Master Quest is an expansion to The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, which contains largely the same content as the original game but with redesigned, more difficult dungeons akin to a Second Quest. It was first made available for the Nintendo GameCube on a special bonus disc that also contained the original Ocarina of Time.
Both titles retain the same story, locations, and characters, but the dungeons are remixed and the 3DS version is flipped left-to-right. The dungeons are harder, but the order of progression through their chambers has been changed. The Heart Piece locations in Master Quest have been left mostly intact from the original game, with the exception of one in the Ice Cavern.
The Master Quest version of the game takes advantage of the unique spell mechanic and several areas of progression required its use. The game itself is the same, but the dungeons have all been completely redone with harder puzzles, more difficult enemies, and double damage contributes.
In addition to the dungeons, the game has also changed the order of progression through their chambers. Players must talk to the same five people depending on the school in which they want to learn master spells. Master Quest is included in one of the GameCube releases and the 3D version.
In summary, Master Quest is a reworked version of Ocarina of Time, with new puzzles and increased difficulty. Players must have all spell levels for the college they wish to go for before talking to the master of that college.

Why is Ocarina of Time better than Majora’s Mask?
The choice between Majora’s Mask and Ocarina of Time lies with the player. Ocarina of Time offers a more forgiving and adventure-oriented experience, suitable for new players or adventure seekers, while Majora’s Mask provides a more challenging and gameplay-driven experience for experienced players or those seeking a challenge. The N64 differences between the two games are also discussed.
How much harder is OoT Master Quest?
Master Quest 3D, alongside mirror mode, enhances gameplay by doubling the damage of all enemies. This makes Master Quest a genuine hard mode, offering new dungeons, a mirrored overworld, and extra difficulty. Both Ocarina of Time and Master Quest contain 100 Gold Skulltula, with many found within dungeons. Half of the Gold Skulltula questline is radically different between the two versions, but it’s worth hunting down. The quest aims to show players every hidden nook and cranny in Hyrule, with only 50 needed for the Heart Piece.
Master Quest’s dungeon Skulltula are harder to find due to comparatively worse level design, making the quest less thrilling. The Gold Skulltula quest is a testament to the game’s unique challenges and unique features.
Why is link right handed in Master Quest?
Nintendo’s Twilight Princess and Skyward Sword games have varying degrees of player orientation. In the GameCube version, Link was left-handed, while in the Wii version, the world was flipped due to the assumption that most players were right-handed. The Wii U version, however, mirrored the GameCube button layout and added a gyroscope function, resulting in Link being left-handed again. The “hero mode” also flips the world map. Motion controls were mirrored in both versions to create different appearances.
In Twilight Princess, Link was right-handed due to the ratio of left-handed to right-handed people, as Nintendo knew there were more right-handed players. This was also the case in Skyward Sword, where Link was also right-handed for the majority.
Is Master Quest Ura Zelda?
The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Master Quest was a bonus game released on a promotional disc containing the original Ocarina of Time. It was intended to be a Nintendo 64DD expansion disk, but some fans were disappointed with the new logo and reworked dungeon object layouts. The version was later flipped horizontally and included in the Ocarina of Time 3D remake, with other major and minor changes.
How long does it take to 100% Ocarina of Time?

Is Master Quest mirrored?
It seems reasonable to posit that the mirrored version of Master Quest will serve to enhance its uniqueness from the original, given that it was not originally conceived as a more challenging iteration of the Zelda series. Nintendo recognized that the majority of individuals are right-handed, and thus, mirroring MQ is an unnecessary endeavor.

Is Sheikah a Hylian?
The Sheikah, also known as the Shadow Folk, are a mysterious and secretive humanoid race in The Legend of Zelda series. They are the chosen guardians of the Goddess Hylia and are sent to protect and guide the descendants of her mortal incarnation, the Royal Family of Hyrule. They excel in mobility, jumping, and hand-to-hand combat. They have enhanced their technical capabilities with various research and created unique tools.
