Girl Made of Stars is a 2018 young adult fiction novel by Ashley Herring Blake, focusing on Mara Mara, a student from Pebblebrook High School. Mara leads the Empowerment student club, which aims to address gender inequalities. She is bisexual and dated Charlie for a while. Mara’s relationship with her twin brother, Owen, deteriorates as she struggles to find her own beliefs. Mara also splits up with her long-time girlfriend, Charlie, and tries to reconcile with her.

The novel was positively received by critics, who praised its difficult themes, such as gender identity and the liveliness of the characters. However, critics criticized the extensive coverage of themes, arguing that it weakened the overall structure of the novel. In 2019, the novel was included on the Amelia Bloomer book list, an annual list compiled by the American Library Association to recognize books aimed at teenagers with strong female characters and feminist messages.

What is the summary of the star story?

“The Star” is a science fiction short story by Arthur C. Clarke, set in a remote star system where a group of Earth explorers discover the remnants of an advanced civilization destroyed by its star’s supernova. The group’s chief astrophysicist, a Jesuit priest, suffers a deep crisis of faith due to an undisclosed event during their journey.

The destroyed planet’s culture was similar to Earth’s, and the doomed people built a vault on the outermost planet in their solar system, whose Pluto-like orbit survived the supernova. In the vault, they placed a complete record of their history, culture, achievements, and philosophy, hoping that it would someday be found to save their existence. The Earth explorers, particularly the astrophysicist-priest, are deeply moved by these artifacts and identify with the peaceful, human-like culture of the dead race, despite their cruel fate. The story was published in Clarke’s 1958 book of short stories The Other Side of the Sky and reprinted in the January 1965 issue of Short Story International.

The novel follows Yaz, a girl from the Ictha tribe, who faces a day of selection where she must remain on the ice with her people or be thrown into a dark pit. The tribes have long accepted this harsh way of life, where the weak are a factor that cannot be tolerated. Yaz is not only the loving big sister to Zeen but also a keen observer of the world around her. She relies on others, such as Quell, who provides the necessary “stuff” to survive. Quell is described as a mix of kindness and bravery with which he tackles the world.

Yaz is not just a girl who wants to become a wife; she wants more. She comes off as a feminist figure, not wanting to settle for being nothing more than living as her mother had lived, baring children. The novel provides a glimpse into the tribe’s traditions, basic life, and relationships before accelerating into the main storyline.

What is a Star 🌟?

A star is a luminous spheroid of plasma held together by self-gravity, with the Sun being the nearest star to Earth. Stars are classified into constellations and asterisms, with many having proper names. Astronomers have created star catalogues to identify known stars and provide standardized designations. The observable universe contains an estimated 10 22 to 10 24 stars, with only about 4, 000 visible to the naked eye. A star’s life begins with the gravitational collapse of a gaseous nebula of hydrogen, helium, and trace heavier elements.

Its total mass determines its evolution and eventual fate. Stars shine for most of their active life due to thermonuclear fusion of hydrogen into helium in their core, releasing energy that travels the star’s interior and radiates into outer space. At the end of a star’s lifetime, its core becomes a stellar remnant, such as a white dwarf, neutron star, or black hole. Stellar nucleosynthesis in stars or their remnants creates almost all naturally occurring chemical elements heavier than lithium.

Astronomers can determine stellar properties, including mass, age, metallicity, variability, distance, and motion through space, by observing a star’s brightness, spectrum, and changes in its position in the sky over time.

  • What if hear me out when Taylor was younger he moved to the town and he wanted to be mayor or whatever he is so he poisoned the water. He wanted everything to be how he liked it, but that did end up backfiring, and when he dies, eventually, everybody’s just gonna Turn back to how they were originally supposed to be because the water isn’t contaminated anymore

  • After perusal lots of analysis articles of this series, I started thinking maybe Stars Hollow is the setting for a horror movie, the quirkiness of all the characters is something to be worried about. And everyone who moves there for long enough suddenly has the urge to stay there. Not in a permanent way, but they all end up coming back. Even the people who wanted to get away are stuck in this fairy tale town. The only exceptions I can think of are Dave and Jess, to some degree. He just comes back a lot to see how Luke and Rory are doing.

