Can I Use Magic Bands In Disney Springs?

MagicBands are wearable technology that connects experiences booked through My Disney, a Disney-owned platform. They can be used at most Disney-owned and operated stores and restaurants in Disney Springs, including World of Disney. In 2022, the MagicBand+ was released with more technological updates. MagicBands use Radio Frequency (RF) technology and can be read by short and long-range readers located at Walt Disney World Resort.

You do not need a MagicBand to enter Disney Springs, but if you want to charge purchases or link your PhotoPass photos, you will need to have a MagicBand. MagicBands and MagicBand+ products use Radio Frequency (RF) technology and can be set up on your own in the MDE app. With the MagicBand+, you can interact with select attractions and experiences.

Disney Springs has a Marketplace location, and there are numerous places at Disney Springs that sell them, such as pin traders outposts and Disney stores. You can pick up the bands from the Disney Store in Disney Springs and link your tickets to them or pick up your tickets at guest relations in the parks.

MagicBands can be purchased at nearly any store at Disney Springs, including restaurants, and most offer the AP discount and resort delivery. Some, though not all, accept MagicBand+. The bands are available for purchase in many locations, including World of Disney, Disney’s Pin Traders at Disney Springs, and select Disney Resorts.
