How To Become A Vampire And Learn Dawnguard Spells?

This video tutorial demonstrates how to obtain three unique Dawnguard faction Spell tomes, typically only obtainable by siding with the Dawnguards. Vampires receive heavy boosts to Illusion, but mediocre boosts to other magic schools. To obtain the Dawnguard Spells, players must complete the “Rising at Dawn” quest, which cures vampirism. The Dawnguard add-on allows players with vampirism to turn into powerful Vampire Lords, a large humanoid creature with sharp claws and bat-like wings.

To obtain Dawnguard Spells, players must join the Volkihar by using a powerful calm spell on the merchant before completing the quest. Destroying the Dawnguard is available after killing Harkon in Kindred Judgement. Sorine Jurard and Florentius appear at some points in the video tutorial.

The Elder Scrolls V: Dawnguard features a plethora of new Dragon Shouts, blessings, and spells, along with full perk trees for Lycanthropy and the Vampire Lord. Players can learn how to use blood magic and the standard physical abilities. The video also lists all the new magic (blessings, spells, and dragon shouts) made available to the player by the Dawnguard add-on.

In summary, this video tutorial provides a comprehensive guide on how to obtain the Dawnguard Spell tomes, including Sun spells, Dragon Shouts, blessings, and spells.

Can you help the Dawnguard as a vampire?

The Dawnguard form offers better physical rewards, but regular use of the powerful Vampire Lord form requires completion of the main questline. However, playing as a Dawnguard member does not prevent you from becoming a Vampire Lord. After the main questline and exhaustion of Fort Dawnguard, you can ask Serana to turn you into a Vampire Lord. Choosing to become a vampire or hunt them grants different quests, but the majority of the main questline remains the same, including the beginning, end, and your new vampire companion, Serana.

Can you marry Serana?

Serana, a vampire companion, can be a partner for players in the Dawnguard DLC. However, it is not possible to marry vampires in vanilla Skyrim without the help of mods. To marry Serana, players must have the Dawnbreaker DLC installed or the Special or Anniversary Edition of Skyrim. To install the Marriable Serana mod, download the files from the Nexus Mods website, extract them to the game folder, and then proceed to marry her.

To marry Serana, players must complete the Bonds of Matrimony quest, which involves talking to Maramal at the Temple of Mara in Riften. The Amulet of Mara, which can be obtained after completing the Book of Love quest, can be obtained from Maramal for 200 gold or found as random loot. After receiving the amulet, players must complete the Kindred Judgment Quest and inform Serana’s mother Valerica that it’s safe to return.

How will the Dawnguard react if I become a vampire?

The Dawnguard is regarded as the “benevolent” option for vampires; however, Isran is disinclined to collaborate with them if they are vampires themselves. He will direct them to pursue a cure and will not collaborate with them until they have done so.

Can I still become a Vampire Lord if I side with the Dawnguard?

It is possible to obtain the vampire lord transformation on both sides. Following the defeat of vampires with the Dawnguard, Serena is capable of biting if she has not undergone a cure. It is only through the use of the Dawnguard that one may procure crossbows and magic bolts.

How to get stendarr’s aura as a vampire?

The spell Florentius Baenius is typically unavailable when joining vampires due to Florentius’ hostile nature. However, using a Pacify spell or item can calm Florentius down and sell him the spell. This spell can also be used as a source of light in dark areas, an alternative to the Light spells in the Alteration school. It offers healing, fast healing, close wounds, and grand healing. The spell can also turn lesser, undead, or greater undead.

How to get Dawnguard spells as a vampire?

Join Castle Volkihar after completing the main questline and visit Fort Dawnguard. Cast the master level Calm spell (Harmony?) to pacify everyone in the castle. Talk to the woman working the forge and buy Dawnguard spells from her as long as the spell is in effect. Sorine Jurard has one spell, while Florentius Baenius has the other two. The spells can be bought from the woman working the forge.

Can you get Serana If you choose Dawnguard?

The Daughter of Coldharbour is a vampire with a purity of blood, belonging to the vampiric species. Upon completion of the Dawnguard questline, the character in question is granted permanent follower status. It has been demonstrated that the Daughter of Coldharbour can be cured by playing the Dawnguard and treating her with kindness. Furthermore, it has been observed that she has the capacity to transform individuals into Vampire Lords.

How do you become Dracula in Skyrim?

In Skyrim, becoming a vampire is the most common way to do so. To do so, the Dragonborn must contract Sanguinare Vampiris, a disease that transforms them into bloodsucking creatures of the night. To do so, they must find and engage in combat with a vampire, who may inflict the infection via the Vampiric Drain spell or their weapon. Both methods have a 10 chance of passing the disease with every hit.