  • I heard Jennette McCurdy speak to my campus just last week at University of California, Irvine. I wanted to share she is an absolutely intelligent, strong, kind, and capable human being that cares so much about individuals. She made many of us, including the interviewer—whom she took the hand of after noticing— tear up with her experiences, messages, take-aways, and advice. I encourage you, if you have the opportunity, listen to her.

  • Jeannette McCurdy is a Rolemodel not just for young women but young men too. It’s ironic how She chose the ‘less glamorous’ life compared to Ariana yet in my eyes she’s the true inspiration. Jennette’s mothers situation growing up is remarkably similar to my own although unlike Jeanette I was blessed to have a caring mother. Jennette is a truly strong woman deserving of recognition and praise unlike the false idols and celebrities that are paraded around as being the figures young people should look up to. It’s truly backwards.

  • That piece about forgiveness is beautiful. I agree. I’ve been through child abuse myself. And I’m currently working on forgiving my stepfather. But it’s true. I don’t HAVE to forgive him. I think personally that forgiveness is not about the person who hurt you, but about you allowing yourself to move on and let go of the situation. You don’t have to do that, especially when you’re not ready yet. It can take years to get to that place and that’s okay. You can move on your own pace.

  • I hope to escape the abuse from my dad which has lasted for years upon years! For those who don’t grow up in a abusive environment, there’s a lot of ptsd that your brain tries to protect itself from the trauma it has endured but the painful memories pop in your head randomly and play on rewind almost every day! It’s a mental hell that I wish on no one!

  • I am a mother and a sex therapist who used to work w helping ‘people’ manage risky behaviours and fetishes. When my young daughter watched this show (and others) I used to scream at the TV I could tell it was a creepy producer (I know the industry too well) I could see Jennette spiralling. I have known and seen too much for too long. Grateful the elephants in the room are being called out.

  • Ariana Grande is the one who accepted the abuse for the top fame she has now. As long as youre quiet youll get all the opportunities like what Usher has because of his silence on Diddy’s abuse. Justin Bieber will speak out really soon. One thing I also noticed is that the mothers of these children are the ones who put the kids through this. Every Nick kid had a mom who wanted them on and ended up breaking up with their husbands who said to keep an eye on the kid because the mom wants the fortune from their kid’s fame. These people are savages and literally pimped their kids to these monsters.

  • “Jeanette was supporting her entire family on her own” …oof. I’m so sorry Jeanette. I feel what burden that was on you so young. Growing, blossoming from trauma and misfortune, taking care of ourselves instead of everyone else with no love left for you…never again. Keep on your path of integrity, and we’re blooming now because we stayed on it! 🌸

  • Thank you for speaking out! My mother was very controlling of me and it was hard to understand. I too, felt my own mother had my best interests at heart. I’ve learned over the years that she had issues and I was just a child trying to please her mother. At 18years of age, I didn’t know who I really was….my mother told me who I was and expected me to live up to her demands. As time went on, I was very confused and needed help. I was making terrible decisions in my life that affected everyone. This went on for years. I didn’t realize I needed help until I hit rock bottom and was placed at Teen challenge with counselors and other women. This forever changed me and God has brought much healing in my life. Today, I am 56 years of age with a counselor and doctor that have been a blessing. I can look back now and realize it wasn’t my fault. I have forgiven and God has turned things around. Through counseling, I learned to set boundaries so that I could have a healthy relationship with others. Boundaries are key to your self-worth.

  • I’m so proud of you Jennette. You are extremely brave to do what you did. Life can be rough, but we would do literally anything when it comes to family. So I want to congratulate you for being strong + fighting through everything you went through. “The person who gets back up, is stronger than the one who pushes you down.” This quote can have a different meaning to a lot of people, but hearing your story made me think of this, because only a person with true Loyalty, Courage, Love, Boldness, etc. can overcome anything💙💙

  • As a child of the 80’s and a teen of the 90’s it’s really been hard getting older and trying to still occasionally enjoy some of these Nickelodeon shows that I grew up on. Learning the story’s and hearing all the accusations just makes it gross. You’d have to be an idiot not to notice the sexualization of pre teen boys and girls that the entertainment industry is soooo guilty of. I often catch myself just shaking my head and saying: “Wow… They certainly didn’t look like THAT when I was a kid.” I don’t have any children, but please parents…. Protect your little ones. You’re all they have.