The Sheikah have been prominently mentioned in Ocarina of Time, Twilight Princess, and Skyward Sword, but as a race, they only appeared in Breath of the Wild. Impa was the only confirmed member in earlier games. Their symbol, an eye with three pointed lashes atop and a tear drop, is found on various objects around Hyrule, such as Gossip Stones, Sheikah Stones, the Lens of Truth, the Mask of Truth, Howling Stones, and the entrance to the Shadow Temple.
Despite their rarity, the Sheikah are known for their distinctive red eyes and pointed ears, which they share with the Hylians. All Sheikah in Breath of the Wild have white hair, but other hair colors have been seen with Impa in other games, such as purple in A Link Between Worlds and blonde in Skyward Sword.
What is the hardest Ocarina to play?
The Shadow Temple, also known as the House of the Dead, is a challenging dungeon in The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, built by the Sheikahs. Located in the Graveyard behind Kakariko Village, players must use Hover Boots to clear gaps and dodge enemies to avoid falling into the darkness below. The Shadow Temple also features hidden objects and fake walls that require the Lens of Truth to identify. The confusing layout, especially for first-time players, makes it the most difficult dungeon in The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time.
📹 Skyrim – Master Restoration Guide
The master restoration spells in Skyrim are not what you would expect.
The Turquoise Ring helps with Myrdinns quest. I didn’t have the Coutrly Tunic, and so wasn’t able to give him the books first because he wouldn’t open the door for me. So I did Trysha’s SpellBound quest first. After I got the Courtly Tunic, I went to Myrdinns to give him the spells, but after some dialogue, he found out I helped Trysha learn magic and he got upset because he’s her father. He refused to teach me the meister spell for sorcerer, but a second quest option appeared telling me to find a way to make up with Myrdinn. I rested for a day, got the Turquoise Ring and went to talk to Myrdinn. He sees I have the ring in my inventory (not equipped) and asks me to give him time to think about the situation. After resting another day, I went back and he gave me the meister spell and the other quest rewards. Hope this helps!
you can also use soporific arrow from magick archer to put trysha to sleep rather than wait for her to get exhausted, (two to three arrows) im sure other forms of sleep application works too im just not sure what other ones exist in the game side note the reason Eini died is likely because she was attacked by a cyclops where she stands up by the statue on the cliffs edge. my portcrystal was there and when i teleported in she was getting smacked on by one
It’s interesting how npcs die without you knowing about it. I recently went to the morgue area in Battahl and noticed the blacksmith apprentice lady that helps with the blade quest died at some point. No clue how but I brought her back with a wake stone and now she’s obsessed with my character and will follower her around like a puppy dog every time I go the the city lol. It got me curious so I went one in Vermund and apparently Sven died at some point as well? Brought him back too but it’s neat that he could die as well.
FYI. I did not get the Towering Earth from Waldhar in the first or second quest. But once I picked up both the Spellbound and The Sorcerer’s Appraisal, I thought I might have accidently sold the book. So I went back to Waldhar anyway to check and he started the dialog regarding the Towering Earth book and gave it to me because he already read it
This quest has been a total nightmare. Got into his house randomly before knowing about either of these quests, he asked for the books I happen to have 2, delivered them and then went to look up where to find the remaining ones, found this article and reloaded the save. Broke into his house first after reloaded, stole 1 book, then went on a wild goose chase to get that old man out of jail and too the library. He didn’t give me the book in his cell so I had to go get his glasses, STILL wouldn’t give me the book went back to try and get into the bald guys house again but couldn’t get him to come out. Dismissed all my companions, he finally comes out. Tells me this is a place of magic and goes back inside (I was wearing courtly attire) come back as a sorcerer in robes, he comes out, tells me I’m dressed like a bum, slams the door in my face. Come back as a sorcerer in courtly attire he FINALLY lets me in. Go BACK to the old man at the library he finally gives me the last book I need. Forge all 5 books and deliver all the forged copies to that bald headed prick, he gives me the robes and only 1 spell. So I immediately gift him like 6 bouquets of flowers and he asks me to do the escort quest. I throw him over my shoulder and port to the city, finish the quest and I get an achievement for reaching max affinity with a NPC but he doesn’t give me the second spell only a bunch of gold and a bouquet of flowers. No idea what I’m supposed to do now to get that second one, guess I’m gonna just keep resting at the inn and checking in on him to see if I get it.
