Quick-Play Spells can only be activated from your hand on your turn, unless a card effect states otherwise. To activate a Quick-Play Spell on your opponent’s turn, it must be face-down on the field. Players can activate Quick-Play Spell Cards from their hand during any Phase of their turn, except the Damage Step, unless ruled otherwise.
Quick-play spells can be used during the battle phase, but they cannot be activated from your hand during the opponent’s turn. Players may activate Quick-Play Spell Cards from their hand at any point during their own turn (except the Damage Step, unless ruled otherwise). They can also be set from the hand during the Book of Mon.
To play a QP spell card in your opponent’s turn, it must first be set in your turn. You can play a QP spell card from your hand during your turn. Players may activate Quick-Play Spell Cards from their hand during their own turn, but cannot activate them from their hand during the opponent’s turn.