  • She went through so damn much, none of which she deserved. But all of that made her so insanely strong that only she could trailblaze this path for others to speak their truth as well. All of that is super heavy and yea it is reality shattering to have to reframe your entire life after losing your mom and see the situation for what it was all along. So proud of her for how far she’s come and to be unapologetic for her perspective.

  • You beautiful child. I know what you’ve gone through, my mother was mentally abusive also. It is hard!!! When she died, I felt relief, like a huge stone was taken off my back. I wish you peace, comfort and love. From one mentally abused woman to another. I’m now 67, if you ever need a grandma…I’m here for you.

  • 20 years of therapists tell me to go no-contact with my mom. I can relate with hearing the most disgusting and unloving thing from a parent that you are supposed to look up to and have on a pedastal. When I left and decided to get help, to go on the inner healing journey, my mother began doing this to my daughter, to the point my daughter went to court to give right to my mother and didn’t tell me until after she did it. She told me my mother told her not to talk to me about it, but it was something they had been planning for a while. My daughter looks empty inside, brainwashed, ill, lost… I went to open house with her for school this year and she told her teachers her grandmother has been gaslighting her. They laughed, so did my mother. They asked why my daughter drastically changed her appearance; she used to dress up for school, do fun make up, and dye her hair different colors to express her art outwardly. Teachers were shocked to see he with short blonde hair and wearing pajamas to school. I pointed at my mother and said, “she made her do it.” My mother said, “I wanted her to cut her hair and be a blonde for her senior year, she did it to make ME happy!” The teachers laughed, meanwhile I was standing realizing the teachers weren’t even realizing what was being confessed right to their faces. This story has inspired me to get ahold of higher authorities to speak the truth. Thank you.

  • I can’t even watch anything with child actors anymore without thinking they are being, at best, manipulated, and at worst being horribly abused in one way or another. The terrible demise of many child actors, or their cries for help with drug use or psychotic breaks, etc. is so heartbreaking. There is much evil in this world. But, there is also much good. And everything good is due to God. Turn to God and away from evil. Jesus is the way, the Truth and the Life. It’s not an easy path, but a righteous one. I hope her story brings others to Truth.

  • I lost my mother at 18 and remember sitting by her hospital bed, and the light behind her eyes was already gone. When she said “Look mommy, I’m so skinny right now”, my heart breaks for Jeannette so so much. I cannot fathom that being my way of trying to wake up my mom when I knew she was fading. I just want the best for Jeannette and also her siblings.

  • She was very smart, even though at time she was manipulated. So glad she spoke out. These predators are everywhere and if ppl stay quiet they go on doing any and everything they think they can get away with. As for forgiveness. I loved that. I’m sorry some ppl just dont deserve that. Its sucks when you have to cater to others and the only way you can breath is if an abusive person in your life passes on.

  • When i first heard of the book title i was like “omg what a horrible human being she is” upon hearing her story it completely changed my perspective of her. I respect her for growing from it and not allow her demons and childhood traumas to take over her life. She is courageous and inspiring. You go girl !!!

  • Her book is AMAZING. Seriously. The audible version is great because she narrates it and I just couldn’t help but listen to it all in one day. Definitely recommend. Jennette is an amazing woman and I love her. Even though it probably means nothing, I’m so proud of her. FWIW I never liked Arianna. Something about her always annoyed me.

  • I wish people would understand we don’t always have to forgive and forget. Tired of being told or asked about stopping being angry or having resentment against a certain person. I finally got to a point I could respond with saying I don’t want to talk or have to think about that person cause i get angry again and no, the resentment doesn’t go away. I felt guilty for not getting rid of the feelings and believed that forgiving someone is done for yourself and not for that person. Not true. I fine feeling whatever I feel ignoring that person even exists. As long as no one brings it up, there’s no anger or resentment. If someone does, I don’t need to say anything-just walk away for a while and they get the message eventually.