Theres a cave that has both the nation death knoll and the ice TOME. There is a later quest that you need that tome IN THE CASTLE, don’t take it. I can’t remember the cave but there IS a cave that has a chest with TWO of the tomes you need… a decently strong necro asshole will spawn so have a good theif with helm splitter or archer, sorcerer works too.
You only need to give them 3 books to get the maester spells. Which is why they ask if you are going to give them more books. There are also 2 copies of death knoll. So you dont need to make copies and you can get both all the spells in one playthrough but only if you deliver 3 books to the 2 different npcs.
Everytime i try to do a quest to get master skill i can NEVER get the item because of affinity, happened with Sigurd (who would give me the mytical spearhand maister skill) and happened just now with BOTH Trysha and Eini, and i cannot prock any escort mission. I didnt do anythung to piss them off in my playthrough, i didnt even know they existed bfore i watched this article
Do you have to do Myrddin last? I’m currently trying to get the quest to proc for Tyrisha. Both her grandparents are alive, I have all the real copies of the book. Her quest just won’t proc. Anyone have any idea why? The grams left the house, I carried the grandfather out just in case (of course he just walks back) but yeah I’m lost.
erm thought i would mention it, there is a dungeon waterfall cave, on the way to Verworth. On the last floor(think it was third one) there is a chamber lit in eerie blue light, and in the center there is a chest. You can open it and it will spawn a Lich. From that chest i got 2 books: Howling Blizzard and Nation’s death knell
So, i tried this doing the girl before the guy at restpoint. Got her spells and ring, put it on and talked to Guy. Its her father and he recognized the ring. You get different dialog and need to wait a day. But got spell from him too. He knows of her power now though. We’ll see what transpires now…
What were the devs thinking for some of these quests? There are some that give zero clues on how to do something like they forgot to put in quest markers; others have NPCs that are bugged as hell; and now im locked out of rewards because my affinity is too low even though i JUST did a quest for them? Wtf
there is more than one way to get these books this guide just show the easiest i say this because i sold a few thinking id never need them. the death book and howling blizzard i got from a chest guarded by a lich* first and a 2nd copy of death book is the one you had shown. also you can get another copy of towering earth from the old black guy npc who gave you the first copy
What do you do if you accidentally used some of the spell books that are needed for this quest? At the time I had no idea and used them on a boss and now I can’t find any others. People keep saying quest related items should be able to purchase at this shop in Checkpoint Rest Town but I went to it and the guy doesn’t have any of them whatsoever. And I’m pretty sure the items don’t respawn back at the dungeon where I found them. It’s two tombs that I need that you get from killing a wight that pops out of a chest in some cave. I can’t remember which but when you do that you get them as a reward. But I don’t think there’s a way to get them again. This is so stupid because the shop literally says that quest items should pop up here if you used or sold them by accident and I’m pretty sure those tombs count as quest items. It’s not like the normal spell tombs you can find anywhere. The ones the girl wants are like super rare and it seems like there’s only one of each. Soooo what do I do here. Like I want to complete this quest.
YOU DONT NEED TO START AGAIN: I gave all 5 original books to the man, after a while you’ll have a quest to bring him somewhere, then go back to his place he’ll give you the tornado. Then, you have to steal 2 more books, one from the magistrate in the library, and one from Elsa, a Merchant in the middle of the desert (near river north of ruins) For the third book you need for the lil girl I already found it in my inventory, I guess it’s given early in the game or smt? Other whise, in the nameless village a girl will ask to swap the shield book for another one, but this dont solve the problem if you dont have a third book
Can these quests only be done if you are a casting class? Because the second I stepped into rest town, myrddin walked up and told me i was trash, he doesnt seem to exist after that for me. Hes never been home, and ive yet to see him again. For the girl, talking to her outside never triggered anything.
