How To Consult A Tarot Reader?

Tarot cards are a powerful tool for personal growth and insight, but it is essential to ask open-ended, focused, and empowering questions. To prepare for a reading, it is crucial to be happy within yourself, stop obsessing, and bring the focus back to you. This can be achieved by asking questions that are specific, positive, and focused on your life, love, career, and more.

To get accurate, specific, and transformative messages from your Tarot or Oracle cards, follow these guidelines:

  1. Choose open-ended questions when asking for guidance so the cards can provide more in-depth advice.
  2. Use a yes/no tarot reading for more specific questions, asking a yes or no question and drawing a single card for an answer.
  3. Always ask questions in a positive tone, as this is the best practice among readers.
  4. Keep your questions focused on yourself, looking for more insights.
  5. Be clear with your questions, as vague questions lead to vague answers.
  6. Write down your questions, as it is important not to be guided down a particular path of questioning unless it really interests you.

To ask Tarot questions effectively, start by being happy within yourself, stopping obsessing, and connecting to your intuition. Asking “how do I” and “what can you tell me about” allows you to connect to your intuition and pull from deep within.

By following these guidelines, you can create an enhanced and empowered Tarot experience by asking questions that are specific, positive, and focused on your life, love, career, and other aspects of your life.

What tarot questions to ask?

Tarot cards are a powerful tool for self-discovery and guidance. They allow readers to draw one card per question, focusing on topics such as career energy, obstacles, and calling. The cards are not judgmental and can help resolve and understand various issues. Tarot readers can access answers to various topics, such as health, TV series, and career decisions.

Tarot cards work by forming a deeper connection with the universe, allowing readers to connect with their intuition, and providing a different perspective on situations they seek guidance on. They can also be used in therapy. Each card has associated keywords and meanings, and in a reading, the reader or you will interpret the symbols and archetypes of the cards. For example, if a reader asks a question about quitting their job, drawing the Death tarot card, which represents endings and new beginnings, might encourage the reader to continue their job search. Tarot cards can be a valuable tool for self-discovery and guidance in various aspects of life.

Can I ask tarot if I should do something?

The “Should I Do It” Tarot reading is a useful tool for decision-making when you’re feeling stuck. It allows you to ask specific questions about a specific situation and receive a clear answer. This reading can be helpful in situations such as accepting a job interview, feeling guilty towards your current employer, agreeing to a date despite being involved, or deciding to launch your own t-shirt brand. However, it’s important to note that asking the Tarot should only be one step in the decision-making process, especially when you’ve been weighing pros and cons.

The answer may reveal that you wanted the opposite, and your free will remains. The reading can help you make a decision once and for all, whether it’s accepting a job interview, agreeing to a date, or launching your own t-shirt brand.

What not to ask tarot cards?

Tarot card readings can be a powerful tool for interpreting the world around us. However, it is important to avoid asking questions that you are not ready to answer, as they may reveal messages you are not yet ready to face. Some common questions to avoid include questions that have already been answered, questions about your future, questions about others, medical-type questions, the same question repeatedly, yes-or-no questions, and future-predicting questions.

To ensure a clear reading, it is essential to know the best practices for asking questions in tarot. Professional tarot readers share their favorite questions they hate answering, which can help you prepare for the best types of questions to ask in tarot readings. By following these guidelines, you can better prepare yourself for the insights and messages that come with a clear reading from tarot cards.

How to ask advice from tarot cards?

Open-ended questions in tarot cards allow for deeper answers to life’s most challenging concerns. Asking too specific questions may not leave enough room for the tarot to provide a comprehensive answer. Open-ended questions can help explore how to change unhappy situations, such as freeing oneself from financial struggles, bringing more love into life, finding career opportunities, or addressing feelings of distance from friends.

Should and “when” questions, which seek specific answers about the future, can be challenging to use tarot cards for. They take away the power to make decisions and may not provide concrete answers. Instead, tarot cards can provide wisdom and guidance, but it is the individual’s responsibility to determine their specific course of action. Avoiding these questions can help in achieving a more balanced and effective tarot reading.

Should you pull a tarot card daily?

In order to gain a comprehensive understanding of the tarot, it is essential to regularly engage with the cards. Daily Reading is the optimal method for this purpose, as it facilitates rapid and straightforward comprehension of each card’s character.

Tarot readings can be done by beginners, providing insight into current situations, honoring intuition, and forecasting potential outcomes. To begin, clean the energy of your space by burning herbs, ringing bells or chimes, taking a bath, or using crystals. A Selenite wand is a popular energy refresher that aids clarity.

Sit comfortably and close your eyes, focusing on the protective energy surrounding you. Take deep breaths, think about your question or needing guidance, and keep your mind and heart open to the answers that may come through the cards. Shuffle the deck, focusing on your desired query, and shuffle the cards in front of you. The pattern laid out is called a “spread”, and the meaning of each card in combinations builds up to the overall answer to your query.

Before beginning to shuffle, know which spread you will be working with. As answers come through, it’s important to draw additional cards for further clarity or start with a new question from a different perspective. Tarot readings can be a powerful tool for personal growth and understanding.