  • My daughter used to watch this show when she was young. My mother would tell me that she was uncomfortable with my daughter perusal this show, that it was inappropriate for my young child. I used to blow it off as “its ok, its a kids show, its harmless” I just never saw the things my mother was concerned with, i see it now.

  • The issue is so many child actors spend their entire lives working in the industry and creating their acting career and for most speaking out means putting an end to everything they’ve worked for and alot of the time just like with the sam&cat ‘severence pay’ there’s non disclosure agreement forcing them to be silent about their experience some people push this stuff to the back and try to push through with their careers I think this is also why alot of child actors abandon acting to persue a music career maybe to detach themselves from their past while still maintaining everything they worked hard for

  • Your incredible Jeannette and you are contributing to a much larger and stronger impact than someone who makes Manufactured music. Success is not a result of fame or how much money you have. It’s a result of how many lives you uplift and make a positive impact in my eyes you are inspiration and a hell of a force compared to someone who’s still in a rut and consistently needs to prove to themselves where they are in life. There’s a difference between knowing who you are and being known for a materialistic persona. I prefer to know who I am.

  • Guys seriously read her book before making your own assumptions. She does not hate Ariana. She associated Ariana with things she wanted and so she developed Ariana in her brain as a bad guy and formed jealousy around her. She acknowledged in her book that it wasn’t Ariana’s fault. They don’t hate each other. When Jeanette started iCarly, she was promised her own spin off show about her. Then Dan changed his mind and made the show include Ariana 50% and it upset Jeanette because that’s not what she was originally told. And since she was a child, she associated that hate towards Ariana. As an adult she realizes it wasn’t Ariana. She also was jealous of Ariana because she grew up wealthy and has normal parents. Jeanette has neither of those things. Again, she recognizes now that her jealousy and hatred were misplaced. They don’t hate each other

  • This young woman is Brave, honest, caring and a hero. Every young person perusal this will begin to have the courage to report what is happening to them now or what took place in their lives. Arianna will tell her story when she is good and ready for herself and not because it is expected of her. Both are witnesses to abuse of power in a risky business. Both beautiful artist and human beings that deserve respect. 🥰

  • Jennette, you are SO amazing. I think you found the best destiny for yourself in the world: CHANGING OTHERS LIVES! and healing your own wounds at the same time in the most incredible way, And I think that is the most amazing “job” a human can have. Thank you for being so inspiring. You gave me a lot of strength. Again, you are amazing. ❤

  • There’s just this pure honesty that we humans can bond through. Unlike my niece who grew up in a loving family but once her mother punishes her, she rather blame bad parenting instead of thinking about her action as that cases consequences. God have mercy on this evil world we share with the devil. I’m happy for JM ❤

  • I’ve been hearing everything they’ve exposed about Dan Schneider since the day he was fired from Nickelodeon and hearing everything that happened the whole time he worked there. All that Dan and others like him are guilty of, what they did to these child stars, how they destroyed what little shred of good childhood or good relationships they had with their families and more. All I can say is every child is meant to be loved, looked after and cared for and to have a happy childhood. I’m glad that Miranda was someone who kept Jennette stable so she wouldn’t lose it. I’m glad she didn’t take the hush money and chose her freedom to speak the truth and that she exposed all that went on at the hands of those who are guilty. I don’t know if I can relate to her in any shape or form because I too have been through some form of abuse but it was probably not as big as what she went through. So maybe I can relate a little bit but not completely.