Sold your books? cant find all 5? Well, 3 is enough. Once you have 3, make 3 fakes and give them to her dad in 1 transaction and answer NO to the question if you are goint ot get hime more books. He will give you the spell you want. THen, go to the girl and give her the 3 real ones and again answer NO to the question if you will get her more. After that, follow the guide above in the article. THanks for the guide, btw, got all 3 spells (with only 3 books)
You can also get a second copy of Howling Blizzard and the Death knell grimoir from the cave at the beginning of the game where the Griffin crashed while you and the pawn Rook were riding on it. There is a more powerful Chimera in that cave, but you can ignore it completely. You will have to fight a lich boss after opening a chest. The Howling Blizard grimoir is right next to the chest that holds the Death Knell grimoir.
Guys do not worry if you GIVE TRYSHA FAKE BOOKS: YOu will need to Sleep / camp for 7 – 8 days. You go back to the HOUSE, and she will ask you something like ” do you think it’s still worth it to learn magic?” and you have to exhort her to a follow location. I am doing the quest Right now I will upgrade it if It’s give me the Meteores spell.
I highly suggest for the Nations Death Knell book (3:45) to approach the battleground from the east entrance so you don’t have to go past the dragon at all. You’ll also encounter an NPC just before the entrance that needs to be saved from some enemies and will then give the escort quest “Tolled to Rest”. He conveniently leads you all the way to the book where he rings the bell above it. If you’ve already looted the book he’ll notice it and wants you to find it (and people are reporting issues with this quest if the book is missing). Also as a reward he’ll give a key that opens a door nearby with more good loot so it’s best to do the escort quest and afterwards take the book.
I accidentally used these tomes before I learned of the questline so I’m screwed. I have to start a new game. 🙁 All that work. I wanted to fuckin cry. Some people said you can use the forgery system to remake them under “Special Items”, but that wasn’t true. I went to the forgery guy and the “Special Items” thing isn’t even clickable for me. It’s grayed out. Does anyone know if the books respawn? Or if I did something wrong to why I can’t access “Special Items” at the forgery guy? Is my game salvageable?
I start a new one to get the books and look what just happen this game don’t stop amazing me I just give a bunch of flawer to Ulrika in front of Lennart after I give him the latter from the quest Oxcart courier he approach to me and give me the skill (Riotous Fury) I guess has to do with both happiness for example his quest done correctly throwing the exlosive casks and thenpoison in to the nest(NESTING TROUBLES)
Dude thanks so much for this. I couldn’t make it to where she started using magic uncontrollably. I rested a bunch, then fast travelled and ran back. Went back and forth between locations. In the end it was because grandma had died. I wonder if she dies as a part of this quest. Either way this was huge help!
WARNING. THE book Nations Death Knell might need the quest fixed first, unless you get 2 copies!?!?! 5:28 That place where you find it is actually used for another quest. You can activate it by talking to a dude entering the battlefield from the east road.. I had already found the book and stashed it before i found him.. so i had to run to town and get it before continuing.. it’s a hazzle and like a 20 minute run back and forth.. I have no idea what happens if you copy the book and put the fake one in there! But that is something i will try on my next playthrough.. So either, finish his quest first and steal the book after… Or take the book to town and fix two copies.
If you are short on affinity with anyone, after doing their quest, just gift them an item of their liking. You can check what people like in the NPC log listing. I gave Lanart a gem/ore, some time after doing the mission, and he gave me the skill. Same thing with Elf King dude, gave him a Dragon Scale when i came back to him long after doing the missions, still worked. I assume the same works for all affinity related items.
I suggest completing the quest “Tolled to rest” first. Just a bit further up from where the drake and cyclops is fighting, you will find a guy who wants to be escorted to the exact place the Nation’s Death Knell is, he will need the book to ring the bell, once you complete his quest you can pick the book up, and he’ll give you a key for a near by treasure room.
My quest is bugged sucks cuz I did both of these quest lines with Myrrdin and Trisha and didn’t get any of the three scrolls. Tried giving them gifts and even tried to have the escort quests for the grandma and didn’t get anything. Oh well guess I’ll wait for new game plus. Hopefully shit gets patched.
