibly-narcissistic raising and their subsequent lack of confidence in themselves and their own life, plus they decided to pick me, in their misery loves company agenda. Fortunately, although I’m unable to part ways with them currently, I see them for what they are and I chuckle at the thought that they might think I consider them to be an influencer in my life.

  • A distant relative’s partner, who was also a high school classmate, started asking for my opinion on various controversial subjects. I gave her the most honest and logical answers I could. One night I came back from a walk to find she had posted a nasty smackdown about me on social media. Before I could delete it — and defriend her — several friends had read the post and taken up for me. I had to figure out how to thank them without gloating. It wasn’t easy. In retrospect I realize she has always been a bitter and controlling person with a jealous streak. It doesn’t say much for my relative’s judgment either.

  • This made me realize that I’ve been envious in the past but also a lot of people I know are apparently envious of myself. I have this cousin who always underestimated my passion for drawing portraits by saying I was doing silly stuff or that I take so long when that is easy and fast and nothing bothers me than someone who doesn’t appreciate the efforts of others, especially artists. Like, if it’s so easy, why don’ t you do it yourself?

  • Envy is from everywhere and very destructive, in relationships from family . Even people who don’t know you .The world is competitive, the best, the handsomeest, the prettiest, the smartest, the younger, the most talented the richest I guess the list goes on and on . Being humble and honest is maybe harder for sum ppl

  • This is true my ex is like this always discouraging and putting me down with others. At One point I was so emotionally drained and eventually made up my mind to leave him Today when I look back I am not longer the girl he use to know! It has made me grown into the woman I have become today and it’s wasn’t easy. Never the less I am always improving myself and and hopefully attract my better half!

  • You’re describing the narcissist. They don’t suffer from low self esteem. They genuinely believe they should be worshipped at all costs. They aren’t jealous of what you have. They’re jealous because you’re breathing THEIR air and you need their permission. Leave. Go grey rock. Cut them off. Do what you need to do because they…will…not…change. They will suck an empath dry and they’ll be a shell of who they were. They deserve no compassion because they have none. Oh, they can fake it till they have your attention, but it’s a carefully crafted act. I don’t see this as a mental illness. This is frikkin evil itself.

  • A hard dose to swallow when this describes a parent….. I realize I will never measure up to my dad’s standards. What I can say today is I have changed the game, diffused all the buttons he installed, and now he doesn’t have the playbook and now when he attacks my response is like the water when shaken and opened, and not the soda

  • I had a so called “best friend” for almost 16 years, every single thing in this article is exactly what she would do to me. For so long everyone around me including her own family would ask why I wanted to be friends with her, I use to think and believe some of the crap she would say and do until people opened up my eyes t her jealousy. It got so bad I uninvited her to my wedding because she was already trying to upstage me with the dress and the entrance right down to telling people she was pregnant. I didn’t want to risk her announcing pregnancy at MY wedding since she was upstaging me with everything else. I realized she was never a friend to begin with, just a bully who needed someone around to Costantly make me feel bad about myself for how shitty of a person she really is. The funny thing is, she got held back in school 3 times! I by no means have anything against people who are held back in school, some people need more help, I am however against someone who would call me stupid and try to correct me when she’s the one who needed to repeat the same grade 3 times and I graduated on time with honors. She really truly had this belief about herself that she was betterthan me in so many ways even after being proven time and again she wasn’t. I honestly felt bad for her and just let her feel this way because it was sad.

  • I had a co-worker like this. She would be nice & supportive to everyone else but was everything listed in this article to me. On top of that, she would be passive aggressive as well & to this day I don’t know what I did that was so bad for her to feel that way towards me. SN: I’ll admit that I felt insecure around her but I never tried to take that out on her or be mean to her. I’m trying to grow and mature as a person

  • I have always been confident, positive person and never envious or jealous of anyone. Realizing at a young age from my upbringing others success is opportunity for me. That is true about energy vampires coming to kill, steal and destroy but they didnt get the memo “I am protected by God” that part these people cant stop what God has in store for me. 👏❤

