The Ancient Magicks are a powerful set of spells that were commonly used in the Second Age, particularly by the followers of Zaros, who ruled a large empire. These spells were useful during wars and were rune-intensive, requiring expensive runes like death and blood. To access the Ancient Magicks spellbook, players must complete the Desert Treasure quest, which involves speaking to an Archaeologist at the Bedabin Camp.
The Ancient Magicks spells are shown in the player’s ability book instead of their normal spells and are considered more expensive per cast. To switch to the Ancient Magicks spellbook, players must enter the Jaldraocht Pyramid in the desert south of Al Kharid and west of Pollnivneach from the rear and pray at the altar. This quest becomes available after completing the Desert Treasure quest.