Vampires can be found throughout Skyrim, particularly in crypts and caves. The easiest way to find them is by following the side quest “Laid to Rest”, which leads to the lair of Movarth, also known as “Movarth’s Lair”. The lair is populated by many low-level vampires, and the player must wait to contract the disease.

Another common vampire hangout is Broken Fang Cave, located west of Whiterun. This cave is filled with vampires and skeletons, offering an early start on their vampiric identity.

How do I start the Dawnguard vampire quest?

In order to embark upon the Dawnguard quest, players must first expand their capabilities and attain the requisite level 10 status. Should one become aware of the activities of the Dawnguard, it is recommended that the individual proceed to Riften and engage in conversation with the local guard. A marker will be placed on your map indicating the location of Fort Dawnguard, situated in the southeastern region of Riften. Should one choose to join the Dawnguard, it is possible to become a vampire lord at a later point in time.

How to be a pure blood vampire?

Purebloods are created through a union between two vampires, and cannot be created artificially. They are more likely to be born to convert parents, but other combinations are possible. Purebloods have a pre-evolutionary period from birth until evolution, during which they lack access to their powers and are considered either pre-evolutional or unevolved. Despite appearing human, they can accept a conversion due to their physical resemblance to humans.

Pre-evolutional Purebloods have certain attributes that may be found in humans, such as 20/20 eyesight, acute hearing, and an irregularly slow heartbeat. The only physical evidence of being a pre-evolutional Pureblood is the Mark of Purity on their right wrist, which is unseeable by the human eye.

Can I join the Dawnguard if I cure vampirism?

The level of your Vampire status in the Volkihar questline depends on your current stage. If you’re near the end of the quest, being a Vampire isn’t necessary, and you can finish the Dawnguard questline as a Werewolf. However, if you’re in the early stages, Harkon will ask you to return to being a Vampire Lord, which will remove your Lycanthropy. Without this, you can’t talk to Harkon or progress through the questline.

  • Vampirism is not great in Skyrim, in fact, it’s a hindrance to getting things done. It could be made a lot better, like feeding on the same victim multiple times kills them, or the ability to turn a victim into a vampire, or creating a dead thrall, or the ability to fly or turn into a bat. Make it a more rich experience.

  • @EverydayMiners Nope, but I can tell you 😉 You start the Companions questline. Thats the main way. There is also a way with a ring and the quests with Hercine ( i think thats the name) YOu have to choose to let the werewolf that killed the kid go. I think you can then use the ring to transform into a werewolf. Id just stick with doing the companions questline since its the for sure way.

  • How can you so completely miss the point? A “Guide” on being a vampire that doesn’t mention necromage perk? It makes all your spells and abilities more powerfull when they target undead. Since vampires are undead it improves a lot of your spells (healing) and active effects. It makes your potions more potent (higher enchanting and smithing) and much more. To negate the negative effects of sunlight you need a circlet or robe offering a lot of magicka regeneration. Combine this with the “Respite” restoration perk that makes your healing spells also heal stamina and you are good to go. Not to mention that vampires seduction isn’t useless. If you succesfully cast it on a person they allow you to feed on them. So you don’t have to wait for them to sleep.

  • well i always called it a glitch or bug because its not consistent. but I have done numerous times. After beast moding and then moving on in human form i would get unlimited stamina. Its not something I could figure out but it happened many times. I never found any info on it but it happened. Its even in a article i have up. Soooooooo anyway… its my website so Im right and youre wrong 😀 have a good night

  • I never cease to die in this game. I don’t think I will ever play this game again. It is the most disappointing game ever. I would have rather have continually died in Super Mario. This game sucks and the Vampire addition should get developers fired. I love Lidia and the graphics and the music. Sorry I will never finish this game, sorry I am crying now. Boo hoo. LOL. just kidding. So I just WADS.

  • Im level 79 and do big things with my werewolf. Like I said, they can get hit harder not having armor, but they still throw giants and trolls on their ass and if youre smart about it a werewolf can whoop a dragons ass. Soooooo. Maybe you just dont actually know what youre talking about? or just biased to vamps? Vamps currently are TERRIBLE!!! waiting for the expansion tonight to check out the new trees.

  • @stephanieRules900 Yes you lose both sets of powers becoming the other… but.. as far as I know. You can only automatically lose vampire powers (&disease) by getting the werewolf disease. I don’t think you can become a vampire at all until you cure the disease through the companions questline. Personally I preferred werewolf. If you’re at all a melee player you don’t want to be a vampire. If you’re a mage it can be useful.

  • dude im not texting you to help you out with skyrim 😛 if you dont have the dawnguard dlc you have to sneak into a house at night like in the article. after 1am. if you have dawnguard all you have to do is use your vampire seduction spell on anyone at anytime and then feed on them once they are seduced.

