The Bloodrager is a hybrid class introduced in Pathfinder’s Advanced Class Guide, combining barbarian and sorcerer skills. At 4th level, an enlightened bloodrager can still use Intelligence-, Dexterity-, and Charisma-based skills and abilities. This allows them to cast an expanded array of spells, unlike their normal spells per day and spells known for their bloodrager level.
Bloodragers have full BAB, medium armor, a Rage mechanic similar to the Barbarian, and a unique method of casting violent, rage-fueled spells. However, they cannot cast spells or concentrate on them while raging, which is a class feature or magic item. Enlightened Bloodrager only gives cantrips once you get your spellcasting.
An enlightened bloodrager can also use a metamagic rod of furious spell to cast spells while raging. However, they cannot rage and cast at the same time, which is a loss for those who want to play irredeemably evil characters.
The Way of the Wicked is a 6-part Adventure Path that goes from Level 1 to Level 20, where the concept is that you are playing irredeemably evil characters. However, there is no solid connection between their spellcasting and their raging, and there is no incentive to use their magic to bless themselves with one of their many transmutation effects.
In conclusion, the Bloodrager is a unique hybrid class that combines barbarian and sorcerer skills, allowing them to cast an expanded array of spells and utilize their unique abilities.