  • I remember how my sister would be in a rage if I got any help from anyone, despite how much I needed it, and just beamed with happiness when she thought something bad happened to me or something about my life sucks. She just couldn’t hide her joy when she heard someone badmouth the staff from the apartment I lived in, and told me how my brand new apartment building was ‘a dump’ because of that person being angry about staffmember behaveing badly. My sister never saw the building once. She was infuriated that I received disability payments and threatened to contact the government and tell them I am cheating the government (which I wasn’t) because I was getting g help for having a disability while she, who doesn’t have a disability, wasn’t getting financial help from the government. It was sick. Ironically…my disability was due to ongoing neglect and abuse from our father that caused mental illness and then brain damage. And my sister was infuriated that I was going to the hospital or getting any help over having mental illness because apparently, me getting help ‘ruins her peace’ and ‘I ruin everything’ That bitch is absolutely twisted.

  • Ah, and what about the one where they want to have everything good they see us having? They will go to the end of the world to try to find a unique item that we have gotten which we didn’t buy from a común store. They won’t give us a complement about the beautiful item but they want it. However, sometime later, we will see them with something similar on them. That is a big red flag that someone is envious of us. If they have a master plan to use us for something in the future, they will play nice because they know, we have what they need, and they can’t afford to make enemies out of us.

  • Someone will always have something better. In the end God will always bless his people and one should never question it or rather ask” why her not me” we all can succeed unfortunately our success does not show at the same time, it’s all about pace and turns and we should acknowledge and appreciate this. Being happy for others is a constant must.

  • What’s crazy to me is that I recently expressed that I was a little sad about a loved one having cancer. It was flipped around as me trying to be a Debbie downer. I see that they are happy. I come around trying to make them sad. In all actuality, they did this to me. Whenever I would want to hang with my family…they would get jealous and say mean things. Bring me down while I’m with my family. Threatened me about leaving because I was. If I had a good time, they wanted to project their sadness onto me. Can’t make this stuff up.

  • My so called late mother and father did nothing but put me down, call me names and kept me a prisoner in their house, throughout my childhood. I had one brother who was 12 years older than me and he was just as bad as them but they loved him. I walked away from the three of them as soon as i was legally allowed to. My life has been a struggle and i am a bit of a loner but at least i am free. I love social media though! It’s my lifeline! xxxx

  • I found out that someone I used to call a friend was jealous of me when I was in my second year of college. This situation is the reason why I said “used to call a friend”. I dumped her not long after I found out about her jealousy. We both studied business in college. She was studying full time and I was studying part time and had a full time job on top of that. I don’t think she liked the fact that I was able to study and work at the same time. She had a couple of part time jobs while studying but gave up on each job after a month or two. A couple of times I asked if she could help explain something I learned in a class as she was a year above me and I knew she would’ve studied whatever topic before I did. She kept telling me she’ll dig out her old notes from back then, arrange to sit down with me, etc but she would put it off whenever I mentioned it. She even told me she would definitely organise something with me after I suggested that she could forget it and I could arrange a meeting with my teacher. Part of me thinks that if she had a bachelors degree but no job, I could have a job but no degree and that I would eventually drop out. I did repeat a year of college but I currently have my bachelors degree and currently planning on doing another year sometime in the next couple of years

  • Sometimes when someone is secretly jealous of your looks, they try to sabotage your style. They may tell you that a certain dress looks amazing when in fact it looks bulky and awkward. Or they may praise your new cargo shorts that actually look like you’re auditioning for the world’s biggest douchebag

  • More people need to be aware of this and rid these people of your life no matter how hurtful it may be to you we try to love them but they just don’t love back in the way that it needs to be done it’s not a narcissistic thing to want to be loved the way you want to be loved also remembering that we need to lower our standards in order to please the ones we care about.

  • So I’ve been at my job for four months now. I was talking to this girl, building rapport…you know, the usual. Then my boss goes out of his way to tell me that girl is his fiancee (now his wife). Ever since then, he’s been displaying some of the traits in this article. I feel like he is jealous, but I need to be sure.

  • I have a sister like this. She’s been physically and verbally abusive to me my whole life. I don’t understand why. She has everything, always has. While I have to struggle constantly. I don’t ever bother anyone. I always mind my own business, and never cause any problems. She gets along with no one and tries to destroy any relationships i have. I cut her off after my parents passed. Never had so much peace.

