Did A Fire Exist In Magic Kingdom?

On February 23, 2024, a small fire at Disney World’s Magic Kingdom prompted guests to evacuate an area of the park next to Cinderella Castle. A tree caught fire inside the Magic Kingdom, leading to some evacuations before it was extinguished. Earlier that night, there were reports of a fire at Magic Kingdom, and guests stopped at Liberty Square. The Reedy Creek Fire Department responded to reports of a fire near Cinderella Castle, with emergency services responding.

Despite an article and videos from satire site MouseTrapNews.com indicating otherwise, Cinderella Castle at Disney World’s Magic Kingdom did not catch fire and burn down. Disney in a statement obtained by Scott Gustin stated that “there was a small fire in Magic Kingdom. The fire was quickly extinguished by fire extinguishers. No one was hurt”.

As of December 15th, Magic Kingdom is back to normal, and the Cinderella Castle and surrounding area are safe. Rumors have been spreading on social media that rioters set Cinderella Castle at Disney World on fire, but the Cinderella Castle in Disney World has not burned down. The photo that tricked people into believing that Cinderella Castle at Walt Disney World in Florida burned down was generated using artificial lighting.