  • I respect so much that she had every opportunity to take the hush money but she didn’t. She decided to make a change for the next generation to expose the gross mistreatment of child actors and I honestly believe in every little thing she does to advocate for herself and others, it’s making a difference. Good on her 💗

  • ah i always kind of knew i always had this small weird feeling that Jenette was something different outside of being Sam, weird cuz i felt that as a younger not fully developed being, I Love you Jenette!!!!!!!!!!! Thankyou for being there internally strong, pushing through alot, staying strong and staying in the fight and continued grinding, to you it may have been a hard grey dark blur, but for many of us including me, it created an awesome childhood, and that means alot to me even as a grown adult i still go back and watch iCarly just cuz the energy you guys gave off, respect to you Jenette!!! I Love you

  • Jennette, my respect and admiration for your strength and smart decisions. You don’t have to apologize for anything to anyone. Don’t you dare feel guilty about your mom. You went above and beyond what a good daughter would do under the circumstances. May God bless you always and in every way for being an excellent example. Sending you much love, strength and blessings. 🌿🌹🌿🤗

  • Jennette McCurdy ill always RESPECT and love her STRONG SPIRIT and her LIGHT and how much of a FIGHTER she is a Wonderful Person and wish her all the best in her Life and as well her Friends and if she does any Music i am all for it for i think Music HELPS as more then just Listening it is as well a ART Form that can Heal the Mind and Soul and give the Stories to the People who Listen

  • Yah my uncle and I were listening to her audio book on pandora. I’m 33 and never knew how dark things can get when you have a devouring mother. My uncle just downloaded the free book and I thought it was a story about a young child actor but then it just started getting darker and darker. Our drive to work to our field site is about 4 hours and I didn’t know it was about this girl who is about my age. Then she brought up icarly. Hit me pretty hard. As men, you better pick the right woman to procreate with. She had to endure an evil woman and man. Glad Miranda was there to help her get there. Hope she finds the peace and love, that she deserves.

  • instead of being jealous of Ariana focus on yourself and what makes you happy – you have blessings too ……I really think once you do that you will find peace…….I believe you one hundred percent – this man was a monster and glad you spoke out …..but concerning Ariana I would just let that part go

  • Tbf i think Jeanette Mcardy was being unfair comparing her early childhood experiences to Ariana’s! Sure J didnt have it easy by wot she says but its not her poor mums fault life dealt her a bad set of unfortunate cards n if anything that early unfortunate experience prob made J stronger n more resilient to the celeb world! Yes trauma is nonetheless trauma n i know myself from my own personal life experiences and had i of made a career no matter how succsessful i wud be content with that and not hate on others who may of had it easier! Jealousy is unavoidable for sure its a natural emotion to feel we ALL get it.I wish nothing but the best for Ariana AND Jeanette! X

  • Why is Arianna being blamed for whatever abused that went on? I think everyone has their own way of dealing with abuses and if Jeannette wants to voice out about her abuse that is fine and good. But, I don’t think it is fair that Arianna should be blamed for not speaking out openly for abuses that went on. If Arianna way of dealing with life struggles and disappointment is by being silent and seeing a therapist is the best for her healing then that is her personal way and should be her own business. She could have discussed about her abused without mentioning Arianna or anyone name but she had to because she wanted folks to know that she was not the only person involved and not everyone want to discuss their abuses openly to the world but privately. This is very wrong to bring up Arianna name without her consent and she’s mad about Arianna not speaking up openly. Everyone doesn’t get their healing by voicing up publicly, some folks prefer private consultation only. Bringing up someone’s name publicly without their permission is totally wrong and disrespectful. She needs to leave Arianna name out of her story cause it is wrong and disrespectful to mentioned someone’s name without the permission of the person .WOW

  • Abusers are very good at detecting vulnerability in their victims. The fact is they don’t target everybody and if they do it is done in varying degrees. Ariana perhaps had a strong self identity due to her loving and solid upbringing – this in part would have acted as a shield and she may not have had the same experiences with this creep. I applaud Jeanette on her courage for speaking out against these gross, narcissistic sub humans – and especially shedding light on the fact that mothers can also fall into this category of evil.

  • Coming away with the appropriate conclusions as an adult once you’ve gained a fuller context in general can definitely be hard. It could force you to realize that people you looked up to when you were young were flat out wrong and then you’re left to reevaluate EVERYTHING with this new knowledge. It takes effort and it’s hard. But refusing to check your premises is self-destructive and will only encourage more irrational behavior.

  • My heart hurts. My mother had cancer and she’d never treat me that way. It’s hard and disgusting Man I’m just crying it doesn’t make sense. This needs to be shared. Save those like her!! Integrity she said. Ari I hope u speak and be just as brave as she is!!! Maybe Ari didn’t experience the same shit but to stand by her means more than being silent.