  • They really do. A mother who does these things is the weirdest … I assumed that all mothers want their children to do well and be happy, and didn’t even suspect my mother could be making “mistakes” on purpose to destroy her own daughter. When you justify, argue, defend and explain (JADE), they feel like the victim and if you react emotionally, you look like the problem and they feel justified. Learn about narcissistic abuse and establish boundaries. Covert narcissists only get worse. An online article by Parrish Miller summarises the characteristics of the narc mother, and Dr Les Carter and Dr Ramani have educational YouTube websites to help us recover, unlearn bad habits and move on.

  • If you suspect someone is jealous of you I wouldn’t trust them for nothing! Please don’t ignore the red flags from my experience even my life was in jeopardy over a jealous so called friend. Stay safe unceasingly pray don’t feel bad for cutting people off that is not meant to be in your life it may save your life 💖God Bless.

  • The saddest part is that these people dont change, i tried extremely hard to make my ex- colleague lower his jealousy towards my achievements, sometimes by even putting him on a higher scale, encouraging, forgiving him even when he wouldnt lose a single opportunity to insult or bring me down. I feel extremely sad for him. May god give him peace. The best thing to do is to run away from these people as they stalk your every account, they count every move and copy each action of yours. Stay away from these toxic people asap.

  • I have a brother like that. Twenty odd years ago he was going through a bad patch, after his ex partner who was thirteen years older than him, realised how childish and immature he was and dumped him. At the time I was living in another city, about twenty miles away but he would often phone me, late at night and drunk, and then he would assassinate his exe’s character, even though she was the mother of his child. This was the level of his spite: he got a female Alsatian puppy. And he told me that he called it, Tina (after his ex). Then he would say, “Do you know why I called it Tina?” and then he would reply, “Because she’s a bitch.” He would often go on like this, sometimes for two or three hours, even though it was in the early hours and I had to get up for work early in the morning but he didn’t at the time. In spite of his childishness, I worked with him and eventually, after about eighteen months to two years, he seemed to get something of a grip and cut down on the drinking and found a good job. But the experience hadn’t mellowed him; he had totally changed from the brother that I had grown up with, becoming bitter and resentful, firing snidey digs at me in front of other people. I remember him doing it once in front of my best friend and I went wild, saying “Don’t f#%¥$g come down here onto my patch and talk like that. Stfu or foxtrot off.” The arrogance! There were five of us with the half brother, and out of all the brothers he was the only one who had a problem with all the other brothers wives or partners.

  • I recently got engaged and experienced almost every one of these signs with a “friend.” The thing is that she’s very attractive and so of course I’m sure her jealousy comes from thinking SHE deserves my happiness. I’m going let her go be a mess by herself, she wasn’t interesting anyway, you know — because she didn’t have to “try.’

  • There’s this girl that I’ve tried to be friends with we met through our husbands my husband is friends with her husband every time I try to make conversations she shuts me down by telling me she’s shy and doesn’t want to talk and gets away from me but she’s not shy I’ve seen her socialize with others but when I try to make friends with her she shuts me down i can’t figure her out but her husband said she comes from a big family and grew up getting attention so I feel like it’s jealousy even tho I’ve done nothing to her and don’t have a reason only times shes looked or smiled at me is when we’re all joking and someone points something out about me……

  • This is crazy, but jealous is contagious. I NEVER was a jealous person. Until I started hanging out with people who are jealous, I did not even recognize that it was jealous they were displaying until after a long time. I thought it was just their behaviour. Until I started having the same behavior. At first I thought I was sick. I did not know it was jealous.

  • I’ve been going through this exact thing at my job that I have been working for for a year. Is the 2 guys have miserable and horrible lives and in worse relationships. But they try to tear me down every chance they get get because my life is completely opposit’s completely opposite of theirs more positive. Like when I 1st started working there I used to drive my BMW 330i but after A few weeks I noticed noticed that they were constantly constantly trying to talk about the car I drive so I left my BMW at home and started driving my Toyota to work. That was a good and a bad decision because now they know I have multiple cars. And they’re wondering how Does a guy like me becomes so successful But instead of asking me they just they just be jealous, envious & Try to tear me down every chance they get it’s like they live for me to make a mistake so they can talk about it all day.

