In Astrology, What Is A Red Witch Era?

The term “red witch” is often associated with the natural rhythms of a woman’s menstrual cycle and its synchronization with the lunar cycle. If your period aligns with the full moon, you might be considered a red witch. The energy of the Moon is at its lowest during a New Moon, which is equivalent to day 1 of a menstrual cycle. The white moon cycle is typically the most common cycle and is linked to the new moon. This means that if you are on a white moon cycle, you bleed around the new moon, and ovulate around the full moon. Because this cycle mirrors the traditional cycle of the moon and mother earth, a woman with a red moon cycle may be considered a red witch.

There are four different types of “cycle witches”: white moon witches bleed with the new moon, red moon witches bleed with the full moon, and pink moon witches. The first day of the full moon is always the day of the full moon. Women with a red moon cycle are historically known for being healers, magic-makers, and wisdom keepers. In ancient times, these women were priestesses, healers, witches, and medicine women. In contrast, the red moon cycle focuses on channeling creative energy outward.

Historically, women with a red moon cycle may have been punished for being witches, and they may still feel a bit unsafe using their intuitive abilities. If your period starts during the full moon, you are a red witch, and if somewhere in between, you will either be a pink or purple witch. Medical experts and astrologers explain what your red moon cycles mean and how to stay grounded during them.

The Moon’s energy is at its lowest during the New Moon, which is equivalent to day 1 of a menstrual cycle. The Full Moon is equivalent to ovulation and a high energy time, or around day 14 of the menstrual cycle. If you menstruate or feel at your lowest energy point around the New Moon, you are a white witch. If it’s around the full moon, you are a red witch. If somewhere in between, you’ll be either a pink or purple witch.

The White Moon Cycle aligns with Moon energy, meaning you bleed around the New Moon and ovulate around the Full Moon. A woman with a white moon cycle is in the Mother phase of her life, which may involve getting pregnant, starting a family, or focusing on nurturing and raising children.

Why is period blood unholy?

Hinduism and other religions have different views on menstruation, with Hinduism based on the story that menstruation was a result of a curse on Indra, which women took upon themselves. Women are not allowed to visit temples or touch Holy Books during menstruation, as they are considered impure. Some adherents believe that bleeding women is a living Goddess herself, and entering a temple would pass energy from the idol to her, making the idol lifeless.

However, views on menstruation in Hindu scriptures vary greatly. For example, the Bhagavad Gita, which includes the Bhagavad Gita, refers to people as souls, not men or women. This suggests that there should not be restrictions on women being considered unclean during menstruation.

There are numerous blogs discussing various religious taboos associated with the female cycle, with some justifying the seclusion of women from places of worship by claiming that the menstrual cycle is in rhythm with the lunar cycle and affects it. Orthodox Talmudic Judaism, Christianity, and Islam also have restrictive views on menstruation, with laws requiring the separation of men and women during the woman’s menstrual period.

What is the red and white menstrual cycle?

Vaginal discharge occurs during the first 5 days of a menstrual cycle, typically red or bloody. It may decrease after 6-14 days, and as the egg matures, cervical mucus becomes cloudy and white or yellow. Discharge can be caused by various natural processes, such as menstruation and lubrication during arousal. Some colors of discharge may indicate an infection or underlying health condition. Understanding the different colors and when to seek medical help is crucial. A color-coded guide to vaginal discharge is provided.

What is the difference between the red and white moon cycle?

The white moon cycle is characterized by menstruation occurring during the new moon and ovulation during the full moon, while the red moon cycle indicates bleeding during the brighter phase and ovulation at the new moon. Those following the white moon cycle, where ovulation occurs during the full moon, may be experiencing a phase of life where daily care is prioritized, such as taking care of family or work. Conversely, those following the red moon cycle, where ovulation occurs during the darkest phase, may be seeking adventure and exploring the outside world.

What is a red witch menstrual cycle?

