The 2021 12.9″ iPad Pro with the white Magic Keyboard is a great accessory for users looking to protect their device from scratches and dents. To ensure the best protection, consider the best iPad Pro cases compatible with the Magic Keyboard. Some of the top options include the Leather Bound Magic Keyboard Case, which is handmade and offers a sleek and sophisticated look.
Apple’s design decision to integrate a USB-C port into the side of the Magic Keyboard allows for pass-through power for connected iPad Pros. For those looking to maintain a sleek and sophisticated look, the Leather Bound Magic Keyboard Case is the best option. Protecting the Magic Keyboard with a skin might be the best bet to maintain its pristine look and protect its components.
Logitech has a new iPad Pro M4 case that is similar to the Magic Keyboard but with a detachable keyboard and protection around the edges. However, the single cover that attaches to the iPads offers no side or back protection, and since the Magic Keyboard itself is a case, there will not be any cases that also fit iPad with its Magic Keyboard.
While the Magic Keyboard is a great accessory for the iPad Pro, it does not function as a protective case for the device. To find cases and screen protectors for your iPad against water, dust, and shock, shop protective covers online with fast, free shipping.

I have to ask because the way you made it sound is that the Magic Keyboard comes with a charging cable. Does it? Some of the other articles I have seen haven’t shown a charging cable, nor does the box say it comes with one. I was just curious. I like the skins, but most are not Prime accessible (two days) but I guess I can wait a little longer for just the skin. I am getting the keyboard cover for spills, I like that one. I think I will pay a little extra and get the Pitaka magnetic case and the card holder which covers the pencil and keeps in place. A little pricy, but I think is worth it.
Ok I just had to comment I just picked up the iPad and recently made Apple Pencil purchase I got to say the ultimate light armor build for the iPad is this (. iPad, paper lite screen protector Apple Pencil magic keyboard keyboard key cover cover Buddy notebook. Skin and what I say you left out was a travel case for the whole thing something where you can open it and immediately the iPad will be in laptop mode
NOTICE: the Apple iPad case (not magic but the other, lesser expensive one) is very light. This sounds like a great feature at first, but it makes it very prone to falling over backwards and potentially cracking your screen (which costs $500 to repair). Additionally, the two angles that the iPad case allows are non-ideal if you are laying down or sitting directly in front of it. Even though the keyboard is OK, I would strongly recommend getting a heftier case for more protection and possible angles.
The key covers I can understand, but I don’t understand the need for another case. I mean, how often are you going to be pulling out your iPad and handling it? It’s not a cell phone after all. It’s lighter than a laptop so the likelihood of you dropping seems slim to none but I could be wrong. I also agree with putting a skin on the magic keyboard since the silicone/rubber material stains so easily.
I saw the cover buddy that you showed I thought it might be worth the 2 or 3 dollars to protect it you know can’t be that expensive it’s just a little small molded piece of plastic doesn’t go all the way around I didn’t expect to see $36 for it are you sure you’re saying this is a good buy? I’ll just wait six months and pick one up at the dollar store. LOL
Got this with the Magic Keyboard and everyone is probably wondering if it works with a glass screen protector or not. Rest assured, the iPad along with the pitaka case, which actually came with a plastic screen protector for FREE (not mentioned in the box or on the website), can allow the magic keyboard to close properly unlike the switcheasy case. Backstory: I bought an elecom kent paperlike screen protector for my iPad which I bought refurbished around the same time. The iPad came with a case and a glass screen protector preinstalled which I didn’t expect. I was reluctant to peel away the glass screen protector without first testing it out, even though at this point I had 2 extra screen protectors then necessary, and to my surprise it fitted perfectly. The pitaka case has a raised edge on the side so even with the glass screen protector, the iPad wont actually rest on the screen when placed front down. Off note: The pitaka case is said to be made with this amazing aramid fiber but honestly it’s on the part of the pad that rests on the back of the keyboard. The sides of the case is made with a cheap plastic that won’t actually protect the pad that much at all if it gets dropped. It just adds a little protection agains’t scratches which can be achieved with a ‘skin’. No the corners don’t magically biodegrade like someone on amazon mentioned, but it will definitely chip along with the ipad if it was dropped at waist height.
Almost a perfect accessory but like other have said, the sides aren’t that durable and if you do choose to use this with your magic keyboard, you will be forced to use those paper-thin screen protector instead of a more protective tempered glass screen protector because the case won’t close flush/properly if you use the latter.
Just got it . Wish I had it a year ago. Smart Keyboard folio has weak magnets. Got iPad Air 4 it is durable . Have Amfilm papered glass screen protector has no problem shutting flush and connects no issues. Thanks for your review, got this instead of coverbuddy . It’s expensive but worth it. Still be putting magic keyboard in a sleeve before putting in my bag 💼👍🏽👍🏽
When mine’s snapped on, my Apple Pencil doesn’t charge or register at all 😕 I’ve also noticed how with yours aswell, it doesn’t seem to align perfectly with all the holes etc along the sides of the iPad? It had me wondering if I just somehow didn’t manage to snap mine in properly but yeah, trying my best, the Apple Pencil issue is a real issue for me.
That case looks sexy af, but I has too many faults, first the plastic is so thin and brittle that it’ll crack the first time you put it on like mine did, then there’s the magnets towards the bottom, they don’t hold on strong enough to stay put when you’re opening it so the iPad kinda flings put on the bottom before you even pop it open to the first position so it can damage the awful material the Magic Keyboard is made of, and then glass screen protectors don’t work with it, so I just got a DBrand sking for my iPad and the Magic Keyboard. It’s really the best option and with the skin all sides are protected. So I’m yeah
Nice article. Case looks nice but unfortunately it suffers from the same BIG FLAW as the coverbuddy case, it doesn’t cover all the sides, it covers 3 out of 4. There’s still a big chunk of side that’s left unprotected that can scratch, etc. I wish someone made a TRUE magic keyboard compatible case, you know one that covers all the sides.
