Another fan is an antique Star Rite electric fan by Fitzgerald MFG Co., which has four blades with a square cage and heavy metal base. It measures 11″ high with an 8″ blade and has been updated with new cloth coated insulated wire and rubber grommets inserted in the casting wire clearance holes.
The Star Rite fan was manufactured by the Fitzgerald Manufacturing Company in the 1930s and is known for its heavy duty yet quiet operation. The fan’s unique blades, called Parker blades, were first patented in 1899 and again in 1927.