You need to give 3 books to each of them to finish the quests. Myrddin will tell you, you passed the test, when he does you dont need to give more books, and there are 2 copies of “nations death knell” so you can give 3 original books to each of them. PS the lich you kill when you loot the chest dropped howling blizzard for me, so they can be drops aswell.
I did the quests, personally It should have been one long quest. One book was already in Myrddins house. Yet he was asking for it because? There are two copies of two of the books sugesting they were meant to be split into 3 each with one extra being traded for one of the Blizard books. Trisha should have been part of acquiring the Light book by getting Myrddin to reconsile with “the plot line” and being there to help the grand parents to teach her control in the end.. The tome the grand parents had could have been sold to a guy in Melve as part of that plot. With four books given to Myrddin, who now has a full set. It would make sense to have the remaining two be a red herring for her loosing control. With her tome being given as her new concept mentioned but lacks the means to test it. Overall the quest feels incomplete with Myrddin now ocasionally moping about how we undid everything he did to protect Trisha. Like there is missing step for closure to the whole thing.
Myrrdon attacked me when I picked that book up off his desk and I accidentally killed him, so I rezzed him and then he immediately continued attacking me. lol. I ran away, waited at an inn for a few days and he forgot all about the incident and just asked me if I had his books he asked for. So him attacking you definitely does not fail the quest. Just go in, grab it, run away, wait a few days and you’re golden.
Yeah getting screwed out of the one ultimate from the pissy sorcerer when you take books from his house when the game hasnt punished you yet for looting. Then not getting the mage ult for ZERO reason other than the game being a jank pos is really killing the vibe for me. 40 hours in and im about to just drop it after this jank ass bull shit.
FYI either of these guys only need 3 books to complete the quest. So dont worry about fulminous shield if you already handed it in for howling storm. Just forge the rest that you have and do it like in the article. And as mentioned in the comments if they dont give you the scroll after the quest, give them flowers or wear the ring that raises affinity.
Ive been waiting for the quest to trigger after giving her the books. Ran out of ferry stones and camps. Im tired of running back and forth. This game needs to patch this or something. All this just to get a spell that y had in the first game is so annoying. Spending hrs of real time waiting for this stupid quest to trgger is ridiculous
If you dont get the tome from eini the grand Mother, you can have a quest if you hang in there for a while, but take care, if you run during the quest to get her to melve and you abandon her a long the way and she take damage, she wont give you the tome afterwards. Take your time, stay close to her, dont let her be hit multiple times.. It happens to me and i had to let go of the tome for my mage 😭 she didnt due btw. I think she thought i didnt care about her and it was true, i was in the rush to finish the quest as fast as possible.. But i got the flower and the 120 rc as a rewards nonetheless ahah
For anybody who delivers the 5 grimoires to Trysha and cant seem to trigger the next event with the scream and battle where you have to tackle her. I remembered that earlier on you have to wait until her grandparents are out during the day to speak with her alone. So I decided to rest at camp until night when they would be back to trigger the next sequence. I thought at first one of them were dead and it wouldnt proceed but just waiting until night helped the quest progress
I followed this whole guide to the point of saving trysha, took me over an hour, then trysha died because my pawns werent listening to me when i told them to wait at the camp and i kept trying to lead them back, so i tried to reload from last inn rest thinking camps counted as an inn rest, and i hadnt used an inn in 2 hours. So ill never be completing these quests 😂
First the Mage-Quest = Mage-Ulti and Sorc-Meteor, and THEN…the other quest !!!…Ihr braucht 5 Originale, und 6 Fälschungen, die für das Schild 2X Fälschung (um Blizzard zu bekommen). Zuerst die Magier-Quest machen, mit den Originalen. Immer mal 2 Tage warten, campen, egal was.