The Red Moon cycle, which involves ovulation with the new moon and bleeding with the full moon, is associated with the archetypal Wise Woman, the healer, magic-maker, and wisdom keeper. Historically, menstruating with the full moon was considered a sign of a suspect energy. The Healer, who wielded healing power and magic, was also seen as a seductress and enchantress. However, the Red Moon cycle belonged to medicine women, midwives, and wisdom keepers who focused their feminine energies on empowering other women and their communities, rather than giving birth.

What does the red moon cycle symbolize?

The new moon is traditionally associated with menstruation, while the full moon is traditionally associated with ovulation. Some women experience their period on the full moon, known as a Red Moon Cycle. The White Moon Cycle is more common due to the Earth’s most fertile time during the full moon, which receives additional light from bright moonlight and sunlight. Red Moon women are traditionally thought to be healers, wise women, or medicine women, who care for other women during their periods. They are also associated with creation in other realms, such as art, business, or a new way of life.

It doesn’t matter whether you get your period on the full moon or the new moon, as long as it is consistent and lasts a similar number of days each time. Fluctuating cycles may indicate health issues like PCOS, fibroids, or endometriosis. A consistent, regular cycle is more likely to be symptom-free, but it may still cause PMS, cramps, or bloating. Ideally, your period’s arrival should be predictable, but not necessarily predicated on the moon’s actions.

What does it mean to have your period during a full moon?

The occurrence of menstruation during the full moon is regarded as an integral aspect of the red moon cycle. This phenomenon, as postulated by Meek, presents a unique spiritual opportunity for individuals to embrace their passionate, outgoing, and sexual selves. The pink moon cycle is associated with a period of transition, whereas the purple moon cycle is regarded as a time for healing, commencing with the waning moon.

Are red witches rare?

Red Witches are a prevalent category of witch in Omekra, frequently attracting attention from diverse individuals, particularly when attired in formal garments. However, when attired for combat, they are capable of swiftly dispersing large gatherings. This is evident in Witches of the Color Spectrum, Part 3, which provides an in-depth examination of the diverse range of witches in Omekra.

What moon phase should you get your period?

Menstruation is typically associated with the White Moon cycle, which begins around the new moon, the first phase of the lunar cycle. This is traditionally the optimum time for menstruation. Conversely, the Red Moon cycle involves menstruation around the full moon, which is often associated with creative energies. Historically, menstruating on the full moon was considered a sign of healing and creativity, with energy focused outward. Menstruation around the full moon may indicate a focus on self-growth, development, or a creative point in life.

  • Hi, today is Full Moon Eclipse in Taurus, and I started to bleed this morning 💖. It’s unusual for my body to synchronize its period with the moon, even it’s full moon or new moon. Recently I am working on healing my nervous system and allow me to rest deeper in my femininity, and my body just shift itself to bleed in one week later, which is right in Full Moon day 😱. I am very unknowing about what is happening and then your article pop up into my Youtube page. This is insane, it’s like spirit listen to me even without me intentionally ask for it, also, I am amazed of how wise my body is, like tf it shift itself synchronize with the full moon??!!! How in tune with nature it is!! OMG I feel so blessed to have this body! 😭🌹❤ Thank you sister, this helps me a lot to listen to my body 🥰💖🌸

  • Fom August I have had a red moon cycle, this is my 3rd red moon cycle in a row as if my body keeps shifting, early say 3 days or even late to bleed exactly on the full moon . I have been feeling creative during this time but interesting how you talked about having a red cycle means you don’t want children at the moment which is true for me aswell. 3 kids and I feel done, I don’t want anymore. I just need to lean into my trauma which I probably avoid. Thanks for the article

  • Thank you for this article. I’ve watched articles that have said we’re actually supposed to get our period on the new moon…so this was very liberating. I loved the symbolism behind getting our period on the full moon as well. I look forward to growing closer with this time and using it as a sacred space to heal and grow❤️