  • “I’m Glad My Mom’s Dead”, by Jeanette McCurdy. Her entire goal now is the salvation of her soul and her mental health. She will not be swayed by any amount of fame or money to further cause injury to her self. She endured so much abuse throughout childhood – misinformation against her PERSONAL success ( but constant pressure towards outward success), manipulation and no respect for her young growing body and mind. I applaud her and I pray that God almighty keeps His angels around her until she is healthy enough to heal even more. Her therapist was great. God is better, through Jesus. He will wait for her and I pray for her continued healing and renewing oh her body and heart.

  • I can completely understand how she felt jealous of Ariana’s success, especially considering her silence – perusal her career as a pop star take off while her career took a hit after she was in litigation with Nickelodeon over abuse allegations and dealing with her abusive mother. Life works in mysterious ways, some of us are meant to walk the path of integrity and truth, everyone is not.

  • The people who know when to keep their mouths shut and when to open wide, go the furthest. It seems like Ariana knew exactly what she was doing with those suggestive behaviors, and she was willing to open wide to catch that success all over her face. I can’t stand fake people…fake personas, fake voice, fake relationships, fake opinions, fake relationships…you get the point.

  • I’m not an Ariana super fan, but the way they tear her down here is disgusting. People process trauma differently, and just because Jeanette wants to process out loud doesn’t mean Ariana is doing it wrong. There’s shame associated with this kind of abuse, and nobody should judge someone for staying quiet.

  • Ariana doesnt claim abuse she used it to get where she is now. Its not abuse if you like to play the game. Well her day will come and there will be a new young thing to take her place. Maybe one day she will slow down enough to see where her life went and she will be a has been. Hope someones left to pick up her pieces.

  • I think ariana capitalized off her relationship with Dan and she took it because she wanted to be famous more than anything. I don’t think dan turned them against eachother. Ariana boasted on set constantly and did whatever she had to do to get to the top. I don’t think ariana sees herself as a victim unlike mccurdy.

  • I’m sorry but if there’s an ounce of genuine, it would be Jeanette, Arianna is so beyond fake and can’t even muster an original thought together without being exactly like her former character cat. I’ve always thought that of her. Even the Manchester bombing reaction I believe was fake, because she said nothing. Just sat there and made it about her

  • I am reading Jennette’s book. I feel she has much more integrity and honesty than Ariana so I can absolutely see why she was jealous. Ariana had a totally different life and different opportunities. Ariana has the voice of an angel, but she simply does not have the integrity Jennette has. Also, I wish writing was viewed with as much respect as more glamourous careers such as singing and acting. Jennette is a good writer which is impressive considering she was homeschooled by a shitty mom and lived in poverty most of her childhood. Ariana seems nice in a kind of shallow way, but her behavior is not that of a truly kind person.

  • The Bible is truth. To understand this you must do the inner work Jesus Christ taught. It all starts with forgiveness from the heart. Start by finding the grievances we all build up with our parents. They have generally raised fed loved us to some degree. Looking inside, realizing that they are people who make mistakes too, and genuinely forgiving them everything shows an important aspect of your soul to God. Genuinely mean absolute forgiveness inside your heart. This is key. To be forgiven we must forgive. This step teaches you why Jesus Christ is lord, and why you need to break down to him and ask for forgiveness. Afterwards read Genesis, Mathew, and one book of the Bible you chose yourself. These four steps have important spiritual significance and are like milestones within our souls. Please trust me. Genuinely open your heart up to God. It is all true. Jesus Christ is the way truth and life. 😊

  • Jeanette needs to quit judging people. She’s always been jealous of Ari anyway. Everyone deals with trauma differently. Some of us are too ashamed to talk about it because we don’t want other people to know what happened. We don’t want people to look at us that way. It’s not about selling out or helping the abuser; it’s about not wanting to relive it if you put it out there. Both she and Ari were victims. The fact that Ari was able to move on and be successful is a testament to her strength. Dan is the villain, not Ari.

