Animus Extraction Spells are provided to Wizards upon receiving their Quest to Monstrology. More Extraction Spells can be found in other locations throughout the Spiral, where they sell them for Gold. Animus dragons with small and shallow wells need to save up magic for longer periods of time to do bigger spells. To collect more animus, members can use a Triple Animus Elixir and write down any animus spell ideas they’d love to create.
To craft a House Guest, Summon Treasure Card, or Expel Treasure card, players must equip an extract animus card into their spell deck. The higher the monstrology rank, the more animus spells they can get. Monstrologists can collect Animus by hitting enemies with a spell that they have added an Extract enchantment to. Animus enchantments are spells cast by a dragon using animus magic, typically on objects, although dragons, animals, and plants may be enchanted.

Animus spells can be cast through spoken words, thoughts, writing, and Aquatic. To ensure accuracy, the spell should be as specific as possible. Currently, there are twelve Animus Extraction Spells available for purchase with Gold, each corresponding to its type of monster.
