In Age of Wonders 4, players can gain Thralls by precasting multiple global spells and storing them. These spells can be used in three ways: active, strategic, and tactical. Tomes are collections of spells, hero skills, units, and special province improvements that empires can research, as well as passive abilities.
Tier 4 is unlocked by having six affinity and two of the affinities tier 3 tomes, while Tier 5 is unlocked by having eight affinity and two of the affinities tier 4 tomes. Tech and research are tied to various Magic Tomes, each with its own set of spells. Astral Echoes can replace World Map Casting Points and Combat Casting Points, allowing players to cast more spells in and out of combat. City spells are now consistent on when they can be cast on allies, with beneficial effects being allowed and negative effects not.
To get more spells with your main hero, you must research them. They are usually on the second page of the research options. Wizard kings gain +5 combat and world casting points every time they level up, and there are also empire development nodes that increase your total. Tornado (56 Mana, Global) is most effective against lower-level units.
Strategic spells can be cast out of combat from the strategic map and are further subdivided into Global Enchantments and City Enchantments. Strategic spells compete with tactical spells for CP from your Leader, making them less available than if you were only casting strategic spells. Higher level tomes have more powerful and expensive spells, and players must research two tomes of a level before researching the next one.
In summary, Thralls are a valuable resource in Age of Wonders 4 for players to enhance their spell collection and strategy.

Do 10th level spells exist?
Dungeons and Dragons (D&D) has a limited number of spells that can reach level nine, but there were times when spells could reach level 10 and beyond. Despite the average game never reaching high levels of play, many players dream of reaching the fabled ninth level of magic and beyond. Ninth-level spells in D&D include powerful effects like time stop, gate, and meteor swarm. The wish spell allows players to ask for anything they want, but it can sometimes be unbeneficial as many DMs are not so benevolent.
High levels of play can involve ridiculous items like fabled +7 D and D weapons, but spells have a hard limit on their reach. There was a time when spellcasters could reach levels of power far beyond what current mages and priests can do.

I say this nearly every article, but as a Triumph gamer veteran, keep expecting this as the updates and DLC roll out: massive changes to Meta based on player feedback and save data shared. This game is going to play very differently from the vanilla launch, and from what I’m seeing, even more so than previous titles. Triumph seems to be going all in on making this their best yet.
Old Magic Victory wasn’t the best, true – it was too easy to turtle out. But the new one isn’t the best either. It’s way too much dependent on the rng (as we could even see in this article – two gold wonders in a single city). And looks a bit too similar to Domination Victory but with a research twist.
Incredibly bad rework… tbh i don’t know how they could have made a worse one. I don’t mind the focus on wonders but the ai doesn’t need to raid or occupy them to stop you. He just has to walk on the damn province. On the hardest difficulty i don’t spend my end game time enjoying fighting hard battles but rather trying to construct a wall of armies to stop the ai troops, who some just ignore my defenses and try to make a run for it… it’s like i am buliding Trump”s wall over here. Not at all my idea of fun. They should have at least given us 2 turns to clear them… hell even 1 turn.
I think this is a really good change! As they say, stops magic being a turtle victory. I can imagine an evil wizard scouring the land for wonders to seize…much more thematic than him just sitting, cackling in his tower. My only concern is the numbers needed. My current game says I need 4 wonders, which seems harsh!
Glad to hear the AI is actually attempting to stop the victory condition and it’s something I hope they continue to work on. As it is doing any victory condition is pretty much a gimme, the AI will never do anything to actually stop them. Could have everybody at war with the one doing the victory but nobody would send armies. Doing these should be a real commitment instead of just doing it to end the match easily