  • It’s sad that Jeanette was abused but still doesn’t really make me feel a lot of guilt for her. That DID NOT AND DOES STILL NOT give her the right to blame Ariana for all of this. It’s not right and it’s certainly not ok. And like I said on another page on YouTube, you signed that damn contract, so every celeb going through security and anxiety from fans and other stuff. You wanted it.

  • I think it’s important to give yourself time to process emotions before you forgive someone. If you don’t, you risk bottling those emotions up and ignoring them and letting them fester. In the end, you don’t have to forgive abuse. But process the bitterness, and the anger, and the grief. If only for yourself. ❤️ True forgiveness is for the people who want to change and see growth. Don’t forgive anyone who continues the same behavior.

  • Maybe Ariana is trying to forget that part of her life. They made her do some really embarrassing stuff that I am sure is hard for her to look back on. She might not be comfortable to speak up just yet.. maybe she will one day because her voice would have a huge impact on others coming forward and protecting these kids in the future.

  • So Sad, especially because so many females and males can completely understand due to abuse endured by Parents!! God help us All heal, be restore 100% and to Forgive those that abused us, exploited us and completely took advantage of our childhood innocence and vulnerabilities!! God be with us All in Jesus name, Amen!❤😊

  • What an absolutely amazing woman. I am sorry you didn’t have the support system you needed to protect you when you were in Hollywood. The price that these young children pay isn’t worth the money they make and sometimes gets stolen from their own families. So glad to see you made it out and are working through the issues that were thrown onto you at such a young age. I’m sure you’ve inspired many ppl in similar situations so please keep speaking out! 💕

  • Calorie restriction is not the same as anorexia. Sorry, but kids have to stop blaming all their mishaps on their parents and take responsibility for their own choices. She told her mom she didnt want boobs bc she was scared. Her mom gave her an alternative. Calorie restriction! Not anorexia. Also let’s be mad at ariana for pursing her dreams. Wow, she just sounds jealous to me.

  • Jeanette’s situation about her mother is so similar. A narcissistic woman who doesn’t care about their own daughter and tries to act like that care in front of others I’m sure which narcissistic tend to do. And Bless her mother’s heart and it’s hard to say that you love your mother when she abuses you or even neglect you as a child. And the relief I would understand.

  • AND JADA PINKETT & HER KIND WITH THE SICKNESS & HOW THEY PRETEND TO BE SO CONCERNED WHILE ON THE INSIDE THEY’RE LOOKING LIKE POOR BABY SUCK IT UP SMILING ON THE INSIDE BECAUSE THEY FIND THAT UNRIGHTEOUS IMORAL LIFE STYLE “NORMAL” I PRAY THAT JEHOVAH GOD PUTS A WEDGE OF PROTECTION AROUND ALL THE CHILDREN & GIVE THEM PEACE OF MIND & HELP WITH WHAT THESE PEOPLE HAVE DONE TO THEM & JUSTICE IN JESUS NAME, AMEN 🙏🏾❣️🤲🏾🕊️

  • Yea yeah welcum to Hollywood. We all know what the casting couch is all about. Buyers remorse. You made a deal with the devil now live with it! I don’t feel sorry for these people. Young or not. They fully understood the assignment and went in it with it anyways! Now that you have gotten older and less desirable for roles in movies,TV,ect you decide to write a book of exposure! Next!!!!!

  • Ariana always gave me a weird energy and I am really good at discerning spirits. As a woman who has been sexually harassed and abused, while most of us are uncomfortable and not ok with it, there are women/girls who will do anything to be famous. Ariana has the careless attitude, she was ok with doing what that guy wanted her to do and that’s how she got famous, she thought it was funny when said she was visited by a demon, yes that’s real and she sold her soul literally and sacrificed people along the way

  • Lots of us grow up on the wrong side of the tracks…its not the fault of people who succeed around us….their upbringing is not your business, they will have problems too, but different problems. Dont compare yourself to others, carry on with your own gifts. If you have a legal issue hire an attorney, if you have a financial issue work harder.

