Has Magic Kingdom Filled Up To Capacity Today?

At approximately 1PM today, the Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World Resort reached its park capacity limits, preventing park hops for guests. This means that guests will not be able to park hop to Magic Kingdom. The park has been fully booked for the maximum number of people allowed in the park at one time, with all four Disney World theme parks – Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Disney’s Animal Kingdom, and Disney’s Hollywood Studios – reaching capacity on April 3 and 4, 2023.

Guests have received push notifications that park hopping is no longer an option due to Magic Kingdom’s capacity. The park can allegedly hold more than 100,000 guests, but through the park’s closures, all four Disney World theme parks have reached some level of closure in the past. To avoid missing out on the fireworks, guests with the Park Hopper option are encouraged to visit EPCOT, Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

Magic Kingdom Park has reached capacity for several days over the upcoming Easter period, and Disney is encouraging guests with the Park Hopper option to visit EPCOT instead. The parks can, on rare occasions, stop accepting more guests after having reached their capacity limit as a security measure.

Magic Kingdom Park, which opened on October 1, 1971, is owned and operated by Walt Disney World Resort in Bay Lake, Florida. The virtual queue for Journey of Water, Inspired by Moana, reached capacity on opening day at EPCOT on October 1, 2021.

  • I remember Disney World from back from the early ’70s. I was station in Jacksonville and always had a unlimited rides (no tickets) getting a Military Day Pass. I think it was 20 bucks for the day. I even took 2 guys from the Royal Navy and had a great time. We stayed at the Contemporary Hotel. After our military discount for the 3 of us we got a great hotel for I think it was about 50 bucks a night. I can’t remember exactly how much we paid for sure. If there are anybody out there that visited using military active duty discount. it would be cool to be remember the prices from 1974, i would love to hear from YOU!!!

  • I highly recommend you start with a cheap pair of sunglasses. Pretend they are expensive- keep them in a case and don’t lose them. If in a month or two you still have them and they are not scratched then you deserve a more expensive pair. I can’t/ won’t spend the time energy in carrying them in a nice case or not losing them so only cheap ones for me. Cheap are better than the no sunglasses you have been doing.

  • Don’t buy sunglasses in a park. They have over increased prices! Polarized sunglasses the eliminate glare from sunlight from penetrating your eyes. Ultraviolet protection it is critical to ensure you healthy eye of developing major visual problems. You can see your phone screen if you turn your phone at a 90° angle with polarized sunglasses. They should have trams bringing people from parking! Come on Bob step up to the plate! They need to stop making excuses ! Disney’s raking in the money. Thank you Kyle!

  • Buy sunglasses that have built-in nose rest; those attached ones tend to bend or break. Also, are you planning on replacing the sunglasses if you lose them? After, I lost my glasses on Revenge of the Mummy at Universal, not to willing to spend a lot on something that can be easily misplaced, stolen or lost at any of the amusement parks.

  • I think 2 looks the best; that said, I’m cheap so I’ve always been perfectly happy with Target sunglasses… If my $15 sunglasses get smashed in my bag, dropped and scratched, left at a restaurant, or forgotten somewhere, I’m not going to be too upset. I can buy a LOT of Target sunglasses which work perfectly fine for me in Las Vegas for $200

  • I guess I knew the crowds would return but I’m so spoiled 😂 Nice to see the stage getting back – maybe shows will return soon? I’m glad I’m not the only 1 to forget to hit confirm. I could be wrong but I think polarization makes seeing the screen harder but so important for the eyes. Both sunglasses look good but personally I was never into aviators, so I would go with the other ones (I forgot the number already 😂🤦). Thanks for the daily dose!!

  • So many great moments in this vlog! Super cute kids! And yelling DAD with another family was priceless and LOUD!! Only a little while longer and your DAD will actually be there to wave back! Looking forward to your full family vlogs! Sunglasses = 1 I bought similar ones for my son at a Ray Bans store in Myrtle Beach. Definitely not inexpensive but he wears them and takes care of them! In older vlogs you wear mirror sunglasses which may be distracting on the vlogs that we can see your camera – I like these better 🙂 Thanks for the magical pick me up! … Wendy Lady

  • If you get them go with 2!! I got a pair recently on Amazon that are polarized and really good quality for only $14!! You can find ray band knock offs there to try them out before you drop a ton of $$ on something you may end up not wearing! If you find yourself wearing them all the time, invest! If not, then you have a good pair when you need them

  • The photo of Mickey that’s in the Vault Disney store is of the animitronic that was part of the Mickey Mouse Revue. It was the original show that was in the theater that now houses Mickey’s Philharmagic. So that’s why Mickey looks odd, it was an animatronic. The whole show was amazing…it was eventually removed and shipped over to Tokyo Disneyland I believe and they moved Magic Journeys from EPCOT to the Magic Kingdom so Captain EO could premier at EPCOT Center. Disney announced that the Frontier Shootin’ Arcade not showing hours was a website glitch. It’s not going anywhere.

  • Definitely worth the investment! Nothing more important than your vision! Being outside in the sun as much as you are is very damaging to your eyes. I purchased expensive sunglasses over 30 years ago and got them at cost and paid $150. And I still have them! The first pair are very traditional and I like them, can’t go wrong with either pair! Just whatever feels the most comfortable……😎

  • Don’t buy yet. Go to Walmart or somewhere and get a cheap pair to see if you like wearing them and if you can keep up with them. Don’t plop out $200 and decide you won’t wear them. Also, decide if you want polarized or not. New car and planes dashboards are hard to see if you wear polarized sun glasses.

  • I’m thinking of visiting during the first 2 weeks of February how are the crowds usually at that time? This will be my first real visit to the park as Ive only been there when I was 4 years old in 86 so I’m trying to make sure I get to really enjoy it as I don’t know if I’ll ever make it back again. I did visit the other international parks several times but America always felt intimidating to me.

  • I enjoy the content of your articles, but seriously dude, your grammar is horrible. Just watch a article (this one in particular) and see how many times you inappropriately use the word “on” like when you say, “this just re-opened on up”. That’s not a thing. Sadly you’re not alone, I notice the same poor grammar from a lot of people your age – doesn’t say much for our education system. 🙁

  • WOAH, a Mike solo article! Love it. I’m ready for some math, bring on the math 🧮 Perception IS people’s reality. Hmmmm I wouldn’t have expected Magic Kingdom’s max capacity to be almost double AK and HS, it really feels like MK has less space but my perception has probably been shaped by the crowds. WOAH: this could be boosting Epcot’s numbers?? I’m taking that as a silver lining for my favourite park. This was great! Well done sir. Well done.
