Magic Erasers are a versatile house cleaning tool that can effectively remove various stains, including soap scum, mineral buildup, hard water stains, and other types of bathroom stains. They can also be used to clean bathroom grout, coffee stains from mugs, and even stubborn coffee stains from mugs. The sponge’s micro-abrasion properties make it better than regular dish sponges and soap for deep stains.
Magic Erasers are made of melamine foam, which has been used for decades as an insulation and soundproofing material. They have two sides: regular melamine foam and textured, making them ideal for heavy-duty scrubbing. Between the two layers is Dawn dish soap, which soaks through when the melamine is wet.
For tough stains, Magic Erasers can be used with another cleaning solution like vinegar or dish soap. Bar Keepers Friend, melamine foam (Magic Erasers), and Murphy’s Oil Soap are recommended for kitchen surfaces. Magic erasers can be used dry, but adding water to the sponge will help it absorb dirt more easily. If soap scum is difficult to remove, Magic Eraser Bath can be used.
Magic erasers can be rinsed in the kitchen after each use and stored on a soap dish with ridges to dry. They only need water to effectively clean most stains, and they can also remove soap scum from shower doors. The preferred method is using the magic eraser with water, but if it doesn’t remove the mark or dirt, a second application is recommended.