  • When my boys were younger they would watch these shows after school. I can remember perusal parts as I cooked dinner and I was flabbergasted at the inappropriate things that they would slip in the shows. One time the both of the girls just yelled out, “peanuts, peanuts, peanuts!!!!” Say that out load and what does it sound like? Yeah, it didn’t fit in the story line, they were not eating peanuts, etc. Not really surprising now that we now how perverted and sick these Hollywood people and producers are.

  • I’m sorry. I respect her for speaking her truth but Ariana has nothing to do with anything. She doesn’t have to speak out in favor of her or against anyone. What if she also has trauma? People deal with things differently. What if she wants to suppress it. No disrespect but Jeanette was the same person who attacked Ariana on her web show when she left Nickelodeon constantly. For a person who didn’t like fame she went out her way to make sure she shamed Ariana constantly. Then nowadays she’s acted as if her and Ariana have always been friends. Speaking on her and Pete’s relationship saying she knows Ariana and that they are perfect for each other. I personally think she was jealous of Ariana and she still is jealous. She apologized in the book to Ariana for some things she did because she was jealous and then stated publicly that she wanted Ariana to read the book for that. Why couldn’t you apologize in person? I personally think she is still jealous of her. I’m proud of her for speaking about what went wrong in that environment and her life but why are we constantly bringing up Ariana. She can speak when she’s ready to.

  • Please Jeanette, don’t feel envious of Ariana or any of these celebrities. Ariana isn’t mentally well in my opinion, morally well, and she still looks like she is 14. Celebrities are involved with so much evil. I’m sorry your mom also didn’t protect you better. May God bless you and thank you for speaking out.

  • I’m shocked how she’s now okay with her moms death I know if it ever happened to my mom I would be rude and I wouldn’t care about anything I’d be hanging out with the kids in school that are always in trouble and I’m a good kid so I’m surprised she could let go of her mom it sounds like she really loved her

  • Ariana should be ashamed for remaining silent instead of using her platform to expose a child predator. Ariana may have had a better picture perfect upbringing than jeanette she had it worse. However, jeanette is a better person. That tough upbringing built her character, a character in which she has integrity enough to expose that predator. It also gained her respect, these are things and Ariana does not have.

  • This almost sounds like the Gypsy Rose case…. Also, just a reminder…running away from your problems will never help, your problems will always follow close behind you. The answer to leaving your problems behind without them catching up to you, is by praying. All you have to do is pray to Jesus Christ, the one who died and rose again all for you, just pray and your problems will disappear from your life, and Jesus will come into your life. I love you just as God loves you, keep going and don’t give up. Just pray.❤

  • (Disclaimer, this is a very long comment. If you’re feeling down please feel free to read. Otherwise, please don’t leave hate, I’m just trying to spread some love) As someone who as viewed Ariana grande as someone who “has it all” I can’t even fathom what Jennette was going through internally while working alongside her. Nickelodeon portrayed her as this rough around the edges, tomboy without manners, and put Ariana on a pedestal. She was portrayed this girly, ditsy, bubbly girl, and it definitely created a divide between both girls. I know all too well what it’s like to struggle mentally with body image and self love, and to compare myself to others. Even to this day I still find myself viewing these girls online as something I wish I could be. But I have to remind myself that these Instagram pictures are not reality. And even the most seemingly perfect girl has her own struggles. When your looks are your career, it can really screw with your head and pressure you to crash diet, get plastic surgery, and essentially just alter everything about yourself. And us “regular” women, idealize their realities as if they just wake up perfect and beautiful with no struggles, and have everything the world has to offer. So for anyone who struggles with self love and comparing themselves to instagram models and celebrities, just know that they have been altered to play a role in the media. They have probably struggled with loving themselves too, while also facing the pressure of having to form to societies beauty standards in order to stay relevant.

  • I wonder if one of the reasons she’s staying silent is because maybe she was also a victim, if admitting anything to the press, then she’s going to get more questions that she may not want to talk about publicly (involving her own experiences). Her team may also be forcing her to keep her mouth shut. Since her team makes money off of her.Just because one woman is ready to talk about abuse, doesn’t mean the other woman wants to. Ariana has problems she’s trying to hide. Unpopular way to look at it, but it could be a possibility.