Hello mate, love your guides and this smazing game. Like an imbecile i found the book up psst the dragon fighting the giant ogre and got the book from the guy in the cell but sold them!! Im trekking around to merchants seeing if i can buy them back but have yet to have joy… Im goung to do new game + at some point so if i get some of these books will they carry over to new game + ? I figure i can do half the work needed. Cheers and keep up the great work! ✌️
i feel like an idiot not finding these sooner…..but also u got to have money to do so. Also time consuming stuff. I’m 102 hours in right now on my main save. Haven’t been to Post game yet or NG+ lol….I’ve done so much. I even did Riddles. This game is huge…..I’m actuall;y at END GAME so…..I can’t do the first one I dont think….Melve doesnt exist anymore where I am. So, smh….RIP that book I was suppose to buy
Hmm I changed to mage, he says the same thing…..”Begone, i have no hospitality toward one bereft of Decorum” Every single time. Doesn;’t matter what Vocation I am. Pretty sure I’m too late in the game to do this….either that or its a glitch….EDIT 2–Or its because I havent been using the vocations. I’m only level 2 rank vocation on mage, I never even used Sorcerer.
Do you duplicate one of the books twice? I don’t understand how you can give two npcs 5 books each when you need one of the books to swap for the blizzard spell. Wouldn’t that leave you one book short to give to either the girl or the mage dude? I haven’t completed it yet so I want to make sure I get it right
Alternatively, if you messed up like I did and didn’t watch your guide all the way and gave him all five at once. he doesn’t give you the tomb, but if you wait a day go back to his house he’ll do a romance request. Just asking you to take him to vernworth teleport there go to the vocation guild. You won’t receive the tomb after completing it there though. So now you have to teleport back to checkpoint rest town, and upon doing so run up to his house he will give it to you..
So I made fakes of all the books and gave all the fakes to him. I got the gold and the outfit but no matter how many times I talk to him he doesn’t give me the scroll for the spell. I even waited a day and went back and all he did is have me escort him to the capital where he kept using maelstrom on the enemy’s. Does my vocation need to be maxed or something? Cause my sorcerer is only 1 away from max.
Restoration is one of my favorite schools of magic, followed by Alteration and Illusion. Bane of the Undead rulez during the quest “Proving Honor”. When you are attacked constantly by Draugr Deathlords after you retrieve the axe fragment, all you need to do is cast Bane of Undead, summon 2 Dremora Lords and let them + Farkas do the job while you cast Vampire Bane. And there is more. Wards completely negate dragon breath, you can easily block a breath of Ancient or Legendary dragons with Lesser Ward. Wards can also negates Shouts, like Draugr Death Overlord’s Unrelenting force, a Revered Dragon’s Drain vitality etc!! These infos were tested on Legendary difficulty!! And they say Restoration is not a valid school of magic. Pitiful.
Ran into that glitch where she doesn’t sell it to you. You do not have to talk to the augur again, just go through a door (loading screen) and go right back in. My last save before speaking to her was right after leaving the middle to find Collette after the quest, so I just went through a door or two before I found her again and she had the spell this time.
The restoration spells are underrated and needs more love. My favorite thing is being the white mage in MMORPG games. I mean without it you can’t become a paladin class character. I wish Skyrim have more damaging spells for restoration like holy, smite, lighting spear, wrath of the gods and ECT. Can’t forget avoid death, necromage, dual casting and ward absorb.
ive always like magic in the elder scroll but the sad thing is that even though the restoration spells are cool it felt like the only things worth scaling into were the enhanced mana regen in the skill tree so the other magics were slightly more spammable and the healz, kinda wish the master restoration spells had a bit more versatility aside from safety from the undead 🙁
Magic + Magic is still magic. Yes, and two+three is four because they are both equal. This spell, (points to shining red spell in my right hand) will make you crazy and attack everything, and this spell (Points to greenish blue spell) will calm you. Are they equal? If I combine a ward spell with a restoration spell I am invincible. Is that just “Magic+magic”? As you can tell I have no life and I care significantly about a line from a make believe cat.