Can tarot tell you what to do?

The tarot is a magical tool that is not about fortune-telling but about storytelling. Its practice is entirely secular, with no psychic elements or specific guidance. Instead, the tarot’s narrative power invites questions and self-reflection, empowering individuals to make decisions about their future. The interplay between different cards can offer new perspectives, challenge old thinking, or even force individuals to acknowledge hidden aspects. While the cards are helpful in making decisions and thinking about the path ahead, they don’t always provide the answers popular culture has led us to expect.

The tarot is made up of two sections called the Arcanas, which are the Major Arcana (22 cards) and the Minor Arcana (56 cards). The cards work together to offer new perspectives, challenge old ways of thinking, and help individuals make informed decisions about their future.

Tarot cards can be used as a daily guide for meditation, self-improvement, and growth. To build a routine, read one card a day for 5-10 minutes each evening, depending on your mood. You can choose from the Major Cards or use all 78 cards depending on your topic. For specific topics, use one court, such as Coins/Pentacles for money, Wands for work or social life, Cups for love, and Swords for decisions and philosophical questionings.

Follow your intuition and connect with your deck better. 2 Cards readings are ideal for answering simple questions, such as whether to continue putting effort into a relationship or if there will be positive outcomes.

  • I rarely cleanse my cards, only if the feel a bit stuck or something feels off. This has happened maybe only a handful of times in my 20 years of reading tarot, and what I usually do on the rare occasions when they need a cleanse I just knock on them 3 times and they’re good to go 😊 I always keep the deck I’m working with in my purse, even if I’m just going grocery shopping I always have my tarot deck in my purse 😂 it’s not that I suspect I would need to pull them out while deciding between carrots or avocados, But I just don’t feel right without a deck of cards on me 🤣🤣🤣🤣 kind of like my good lock charm or security blanket of some sorts 😅

  • My favorite deck is the Tarotbot deck. It was my first deck and I got it off a Kickstarter fundraiser. I actually was never interested in tarot, but when I saw the deck online I fell in love with the artwork and just needed to buy it. Once I received it, I felt a really strong connection to it and tried out tarot reading with the little booklet for the first time. I am still learning to fully become a good reader. But now a couple of years later I am a witch and do all kinds of devination and spells. The connection I have to my deck is still by far the strongest and I have never had to cleanse it as I have to do with other decks. This deck means the world to me and led me on a very special path.

  • This article was so helpful! I especially loved the idea of doing a simple daily one card pull to tune into your intuition and get guidance for the day ahead. It’s a great way to learn tarot gradually and form your own personal connections with the cards. The past/present/future and problem/action/outcome 3-card spreads also seem very insightful without being too complex. I can see how looking at the flow of the cards almost like a storybook would reveal a clear narrative. It got me thinking – I wonder if AI could be used to generate custom tarot spreads and interpretations? Like an “AI psychic” that suggests card layouts and meanings based on your question. Of course nothing can replace developing your own intuition, but it would be a fun tool to play with and spark new insights. Anyway, thanks for this awesome article! Can’t wait to try out these spreads and continue learning tarot. Do you have a favorite easy spread that you use often?

  • I am about Eclectic so I incorporate different methods into my practice of Tarot: 1) Sage and Dragons blood Incense for cleansing. 2) Crystals for protection and charging 3) Oracle Decks for Messages of Guidance (but I will definitely try using them for clarification). 4) Thankfully, I have Tarot decks with Astrological placement symbols on them. So, I will definitely try to reminder that. But I haven’t gotten into the numerological aspect, yet.

  • Not so sure if it is correct, but I like use tarot and oracle other way arround. As I seldom do ask clearly questions I first pull one to three oracle cards with main messages about what is important for me now or which message should I receive now and afterwords I clarify with tarot, for example: which situation it is about and than continue with identifiers (for identifiers I use sometimes even an different deck, so if a specific cards appears two times in one reading it means for me that this is the most important I have to understand). Cool article 🙂

  • i knock on cards, three times . shuffle then put to my heart chakra visualise angel wings then fill with reiki that radiates out to ground me and encircle me with protective shield, all the while thanking the cards in advance for an accurate and ensightful reading .. don’t like make making too much work for myself or anything lol

  • I have read cards playing and tarot for 52yrs since it was past to me in family. I have never in that time cleansed a deck, separated or blessed them. Why would we have to, we didnt believe in this religious nonsense. Take your cards out the box, shuffle, cut, lay out and read, what could be simpler. Worked for thousands of years and then along comes the internet to complicate things. Sorry the internet did not cause the problem, people just made it harder by making a simple thing we can all understand complicated.

  • I loved this article and everything you said! I agree, the Rider Waite Smith deck radiates energy for me but there are other decks that I love the artwork as well (especially Modern Witch) I also knock on my deck to shake off any of the energy that is stuck and cleanse using palo santo when I feel the need to 🤎 you are so down to earth! I loved/laughed at you speaking of the diversity and then realizing “ok these are all white people” and showing us a better example 😂💗 thank you for all this! 👏🏻
