In retail, you cannot dodge, block, or parry while hard casting or channeling an ability unless it is explicitly mentioned in that ability. This is not the same as spell lock with command demon, which is specific to felhunter only. Channeled spells can be interrupted via the /stopcasting part of the macro in the OP to allow an extra attack “during” the cast, but with the caveat that you have to time it with not.
If a spell or ability or item use is on the global cooldown, it can only be placed at the end of a macro. Once the GCD activates the macro will stop functioning. The “!” isn’t a priority thing; it’s an “on only” if the spell is an on-off and there are very few spells that it can be used with.
Shamans that are resto or elemental usually use a one-handed wep and a shield, but I want to know if I shield can actually do anything aside from a Blink that can Blink while casting in exchange for a significantly longer cooldown and the loss of the stun break utility.
Click Cast Keybinds is a new feature coming in Eternity’s End, allowing players to bind spells and macros to mouse clicks. When you cast a spell (with a cast time), you can’t dodge, parry, or block.
The Last Titan is expected to be the final expansion of WoW 1. You turn automatically while casting a channelled spell, but not for normal casted spells. Blocking while casting can be done, but you can get stunned when blocking, which interrupts your actions.
Casting most spells will block you from meleeing, but when you cast an instant ability, it merely resets your melee to its base weapon speed timer. Kicks should be changed to lock the 1 spell, not the spell school.

Dodge is a passive ability that prevents the entire melee swing from being triggered. It is a crucial skill for tanking players, as it only allows close-range melee attacks to be dodged. Players can only dodge attacks if they are facing their opponent, but mobs can dodge attacks from behind. Incapacitated targets, such as stunned ones, cannot dodge. To increase dodge chances, players can increase their dodge rating, which increases their effective chance to dodge or dodge percent(). The level of their opponent and the amount of dodge a player has are also influenced by their class, level, and dodge rating.

Can the force block spells?
A wall of force spell creates an invisible barrier that is immune to damage and can be destroyed by disintegrate, rod of cancellation, sphere of annihilation, or mage’s disjunction spell. Breath weapons and spells cannot pass through the wall, but dimension door and teleport effects can bypass it. The wall blocks ethereal and material creatures, but ethereal creatures can navigate through it. Gaze attacks can operate through the wall.
The caster can form the wall into a flat, vertical plane, with an area of up to one 10-foot square per level. If the wall’s surface is broken, the spell fails. The wall can be made permanent with a permanency spell.
How does spell block work?
Spell Block is a passive effect that activates automatically when a blockable single target spell is targeted at a unit. It may also be a buff that protects the unit while the buff is active. Spell Blocks have a down time and go on cooldown after blocking a spell, but they do not provide permanent protection against single target spells. They only block spells upon cast and do not cancel ongoing casts when affected by a single target spell. Spell Block does not protect against area of effect spells or single target spells when hit as a secondary target.
If a single target spell has an area effect, Spell Block negates it, protecting nearby allies. Projectile-based spells are usually blocked upon impact, with a few exceptions. A spell’s interaction with Spell Block may change if the ability is changed by other abilities, talents, or Aghanim’s Scepter.

Off meta theroycrafting is no joke, the most interesting and fun thing I know in wow. Keep it comming, I live for stuff like this! Now to the topic of the article: – Might be more effecient to go with life steal as it scales with spell power. – Depending on the proc rate it might be worth going with a weapon such as, Wraith Scythe( classic.wowhead.com/item=11920/wraith-scythe#comments ) as its scales 1/1 with spellpower. Could be worth researching after other 1/1SP-weapons that have decent proc rates. This… This got me excited.
I played balance on Pservers, and played Hand of Ed/Omen of Clarity for a good period of time. It did work with Moonfire, so with large packs of mobs, you can spread moonfire on mobs, while giving you a chance of proccing both an instant starfire and Omen in between each application. It was very good damage on trash or aoe packs, and it was very fun. Outside of that, Hand of Ed and meleeing in general was pointless unless you’re questing or leveling or messing around
In WotLK Holy Nova gets it’s mana cost reduced by 60% at lower ranks, making AoE spamming Holy Nova the fastest way to solo grind starting around level 40, when you get gear from SM. It’s Probably faster than Shadow Until 70, at which point, it’s generally on par or 10-20% slower than shadow, unless you can 7-8 pull regularly. With this technique, I should be able to single target kill a mob faster, leading to faster spirit taps. Spirit tap doubles your spirit, which increases your Spirit->Spell power conversion of Spiritual Guidance from 25% of spirit to effectively 50% of you character sheet spirit. I’m going to have to see what weapons/oils still scale with spell power in wotlk, because this could be insane for leveling on Fresh. Just looked up “Black Menance” a 1.5 speed alliance SM quest reward. If it scales with spell power, that’s right when Holy Priests get +100 spell power from talents, it could be BiS for a while if it scales in WotLK and has a decent proc chance.
Great stuff! I guess, while lvling a priest you don’t really have to worry about 1.5sec GCD as mostly you just wand after applying SW:P, so your melee weapon just needs to be not slower than your wand attack speed. Really looking forward for some action as priest tank, would even better than outraging everybody with Smite, haha. Keep up the good work!
What about weaving wand, melee, & instant spells? I’ve experimented with this on a low lvl priest. Casting a wand attack (which doesnt trigger melee or spell cd), hit once with melee, then cast an instant spell (which doesnt trigger wand cd), and then repeating. If you as a shadowpriest can boost the dmg of a shadow wand (25%wand dmg talent, shadowform, shadowweaving) you may even be able to do reasonable dmg, the best wand doing 1.39 dps/s and is shadow dmg.