  • I was taught how to deal with those feelings . But others never do. It also a thing when a spouse can not share you with jobs, friends, pets, or possesions. So if some one lies the other spouse will want you dead. It can be a very small world. Everyone feels this emotion . Yet some just never learn it is them and they have to feel it but not act act on it.

  • I mean i feel jealous of some peeps, but happy for their achievements and hard work for them and always make sure to let them know how awesome they are doing even if inside i kinda wish i was in their shoes..but i don’t think i have come across anyone who has done all these things if any.. either that or i just have never paid attention to it 🤷

  • These things are so true, it happens with my close family members they only call when they want money and favors, I love them very much, but what hurts the most they talk about me behind my back, I’ve given them lots of money and none of them have offered me 10 dollars, I encourage them, and the only time they call is when there is trouble or they need something. I’m glad I have peace now, you just have to let even family go, you love them but don’t allow them access to you!

  • Some of the most destructive people are those who have brains and talent, but no self-discipline: they don’t finish their education because of substance abuse, someone’s unplanned pregnancy, or sheer lack of self-discipline, and when an agemate sticks to the plan and gets one or more degrees… God help that agemate! The screwup will even go to the trouble of maintaining a false friendship just so they can mindfuck the person they envy.

  • Boy this article is very educational yet reminding me of things all my life what I’ve experienced and I did not have parents that was not rich I come from a poor background and everything that I’ve done I have to struggle and done and do it on my own I had no older siblings or younger siblings I was brought up as the only child and I’m just so thankful to know that I love me and spider if other people don’t like me or can’t stand me or hate me or what have you I’m experiencing such things as an adult at this time from certain people different faces females males or more females along with that horrible disgusting attitude and I make sure that they are not too close to me and I avoid them they try to disrespect me and pull me down verbally all kind of ways trying to hurt me even physically on the job I work as a productionist at this company and it’s just like it’s crucial at times it is really something because I’m overwhelmed and just sad most of the time these people act like the jailer or something at a jail well I thank you and appreciate you all making these articles cuz they help me to ration out what I have to do and must do choose between never to just act out if people try to make me angry and know that I have to have bills to pay and have to put up with people insulting me putting me down and blaming things on me when it’s not out even my fault and just all sorts of things that’s so negative toxic people thank you and keep on doing a wonderful job you’re doing brainy dose and everyone is responsible for the information thanks a million 💯✨😑

  • The sad part about this is that people like that will never watch this article,I deal with envy and jealousy every day and it’s gotten so bad in 2021 that I feel like it’s the norm to be this way and I’m the weird one for not being jealous and envious,I’ve noticed minding my business is not going to change anything for this people, they hate no matter what you do,can you make a article to help jealousy and envy,it’s really bad out here, like a epidemic or a virus, insecurity, jealous and envious people they usually have all 3 plus self hatred.

  • I have a friend that always tries to steal my thunder. When I got together with my boyfriend, she suddenly announced that she’s got a boyfriend too and that he’s “much more handsome and taller” than my boyfriend. When my boyfriend and I signed a contract for a new apartment, she bragged about also signing a contract for a new apartment that is gonna be larger and cheaper than ours. At my baby shower she announced to everyone that she and her boyfriend are gonna be trying for a baby soon. My boyfriend jokes about how on the day he proposes to me, she’s probably gonna show up with a ring on her finger as well and say that it’s prettier and more expensive than mine🤣

  • I am gonna be honest, I have felt envy and jealous and I have done like didn’t validate that friend and try to be good and somehow kinda ruin a friendship with my behaviour but then when I acheive something, and I felt like some of my friends try to ignore me when they think I have achieved something, I felt very lonely,I had no one and then I tried to please them, and they try to diminish me, which really hurts because I think they were some of my good friends, then I understood what was that like to feel, then I understood how that friend of mine felt when I did such thing, I couldn’t control myself back then and ruined a friendship, I was 17 years old, and you know I am a man, so it’s hard for me to say sorry,so I never said sorry bit after sometime everything felt normal, and that incident gave me a lesson thatnever be jealous of your friends, even if you are try to control your behaviour and not ruin your friendship by it

  • She wasn’t even my friend but she came creeping close disguising as that she wanted to be my friend. Never did I know she was discrediting me behind my back at the same time asking me out to have dinner to get to know me. However, I was wise enough to notice all of her TEN signs. I immediately cut off any ties to her starting with a benign rejection now taking distance from her. She is now annoyed that I do not react to any of her disrespectful behavior. I know that she checking on me and telling bad things to people around her but I DO NOT CARE. I am proud of who I am and being confident is what make me present.