  • @thomas48770 Your son is on the internet and playing games online. My website is predominantly Call of Duty and if he plays that you can guarantee that he has and will hear a lot worse. While Ill take your suggested in mind in the future… Im sure my website is the least of your worries regarding your son learning too much too fast 😉

  • @tookthelead26 I do no think you can. I know after I cured vampirism I fought a lot of vampires and never contracted it again. BUT, I was and still am a werewolf. Im not sure if that makes it so you cant turn back into a vamp. So I want to say no, but IM actually not fully positive. I just know that after I cured it, I didnt turn back into one after fighting more vampires.

  • Thanks a lot for this article it helped me a lot but I’m confused here. I haven’t been in “touch” with vampires in my game lately therefore I still got the disease, it didn’t even warn me so as soon as I saw I had it, I rushed to a temple but I couldn’t be cured. Then I thought “oh ok maybe I’ll be a vampire that’s no problem” but I forgot about the whole Non-regeneration thing in the daylight so I went to Aela the huntress and turned in a werewolf (again) but nothing! I’m both a vampire and a werewolf! I’ve never seen that and I have no idea what to do, I don’t mind being a werewolf as there’s nothing that keeps me from living my little Skyrim life 24/7 (in game time) but being a vampire is fucking pain in the ass! Please if someone has answers give them to me I’m desperate (and I’m playing on PS4)

  • I am both a vampire lord and a werewolf hybrid so basically in my magic powers I am clearly showing vampire lord form and beast form so nobody attacks me on sight nor even notices me blood 🩸 thirsty in my humanoid form but there is also a very slight chance that a few NPC’s will not attack me or even recognise me as a vampire lord for some odd reason. I am a Nord so frost damage naturally has no impact on me whatsoever and I never hardly drain any health from those attacks plus the sun ☀️ does not effect me as much as a vampire should be effected by it but obviously fire 🔥 damage would still have the same normal impact on me. I also have fire breath spells that would deal 25% more damage to enemies!

  • Man! I want to thank you so much! This article could have at least 500,000+ more viewers! I have no idea why it doesnt, I know its kinda sad to admit, but I usually judge a article by its views, but I thought I’d give this a try, now I know what everyone keeps attacking him, it’s because he went past his 4 day mark, (more like 15 day mark for me) I’ve been looking for a loooong time!

  • what are the chances that the vampires (and similarly werewolves) will get more powers and factions to join in future dlc i no the werewolves get the companions but the vampires really dont have a faction to join unless you count the dark brotherhood but they accept anyone also the thieves guild wont care if you are a vampire either but none of them are vampires concerning the companions all of them except Aela are reluctant to be werewolves and after the others are cured shes the only one left

  • Wtf is a vampire lord and a dlc? and for some reason i can’t feed on anyone i went to the shrines that didnt work for my cure but i think i the last stage vampire everytime i go to solitude that annoying snake dude jaree attacks me and then he makes the others attack me. I captured a soul in the black soul jem but for some reason i cant get the quest for falion i go to the inns and they always talking random stuff but nothing about falion. Please help.

  • damn! so you have to feed to keep it under control. i thought i was doomed to dwell in the shadows and caves far away from civillization, cursed for the rest of my immortal life! the game did not give me usefull information at all, i had to search the web or i would never see my friends again without them trying to murder me.

  • Ok heres my problem: Im lvl 77 werewolf that caught vampirism…now when i tried to cure it…i just couldnt..when i go in the morthal inn i cant ask her for rumors(not in talking options) and other innkeepers wont let me do the quest so i tried to at least feed on someone..and i found out i cant even feed on sleeping people..and my weaknes to fire wont get past 50% even after 10 days of not feeding..plz help

  • I have several questions: Can you get vampirism from that vampire guy you’re supposed to assassinate in the Dark Brotherhood questline? Can’t you just pray at a shrine or drink a cure all disease potion to get rid of vampirism? Is there some kind of face mask you can wear that will make it to where people will not attack you on sight if you’re a level four vampire? Can you give me a list of people that will not attack you as a level four vampire? If any?

  • Hmm now that you mention it, I did complete the entire Dawnguard quest in one go..But I’m pretty sure I had to stop at my house(s) and drop off a few things but nobody attacked me..which is pretty weird it was almost always at night when I went to drop off things. But a couple times i did feed so that could be how i wasnt attacked. I guess I did all that without knowing it xD haha

  • So..I’m confused about this stage 4 thing…I’m pretty sure I’ve reached it after playing for over 5 days (in-game) not literally lmao. Nobody attacked me..but then again I was pretty well thought of by my fellow skyrim-ian citizens. Could that be a possible reason why I wasn’t attacked? Because I helped alot of peeps did a lot of side, misc., quest, and completed the main quest.

  • I need help cause I cured myself but then that vampire eyesight that makes you see better at night stayed with me and it super bright no matter if I have the brightness down or not and when I crouch I have that black smoke coming out just like the shadow effect from vampire where he dissapears for a short time and I’m also a werewolf as well I need help fixing the problem!!!!!!