Yeah, just like with Morrowind and Oblivion. People will play until the next one comes out. The modding scene for the PC version carries it a long time. Combined with the expansions, there’s no reason to stop playing until the sixth comes out or maybe until Elder Scrolls Online. Which ever comes first.
think illusion is most fun and usefull combined i play as an vampire assasin got invisibility on lvl 20 and filled up all my sneaking and illusion perks that i needed then i went into smithing and enchanting and picked up alchemy later on but i need some point in one handed my bow skill is doing pretty good though i have 1 kill shotd on adapt gameplay also because of smithing and the ancient assasin armor that i use all my armor and weapens are on epic for now been building up a house to advance more into this making enchanting alchemy and smithing gear + potion makes you a bit OP but hey the armor cap is 576 anyway so going past that is no use and if you can make swords that do 250 damage you pretty fuckin fine i think
Are there any other ways to get the Garden Circle spell to appear? The auger won’t talk to me anymore and I dont have any save that old thanks to the me starting to run out of space lol ( screw it, I’m just going to bite the bullet and go all the way back to my local 33 save. I need the spell to do something cool and I’ve been playing this game for thousands of and I’ve play the game for thousands of hours anyways so what’s the extra time mean in the long run anyways 🤷♂️)
restoration on legendary is of EXTREME importance (I am doing a run with an imperial so I can heal myself and beat the shit out of my opponents!) it’s oddly powerful and questionably the best (you can use either type of armor and smithing is unnecessary) you may want to choose some perks in armor (but I found this pointless!) so what I did is if I just felt like perusal my companion take the brunt I just heal him/her for the fight, I did this challenge from the start of the game and all you need is the heal spell in off hand and your choice of weapon in the right (I chose hardest hitting but slowest to hit in other words a mace)
I’ve never even hit level 40 restoration, it just seems to tedious to level…….THATS WHY I STARTED A RESTORATION, ILLUSION, AND ALTERATION PLAYTHROUGH! No weapons of any kind, Bound, Two hand, ECT., No destruction or conjuration spells EVER, (unless it’s for those spider webs or ABSOLUTELY HAVE TO for a quest, Woodcutter axe will do the trick) Heavy Armoured Breton Resto-Telekinetic mage
Gah! I got the glitch where guardian circle didn’t show up at first. I wouldn’t have minded so much if this weren’t my last school of magic to master(the more spells and items available, the more laggy your game is) I’m not kidding when I am writing this whole comment during a loading screen for the hall of attainment! P.S. I also got the glitch where you can’t do the master illusion spell until 100 P.P.S. GAH!!
I’ve always stayed clear of the turn undead and fear spells because being level based I never know if the enemy I’m targeting will be affected or not and with the way everything scales with the player chances are unless I’m specializing in using those spells they won’t work the majority of the time, meaning I just waste time and mana.
If your reason is to help people then why are these articles a year late? O_o Although, Skyrim is such a great game that people will be playing the game years and years to come, so this might come handy toward a few in the future… Then again, I didn’t play FO3 as soon as it came out so when I did start playing I used your Perfect character guide and that shit was helpful 🙂 But now I use slightly more advanced plans for my character in fallout that gives me 10 to all stats + perfect points.
I agree, unlock or feather, the only unlock spell I know in Skyrim is a blessing of a standing stone, can’t remember which one. With the limited number of perks in the game it feels like a waste getting all perks for the lock picking skill tree. I found after my first play through that I would end up making a character who was a jack of all skills, but a master of none, playing as either a mage, warrior or thief limits what you can do and the benefits of being multiskilled. Thanks for the guides
For those of you who can’t wait to get a skill of 90 through use of resto spells out in the field, and have a mammoth load of septims in your coin purse, the priestess of kynareth in whiterun has master training offered to you after you finish the gildergreen quest. Plus, she charges less than colette because of the favor that you did for her. “I have a lot of respect for the restoration school; Skyrim could use more healers.” -Guard
Honestly, I think that the master Restoration spells aren’t really worth it. It’s better to just use the expert spells instead of wasting time and most likely perks on useless spells to make undead flee. It might be worth it only if you’re roleplaying, but besides that, just stick with the expert spells.