  • Beware. Don’t allow one sided input into your relationship. Sometimes small things appears a big obstacles and you need some support. Don’t go to anyone that hasn’t earned your respect in years, or you don’t know long enough to and they have the gift of not being a nongossiping person, don’t assume older people know or have wisdom, they can be the most envious and have nothing good to offer your growth or development. Tell your significant other what your needs are. Built your relationship without outsiders interfering, keep your business private, youd be surprised when and who are your true friends, you might not have any.

  • Waoh. This was eye opening. I had a couple friends who were toxic. And basically ridiculed me daily about mistakes I made. Even made jokes and memes about them. I distanced myself and became closer to someone else. I for some reason get back in touch with them, and introduce them to my new friend. It didn’t take long for them to try to embarrass me in front of them. My friend caught on quicker than I did but ultimately I cut contact with them.

  • I had a co-worker jealous of me in short jealous and envious people 100% believe you are better than them which causes the internal negative reaction they give to others. Jealousy is negative praise. Jealousy is also a very contrary emotion how can you dislike something in someone that you love for yourself??? sounds selfish to me that is why I could never be friends or hang out with jealous people.

  • Ah, and what about the one where they want everything good they see us having? They will go to the end of the world to a unique item that we have, which we didn’t buy from a común store. They don’t complement us about the beautiful item. However, sometime later, we will see in them something similar. That is a big red flag that someone is envious. If they have a master plan to use us for something in the future, they will play nice because they know, we have what they need, and they can’t afford to make enemies out of us.

  • I think the only thing I’m guilty of when it comes to jealousy is with partners keeping in touch with their ex. Even if there’s nothing going on, it is kinda irritating. That’s the only time when jealousy rears its ugly head with me, when it actually has a direct impact on my well-being because I don’t know if I can trust this person anymore. It’s why I don’t date women with children because of course the father (if he’s any kind of real man) is still going to be in her life and that will cause complications I don’t need (and I don’t want to look after someone else’s kids anyway). Other than that. I’ve never once cared about how successful someone is, best friend or acquaintance. After all, it makes no difference to my life whether someone is successful or not. And if something doesn’t personally affect me, I couldn’t care less about it. I never understood my old friends who would say “Oh I was really envious when you got this inheritance” or “Weren’t you envious when I got that job that paid twice as much as the one you had?”. I’m like “umm no. It made no difference to my life. Literally nothing changed from one day to the next for me when you got that job”. Now that might make me look bad in a weird way, like I only care about myself so I can’t possibly get jealous of people I simply don’t care about. I do of course care about any long-term girlfriends, a select few long-term close friends and obviously my family. But most friendships are fleeting and I don’t get too invested with how much money other people make as I’m not going to lose anything from them being wealthy.

  • I can easily detect a jealous person. For example, someone who doesn’t know anything about music production and has never made a song in their life, yet gives “constructive” criticism like they’re an expert and talks negatively about a song that is good is definitely envious. I don’t pay attention anymore to negative people anyway. I understand their psychology and how they operate.

  • I’ve been dealing with a narcissistic coworker for over 25 years and the employer refuses to do anything about it – because they don’t want to pay him severance. A year ago he escalated the situation when he body-checked me out of view of security cameras. He got exactly what he wanted out of it, me freaking out and threatening to terminate his existence. Off he ran to management with the story that I had assaulted him AND threatened him, all while he was innocently walking down a hallway doing his job. And because he’s been buttering up management for 25 years, I received a reprimand and a strike in my employee file. Why not just leave you wonder…because the compensation is good and I have great friends there. I asked for more security cameras to be installed but that request was turned down. Now I can see that he is plotting, planning his next move. Thanks for letting me vent