  • In dawnguard they incredibly buff vampires, only draw back is its 50% resistance to frost at stage 4, stage 1 is 20% resistance to frost. As well as 20% weaker to fire. It goes up to 50% weaker to fire. Spells/ abilities are same. No one will attack you at stage 4, only if you transform into a vampire lord. And sun damage simply reduces yur stats instead of preventing regeneration(-15 points to all stats per stage) Therefore better, but still a drawback. Also u progress every 48 hours I believe

  • @xXxDeej its np also apon researching with max enchanting and the dark elf race you can basicly get rid of every downside to being a vampire exscept the towns folk trying to kill you on the 4th day darkelfs have perment 505 fire resist witch would come in handy if you plan to be vampire you wont take the full weakness of fire damage and also if you wanted to be a day vampire and still have your bars regenorate in daylight get enchanting max can get rid of that if you want to be a day vampire

  • @xXxDeej srry to tell you this but you can become a vampire again and cure it again but not if your allready a werewolf they made it so you cant be both without cheats being a werewolf means you have 100% resitents to dieses srry spelled it wrong dont mean to be rude but your wrong about that cureing vampire quest is a infinite quest they did that on purpose but werewolf only has 1 chance for a cure in the questline and thats the only dieses you cant reobtain btw good article subed 🙂

  • Hey man…You know why I cant wait?…Its says to me that I cant wait in this location…Probably because im a vampire? But thats impossible because I saw you can..o.O and one more thing.I was waiting for Falion, but he didnt come.I introduced the code to bring Falion to me,but when I talk to him,he didnt show the text of the quest. Can you help me with? Thx.

  • Im a vamprie and my health and stamina still regenertate (excuse my spelling plz) If you activate the Lady Stone which makes your health and stamina gente faster. your stuff still come back. so i also have a ring for bringing back maicka. So yeah. your stuff can still come back in day light!! your welcome lol

  • so far as i have researched, werewolf buffs are more power, more health, and howling for a pack of werewolves plus a few bonuses that are unknown at the moment Vampires are more magic powers like summoning gargoyle, a shroud of bats, the new vampire lord is more of a battlemage instead of a sneaky type

  • @xXxDeej yea so, how the hell do you ‘become’ a vampire? cuz i think since im a werewolf right now i dont get it, but im thinking of becoming a vampire, especially how i have the ring of hircine so i think i can use it to turn into a werewolf even without the werewolf blood. but please tell me, HOW DO I GET THIS STD?! lol

  • it’s like they purposely made vampires weak so they could enforce the dawngaurd dlc. like heaven forbid ppl before the dlc or don’t wanna spend more money want to be a monster of the night without the hassle of being complete shit in day. and then when you finally get a cool power (embrace shadows) everyone hates you. until you go suck blood and lose that cool power. so for the vanilla players with no dlc the only reason to even TRY to get this disease is if you are a thief assassin and really want the 25% boost in sneak and temporary night vision. the 100% resist to disease and poison is cool but since when was that ever a horrible problem? and the 75% weakness to fire day 4 SUUUUUUCKS. overall unless you are a extremely good sneaker and plan to go the whole game like that…..don’t even bother.

  • werewolf is better though because you also get 100 desease resistance and people dont attack you, and you look badass when changed and you can run for miles, you can wack a giant troll flying through the air with a swipe of your claws and you don’t have to feed, health and stamina always comes back. Just really no reason at all to be a vampire that I can see.

  • One very important thing left out about Vampire’s Seduction, while the target is under the effects you can feed on them by talking to them, reverting back to day one of vampirism. Also, check back up on the NPC if you don’t kill them afterward, they become vampires too that maintain night hours (i.e. a shopkeeper would turn from day hours to night hours). *I have the Dawnguard expansion, thus I am unsure if retail disc allows for turning NPCs into vampires

  • I actually turned into a vampire by accident because I was doing a big vampire related mission in morthal and when I was going to fight the vampire lord everyone that was supposed to come in with me said they were to scared and one of them was the mercenary benor. So after I got a black soul gem I hired him to follow me out into the wilderness, soul traped him, and killed him. Good times. Goooooood times.

  • Is there a way to keep spells while not being a vampire? I am making a high mage character and would like her to know every spell but in the end not be a vampire I don’t mind temporally becoming one to learn the spells though or would I have to use player commands or a mod of some sort. I will do it legit for everything else but if there is a way to learn the vampire spells while not being a vampire please inform me

  • This shit pissed me of I’ve played skyrim since it came out and never ran into this problem until yesterday. Since becoming a vampire I constantly die I don’t understand why Falion won’t help me he just stand their I feed 3 times and got the black soul gem filled !!FUCK!! Next time I will wait to join the companions.
